Wednesday Evening

Bay Bridge, Jump City

The sun had just begun to drop below the horizon, casting dark shadows throughout the city. The light breeze of winter rolled in with the waves from the ocean beyond the Bay Bridge. A beautiful piece of architecture that witnessed many tragic accidents throughout its history and would no doubt be a part of many more to come.

A girl stood at the center of that bridge. She appeared lost in thought and ignored the sounds of humanity passing her. She was mid-built with dark brown hair, navy eyes, and pale skin that seemed to glow under the evening winter's sun. A deep sigh escaped her painted-red lips as she watched the ripples of water thousands of feet below her. The water crashed against the rugged boulders over and over. The sounds of the water masked the roars of cars as they sped past. A faint shadow of that strong tower lingered in the water as a reminder of hope. But was that hope enough? The girl had spent the better part of the last six months tracking the Titans and had not crossed paths with them. If anyone could save her, it would be them. "It's not like I have another choice…" the girl spoke into the evening air with another heavy sigh as her shoulders sagged with defeat. "I don't know how…but one day." She stated with a ring of determination in her voice as the breeze blew her hair across her face, covering the right side of it as her eyebrows knitted together.

The girl suddenly shook her head with disbelief and scoffed with a roll of her navy eyes. "As if that will ever happen…" she whispered into the air as she pushed her hands against the cool metal of the bridge. "You're a nobody." She chanted to herself as if it were normal; before turning away from the bay to head into the city.

TT

Rush hour had ended sometime during her pity party. The bridge was now mostly empty of all traffic. She stuffed her hands into the pockets of her black jeans as another sigh escaped her lips. "Better get moving if I want to see the sunset..." the girl mumbled as she glanced out at the bay once more and set out for downtown. As she neared downtown Jump City, the sounds of citizens dulled out the noise of the despair she felt. The girl was envious of their blissful ignorance of the dangers lingering within the city. If only they knew of the darkness that shadowed it. All that they knew was that the Teen Titans would defend them and that was enough to create a blanket safety…to live without fear. With all of the time she had spent here, she was always blown away by this city's everlasting beauty despite that looming darkness. It was a reminder of where she had been and where she could go. But was she strong enough to survive?

She took her time walking, enjoying the cool air of winter against her pale face. The sun slowly sank further and the golden glow cascading over the office buildings downtown. "Almost there..." the girl mumbled as she slipped down a darkened alley and leaped into the air to grab hold of the fire escape. "I'm sure they won't mind..." she laughed aloud as she trapezed her way up the side of the building. The sound of her combat boots on the metal echoed. "Ugh..." she groaned as she planted her hands on the cement barrier and hoisted herself over it. She huffed with satisfaction as she dusted her hands off and hummed as she took in the lifeless botanical garden before her. In the center, a mighty fountain stood with a statue of a previous mayor that had left his mark on the city with dead shrubs and flowers surrounding it. It was a sight to behold and offered her a moment of peace.

The girl sighed as she crossed the polished pavement to sit on a stone bench not far from the edge of the building, snuggling her arms into her black sweater for warmth. From here, she could see the city for miles and the best view of the sunset. The quiet this place offered was unique. It could make anyone forget their darkest secrets.

Titans Tower

As evening settled over the city, our heroes were grateful for a day without crime. Those days came so scarcely these days. It had been nearly three years since they had returned from Tokyo. Since then, they have been much of the same.

Where love was once fierce was now but a dull flame. Robin and Starfire had decided early on in their relationship that it would be best to remain friends. Robin couldn't bring himself to be more than the hero he had promised to be. Over the past three years, Robin worked hard to save the city and train for the next fight. He didn't have time to give Starfire the love that she deserved. That's why Robin had to let her go. She deserved to be happy, even if that didn't include him. Starfire loved Robin enough to let him be the man he needed to be. It hurt early on that he was willing to allow his work to take over his life. She also understood that was who he was. Starfire moved on the best way she knew how. She often spent time learning more about Earthly customs and defining her powers.

Beast Boy was the same quirky boy or now young man. It's funny how time can do so much for someone. Though, Terra occasionally haunted the dark corners of his mind. He had finally moved on with his life. He could still find the lighthearted joke in the middle of intense battles and enjoyed veggie dogs. When he wasn't lazing around the tower, he often spent time learning additional combat techniques from the boy wonder. If only he could convince Cyborg to let him learn to drive the T-Car. Cyborg spent much of his time keeping up with the latest technology and improving his knowledge of general medicine. The medical knowledge coming quite in handy as the criminals became more dangerous and his friends receiving the occasional injury. The T-Car still remains as his most prized possession, often spending time in the garage to fine tune it. Who wouldn't want a million horsepower…right?

Raven...is Raven. The darkness of her powers still loomed over her like a rainy day. She spent many hours alone meditating and reading legends. It's remarkable how the team could remain much of the same, with so much time disappearing. The Teen Titans were the same. But...could things change? If there was one thing that the Titans were certain of after all of these years…it was that they were always placed where they were needed most by the threads of fate. Today, however, was no different for our heroes.

TT

"Let's get pizza!" Cyborg loud voice boomed with excitement, adding in his request for a late dinner. His teal eye eagerly scanned the room for approval from his teammates, no... friends. It was strange how fate had brought them together in their darkest moments. They had been through the unthinkable and probably would go through it again. Now, he couldn't imagine his life any other way than fighting crime with them. The Titans were a pillar of hope, after all.

With no signs of a protest, the Titans trickled their way down the tower to the garage. "Shotgun!" Beast Boy declared as he morphed into a cheetah with a playful cat call echoing throughout the corridor he raced down. The cheetah roared with triumph as he neared the front door of the T-Car. A shield of black magic swooped into the air from nowhere. From the speed and surprise, Beast Boy bumped into the blockade and bounced backward, morphing in the fall and landing on his behind. "Hey!" he whined with a wave of his hand and kicked his foot in the air. "That's not fair!" he screamed childishly. The black shield fanned it's wings out just as Raven stepped out of the black void with a smirk on her face and opened the front door. "I got here first." She declared with a shrug and climbed into the front seat. The metal door clicking closed behind her as BB whined again as he stood to his feet and dusted himself off. "I got here first…" he mumbled under his breath as he opened the back door and climbed in to join Starfire. Cyborg chuckled at his friends and rolled his eyes, "Let's go! If y'all would quit playin' around, we could've had dinner by now! I'm starvin'!" he told them as he swung open the driver's door and got in, the T-Car immediately roaring with life at the touch of a button. Cyborg quirked a brow with curiosity as a shadow walked past his fiber optic eye. The cybernetic snapping his head to the side in time to see Robin move away from the car with a flick of his cape. "Aye, man! You comin'?" he called out to the leader as the power window rolled down and hung his arm out the side with a wave of his hand to catch Robin's attention.

TT

The leader audibly sighed with a roll of his eyes as he followed behind his friends into the garage. They were always so cheery and brought light wherever they went. He chuckled to himself as Beast Boy mumbled about losing the front seat. Robin puffed out a breath of air as he turned away from his friends, feeling the sudden urge to be alone. The quiet flick of his cape fluttering behind him as he stepped up to the stark red motorcycle and running a hand over the seat. The sound of Cyborg's voice echoing through his ears. "Yeah, I'll follow," he said autonomously before collecting his helmet in his hands and tugging it over his black hair.

The cybernetic man snorted with a roll of his eyes. "Fine bird brain…suit yourself. Race ya!" Cyborg spat with a grin on his face as he revved the engine of the car with a pump of the gas pedal, and tore out of the garage with a quick shift of the gears. The T-Car lurched forward with a squeal of the tires and into the underground tunnels that would lead them into the city just as the door opened. The bright red taillights streaking behind and leaving Robin alone in the garage.

Robin merely shook his head at the playful challenge. It was surprising to him he had been here so long. He had originally come to Jump City to work on cases alone. But somehow, he had been fated to meet his friends all those years ago. Time showed him that no matter how much he thought he didn't need more in life, he did. The leader sighed again as he threw a leg over his bike to mount and nestled into the seat. A playful smirk suddenly broke across his stern face as he turned the handles on his bike, the engine rumbling to life that echoed through the metal walls of the garage. "As if he can beat me…" he chuckled to himself as he tore off into the tunnel after the T-Car with a loud screech of the tires. The red lights streaking behind him as he drove into the strings of fate…

TT

After a playful game of cat and mouse between the T-Car and R-Cycle throughout the streets of downtown Jump City, the Titans rolled into metered parking spaces on Main Street just as the sun disappeared beyond the horizon. The team eagerly piled into their favorite pizza joint directly in the center of the city. Protests and whines from each one of our heroes as they debated the type of pizzas they would order. Finally, settling on a few cheeses and deluxe pizzas to please everyone. They sat down for dinner at one of their favorite tables on the rooftop patio despite the cool temperature and talked about their day.

As Starfire finished her last bite of mustard-covered pizza, a light breeze pushed her velvet red hair over her shoulder. A strange sensation of danger hung in the air and made her breath catch in her throat as she turned her head to observe the streets beyond. Raven felt the impending danger wash over her like ice water and turned her head in the same direction. Robin chuckled as he finished his slice of pizza and shook his head at BB's lame joke. "Huh…" he mumbled as he caught sight of the girl's sudden head-turning to observe Main Street. The leader breathed out with furrowed brows as he turned his attention to where their gazes looked for the unknown. "What is it?" his voice rang out over the sudden quiet of the winter evening.

"I'm not sure", Raven said as she slowly turned her head back to face the team. Starfire's green orbs never leaving the streets beyond. "Should…" Robin began to speak just as the ground began to rumble. The tables around them shook, the umbrellas toppling from them with a loud clatter, and car alarms began to ring in the distance. The shouts and screams of citizens in the streets screaming for help and declaring the disturbance as an earthquake. The Titans were immediately on their feet and jumping over the rails of the balcony into the city below. The question of what was happening was quickly answered as a once-familiar face turned the corner about ten blocks from their position. Johnny Rancid, the metal head that was known to be obsessed with his large... mechanical pets. This time was no different, they were faced with a rather large mechanical creature with a strange power source coursing through it as Johnny drove beside it on his motorcycle. The metal head sporting his usual black and red greasy hair, black tank top with a match leather jacket, and biker jeans with rusted chains hanging in the wind as he drove on his 'sweet ride'. "Yahoooo!" he screamed with triumph as the wheels screeched below him, the mechanical pet stomping slowly and creating chaos as people ran for their lives. "Meet my new toy…Titans!" Rancid yelled into the wind as the pet stomped down once again, rattling the ground and shattering the asphalt beneath it.

"Oh boy, Rancid just had to ruin a peaceful dinner man!" Cyborg said through a snort as his right arm transformed into his sonic cannon and glancing to the leader as he stepped forward. "Look at the size of that thing…" Beast Boy whistled in awe as his eyebrows rose, his green eyes scanning the clunky creature. The strong smell of electricity burning at his nostrils. "The bigger they are…the harder they fall…" Robin said with a roll of his eyes as he squared his shoulders and glanced to his friends as the mechanical pet shot a burst of light energy from its mouth, instantly melting a car at its feet. "Since when can they do that!?" Beast Boy screeched in disbelief with wide green eyes and took an instinctive step back. "Only one way to find out…" Raven voiced as she adjusted her hood over head and levitated into the air and her violet orbs glazing over blazing white of her dark power. "Titan's GO!" Robin's voice rang out with his signature battle cry. The team dispersed forward, ready to defend the city as they've done so many times before.

Robin stumbled to his bike with uneasy feet as the Earth shook beneath him. "Ugh!" he groaned as he fumbled with his helmet and tugged it over his head as he climbed onto his bike and quickly took off to meet Johnny racing towards them. "Rancid…it's the end of the road!" he screamed out into the cold wind, Rancid's hearty laugh filling Robin's chest with rage. "As if birdy!" the biker screeched as he reeved the engine of his bike, with the twist of the handles and a small mechanism sprouting out of the mirrors to send an array of laser shots in Robin's direction. The boy wonder snorted under his breath as he weaved in and out of the poorly aimed lasers. The leader grinned as he reached into his utility belt as he drove and threw out a couple of bird-a-rangs to distract Rancid's driving. Rancid moved around them with ease on his motorcycle too. "I think my new friend has something you should hear…" Rancid taunted as a smirk crossed his gray face, his brows furrowing with excitement as he tapped a button on the console of his bike. The mechanical pet groaned out as its chest glew bright white and tilted it's head downward as it screeched so loud as if in agony, the vibration of the sound shattering glass and creating debris in its path down the street. The force of air becoming too strong for some of our heroes, blowing back Beast Boy's attempt to get close as a hawk. The fight was on for our young heroes.

TT

In the middle of the city, the young girl breathed in the evening air of the peaceful atmosphere. "I guess I should get out of here…" she mumbled through a yawn, stretching her arms high above her head and groaning when her back finally cracked. Just as she stood, the ground began to shake beneath her worn combat boots. The water in the fountain began slushing back and forth, spilling over the dry pavement. The girl's eyes widened with fear as she stumbled her way to the edge of the building just as the mechanical pet rang out its screech. The building rumbled and whined from the force of the wind, her brown hair whipping behind her shoulders. Instinctively, she raised her arms in front of her face as the air pushed her back on her heels a few feet, and dust enveloped her face from the residue. The girl coughed loudly into her arms and waved them to disperse the dust from her vision. "What was that?!" she hissed under her breath as she ducked low and crept to the edge of the building to peek over the side. The girl's eyes widened at the rather large mechanical pet just a story below her. "Holy shit…" she spoke as her eyebrows rose, something moving on the ground caught her eye. She quickly snapped her head and let her eyes focus, gasping in awe as she realized what she was witnessing first hand. It was them. The Teen Titans. Her heart skipped a beat as she admired their grace and efforts to protect the city. Suddenly, an explosion rang out from somewhere across the street at ground level. Bright lights and powerful rings of hot energy waved over the area as Dr. Light emerged from the debris with some new toys and appeared to be the power source of this new mechanical creature that threatened to melt anything in its path.

From the sky view, Robin had already pummeled Rancid to the ground and Dr. Light was making his move knowing Rancid was a waste of his newfound energy. Dr. Light chuckled menacingly as he blasted his energy beams from the palms of his suit toward the Titans. "I thought I would join the fight, Titans!" he chuckled as he threw out a palm and blasted balls of hot energy relentlessly. All Titans blocked and dodged the attacks with ease, except for Starfire. She missed a beat as she moved in and out of his beams, "Ahh!" she screamed as one of the balls of energy collided with her body and sent her flying through the cool air and crashing into the statue atop the very building where this young girl stood.

TT

The girl gasped in horror as she watched Dr. Light hit his target in the sky. Instinctively, the brunette clasped her hands over her mouth with wide eyes. "Starfire!" she called out, her hands leaving her mouth as she watched the hero soar over her head from the blast and crashed down on the statue. The water and cement splintered under the force of the hero's crash landing. The building rumbling from the force and shaking under her feet. "Holy…" the girl muttered under her breath as she stood tall and ran to the Titan's side. Starfire groaned as she rolled her head back and forth, fluttering her eyes open just in time to see this girl leaning over her. "Are you okay?!" the girl exclaimed as she knelt at Starfire's side. She sucked in a sharp breath at the sight of a severe burn to Starfire's abdomen. "Wait!" she said as she gently placed a hand on Starfire's shoulder as she moved to sit up. "Thank You, I am the okay." Starfire stated as she gained her bearings and pushed herself up onto her feet despite the girl's protest. The girl stared up at this strong woman in awe. Though, this young girl was average height…the Titan towered over her by a few inches. Starfire smiled and reached out her hand to help the girl to her feet. The cool breeze blew her red hair dramatically and her emerald eyes screamed kindness. The girl gulped back the lump in her throat as she scrambled to her feet. "Stay here, I shall protect you," Starfire exclaimed with power in her voice and squared her shoulders proudly. The girl could only nod in understanding much to Starfire's satisfaction. The hero smiled as she turned away from her and leaped into a speedy flight to return to the fight.

Dr. Light blasted his way from the onslaught of Titans, forming his energy into powerful beams to lift him into the air to look for the prey he had just injured as the Titan's dealt with the raging mechanical pet in his place. Starfire gasped as Light came over the side of the building. "There you are little Starfire…" he sneered with a grin on his face as he stepped down and hurled another beam of energy toward the injured Titan. "Stay behind me…" Starfire commanded as the girl raced forward to join her side, throwing out a strong arm to block the girl from harm's way. The young girl huffed in disbelief as she skidded to a stop and glanced at the hero in the air. Starfire yelled out a battle cry as the beam of energy hurled across the air and moved in front of the civilian. "I am the right here!" she taunted Dr. Light as her hands lit up a bright green as did her eyes and lifted them in the air to deflect his attack. The wave of energy bounced off of her palms and blasted back at him. Light chuckled as he side-stepped the attack and stepped forward, his palms lighting up with hot energy again and unleashing a torrent storm of an attack. "Ha!" The Princess exclaimed as she began to relentlessly barrage Light with her starbolts to disrupt the energy he gave off to get closer to him. With some new technology in his suit, he succeeded in moving in and out of the starbolts much to her dismay. Light blasted another ball of energy as she got near and successfully hit her out of the air. "Oof…" the hero cried out as the energy collided with her chest again and sent her crashing down to the cement again. "Twinkle twinkle…little Star…" Light taunted as he walked forward with ready palms of energy. Starfire groaned with righteous fury as she rose to her feet again, her strong hands closing around Light's energized palms. The power of his suit and her green starbolts sparked with the clash. "How I wonder what you are." Light chuckled as he gripped her glowing hands in his and embraced the power in his suit to overpower her. Starfire gasped as Light unleashed a wave of hot energy into her palms and blasted her. "Ah!" she screamed as the energy burned her skin and sent her flying through the air across the roof like a ragdoll.

The girl watched in awe as Starfire took Dr. Light head-on without a second thought. Her senses running on high alert as she watched their energy battle, her power begging to step in and help the hero. She gasped as the two clashed in hand-to-hand combat, her navy eyes widening with shock as Light blasted the hero away. She knew then that she had to do something, even if it meant revealing her presence in the city. The brunette grit her teeth together and let her nostrils flare, her hands balling into fists at her sides as her navy eyes glazed over in flaming red flames and gasping at the sight of the hero flying through the air. "Starfire!" she exclaimed with worry as she launched into the air with flight and caught the dazed hero in her arms, the two floating suspended in the air. "Ugh!" Starfire groaned as her body clashed against another body, her eyes fluttering open to catch sight of the young girl. "Huh?" She lifted her red brows with surprise as the girl offered her a smile. "I thought you could use a hand. Hope it's okay I butt in?" she asked with a raised brow as she lowered them to the ground. Starfire groaned as the girl sat her down on the pavement. "Like a diamond in the sky…" Light taunted as he walked forward slowly with another beam of energy charging in his palms. The girl huffed, letting a growl out between her red lips as she whirled around on her combat boots. "Hey!" she exclaimed as she stepped forward, "Leave her alone!" she cried, her eyes glowing a brighter red with flames. The girl snarled again as the power coursing through her veins ran hot and blowing her hair with the breeze. "How do you like your toast?" she taunted with a grin on her face and tilted her head slightly to the side. Dr. Light roared with anger as he planted his feet and shot out another blast from his palms. The girl snarled again as she jumped into the air with flight once again. Her fists now glowing the same bright flames as her eyes, flinging out a torrent of flames to disrupt Light's attack. "Didn't anyone ever tell you not to put your toaster in water?" she taunted him again as the water from the fountain rose in the air seemingly on its own, the girl's glowing hands rose in the air and pushing the water forward to wash over Light and short-circuiting his suit. Dr. Light gasped with wide eyes as he lowered his arms, taking a few steps back. But the new hero was too fast. "Lights out, dickhead." She snarled as she forced her arms downward to bring the wave of water over the foe. "Ahhhhh!" Light screamed in agony as his suit lit up like a fried Christmas tree and collapsed to the ground to wither in pain as his plan was foiled with a little bit of water.

TT

Starfire groaned through the pain of her burns as she shifted on the cement in an attempt to get up. Her green eyes wide with amazement of this unknown girl stepping in to protect her. The brunette squared her shoulders with triumph, but quickly dropped her hands to her side and let her power dissipate at the sound of Starfire's discomfort. "Starfire!" the girl said hurriedly as she turned on her heel and immediately rushed to the hero's side again. "Hey…hey! Are you okay?" she asked with concern as she knelt to the heroes side, flashing her a concerned smile and quirked a brow. "Yes…" Starfire said, the words coming out full of air as she caught her breath and grunted as she placed a hand to her abdomen.

The other Titans quickly caught up from their battle in the streets and began spilling over the rooftop, running for Light and checking on their friend. "Starfire! Are you okay!" Robin's voice echoed in the newfound quiet, his eyes flickering between her and the girl beside her. Starfire gulped through the shock as she glanced at the girl beside her and back to Robin. "Yes..." she voiced again as she turned to the girl kneeling beside her. "Thank You!" Starfire exclaimed suddenly with a bright smile on her sun-kissed face and her strong arms enveloping the girl. The girl shyly returned the hero's hug, breathing in deep as Starfire released her. Robin's brows furrowed staring at the girl before them as Raven and Beast Boy joined the circle of concern. Robin stepped forward and offered his hand to Starfire, who happily accepted it and stood to her feet and seethed with pain from the burn on her side. "You're hurt." He quickly noted, his eyes dropping to where her hand moved in an attempt to hide the burns on his skin. The leader grunted as he moved a hand to Starfire's back in support and stepped closer to her in a protective way, though she politely waved her hand in the air and reluctantly rested her arm over his shoulders. "This is the nothing…I have been burned by the Schlaknarh's of Tamaran." She attempted to reason with the leader who rolled his eyes at her dismissive attitude toward the burns. The Princess beamed with happiness as her eyes turned back to the girl as she stood to her feet as well and dusted herself off. "Thank you for the saving me from Dr. Light…" she repeated. The leader quirked a brow with curiosity as he exchanged sideways glances with his team and finally settled his vision on the brunette as she shyly took one step away from the rest of the group. He found it odd, who was she? "Who are you?" he asked as Starfire shifted against his side and held the burn on her abdomen.

A hot blush crossed her cheeks under the sudden scrutiny of the Titans. She rose a brow as her navy eyes focused on Robin, her nose scrunching briefly before smiling. "I'm Destiny..." she said as she stepped forward again. "And…you're welcome. I guess I was in the right place at the right time for a change, too bad I didn't bring sunglasses," she said jokingly, earning a loud chuckle from Beast Boy as he stepped forward with a toothy grin on his face. "Good one! I'm Beast Boy!" he declared happily with a waggle of his pointed ears and pointed over his shoulders at his friends to name each one. Destiny shyly giggled into her palm as she nodded in understanding. "It's kind of hard not to know who you are." She mumbled under her breath, her eyes briefly scanning each of their faces as her heart pounded in her ears. The moment she had longed for all of these years, she was finally standing in front of the people that she admired most.

TT

Robin breathed out and stepped forward as Raven moved in to support Starfire's weight. The leader squared his shoulders as he cleared his throat, offering the girl the warmest smile she had ever seen. "I'm Robin...thank you for helping us apprehend Dr. Light," he said as he reached out his gloved hand to her. Destiny tilted her head as he stepped forward and reluctantly stretched her small hand forward and shook his. "I'm glad I could help." She said as her navy eyes tilted up to meet his mysterious gaze as the air around them shifted. The leader gulped as he stared down at her, noting the sparkle of her navy eyes and the touch of her hand in his. Despite the gloves on his hand, the presence of her hand in his sent vibrations through his senses. What was that feeling? She certainly didn't look familiar, but his instincts were screaming on high alert. Robin breathed out slowly as he stared in her eyes, as if the world around them suddenly didn't exist in the moment. "What were you doing up here?" Cyborg's voice echoed out to interrupt Robin's thoughts, who quickly let go of her palm and stepped away as Cyborg stepped forward to question the girl with concern. Destiny blinked through the intimate moment and stifled a laugh as she shrugged and turned her head to look over her shoulder at the destroyed area. "The same reason anyone else comes here…" she said as she raised her small hands in the air and allowed the power of her red flames to engulf them. "The beauty of it." Destiny declared as she turned her attention back to the Titans and the flames flickered over her eyes. The Titans exchanged long glances between them as they watched her powerful display and the building trembled beneath their feet. The team braced for the outcome but watched in awe as the garden slowly began to piece back together until the fountain and statue stood as it once was. "Whooooa! Duuude! That's amazing! We could use someone like you!" he whistled with awe as he stepped forward and admired the cleanup job. Destiny quietly cleared her throat as the power dissipated in her eyes and quirked a brow at the green teen. The team before her exchanged glances before Robin cleared his throat and stepped forward again to place a hand on her shoulder.

"I think what Beast Boy is trying to say…it would be nice to get to know another hero. It isn't often we come across other heroes." he said sternly through a straight face. Destiny's eyes lit up immediately and flickered to each face. "Really?" she asked in disbelief as Starfire giggled with excitement beside Raven and recoiled from the pain, bringing everyone's attention to her instead of the new hero. "We should get back to the tower," Robin commanded as he stepped away from Destiny to return to Starfire's side. Starfire huffed as she moved her arm over Robin's shoulders again. "Friend, you must come with us to the tower! I would very much like to get to know the person whom just saved my life!" she exclaimed with glee. Robin scrunched his face with distaste as Starfire shot him a look of pleading until he sighed with defeat and nodded his head. Beast Boy whooped with joy as he stepped back into the circle and gently patted his hand against Destiny's back. "If you stick around long enough…you might get to hear some of my jokes!" he exclaimed with excitement and chuckled. Raven groaned with a roll of her violet eyes. "You are the joke, Beast Boy." She spoke dryly as she turned on her heel to follow the others to prepare to drop over the side of the building. BB's mouth dropped open to protest but stopped as the sound of Destiny giggling beside him filled his ears. The girl sighed with contentment as she nudged him with her elbow. "Something tells me…she's just a tough crowd, huh?" she asked with a quirk of her dark brow. The two shared a laugh and followed after the others to return to the tower for the evening.
