Now it is time for Raizen to find Wonder Woman! But he won't do it alone. Here we go!

Chapter 13

"What?!" Raizen yelled, "What do you mean she-?!"

Batman shushed him by saying "I don't know. She returned to Themyscira yesterday because she heard that one of her sisters went missing. And just this morning, I received a message from one of the Amazons saying that Wonder Woman went missing."

Raizen ran his right hand through his hair and said "What are we going to do?"

Batman thought about it and said "The League cannot enter Themyscira since the Amazons forbid men from entering."

He then looks at Raizen and said "But since you defeated Ares, the Amazons see you as their savior and allows you to come and go."

Raizen straighten up and said "Are you giving me my own solo mission?"

Batman replied "Appears so. When you are ready, make you way there."

"With all due respect," Raizen said, "I may need Wonder Girl on this mission with me. Mostly at the fact that I have no knowledge of these Amazons or their way of life."

Batman understood and said "Very well. Be sure to update her on the situation."

When Raizen nodded, he went back to the dining room where he saw the Team sitting on the couch. Kid Flash was to first to see him and said "You in trouble, Raisin Bran?"

As Raizen gritted his teeth, he calmed down and said "I need to speak with Wonder Girl…alone."

The Team all were confused and Donna just shrugged and said "I…suppose so."

When they left the room, Rocket squealed and thought "Looks like I am winning a bet!"

Once Raizen and Donna were out of the room, Donna blushed and said in a nervous way "So…Raizen, what is it that you need? I mean, if you want to…"

Raizen interrupted her by saying "Wonder Woman is missing."

Donna's expressions soon fell when she heard those words. She then said "My sister is missing? When?"

"Yesterday," Raizen said, "Batman told me that she left to Themyscira because one of your sisters went missing and then went missing from there. And since the League cannot go in without the Amazons attacking the males, Batman suggested me to go and find her since they trust me for defeating Ares."

He then said "But since I don't have any knowledge of the Amazons, I recommended you to come with me to find Wonder Woman."

Donna gave off a serious look and said "I'm glad that you thought of me to find my sister."

She then smiled and said "I thank you for this. So, when do we start?"

Raizen smiled back and said "We already have. Come on, the sooner we get to Themyscira, the better."

When they were walking, Donna asked "Are we going to take Megan's ship?"

Raizen shook his head and said "No, the Team will likely use it when we are gone. I suggest we fly there. It will take some time, but we will manage."

As Donna nodded, she and Raizen walked past the Team. When they saw them, Miss Martian said "Where are you guys going?"

The two of them looks at them and Raizen said "We are going out for awhile. Don't wait up for us."

And with that, the two of them left their sight. Everyone gasped and Robin said "Holy crap! Are they already going out?!"

"I can't believe it!" Kid Flash cried, "How the hell did he do that?!"

After a few minutes of flying, Donna and Raizen were almost near Themyscira. Before they left, Raizen took his Scouter just to be safe and thought that it might help find Wonder Woman. Donna was grateful that she was part of this mission to find her missing sisters. But what surprised her the most was the fact that Raizen thought of her to come along for the mission. Was it because he wanted her to find her missing sisters or he really doesn't know about the Amazons? When they landed in front of the Temple of Athena, they entered the temple just to see another Amazon, who went by the name of Helen.

When she saw Donna and Raizen, she sighed in relief and said "Sister Donna, you have arrived."

Donna rushed up to her and said "I have heard of our sisters."

"It's terrible," Helen said, "Just terrible."

She then looks over at Raizen and said in joy "And you have brought the man who defeated Ares! Praise the gods for answering our prayers!"

Raizen calmed her down by saying "Easy there, just tell us what happened. Start from the beginning."

Helen took a deep breath and said "Our sister Vixen had left the temple a few days ago to gather supplies for our stock. It would have taken at least an hour to do so…but she was missing three days ago. At that time, we contacted our sister Diana to find her, but at that time, she went missing as well!"

Donna thought about it and said "Do you know where they have gone?"

Helen shook her head and said "I'm sorry, my sister. For all I know, they could be anywhere."

Donna grunted and said "Curse it! Well…we will start looking around."

She then turns to Raizen and said "Come on, we will cover more grounds walking."

Raizen nodded and said "Then let's get to it."

After that, Raizen and Donna left the temple and made their way into the woods. As they were walking, Raizen said "So you have been an Amazon your whole life?"

Donna smiled proudly and said "Sure have. Being an Amazon is probably the best thing to have happen to me. I couldn't have asked for a better life."

"So why interested in being a part of the Team?" Raizen asked, "What made you interested in going out into the world?"

Donna stood quiet and said "When I heard that Sister Diana was making a difference in the world of men, I thought to myself that I wanted to be like her. You know, go away from Themyscira and helping those in need."

She then smiled and said "Even though I am with the Team instead with my sister, I feel like I am making a difference one step at a time."

Raizen smiled and said "Glad to hear that."

"So what about you?" Donna asked, "Why did you come to the world of man?"

Raizen stopped in his tracks when Donna asked the question. When Donna looked at him and was about to asked what was wrong, Raizen then replied "I…wanted to look for a place to…relax."

"Relax?" Donna asked, "Relax from what?"

Raizen looks at her and said "You see, we Saiyan are indeed warriors of heart. Going from one planet to another seeking battle can be…tiresome. So when I had some time to relax, I went out to find a planet to rest myself."

He then laughed and said "Who would have thought that I would end up in another dimension?"

"Well, I am glad you arrived," Donna said, "If you weren't here, gods knows what would have happen to Diana if…"

She was then interrupted when Raizen stopped her and said "Did you hear that?"

Donna listened carefully and said "I don't hear anything."

"Exactly," Raizen said, "Before you can hear the birds and everything else. But now…it's quiet. Too quiet."

Now realizing it, Donna said "You're right. It should never be this quiet."

"What do you think?" Raizen asked, "Something is disturbing this place?"

Donna replied "I can practically sense evil in this place."

Now being suspicious, the two of them prepared themselves for anything. Just as things were quiet, the silence was broken when they heard screeching noises. All of sudden, a couple of creatures appeared flying through the air. These creatures were Harpies, half woman and half birds. As the Harpies were circling them, Raizen raised his hands and started to glow yellow and then started to fire blasts at the Harpies. Despite killing two in the process, there were still three left. Donna then takes out her lasso and threw it at one of the Harpies. When the lasso wraps itself around the Harpy, she starts spinning around until the Harpy she had trapped knocks the remaining ones out. Once that happen, Donna then pulls the Harpy towards her, readied her left fist, and when the Harpy was close, she punches it across its face.

As the Harpy fell to the floor, Donna removed her lasso and said "Why are these Harpies out here?"

Raizen looks at her and asked "What do you mean?"

Donna replied "Harpies are mindless creatures who follow orders. There is no what that Harpies are out here. Unless…"

Raizen then said "Unless someone is out here."

"Question is: who?" Donna said, "Be on your guard."

When Raizen nodded, he and Donna continue to walk the woods until they spotted a cave nearby. Donna then looks at Raizen and said "You don't think that my sisters are in there?"

Once she said that, Raizen looks at the cave, pressed the button on his Scouter and began to scan the cave. After it let out a beep, Raizen said "I detected three power levels in there. Since two of them might be your missing sisters, the other one must be the kidnapper."

Donna gritted her teeth and said "Then let's go in there and save my sisters from whoever kidnapped them."

After Raizen nodded at her, the two of them entered the cave. Once they entered, it was too dark for any of them to see. Irritated, Donna said "I can't see anything here. We need some light."

All of a sudden, her lasso started to glow silver. When Donna grabbed her lasso, she holds it in the air to light up the cave. Now getting a better view, Raizen looks at her and said "Did not know it can do that. How did you do that?"

"I don't know," Donna said, "But it is helping us."

Minutes have passed by and they are getting nowhere. Just as they were about to give up, they stopped as they looked at two different tunnels leading to different places. Donna then looks at Raizen and said "What is your device telling us to go?"

When Raizen pressed his Scouter, it was starting to go haywire. Shocked by this, Raizen said "Something's wrong with it. I can't pinpoint the source."

Donna knew why and said "We're close. I say we split up."

Raizen looks at her and said "Are you sure? Who knows what we will fine."

Donna replied "It will take us longer if we search each one. If we split up, we can cover more grounds."

Worried about her idea, Raizen gave in and said "Alright, let's do that. But be careful."

As Donna nodded, she points to her left and said "I will take the left while you take the right."

Once Raizen agreed, the two of them went their separate ways. As Raizen was walking his path, it was starting to get dark. Realizing that Donna wasn't with him, he decides to use his own source of light. Raising his left hand, Raizen summoned a ball of yellow energy on his hand. Now lightning the way, Raizen proceeded down the cave. After a minute of walking, Raizen entered what looks like a temple. As he enters the temple, he saw various statues everywhere. From men to women, to different creatures. Raizen was impressed with the details on each statue.

Not knowing why a temple was here, after walking, he heard hissing in the air. Turning around, Raizen readied for anything. But once he did that, he saw nothing. Unknown to him, something slithered on the walls. This creature had the lower body of a snake while the top half of a woman. But its head was a mixture of both woman and snake, for it had the face of a woman while its hair consists of dozens of snakes. This was the vicious creature known as Medusa, a Gorgon who can turn its victims into stone with a simple gaze. As Medusa was stalking her new victim, Raizen was being cautions of his surroundings. Wanting to add this person to her collection of statues, Medusa was slithering around Raizen. Irritated with this hissing sound, Raizen was aiming his right hand around to find the source of the hissing, but failed. When Medusa was closer, she was behind Raizen waiting for him to turn around and become part of her collection.

Donna was walking down her path holding her lasso in the air. She hopes that Raizen is alright and has found her sisters. But she has to continue her path and hope that she finds her sisters. As she was walking, she saw a light at the end of the tunnel. Hurrying to the source of light, Donna manages to reach the end of the tunnel and gasped in surprise. She was in a room where in the center of the room had a large fire pit that was on top of a circle with a star in it. But what shocked Donna the most was her sisters Vixen and Wonder Woman chained to the wall. From the looks of it, they almost looked unconscious.

Acting in action, Donna rushed up to her sisters and said in a heartbroken way "Sister, what happen to you?"

Wonder Woman was the first to look at her and said in a fainted way "Donna…get out…of here…"

"Get out of here?" Donna asked in a worried way, "Why?"

All of a sudden, a voice let out a laugh and said "Well, Well, Well. What have we here?"

Donna stopped her actions at turned to the voice. She saw a woman had long red hair and plain white eyes and was wearing a purple robe with golden edges that had long sleeves and her robe ended down to her ankles while there was an opening on her left side, exposing her left leg. This was the sorceress Circe, Wonder Woman's enemy.

Circe laughed and said "If it isn't Wonder Woman's favorite sister. Shame that you are here."

"Circe!" Donna yelled, "What are you doing to my sisters?!"

Circe shook her head and replied "Not that you care, but might as well tell you."

As she was walking around Donna, she said "I am preparing a ritual I have discovered that will allow me to gain the strength of that of an Amazon. But in order for me to use this ritual, I will need to sacrifice three pure-born Amazons."

Realizing that it was a trap, Donna said "And what about my sister Diana?"

Circe laughed and said "I was surprised at her appearance, but her being part of this ritual is a bonus for me. Not only will I get rid of her, but at the same time, gain more strength from her."

Donna then said in rage "I will not let you take away my sisters!"

She then charged at her with her left fist ready to hit the sorceress. But Circe disappeared into a cloud of smoke and Donna flew past her. When Donna regained her balance, she looks around to find Circe. In a fast instant, Circe appeared in front of her and unleashed a powerful lightning spell on her. Yelling in pain, Donna was knocked to the ground. When she painfully got up, Circe began to fire more lightning spells until Donna used her bracelets to deflect them away from her. Having an opening to attack Circe, Donna flew towards her, but when she had her in her reach, Circe's body became ghost-like and Donna flew right through her. When Donna stopped herself, Circe became whole again and aims her hands at her. All of a sudden, a blast of purple energy from Circe's hands and towards Donna. Donna manages to roll out of the way and then grabs her lasso. As she throws it at Circe, the sorceress raised her hands and stopped Donna's lasso in mid-air. As Circe flicked her wrists, the lasso flew back to Donna, and suddenly, the lasso wrapped itself around Donna's body. Struggling to break free, Donna just fell to the floor.

"Are you kidding me?!" Donna angrily thought.

Circe laughed and said "Is this the best that the famous 'Wonder Girl' can do? What an embarrassment."

As Donna was still struggling to break free, Circe walks up to her and said "Well, it was nice to know you, but now I have to kill you."

Surprised by this, Donna said "But…why?"

She then remembers about the ritual and said "There is no way you are going to use me for your ritual."

Circe laughs and said "Who said anything about using you for my ritual?"

Donna was confused by this and said "What do you mean?"

Circe then replied "Didn't you hear me? I said I needed three pure-born Amazons. And frankly, you aren't one."

As Donna was confused by this, Circe gave her an amused look and said "You honestly don't know?"

"Know?" Donna asked, "Know about what?"

Circe laughed and said "Looks like you will never know."

She then aims her hands at Donna and her hands started to glow purple. As soon as she was going to fire it, there was a loud crash that bursted through one of the walls and towards the center of the room. When Circe and Donna look back, they saw a dead body in the center. When the dust cleared up, it revealed to be the body of Medusa. Except that her head was, what looks like, blown off.

Startled by this, Circe then said "What in the name of Hades?! Who…Who killed Medusa?!"

At that moment, Raizen came through the hole in the wall, looks around and said "That was…nasty."

Circe raised an eyebrow and said "A male in Themyscira? Since when the Amazons all men?"

Donna smiled and said "You don't know who he is? He is Raizen, Victor of the God of War."

"Him?" Circe said as she gave him an unimpressed look, "Doesn't look he's much."

Offended, Raizen said "I don't look much? Lady, have you seen me in action?"

Circe smiled and said "Allow me to help you with that."

As Raizen gave off a confused look, Circe then started to sign a harmonic song. Not understanding what she was doing, Raizen decides to attack her. But all of a sudden, he was starting to fell more relaxed. Raizen was suddenly drawn to Circe's beauty as he was walking towards her. But his mind was snapped back to reality when Circe fired a blast of purple energy towards his chest, knocking him to the ground.

Grunting in pain, Raizen said "What the hell was that?"

Donna replied "She is using her songs to lure you towards her trap. Just like she lures men to their doom."

Raizen the got up and said "What else can she do?"

Circe smiled and said "This."

She then aims her hands at Raizen and fired a powerful lightning spell. However, Raizen evaded her attack and counters it by firing a blast of energy at her. Reacting on instinct, Circe disappeared into thin air and allowed the blast to pass through. Looking around to look for Circe, he did not see her appear behind him. As she prepared a spell for him, his body started to glow yellow. Before she could attack, Raizen released a powerful wave of energy from his body that knocked Circe to the wall. As she fell to her knees, when she tried to get up, Circe saw Raizen turning towards her and knee kicks her in the chest, knocking the air out of her.

When she wraps her arms around herself, Circe looks at Raizen and said "Has anyone ever told you not to hit a woman?"

Raizen thought about it and simply said "No."

He then brings his right hand over his left shoulder and then slaps Circe across her face. The impact sends Circe to the ground, knocking her unconscious. Just as he got the upper-hand, Circe's body disappeared.

As Raizen looks around, Circe's voice said "Clearly you have a power that is more than I expected. Consider yourself lucky this day. But mark my words, the next time we meet, you will be mine."

With that, Circe's voice disappeared. Raizen was confused by this and said "Why does she want me to be hers?"

Off to the side, Donna said "How about a little help here?!"

Getting his mind focus, Raizen rushed to Donna and started to untie her. Once they were done, Donna got up and said "Come on, let us help our sisters down."

When Raizen nodded, he and Donna made their way to the chained sisters. While Raizen unlocked Vixen's chains, Donna unlocked Wonder Woman's chain. As she was doing that, she can't but wonder what Circe said before: about her not being a pure born Amazon. Donna has been raised in Themyscira her whole life, there was no way Circe was telling the truth. But then again, that made Donna wonder. Once the two of them unchained the Amazon sisters, Raizen and Donna made their way back the Temple of Athena.

Something did bother Donna. She then turns to Raizen and asked "Raizen, how did you manage to defeat Medusa?"

Raizen looks at her and replied "What?"

Donna said "Medusa can turn her victims to stone with a simple gaze. How did you avoid eye contact from her?"

Raizen eyes widen and said "Oh crap, she can do that? I just blew her head off because she startled me."

Donna gave off a surprised look and said "I think I just got my answer."

And that is it! I know some of you wanted Ares, but I feel like Circe would be the one to kidnap Wonder Woman because in the comic books, she is one of her nemesis. Anyways, I hope you enjoyed this chapter and see you all next time.
