And now it's time for Raizen and the others to save Batman!

Chapter 21

Two days later…

"Okay," Batgirl said, "Everyone knows the plan?"

Red Hood, Red Robin, Starfire and Raizen nodded their heads. Batgirl said "Good, once Raizen starts attacking, me and the others will sneak in. Since the Regime will be so focus on Raizen, they won't bother looking out for us when we use the Batship. And since all the heavy hitters will go after him, they will leave all the non-powered thugs behind to guard Batman."

Starfire looks at Raizen and said "Sorry if we drag you into this situation, friend."

Raizen shrugs it off and said "Nah, it's fine. I need the workout."

"You are going up against Superman's Generals," Red Hood said, "You are crazy."

"Enough," Batgirl said, "Let's head out. The sooner we save Batman the better."

Stryker Island…

Beneath the base, Batman was chained inside a cell. His mask was removed, showing his bruised face and blood was pouring down his face. Just then, the doors opened revealing to be Superman. Once Superman was near Batman, he smirked and said "So…after all these years, you thought you can escape me? Well, now I have gotten you and you will pay for your crimes against the Regime."

Batman replied "Pay for my crimes? Have you seen your actions against this planet?"

"What I did was bring peace," Superman said.

Batman said "What you did was bring suffering to this world, not peace."

"Well, no matter," Superman said, "Your death will end the Insurgents once and for all."

Batman huffed and said "Is Diana here to 'witness' my death?"

Superman gave him a dirty look and said "I told her to stay back at the Fortress. Didn't want her to 'relive' some feelings for you."

He then said "And now that you're Insurgents will fall, no one will dare go up against me."

Outside…

Sinestro and Yellow Lantern were patrolling the skies looking out for anything that will disturb Batman's execution. Knowing the Insurgents, some fool will try to save him. As they were searching around, their rings started to beep. When they saw their rings, they knew that that danger was approaching, but where? Looking around, as Yellow Lantern and Sinestro were about to give up, they looked up and saw something falling from the skies. As they look closer, the object was falling faster than they expected. Before they could use their power rings, the object flew right past them and crashed to the ground below. When the smoke cleared they saw Raizen standing in the center of the crater. As Yellow Lantern raised an eyebrow at the newcomer, he looks at Sinestro, who had a serious look on his face. When he raised his ring at Yellow Lantern and showed a wanted picture with Raizen's picture on it, Yellow Lantern nodded at him.

When the two of them flew towards Raizen, Sinestro said "Halt. In the name of the High Councilor, you are under arrest."

Yellow Lantern then said "Don't make this hard on yourself."

But Raizen just smiled and said "Then charge me for resisting arrest."

Before anyone could react, Raizen flew towards Sinestro in lightning speed and delivers a powerful punch across his face, sending him flying away from them. Seeing this, Yellow Lantern acted fast as he held out his ring at Raizen. Yellow Lantern summons dozens of missiles and sent them flying at the Saiyan. But with speed, Raizen manages to dodge them. After he did that, Raizen raised his hands and fired countless blast of energy at him. However, Yellow Lantern brought up his shields and blocks Raizen's attacks. As Yellow Lantern was distracted by the blasts, Raizen disappeared into thin air and reappeared behind Yellow Lantern. Before Yellow Lantern could react, Raizen raised up his fists and brought them down across Lantern's head. The force sends Yellow Lantern flying to the ground and caused a crater.

After getting up, Yellow Lantern gritted his teeth, looks at a nearby guard and said "Send off the alarm. Omega level threat."

With Superman and Batman…

The alarms started to go off. Superman and Batman both looked up and wondered what was going on. Superman pressed his left ear, where an earpiece is, and said "What is going on?"

On the other end, Sinestro said "It appears that this 'Raisin' you mention is here attacking us."

Superman said "I don't care how much men you send, get rid of him."

After he spoke, he looks at Batman and said "Stay put, I am going to get rid of an unwanted guest."

With that, Superman left the prison cell. Once he was out of sight, the bottom of the floor lit up and started to melt away. From the hole, Starfire, Batgirl, Red Hood and Red Robin emerged unharmed.

Red Robin then whispered "Holy crap, that actually worked!"

"Keep it down," Red Hood said as he took out a security badge, "Mission is not over."

Batgirl raised an eyebrow and said "Where did you get that?"

Red Hood shrugged and replied "Got it from one of the guards we knocked out. Never know when we need one, right?"

As Batgirl shook her head, Starfire then said "Let us free Batman and leave. I hope our new friend is alright."

With Raizen…

Raizen was now trapped by Sinestro and Yellow Lantern. The both of them summoned chains that wrapped themselves around Raizen's arms. Instead of submitting, Raizen grabs them, smiles and said "Let's go for a spin!"

He then twists his body and starts spinning along with Sinestro and Yellow Lantern. After spinning for a couple seconds, Raizen hurls his arms the ground, and by some miracle, both Sinestro and Yellow Lantern were sent flying to the ground. Once they crashed, Raizen lands on the ground just as two more arrivals showed up. When Raizen looks, he saw Solomon Grundy and Bane. When Raizen cracked his knuckles, the two villains charged at Raizen. As Grundy was closing in on the Saiyan, Raizen leaps into the air and delivers a powerful kick across the face, sending the zombie crashing into a wall. Regaining his footing, Raizen turns and sees Bane throwing a left fist. But Raizen held up his right hand and blocks Bane's attack. Bane then throws his right fist, but Raizen blocks it with his left hand. Pushing Bane's arms to the side, Raizen leaps into the air and kicks Bane with both of his feet, sending Bane flying away. Just as Raizen was about to relax, Hawk Woman and Flash appeared.

Raizen looks at them and said "So, round two?"

Without replying, the both of them charged at Raizen. Flash used his super speed to try to land a hit on Raizen. But just like before, Raizen manages to dodge all of his attacks. When he starts getting bored, Raizen starts countering Flash's attack and landed a powerful blow to Flash's stomach. He then brings his left leg back and kicks him across the body, sending him away from him. In the air, Hawk Woman flies down to Raizen with her mace ready to smash him. But Raizen saw this, blocks Hawk Woman's mace and raises his right hand at her. Before she could react, Raizen sends a blast of energy at her, causing her to fly away from him, and somehow, crashed into the water that surrounded Stryker Island.

As Raizen looks around and saw everyone barely getting up, he said "You all done?"

Just then, a flood of water appeared out of nowhere and washed Raizen away. Surprised by this attack, Raizen flew out of the water and saw Aquaman with his trident in his hands. As Raizen was in the air, there were blue beams of energy firing at him. Looking over, he saw Cyborg with his arm-cannon aiming at him. Evening the odds, Raizen flew towards Cyborg and lands in front of him. Cyborg then transforms his arms into bigger size fists and swings them at Raizen. But Raizen merely crossed his arms as Cyborg was hitting him. After countless punches, Cyborg had enough as he aims his fists towards him, merged together and started to transform into a giant cannon. As Cyborg aimed, he fires a blast of blue energy at Raizen. But the Saiyan merely stood there as the blast made contact with him and exploded. Once the light from the blast died down, Raizen was still standing. As Cyborg was surprised at this, Raizen disappeared into thin air and reappeared in front of Cyborg. Before Cyborg could do anything, Raizen grabbed him by the neck. Out of the corner of his eye, Raizen saw Aquaman ready to use his trident. Gripping tight on Cyborg's neck, Raizen threw him at Aquaman. Seeing this, Aquaman rolled out of the way as Cyborg flew past him. When Aquaman looked back at Raizen, he saw him already in front of him! Before Aquaman could do anything, Raizen already delivered a powerful knee-kick in Aquaman's stomach, causing him to gasp for air. And as soon as that happened, Raizen brought his left fist over his right shoulder and back-fists Aquaman away from him.

Raizen looks around, sighs and said "Seriously? That is it? I was hoping for…"

All of a sudden a voice behind him said "Well, seems you caused some trouble."

Hearing that voice made Raizen's blood boil. Looking back, Raizen saw Superman flying over him. Superman gave Raizen a provoked look and said "You think you can barge in here and ruin everything?"

Raizen shrugged and said "Don't know. What am I ruining?"

Superman narrowed his eyes and said "You know what."

"Batman's execution?" Raizen said, "I suppose so."

Superman shook his head and said "Do you have any idea how long it took us to find him? Don't think you preventing his execution will bring hope."

"Hope?" Raizen said in a furious way, "Hope?! You're the asshole who destroyed everyone's hope! You were supposed to be Earth's protector not tyrant! You killed your fellow friends and teammates! And you have the guts to tell me about hope?! You may be ruling this planet, but deep down, you are nothing more than a coward!"

Superman's eyes started to glow red and said "Don't you dare insult me! I did the right thing!"

Raizen then said "I've heard about what happened to your wife and what the Joker did. If you really were the hero you were back then, you should have accepted the consequences. But instead, you chose the easy way out and decided it would be best to take over the world and 'bring' peace!"

As Superman grips his fist from the mere mention of his deceased wife, Raizen added more insult to Superman's feelings by saying "If Lois was alive, she would be disappointed to the man you've become."

Hearing that made Superman yell, and before he could attack, his earpiece ringed and Nightwing's voice said "High Councilor, we have a problem!"

Superman pressed his earpiece and yelled "Not now! I am in the middle of something!"

But Nightwing's voice said "It's Batman! He's escape!"

Stunned by this, Superman said "How?!"

Nightwing replied "Me, Killer Frost, Catwoman and Raven caught a few Insurgents freeing Batman. We tried to stop them, but they got the jump on us! And now they are gone!"

Superman then looks back at Raizen and thought "This brat was distracting us from the start! He never intended to break Bruce free! He was just playing decoy while the Insurgents broke him free!"

"What's the matter?" Raizen asked as he smiled, "Loss something?"

Irritated, Superman said "You know what? Forget this! I will show the world what happens when they free Batman!"

He then turns around and starts to fly away. Raizen saw this and shouted "Hey! I am not done with you!"

Just as Raizen was about to charge at him, two blurs flew towards Raizen and crashed to the ground. When Raizen got up, he saw Shazam and Black Adam standing in front of him. By that time, everyone who Raizen beat up were now standing. They know too well that if they interfere, they might get in the crossfire. Once Raizen was standing, Shazam and Black Adam flew towards him and starts throwing punches at him. But with speed, Raizen manages to evade their attacks. As both Black Adam and Shazam were throwing their punches, Raizen manages to counter them and manages to land a few blows on them. Wanting to end this, in a fast reaction, Black Adam and Shazam grabbed Raizen and gripped him hard. Knowing what the two of them were about to do, everyone just took cover.

Just as Raizen was about to break free, Shazam and Black Adam both shouted "Shazam!"

And just like that, a blast of lightning shot from the sky and landed a clean hit on Raizen and the others. The blast released a gust of smoke everywhere. As everyone covered their eyes, they all thought it was over since Black Adam and Shazam used their special attack. Just as they believe it was over, both Black Adam and Shazam were knocked towards them. As everyone look at the smoke, it cleared up and saw Raizen standing unharmed.

Raizen cracked his neck and said "Well…my turn."

All of a sudden, his whole body started to cover in yellow energy. And before anyone could react, Raizen spread his arms and released a blast of energy. The blast not only knocked everyone out, but in the process, destroyed a few buildings. Once the blast disappeared, Raizen took a deep breath and looks around. It didn't surprise him to see all of Superman's generals knocked unconscious.

As Raizen huffed, his Scouter beeped and Batgirl's voice said "Raizen! What happened?"

A few days ago, Batgirl installed a communication device in Raizen's Scouter. Raizen pressed the button and said "Not much happened. Just defeated all of Superman's generals."

There was a moment of silence when Starfire said "You're joking, right?"

Raizen shook his head and said "No, I did."

Batman's voice then said "But Superman got away?"

"Yeah," Raizen said, "He said something about showing the world what happens when we freed Batman. What do you think he will do?"

Everyone thought about it and Red Robin said "You don't think he is going to use nuclear weapons, do you?"

Batman replied "Knowing him, no."

Thinking about it, Raizen said "Who else is left standing in Superman's Regime?"

Batman replied "The only people standing are Wonder Woman and…"

His eyes then widen and said "Superman has Doomsday!"

Batgirl then said "And if what Superman said is true, then he might use him!"

Now knowing what Superman's plan is, Raizen said "Where is he now?"

"No," Batman said, "You are not going after him."

Red Hood's voice then said "He went to the Fortress of Solitude."

"Jason!" everyone shouted.

Red Hood said "Hey, he asked."

"Thanks, Jason," Raizen said, "Now if you excuse me, I am going to stop him."

Before Batman was going to talk Raizen out of it, Raizen turned off the communication. Raizen knew where the Fortress was, Superman asked him and Superboy to watch over it while Superman was away. And now Raizen knew where it was, he flew towards the Fortress and prepared himself to stop Superman. And if Wonder Woman and Doomsday get in his way, he will do whatever he can take them out before reaching Superman.
