The next day, Ira woke up when she heard the door to the bathroom close. She moaned and rubbed her eyes as she started to slowly realize what day it was and where she was.

The bathroom was obviously not available so she decided to make coffee. She heard the water stop and realized he finished showering. She glanced between the cups and the coffee.

"Should I pour him one?" She wondered out loud. She bit her lip and rubbed her stomach. She really wanted to take a shower after what happened yesterday.

Right, now that she remembered that, she started to feel a bit guilty. She might have overreacted because she tried too much for the past years to change. In the end, she finished one university only to decide to hide for a while in the place where not even the devil would enter.

"Herbivore," She blinked quickly before she glanced to the side. Hibari was pouring coffee in his cup. His hair was wet and messy and he looked tired. He noticed the way she was staring at him and raised an eyebrow. "The winter break is coming. You have a schedule and I expect you to do your work."

"But don't students leave for the break?" He looked at her from the corner of his eye. "What work if there's no one in here?"

"Do your work and stop complaining." He said and left. She watched him walk into his room and lock the door. She leaned against the cabinet and sighed.

She wanted to drink her coffee in silence. Hibari left some files on the couch the night before and she was sure they were for her. She took one and looked through it. It was mostly about the students and their grades. Also, there was something about the accounts of every student and the money they pay every year. It seemed that something wasn't adding up lately. She bit the inside of her cheek and glanced at his door. That was his work and he was pushing it onto her.

She placed the cup down and got ready mentally. However, she didn't have the chance to sit and start because someone knocked urgently on the door. She opened it widely only to see an interesting sight. Tomo was standing aside while Yuu and Shou were pushing each other.

"What's going on?" That surprised the two students because they stopped instantly. Shou pushed Yuu towards her and narrowed his eyes at him.

"Yes. Right. Well, we came because we-um" He wasn't used to apologize. He started to rub the back of his head and leaned on one leg. "We're sorry that we talked behind your back about, well, you. And we don't want to leave for the break on bad terms. You're crazily strong for a girl." Shou hit the redhead as soon as the message went down.

She stared at them for a few seconds. She scanned their postures and expressions and decided to accept their lame apology.

"Fine." Their eyes widened. "I accept your apology. I might have exaggerated too. You don't have to worry about it"

"So, what about the rumor then?" She raised an eyebrow and leaned against the door frame. "They say you are in a mafia clan from Europe"

"What if I am?" They definitely didn't expect that kind of answer. Yuu froze while Shou and Tomo seemed freaked out.

"You-you are?" Shou asked and took a few steps closer. She stared at them blankly but she couldn't play stupid for long. She started to laugh and shook her head disapprovingly.

"You guys are too much. You want that rumor to be true but if it is, you freak out." Yuu scanned her silently. "I am not part of the European mafia. I assure you." She seemed to genuinely believe what she was saying.

"So you are not?" Shou asked warily. She nodded.

"You can go on and deny that rumor. I am not involved into mafia business." She stated firmly. Tomo and Shou nodded and left. Yuu remained. "What?"

"You're lying." He suddenly said. She raised an eyebrow and smirked.

"What part is a lie and what part is truth?" Yuu chuckled and grabbed a hand through his hair.

"You are such a sly person. You may not be in the mafia but you have connections to it." She shrugged innocently. He took a step forward and leaned in. "I'm not leaving for the winter break" He whispered.

"Should I watch my back then?" She was taunting him. Her eyes were shining with some kind of malice.

"Please do." He answered. Surprisingly, he kissed her cheek. He left quickly after that. She shook her head and closed the door.

When she turned around she faced the headmaster. He didn't look happy at all.

"Get to work." He took care to emphasis every word. She sighed and jumped on the couch. She grabbed the file she recently read and started to work on it. It was going to be a long day.

"Have you thought what you are going to do for this winter break?"

That was the one hundred millions question. She didn't feel like going home but she didn't want to spend the next month with Hibari.

"I have no idea." She responded.

For the past week, Hibari covered her with files and documents. The secretary left for the break and she was hoping he would too. That wasn't the case. Coincidentally, she got a phone call from a friend she hasn't seen in a very long time.

"Do you want to come over? Everyone will gather here for Christmas." Her eyes moved on her phone. She turned it on speaker and placed it on her desk. She didn't want to lose it through papers.

"Even Reborn?" She asked softly. The boy on the other side chuckled.

"Even Reborn." She gulped. "He misses you, in his own way." He added quickly, to make her feel better.

"He misses beating me up, you mean." He didn't take his defense –which only meant she was right. "How is university treating you?" She decided to change the subject.

"Good. Now, are you coming next week? Everyone should be here by Monday." She hummed and leaned back. She closed her eyes and took a deep breath before she gave her answer.

"Fine. I'll be there Monday." Someone on the other line seemed very excited of the news. It wasn't hard to figure who, though. "See you in Namimori!" The boy agreed and hung up. She fell on her back on the bed and stared at the ceiling. Saying she wasn't excited to see them was a lie; she couldn't wait. It's been more than four years since she last saw them; the Vongola family.
