"Finally were home." Matt said unlocking the doors of their home. After the wedding festivities Lauren and her family decided to extend their trip in New York.

When they entered they looked around and realized that the place was the same as when they left. This only meant one thing, Amy hadn't been there.

"She's not here." Matt stated. They were all counting on it. Lauren was almost sure she'd find her here. All of them gave her the space she needed, although Farrah called her daily even though she knew she'd get her daughter's voicemail.

"Mimi?" Emma called out for her aunt as she searched the house for any sign of her.

After finishing unpacking Lauren grabbed her car keys. "Bring her back home." Matt said to his wife smiling and she nodded in return.

Lauren had a hunch about her sister's whereabouts and she decided to follow it. She drove to Amy's house and recognized Amy's SUV was in the driveway.

Lauren parked and made her way to the entrance. Since they didn't have anyone else other than themselves Lauren had a key set for Amy's house; she'd never knew when it would come in handy.

Lauren opened the door unsure of what she'd find. Amy's keys were on the floor. The place looked like no one was there. Lauren checked the upstairs first, still no sign of her sister. She lowered the stairs once again, the last room she hadn't checked was the family.

That's when she saw her. There she was, Amy Raudenfeld, laying there with a bunch of empty whiskey bottles.

"Well looks like someone's having a party." Lauren spoke approaching Amy.

Amy looked at her. "Here, help yourself." She said handing Lauren the last bottle she had with liquid on it.

"No thanks. I'm good." Lauren took the bottled and set it aside.

Lauren stayed quiet as she studied her sister's state. Amy had bag under her eyes, and they were red as if she had been crying. It looked like she hadn't slept in days. She was pretty sure Amy hadn't showered or even moved from this room at all.

"Come, I think you've had enough." Lauren held her hand waiting for Amy to grab it. As Amy began to stand up, she realized she couldn't walk by herself. Lauren took hold of her and led her upstairs.

The pair reached the bathroom and Lauren began to undress Amy. Once she finished Lauren walked her into the shower.

"Hey, no peeking." Amy slurred. She was way too drunk to register what was happening.

"Oh please Amy. It's not like haven't done this before." Lauren scoffed. This was not the first time they've done this. The most recent time had been the day after Amy's graduation from med school.

After she finished she put her sister to bed. Lauren picked up her phone and dialed a number.

The other end picked up. "Did you find her?" Matt asked.

"I did." She responded, "She was pretty drunk when I found her."

"Where did you find her?" He questioned.

"In her house. It looked she didn't go out since she got here. I gave her a shower and put her to sleep." Lauren informed her husband. "I was thinking of spending the night, I want to make sure she wakes up okay."

"Of course honey. Let me know if you need me to bring you anything." Matt offered. He wanted Amy's well-being just as much as Lauren.

"Thanks sweetheart, love you." Lauren hung up and proceeded to tidy up the place.

Next morning, the sun made its presence causing Amy to wake up. Her head was at the verge of exploding. She didn't remember how she got to her bed, but right now that was the least of her worries. She went downstairs and her nose picked up a scent which indicated breakfast was being made. Amy approached the kitchen and was greeted by her sister.

"Well good morning." Lauren chimed as she was giving the meal a few finishing touches.

"When did you get here?" Amy said taking a seat.

"Yesterday, around 4." Lauren answered handing Amy two aspirins with glass of water, then she placed a plate of food in front of her. "Eat up." Amy gave her a look like she was being obligated to eat.

"Don't give me that look. When was the last time you've eaten?" Lauren scolded.

"Okay. Fine. You win." Amy took the utensils and began eating. "See. I'm eating."

"That's more like it." Lauren shot back.

"How's Emma?" Amy asked changing the subject.

"Okay. She's been asking for you." Lauren replied.

Amy smiled at the response. She missed her niece too. "Have you told mom you're here with me?"

"No, just Matt. I wanted to make sure you were okay first." The shorter blonde explained. "So are you?" Lauren said referring to the previous question.

"I was in a sort of denial about the whole thing, but seeing her in her wedding dress made it real. Plus, the fact that I poured my heart to her and she still chose him made me realize she loves him more than she ever loved me." Amy replied calmed. She always thought Karma and her would get married to each other.

Lauren could tell Amy was still very much hurt because of what had happened. The guilt was catching up to her. "She loves you. Never doubt that Amy."

"Funny way of showing it." Amy scoffed. Her mind played back at the scene where Amy begged Karma to not go through with the wedding. Then, it went further back to the last time they were together when Lauren's accident happened. Amy's eyes began to water; something she had been trying to avoid to do in front of Lauren.

Lauren saw Amy's eyes and the heartbreak behind them. Her conscience was killing her with the guilt she felt. She never could stand the sight of seeing her sister cry. Lauren pulled her sister for an embrace.

Amy pulled away after a while. "It's okay Lauren. I'm fine."

"It's not that." Lauren said keeping her head down. "I need to tell you something. Something that if Karma knew I was telling you she'd kill me." Lauren said seriously.

Amy furrowed her eyebrows. "What is it?"

Lauren debated if she should tell Amy everything she knew. "You are the reason Karma married Liam." She said barely audible.

"What?" If Amy felt lost before, now she was mind blown.

Lauren sat down in the stool next to her. "Couple of years ago Liam went to see Karma basically to force her into marrying him. At first Karma rejected the offer obviously, but he told her that if she didn't do it he would hurt you." The blonde finished and was awaiting the response.

"Don't tell me she believed him?" Amy questioned incredulously.

"Do you remember your accident?" Lauren asked and Amy nodded. "It was not accident. Liam caused it. He said it was to teach Karma a lesson." Lauren revealed. "That's why Karma left back them. It's why she left right after you guys spent the night together."

Amy's face was flushed with confusion, shock, numbness; every emotion possible ran through her. She always suspected something was going on, that there had to be a reason on why Karma walked out on her without an explanation. "Wait?" It all clicked. "How long have you known this?"

Lauren's eyes dropped. It was the question she knew Amy would ask and she was going to hate answer. "Karma stopped by the hospital before she left."

Amy rose from her chair. "And you couldn't tell me?" Amy raised her voice. How could Lauren keep this from her?

"Amy I'm sorry I wanted to tell the second I found out." Lauren pleaded she already felt bad as it is.

"But you didn't Lauren!" Amy interjected. "How could you keep something like this from me?"

"The minute Karma told me she was so scared because she had told someone and I was terrified for you and I couldn't risk you getting hurt." Lauren tried to justify her reasons. Amy hadn't reacted to any of them.

"You should leave." Amy broke the silence. Lauren could hear the hurt in her sister's voice. Lauren's mouth wanted to speak but nothing would come out. She saw Amy head for the stairs, leaving no choice for Lauren but to grant Amy's wish and exit.
