Chapter 9

I woke up to see Bruce without his suit on. 'He must've went home and changed.' I thought as he woke up. "Good morning." He smiled and kissed me. "Batman must've left." I laughed. Bruce smiled, "Yeah, he said watching you sleep gets too boring." He joked. "Hey! He could've slept too." I said. He nodded, "The suit is very uncomfortable for him to sleep in." He said. "I could've slept in the suit." I said. He shook his head, "No, I don't think you could." He objected. I stared at him, "Is that a challenge?" I asked. Bruce laughed, "No, I'm pretty sure you could."

Dr. Macintosh came in and announced that my twins were ready to go home. Bruce and I got out of bed and Dr. Macintosh led us to Gwyneth and Rosalyn. They were swaddled in pink blankets, and had pink and yellow onesies on. I held Gwyneth, while Bruce held Rosalyn. Alfred drove us home, "Gwyneth and Rosalyn are pretty, Miss Shawl." He complimented. "Thank you." I smiled and looked at Gwyneth. "Now we have to make arrangements in the manor."

"Already taken care of, Master Wayne." Alfred said. "Oh, thank you Alfred." I thanked. He nodded and parked in the driveway. "Now, if you'll follow me, I'll show you the babies' rooms." He said and we followed him to a navy blue-colored walls with two white cribs. "This is beautiful, Alfred. You did wonderful, didn't he Bruce?" I asked. Bruce nodded, "He sure did, now let's go feed them; I'm sure they're hungry." He said as we headed to the kitchen. We fixed up the bottles and fed them. "We should talk about wedding plans, I'm sure you don't want to call up any of your relatives." He said.

"Actually, there's this one family member of vampires that I consider family, I'll call them." I said. He nodded, "Don't forget friends, either. I don't have much family left." Though, I consider Alfred part of my family." He said. I nodded, "We're a growing family, before you know it we'll be grandparents." I said. "Grandparents that are young." Bruce laughed. I laughed too, "Yeah, people will be looking at us strangely, but that doesn't matter."

"If it gets to that, we could always move." Bruce said. "You would move from this manor?" I asked. He nodded, "I don't want people looking at you funny." He said. I smiled, "That's sweet of you. But I get looked at funny all the time, it doesn't affect me." I said. He nodded, "Do you know when you're going back to work?" He asked. "Dr. Macintosh said I have to go back the fourth of May. That's two weeks from now." I said. We went back to the babies' room and put them in their cribs.

"Two weeks to help the babies, and two weeks to get people invited." Bruce said. "What about where the wedding's going to take place, and who's catering?"' I asked. "Alfred, you, and I are going to prepare food, and we'll have the wedding at my church." He said. I nodded, "Okay, sounds good." I smiled and we headed to our room to go to bed.

"If one of the girls cries, I say you're the first to take care of her." Bruce said. I laughed, "That's not fair! You should do it." I said and kissed him goodnight. I fell asleep in a matter of seconds. I dreamt good dreams and I hoped that Bruce was having good dreams as well.
