Just a heads up, this chapter and the following chapters won't have that much action in them. Sure there will be some fights, but there won't be as major as the ones before. This will focus mostly on Donna and Raizen. That's right people, it is almost time for them to be a pair! With that, let us start!

Chapter 23

Raizen was comfortably sitting down on the couch while watching TV. It was weeks after Raizen's journey into the other universe and defeated the other Superman. When he returned to his teammates, he told them his adventures there. But he left out about their 'deaths' along with Batman's identity. However, he did tell Robin about it along with his identity. As Robin was shocked at this, Raizen calmed him down and told him that their secret is safe. Right now, Raizen was bored out of his mind. It is almost three days before Christmas and Raizen hasn't heard any news from Robin in regards to Donna's birth family. He and his team have been given the week off to enjoy themselves before returning to their 'jobs' as Kid Flash would say.

Wearing his civilian clothes, Raizen rested his arms on his head and relaxed until he heard the computer said "Recognize: Robin."

Hearing Robin's name, he hoped that he found something. When he turns around and see Robin in his civilian clothes, Raizen said "What's up, Dick. You need something?"

Robin quickly looks around before looking at him and saying "Dude, you're lucky no one is here!"

"Robin," Raizen said, "Miss Martian and Superboy are out with Aqualad and Rocket, Zatanna is with Artemis and Kid Flash and Donna is with her sister back at Themyscira. No one but me is here."

"Just checking," Robin said before taking out a file, "Wouldn't want you 'girlfriend' peeking at her gift early."

Raizen chuckled and said "I told you, she is not my…"

He then stopped, looks at him in a surprised way and said "You found it?"

"Hell yeah, I did," Robin said, "Took me a while, but I manage to find Donna's biological parents."

Quickly getting up, Raizen said "So, what does it say?"

Robin took a deep breath and said "Everything I know about Donna's family is in here. You sure you want to know?"

After a moment of silence, Raizen nodded and said "Show me what you got."

Motioning Raizen to follow him, Robin led Raizen to a nearby table and opened the file. There were dozens of papers scattered throughout the table. Robin then picks one of the papers and gives it to Raizen. When Raizen looks at the paper, he saw a picture of a woman in her forties with long black hair and blue eyes.

As Raizen was looking at the paper, Robin said "Meet Katharine Kinston-Robinson, Donna's biological mother. Age 42 and was born in 1972. She is from Greenville, Colorado and is a teacher in Greenville Elementary. When Wonder Woman got Donna from her when she was running for her life, there has only been one Amber Alert since Donna's 'disappearance'. She has no criminal record and is never arrested."

That part threw Raizen off a bit. If Donna's mother was never convinced of any crime, then why was she running away? Raizen looks at him and asked "If that's true then why…"

"Was she running for her life?" Robin said as he got another paper, "Here is why."

As he handed Raizen the paper, he got it and saw it. It showed Raizen a picture of man in his late forties with short brown hair, black eyes and was very muscular. Robin then said "Meet Frank Robinson, Katharine's husband."

Raizen raised an eyebrow and asked "And you're showing me this because?"

"Because he IS the reason Katharine was running," Robin said, "Turns out, they weren't the happiest of couples. Since they got married, old Frank here has been an alcoholic and has been drinking too much. He would come home drunk and beats Katharine up. There have been several incidents of spousal abuse, but neighbors never testify due to them being scared of Frank."

When Raizen heard that, rage boiled inside of him. For this man to beat up his wife was a disgrace in his eyes. Sure Raizen's parents would occasionally fight against each other, but that was only because they train themselves to become stronger. But for this man to beat up a defenseless woman, it made Raizen furious.

Raizen was taking in deep breaths and said "So is that why Donna's mother was running? To escape from him?"

Robin shook his head and replied "No, that's not it."

He pulled out several papers and said "These are trial files for Frank."

Before Raizen could say anything, Robin said "Before I go further, I have good news and bad news."

Wanting to get over it, Raizen said "What's the bad news?"

Robin took a deep breath and said "Well, the reason why Donna's mother was running away with her is because Frank had threatened to kill her."

As Raizen eyes widen, Robin continued by saying "He thought that she was cheating on him and believe the child wasn't his. But she told him she never slept with anyone. When he threatened her to abort her child, she was on the run from him and stayed with her parents' house. She even filed a restraining order on him to keep the baby save. Worked for a while until Frank showed up and chased her down."

He then said "I believe it was then when she has Donna, barely an infant, and met Wonder Woman and gave her the baby. Because after that, they reported and Amber Alert on her since then."

Fearing for the worse, Raizen said "And Donna's mother?"

Robin stood there quiet and said "She was then found on the ground with at least 10 stabs wounds on her."

When Raizen heard that, he lost it. He picked up a nearby chair, threw it across the room and it to the TV. Raizen then shouted "That fucking asshole! I can't believe he actually killed his own wife! And he thought she was cheating on him!"

Robin then said "At least he is serving his time. The police gathered the evidence and all pointed to Frank. He was found guilty and was sentenced to the state prison."

Raizen sat down on one of the chairs, he sadly sighed and said "And what of the good news?"

Expecting something else, Robin surprised him by saying "The good news? Despite those stab wounds, Donna's mother survived."

Surprised, Raizen got up on his feet and said "What? Really?"

"I have the hospital reports," Robin said, "After she was stabbed, she was quickly rushed to the hospital just in time to save her. That is how she confirmed that Frank was the one who stabbed her. When police asked where her child was, she replied that she was somewhere safe from her, nowadays, ex-husband. And soon as Frank was put away for attempted murder, that is when she and her family set up the Amber Alert."

That made Raizen sigh in relief. One minute, he thought Donna's mother was dead and now he hears her being alive. He quickly looks at Robin and said "Do you know where she lives?"

Robin nodded and replied "She lives with her sister at 1429 Valley Ave. Ever since that day, she never remarried."

Looking over at all the papers, Raizen looks at him and said "Thank you for all of this. Although, Donna will be hurt by this information, she will still be happy to see her mother."

"Ah, don't mention it," Robin said, "Good luck with Donna. And Merry Christmas, bro."

With that, Robin left through the Zeta Tubes and left Raizen alone. After looking through all the papers, Raizen gathered them all up, put them in the folder and headed to Themyscira. Flying for several minutes, Raizen arrived at Themyscira. When he landed near a temple, he looks around before seeing an axe flying towards him. In reaction, Raizen ducks down as the axe flew past him and implanted on the wall.

Looking around, he saw an Amazon heading towards him. The Amazon then said "Who are you? Why have you come here?"

Seeing that he was in his regular clothes, Raizen held out his arms and said "Whoa, Whoa, Whoa! Calm down, it's me, Raizen! You know, the one who defeated Ares and saved your sisters!"

Realizing that it was Raizen, the Amazon said "Great Hera, forgive me. I thought you were some stranger."

"Just call out a warning before attacking," Raizen said, "But anyways, do you know where Donna is?"

The Amazon nodded and said "She is in the training field with Diana."

When Raizen thanked her, he made his way to the training field. Once there, he saw Wonder Woman and Donna swinging their swords at each other. Despite being a friendly fight, Raizen still remembers the other Wonder Woman killing the other Donna and feels like stepping in. Raizen didn't want to lose Donna from his life.

"What the hell?" Raizen thought, "Why thinking about that? Sure she is my teammate, but…"

"Raizen?" Donna asked when she saw him.

Hearing Donna's sweet voice…

"Damn, there I go again," Raizen thought before saying, "Hey Donna, Diana. Good to see you."

Wonder Woman and Donna walks up to him and Wonder Woman said "This is a surprise seeing you here."

Pretending to be hurt, Raizen places his hand over his heart and said "You guys don't want me here? I'm hurt."

Shaking their heads, Donna said "No, it's not that. We're just surprised. You don't come and visit us."

Raizen crossed his arms and said "You should know why."

As they smiled, Wonder Woman said "So what do we owe the pleasure?"

Hearing that, Raizen replied "I figure to give Donna her Christmas gift."

"Aw," Donna said, "You didn't have to get me anything."

"But I had to," Raizen said, "I figure you would like it."

Donna playfully shook her head and said "Sorry to say this, but I have no interest in items from the world of men."

When they reached the dining hall, Raizen crossed his arms and said "What if I told you that I have something that you always wanted."

Now interested, Donna and Wonder Woman look at Raizen and Wonder Woman asked "What would that be?"

Taking out the file and holds it in his hand, Raizen replied "How about the chance for Donna to see her birth family?"

When Raizen said that, both Donna and Wonder Woman were shocked at that. Still in shock, Donna said "What?"

Raizen replied "I figure since I learned the Christmas is a time to give someone a gift of meaning, I figure since you never had the chance to meet your biological family, you can…"

He stopped when he saw Donna almost breaking down in tears. Feeling like he said something wrong, Raizen asked "Are…Are you alright? You look like…"

All of a sudden, Donna rushed towards him and wraps herself around Raizen's neck. Surprised by this reaction, Raizen felt Donna's tears touching his shoulders. As he wrapped his arms around her and tried to comfort her, Donna said "Did…Did you actually find them?"

When the two of them separated, Raizen places the file on the table and said "I had help from Robin. Everything is in there. But…be warn, you may not like some parts you may not like."

As Raizen showed Donna and Wonder Woman the files, they start looking through the papers. After looking through ever file there was, sadness was brought across Donna's face when she read about the situation between her birth parents. She was furious when she read the part where her biological father tried to kill her biological mother. After finishing reading all the files, Donna sat on one of the chairs.

Wonder Woman broke the silence and said "I…can't believe this. I had no idea she was in that kind of danger. If I stayed longer, then I would have helped her out."

"You had to make a quick decision, Diana," Raizen said, "You did what you thought was right. And besides that, she is alive and well."

Finally speaking up, Donna said "Can…Can I go see her?"

Raizen and Wonder Woman look at her as she said "Can I see my…mother?"

Surprised by her suggestion, Wonder Woman understood her situation and said "If that is what you wish, then I will not stop you."

Donna looks at her and asked "You don't want to come?"

As Wonder Woman raised an eyebrow, Raizen said "You are the one who saved Donna. It would be fair if you go with her."

Wonder Woman shook her head and said "I'm afraid I can't. Not that I want to accompany you, but because I still have responsibilities in the Justice League."

When she looks at Raizen, she gave of a devious smile and said "But, since Raizen is the one who brought you this file and has free time, he could accompany you."

"Actually," Raizen said, "I had helped from Robin and…"

He then looks at Wonder Woman and said "Wait, what?"

"That's right," Wonder Woman said, "You're the one who gave this to Donna, I guess it's fair for you to go with Donna."

Before Raizen could say anything, Donna grabbed his arm and said in an excited way "Please, Raizen! I would mean a lot to me!"

Seeing her puppy eyes, Raizen gave in and said "Very well, I will go with you."

As Donna cheered, Raizen said "But you may need to wear some clothes. Don't want your mother finding out that her long lost daughter is an Amazon Hero."

But Donna replied "What if she is curious of what I have been doing in my life? I guess it would be fair to let her know about my life."

Hesitating about this idea, but Wonder Woman said "The decision is up to you. If you want to tell here about your heritage as an Amazon, then I will not stop."

Grateful, Donna walks up to Wonder Woman, hugs her and said "No matter what happens, you, Hippolyta and my sister will always be my family."

Touched by Donna's words, Wonder Woman hugs her back and said "Good luck in your search for your mother."

When the two departed, Wonder Woman looks at Raizen and said "Take care of her, alright?"

Raizen nodded and replied "I'll keep a close eye on her."

With that, both Raizen and Donna started to fly away from Themyscira. Along the way, Donna looks over at Raizen and said "Think we should stop by the base before heading out?"

Raizen thought about it and replied "Yeah, just to change into your civilian clothes. Wouldn't want to surprise your mother by wearing your Wonder Girl outfit."

Couldn't hold in her excitement, Donna cried "I can't believe it! After all this time, I am finally going to meet my biological family!"

Raizen just smiled at Donna's excitement. If he heard that he had the chance to meet his long lost family, then he would take the chance. But thinking about that, it made Raizen wonder how his family was doing back at Planet Vegeta. He wonders that if they sent out some sort of search party to look for him. However, he decides to put those thoughts aside and focus on heading to Mount Justice. He just hopes that Donna's reunion will go smoothly.

Touching chapter, isn't it? I hope you all enjoyed this chapter. Anyways, sorry for making it short and won't be any action sooner or later. But I promise, after Donna's reunion with her biological family, there will be a BIG battle.
