Time for another chapter! Now before I start, I have an announcement. Due to the other projects I am working on currently plus one in the process and me going to school, I made update a little slower. I will update, but that will be later on. This chapter may be short, but it will be a prologue to an epic showdown! Let us begin!

Chapter 25

It has been a few days after Christmas and things have been better than ever. Donna had finally found the family she has been looking for and Katharine was finally reunited with her daughter. Ever since, Donna and her newly found family have spent a lot of time together, talking about each other's life. After a few days spending there, Donna and Raizen returned to Mount Justice. Donna promised her new family that she will visit them when she has the time. But that wasn't the only thing that happened during that time. Since they returned to the base, Raizen and Donna have spent together. Since their other teammates were out spending time with their families and friends, Raizen and Donna didn't have to worry about being bothered.

As Raizen was waking up from his sleep, he felt extra weight on his chest. When he looks down, he smiled at the sight of Donna's head on his chest and her arm wrapped around him. As he ran his hand through her hair and she slowly started to wake up.

Once Donna saw him awake, she smiled and said "Morning."

When she kissed him and the two departed, Raizen smiled back and said "Morning, so…what do you want to do today?"

"How about breakfast first?" Donna asked, "Then we'll see from there."

"Alright," Raizen said as he got up, "I'll get some stuff ready."

Wearing nothing but grey sweatpants, Raizen made his way to the kitchen. However, once he got there, he heard voices. Alerted, Raizen quietly made his to the kitchen and saw Miss Martian, Artemis, Kid Flash and Superboy there. When Raizen tried to return to his room, Kid Flash saw him and said "Hey, Raisin Bran! What's up?"

Raizen looks at him and quickly replied "Not much. I am just going to go to my room and change. Didn't know you guys were here."

As Miss Martian blushed at his upper body, Superboy said "Well then, go and put a shirt on"

Just as Raizen was about to leave, Artemis said "Wait a minute, what's going on?"

Trying to act innocent, Raizen said "What are you talking about?"

Artemis replied "The fact that you did not get mad at Wally calling you Raisin Bran and wanting to put a shirt on, even though you don't care about what other's think, you're hiding something."

Everyone was interested in what Artemis said. It was true: Raizen didn't care if he didn't what he was wearing and said it himself that he doesn't like wearing civilian clothes. And not only that, Raizen would either smack or step on Kid Flash's foot for calling him Raisin Bran. So…why now?

Just as they were about to ask, they heard Donna's voice from the hallways saying "Hey Raizen, I think we should go around Happy Harbor. You know, view the town and then…"

The moment she entered the kitchen and saw her fellow teammates there, she just stopped with her eyes widened. She was just wearing her bra and underwear that was covered in Raizen's black shirt. Everyone, except for Raizen, had their mouth opened when they saw Donna. When Miss Martian saw the shirt and knew that it belonged to Raizen, she blushed even more.

"Oh my god," Miss Martian said, "Donna, are you wearing Raizen's shirt?!"

Speechless, Donna didn't know what to say and Raizen just pinched the bridge of his nose. Kid Flash knew what they were saying and cried "Dude! Did you just scored or something?!"

Artemis just smacks him in the back of the head and said "Rude."

She then looks at them and said "But seriously, you two?!"

As Raizen rubbed his head, he said "Well…you see…um…"

Donna then said "We sort of, you know, got together as you would say."

Everyone just stood there speechless out of their minds. They would have never thought that Raizen would be in a relationship, since they know the type of person he is. But what surprised them more is the fact that not only is he in a relationship now, but he is with Donna! How the hell did that happen?!

"Okay," Superboy said, "We have been gone for almost a week, minding our own business, and when we come back, you guys are in a relationship? How did that happen?!"

"Well," Raizen said, "It just…sort of happened."

"And," Miss Martian said, "Why is she wearing your shirt?"

Donna blushed even more and said "Well…I kind of…fell asleep…on him…in his bed."

There was a moment of silence and Kid Flash cried "Holy crap! You guys are already that far in your relationship?! Damn, that's fast!"

"Uh," Raizen said, "Yeah, we are going to change now."

With that, both Donna and Raizen left the room. As everyone's mouth was still open, Artemis then said "Damn it, and I betted against Rocket."

A few hours later, everyone on the Team returned to the base to get together for their own party. They were all surprised that Donna and Raizen were finally together, mostly Rocket since she won the bet she had with Artemis. As they all sat on the table having their lunch, Aqualad looks over at Raizen and said "Raizen, why don't you tell us more about yourself?"

Raizen looks at him and replied "I have been on the Team for a while; I think you guys know about me."

Miss Martian then said "What he means about tell us about your race. Tell us more about the Saiyans."

When she said that, Raizen was silent. Donna felt something wrong when she sees Raizen like this when his race is brought up. After a moment of silence, Raizen said "Well…as I said, the Saiyans are born warriors who are both feared and respected in the universe. Not only were we warriors, but we were also a striving kingdom."

He then said "We ruled our own independent kingdom and made trades with other planets. Our king was a well-respected warrior and protected us. And trust me, he is powerful."

Interested, Superboy asked "How powerful?"

"Let's just say that he can wiped out an entire armada," Raizen said, "And that's only when he is in a good mood."

As everyone whistles at that, Rocket then said "And where do you stand in strength?"

Raizen rubs his neck and said "Well…before I arrived here, I was part of the Elite Class. They are the ones who serve as guards for the king. And I was the best."

"Woah," Robin said, "You were pretty strong to be part of that class."

As Raizen smiles, Zatanna asked "And your planet?"

Raizen replied "My home planet has the harshest weather and the hottest sun in the entire universe. The weather changes dramatically when the seasons come and go: one minute it could be the hottest in the summer, and the next day, it will be freezing in the winter. But, it's our home and we all learned to adapt to it."

"Jeez," Kid Flash said, "Why not just move?"

Raizen shook his head and replied "Like I said, it's home of the Saiyans. We weren't going anywhere."

Donna then said "What about your family? Can you tell us about them?"

Raizen thought for a moment and said "My father was the strict one, always pushing me to my limits and making me stronger. My mother was always caring, always looking after my health and well-being. Sometimes giving me that push to try my hardest."

He then smiles and said "And finally my little sister. You all would have liked her, she is the most cheerful and kindest person you will meet. She is only 8 years old and loves to meet new people. Just…be careful of her hugs, Saiyan kids don't have full control of their strengths and could end up breaking one's back."

Everyone laughed and Artemis said "Though, that does raise the question: Do you miss your family?"

Raizen stood there silent and replied "More than you know it."

"Well," Miss Martian said, "Can you go and visit them?"

Before Raizen could reply, Miss Martian bumps her head and said "Hello Megan! I forgot that the Saiyans are in another universe! Sorry!"

Raizen chuckles and said "That is alright. But…I will see them soon enough."

Donna raised an eyebrow and asked "What do you mean?"

Right before he was going to reply, there was a loud alarm going throughout the base. Everyone got up and started to look around. All of a sudden, there was a flash of light and a man appeared out of nowhere. The man was wearing a suit that the upper body was red while the lower body was black with a silver belt, black boots and gloves and a silver helmet with a red gem in the center. And from the looks of it, this man was in man: part of his suit was torn up, part of his helmet was burned off and he was bleeding from his wounds.

The man grunted in pain and said "Where's…Superman?"

After that, the man past out and fell forward. The Team look at each other and Kid Flash asked "Who's this guy?"

The Team waited at Mount Justice as the League came n picked up the mysterious man. They were shocked to see the man and they immediately took him to the Watchtower. As they all waited, a the computer said "Recognize: Batman, Superman."

The Team looked at the Zeta Tubes as they saw Batman and Superman rushing in. Once the two League members were close, Batman said "Team, we have a urgent matter."

Superman summoned the hologram keyboard began to type and showed the image of the man earlier. Superman then said "Meet Orion. He is from New Genesis and an old ally when we faced our greatest foe. His planet was attack and came to use to warn us of their attack. Their enemy plans on attacking us next."

"Okay?" Superboy said, "We can take them out."

Batman shook his head and said "Not that simple. New Genesis is a living paradise and houses its greatest heroes. But it was attacked by its counterpart world: Apokolips. And its ruler is a monster compare to what we faced."

When Batman typed on the keyboards, an image of a giant, grey-skinned being stood before them wearing a black armor with highlighted by strips of white that covered their entire body and their eyes glowed crimson red. As Raizen stood there clueless, the Team knew who it was.

Robin found his voice and said "Batman…is that…"

Batman nodded and said "It is. It's Darkseid. He is on his way to Earth and he will destroy it."

As everyone gasped in horror, Raizen slams his fists together and asked "So what's the plan?"

Batman replied "As of right now, we are in Omega-level threat. And since Darkseid will bring his forces, we need all the help we can get. That is why the Justice League and the Team will work together to stop Darkseid."

"A team-up?" Aqualad asked, "It's really that bad, huh?"

Batman nodded once again and said "The Team will head up to the Watchtower and will be assigned to a League member."

As the Team nodded, they all made their way to the Zeta tube. But before they got there, Batman said "Not you, Raizen. We have a special assignment for you."

Raizen looks at him and asked "What will that be?"

"Yeah?" Rocket asked, "Why can't he come?"

Superman replied "Darkseid is far stronger than you all think. My strength alone can barely beat him the last time he invaded Earth. And we had help from Orion and New Genesis. But now that New Genesis has fallen…"

"Then it would just be you by yourself," Raizen said, "But what does that have to do with me?"

Superman replied "My strength alone cannot help me win against Darkseid, which is why I need backup to defeat him. And since you proved yourself by defeating my other self from that other universe…"

"Holy crap," Kid Flash said, "Is he going to say what I think he is going to say?"

Raizen caught on and said "You want me to help you fight against Darkseid?"

Superman nodded and said "Will you help me?"

Raizen nodded and replied "Of course I will. I'll be by your side to defeat this destroyer."

"Dude!" Kid Flash cried, "Raisin Bran is going to fight alongside with Superman! A Saiyan and a Kryptonian taking on Darkseid, it will be a slaughter for him!"

"That's enough," Batman said, "You all have your assignments, let's move out."

When the Team, except for Donna, went through the Zeta Tube, Donna walks up to Raizen and asked "Are you going to be fine?"

Raizen nodded and replied "Don't worry about me. Me and Superman will defeat Darkseid before he conquers this world. Just be safe, okay?"

As Donna nodded, the two of them shared one last kiss before Donna entered the Zeta Tube. Raizen looks at Superman and Batman and asked "So…where do we go from here?"

Batman replied "I will head back to the Watchtower and set up the defenses. You and Superman head to Metropolis. Knowing Darksied, that is where he will expect Superman."

As Raizen nodded, Batman went through the Zeta Tube and headed to the Watchtower. Superman then said "Come on, let's head to Metropolis and wait for Darkseid."

When Raizen nodded, he and Superman left Mount Justice and flew to Metropolis. On their way, superman looks over at Raizen and asked "By the way, since when did you and Wonder Girl become a couple?"

Apokolips…

Darkseid was sitting in his throne waiting for his forces to be ready. Ever since Darkseid attacked New Genesis to test his new-found powers, he spared them instead of destroying the planet so that Orion can warn Superman of his invasion. Darkseid smirked as he will finally kill Superman and destroy Earth. After all these years, Darkseid will be the one who will stand victorious.

And that is it! For the Saiyan history, I have changed it a little bit, but I will explain more later on in the story. The moment has come for Raizen to face one of the deadliest villain in DC comics: Darkseid! Who will stand victorious? Find out! Next time: Saiyan and Kryptonian vs. Darkseid!
