Chapter 3

During the trip to the wood, Emma explains to Lucy why Ruby is with them. The short history is that red girl fights with her grandma; she resigned in the Granny's and now temporarily moved with them. Lucy feels sad for Mary Margaret, now the teacher has three women and a girl invading her house.

Maybe she needs loo king for a department.

"Why can she work for you and not me?" Lucy asks complaining while they walk in the wood. (Lucy lefts Syvonne in Granny's).

"Because Ruby doesn't have my blood"

Lucy makes a temper with her lips, but inside is happy with her words. My blood… no matter what, they'll always be sisters. She decides to show her happiness with a bear hug around her neck. She laughs to the blond' complains.

Both stop with their Love Swans Style game with Ruby's ordering stop. The sisters see how the red girl is looking around like she has woken up from a dream to live and now she doesn't know what is real and what fantasy is. Emma calls her, but Ruby's still in silent.

"I can hear him" Ruby finally talks and walks again.

"Hear him?" The Swan sisters are confused, but they doesn't doubt following her.

"David… he is here"

"And you can hear him?" Emma repeat without believe it.

"Sure. You don't?"

Lucy thinks in the Henry's book and the story about Red Riding Hood and how she is the bad wolf too. Ruby looks like Red in the book. Ruby is Red, Ruby is the bad wolf and she uses her superpower to finds David.

"Awesome" Says with radiance in her blue eyes.

Emma doesn't have time to ask her what she is talking about because they found David in the floor as Ruby said. He is unconscious and with blood in the head. Emma checks his pulse and she is glad he's still alive. Lucy is calling Emergency right now.

"Maybe you need listen more your son, Emma" Lucy says after hanging.

Davis is awakening before Emma has the opportunity to say something. He is growling in pain with any movement he makes. He looks confusing too. He cleans his face from the blood and now he can see the three women.

"Emma?"

"David, are you okay?"

"I… Ruby?" He notices the ex-waitress.

"Do you remember something?" The sheriff asks, trying to help him sit.

"I… I was in the station with you and… you brought me here?"

The three women are in shock.

"Are you saying you don't remember anything since last night?" Lucy asks without believing.

Hours later David is in the hospital with Emma and Lucy. Whale gives to the Swan sisters his medical analysis, saying the lost prince is out of danger and recommends goes to doctor Hopper. Then the doctor focuses in the young Lucy, trying to seduce her like a friend who can help her in knowing Storybrooke. Emma doesn't like his attitude, but doesn't say anything because she knows Lucy can careful herself.

"Thank you doctor for your nice words, but I really have my sister Emma." Her voice is sweetie, but it's something in the voice that makes Whale scares and acts like nothing is happening.

For one reason, Whale compares her in this moment with Gold. The both are intimidating.

"Thanks Emma and Lucy for finding me." Says David, happy and worries for his health. "How you girls know where to find me?"

"Mary Margaret saw you in the woods. You looked like a zombie." Answer Lucy smiling while Emma sighs for her comparison.

Then the sheriff has an idea.

"What things can do a sleepwalker?"

"They are very dangerous. They can even drive"

"You are…" David is worried about Emma's ideas. "You are saying that I could kill Kathryn without knowing?"

"I'm not saying that. I'm trying to help you because you will call her in your sleepwalker condition and for that reason you don't remember".

"Easy, David." Lucy touches his shoulders like if he is a horse and not a person. "Emma is going to hunt the bad boy. She never fails and she doesn't start now."

The click of the high shoes wakes up all the Lucy's alarms. The Mayor with queen complex comes with all her glory. And like she tough, Regina doesn't see her with good eyes, but fortunately she has her sister sheriff in her side.

"What are you doing here?" Ask Emma same nice that Regina looks.

"Mrs. Mills still be Mr. Nolan's emergency" Say doctor Whale, confusing his audience.

"I thought Kathryn was" Says David.

"Well, she is missing. So I came in her place." Say Regina with a smile, trying to be nice with him.

"Well… thank you. You're very nice with me." David is trying to control the tension between the two Henry's mothers.

"And Ms. Swan" the mayor looks Emma with her familiar poison in her eyes. "I'm going to ask don't interrogative more to Mr. Nolan without telling him his duty."

"I don't say anything because this is not an interrogation, it's a conversation."

"Yes, of course… conversation… my friend Kathryn is lost somewhere, Ms. Swan and your work is find her, no harass Mr. Nolan."

"That's what I'm doing, Regina"

"Accusing a man without telling him his duty?"

"If that is a problem, it's a good thing I'm not a cop." Say Lucy smiling for her hypothesis. Sincerely she wants push end this cat fighting.

"Ms. Swan two, I appreciate you stop messing in problems that are not your concerns."

"Sure, because with you we are enough."

Emma needs hide her laugh coughing; David has his mouth open in shock and Whale believe for a second that purple smoke would surround the mayor and doesn't understand why, so he decides forgetting and drink later.

"And Mayor, I don't meddling, I-m… observation"

"Ms. Swa…"

"Please" Lucy says the first thing she thinks. She looks frustrated and has enough. "Left Emma does her work and don't talk me shit."

Again those eyes, full of surprise and angry. Her mouth is moving, sure she wants protest, but it opens and closes every two seconds. Finally, resentful, Regina accepts Lucy's request and she leaves. Emma and Whale are bemused. Regina is accepting orders?

"How did you do it? What is your secret for dominate Regina?" Ask Emma in a murmur.

Lucy thinks in the two moments when Regina accepts her request with a please present. Why?

"Maybe the manners work after all."

FAIRY TALE LAND

It's awesome how a word with a friend give to Belle energy for get up from her depression problems and go to the council meeting.

But Thomas and James are not present yet, so her mind is rambling with a hand in her stomach. She was so worried about Rumpel said that she never thinks what she wants. Her mother never stay with her the time enough for teaches her these… problems? She died days after her princess coronation, nine years. Right now Belle wish so hard has her mother with her and asks for help. Belle wants her baby, she loves it, no matter if Rumpelstiltskin is agreed or not, she wants to raise her son.

Belle can feel Red's eyes on her, but Belle acts like she doesn't notice.

Finally the two princes appear and Belle is grateful that deviate attentions to them now and not the single mother with her child of darkness. It's probably Blue Fairy say that if she finds it. Belle doesn't have problems with the fairy but sometimes she says horrible things.

The funny thing is they had a bad look. They look like if they were coming from a battle.

"What happen with you two?!" Scream Red with surprise.

"Thomas, are you hurt?" Cinderella closes to her husband very worried.

"I'm fine, Ceni." Thomas smiles to not worry her.

"These stranger creatures appear again." Grumble Charming. He has a seat next to his wife.

"Creatures?" Cinderella doesn't understand.

"The same creatures who attack us in our travel to her wedding, You Majestic." Say Red gently.

"For that beast we asked this meeting" Says Snow White after seeing Charming unhurt.

"Blue Fairy, you know who are these creatures?"

"Their name is Abraxas, beasts of the darkness, born from pure dark magic." Her worried face shows how much dangerous are. "They have been imprisoned long time ago in another world. They don't have to be here."

"Who can give these beasts the freedom?" Charming demands answer with all prince roll.

"The Dark One is the only creature who can do it…" Confess the Fairy without know that mention of the man cause in Belle hold on in the chair. "…because he is who capture them… to be honest, I don't think that he do it."

"How can you be sure about that?" Ask Cinderella. "He is a monster without heart and doesn't care killing people for anything he wants."

Her voice sounds angry and spiteful for Belle's ears. Then remember last night, when she sees Cinderella and Rumpel dancing while he says something that the blonde get scare in her own wedding night. Is obvious Cinderella makes a desperate deal with Rumpelstiltskin, without thinking in the consequences and now she pays. Belle wants to correct Cinderella for her rude words, but Charming and Snow's advices eyes stop her. Belle's stay in the Dark Castle like the Dark One's maid is a secret for her security.

"I'm not saying Rumpelstiltskin can invoke an apocalypse for his plans. The Abraxas are his servants and is easy for him invoke them… but not was the Dark One."

"Are you sure Blue Fairy?" Asks Red worried. "If that man didn't do it… then who?"

"Yes… you see, after the Evil Queen's fall, the Scepter Black Snakes was missing."

"Oh no" Belle whispers alarmed, calling the attention on her. She knows that Scepter and now all have an explanation: someone stole it and controls the Abraxas. "But, Blue Fairy, no one can get Death Treasure except the Dark One."

"But that person can too"

The people can read fear in Belle's eyes. Her lips tremble. She and the Blue Fairy know who that mysterious man is, while the rest still waiting for an answer.

"Jafar is still alive"

STORYBROOKE

Emma leaves David and Whale without look behind or call to her sister because knows Lucy is walking with her. That is something Emma loves about Lucy, she doesn't need talk about her emotions with her sister for stay in her side.

"Emma, who are you calling?" Ask Lucy to see Emma with her cell phone.

"Ruby"

"Why?"

"She can help us to find something to help David and finds Kathryn."

"Of course, she is the Bad Wolf after all"

"I thought Henry said Ruby is Red Riding Hood"

"And she is. But also is the wolf. That is the fairy book says"

"Stop to read that damn book"

"Why? It's amazing". With her eyes blinking of happiness.

Emma wants tell her about the difference about the real world and the fantasy… again, but Ruby is in the line before she can say something. "Ruby, stop, it's me. I need a favor… listen, the last time David was sleeping walk, he was in the Troll Bridge. You know that place? It's a hunch, but I need you to take my car and go to check the bridge." Lucy can hear without problems the Ruby's insecurity. "You were amazing before, I don't know how you did it, but you are unique… It's not time for discuss!" Emma complains her insecurity. "Soon will get dark and David will get discharged in the hospital. So we need to know if in the bridge is something that can help us to find Kathryn."

"Okay" Says Ruby from the other side. "I'll call you when I come to Troll Bridge".

"How can I help you, Emma?" Asks Lucy when Emma hangs up.

"It's better for you looking for Syvone and come back home."

"But Emma, I want to help. If Ruby finds something, you will be out too late."

"But you decided to be mother and soon will be dinner time. Who's going to feed my niece?"

Lucy smiles distresses. "Right… then, I see you soon."

"Be careful, there is a crazy stranger man outside abducting people"

"Well, it's very crazy to mess with a woman who can break his teeth."

"Good point"

Lucy says goodbye with a kiss in Emma's forehead and walks to Granny because she left Syvonne with Widow Lucas with the permission to eat all Syvonne wants and later Lucy pays.

As she approached, looking through the windows a trail of her daughter, but not rogue nothing, not even when she is inside. The worry corrupts her while is searching everywhere that end accidentally hit with someone.

"I'm sorry!"

"It's okay". It is a man with the brown and short hair, beard and blue eyes. He is wearing black jeans, a blue shirt and a motorcycle jacket. Lucy is very sure now that he is the motorcycle's owner that is out.

"I'm really sorry. I'm Lucy, the new." And extended her hand.

"August W. Booth. Another new". Smiling shakes her hand.

"W.? Really?"

"W. is for Wayne"

"Wow… original". Very sarcastic.

"I work for that. If you excuse me, I'm going to drive around". August ups jackets zipper. "Nice to meet you, Lucy"

"The same August" She watches him leave.

Why that man is familiar to her?

"Granny, where is Syvone?"

"Oh dear" Lucas moves her pencil very nervous and for a second Lucy has fear. What happened with her daughter? "She was boring and she wanted go to the library. Isabelle, the librarian, was here too and both went together."

"The library?" Her heart is in peace now. Nothing bad happened. "Thanks Granny"

Says goodbye and leaves the place thinking in Henry's words the other day and that makes her walks faster.

"So… you are saying that my parents are the Beauty and the Beast?"

"Yes. And the Beast is Rumpelstiltskin too."

"The little imp that can makes gold with straw?"

"Yes, that guy. Wow Lucy, you are more watchful than Emma."

"Of course, I'm the smarter" Said very happy and proud. "Wow… my father is the Beast and also Rumpelstiltskin… something else?"

"In this word, your parents are the marriage Gold"

Lucy swallows hard, she was avoiding the library despite she loves the books for the fault of one ten years brat. Even she makes distances with Mr. Gold… and that is ridiculous! If Nick was here, he is going to laugh harder. She disturbed while she imagined him with idly and superior smile that she hate and excite the same time. How much she misses him.

Opens the doors and calls her daughter but only find the man who Henry said is her father: Mr. Gold.

The man has a fetish for expensive suits, but she understand that the suits makes him attractive and elegance, so he can uses it all the time he wanted. This suit is black with white thin lines, a wine shirt and a tie of the same color. Impeccable black shoes. And his loyal cane in the hand.

"Mr. Gold" Says with a smile.

"Miss Swan"

"I can say is all a surprise see you here but how you are married with the librarian…"

"I'm a very lucky man. Are you here for Syvonne? She is with my Belle looking for a book about Marie Antoinette"

"We were seeing a movie about the queen last night and…Belle? I think her name is Isabelle."

"I'm the only person who calls her Belle. It's my personal nickname."

"Oh… sure"

"Mom!" With a book in the right hand, Syvonne runs to Lucy and hugs her. "Mrs. Gold has a lot fantastic books!"

"I told always that you have to call me when you want to go to other place if I am not with you"

"I'm sorry but it's the library!" She said like it was obvious.

Lucy only can smile and think to talk with her later. Then she hears a different heels from Regina, this are more kindness and soft, calling for her attention. She looks how come the famous librarian with the entire books that she can holds with a hand and lighting the place with a radiance smile. So, Mr. Gold married with a woman twenty years younger than he, she thinks seeing them give the other a sweet kiss in the lips, and without prejudice. After all, Syvonne's father is a man with forty years.

"Miss Swan, let me present you the woman of my life and Storybrooke's librarian: Isabelle Gold."

"If you are so kind, that means you do something bad". Say Isabelle frowning.

"I promise you I don't haunting no one today." Gold tries to be very innocent while he thinks in the poor Kathryn hidden somewhere.

Two seconds are enough for Lucy to see true love between them. She was listening rumors in Granny's about the man and his wife: he raped his wife when she was teenager with her father under threat and forced to marry as soon as she came of age. Lucy can say now the people in Storybrooke are stupid for not see more than their stupid eyes.

Isabelle is pretty. Beautiful. With her blue eyes and so intense that Lucy thinks the librarian can see the people's soul with just a look like herself. She transmits a lot of security and strength that makes her feel jealous. A pretty brown hair, falling in waves to the elbows. Her skin looks soft like the cream and her nails are painted blue. Isabelle wears a sleeveless, discreet neckline and blue with white circles, blue high shoes, tights transparent and a red skirt.

"You must be the famous Emma's sister"

"Wow, probably I'm more famous here than in my old job". Referring to her years of making money dancing in a night club. "It's a pleasure." Once again, she offers her hand.

"The same said" Accepts her hand.

FAIRY TALE LAND

Belle is very sure that will remember for the rest of her life Charming's face. But also had fear that he faints.

They and Snow are in Lady Belle's bedroom. Tomorrow, they come back to their kingdom but first, they need talk about something very important before leaving.

She is crying again and Charming helps her with little petting in the back to makes feel better.

Minutes later, Charming's job worked. Belle is feeling better again and she smiles, continues with red eyes, but at least is not a mess.

"Thank you".

"You told him the true?"

"Yes… and the idiot doesn't believe the baby is his child".

"What?" Charming's face doesn't has a price. "How is possible that imp is the powerful sorceress in the world but also the more idiot bastard man with the woman he loves?"

"I really want this baby, but the same I am afraid".

"Do you have any idea about the consequence if someone finds out that you will birth the Dark One's child?"

"Clerics and witches will come to kill my baby and me… and I don't say yet what Regina can do."

"I will not allow it!" Decided Snow White, serious.

"But the kingdom will be in danger if the true is revealed"

"Charming…if you say that, it will be better if I leave the castle."

"Of course you don't!" Says Charming, takes her from the shoulders. "We are with you always".

"We will solve this together." Promises Snow with one of her smile that assured you that everything will be alright.

This time, Belle's tears are from happiness.

STORYBROOKE

This day is a shit for Emma Swan.

When she start to believe that everything will be fine, the things got worse.

Emma opens the door, mentally tired. She doesn't want to be in her house now Mary Margaret can't come back. But she needs sleeps, food, a shower and talk with her sister before saving her best friend.

The first thing she sees is Lucy reading a book and sitting in a chair, wide awake despite being midnight. Lucy is reading Henry's book with a coffee and cookies. Obviously she was waiting Emma. The second thing is Syvonne sleeping again in the couch.

"Emma" Lucy finally sees Emma coming and closes the book. "Yawn." Lucy did not notice how tired she was because she was concentrated reading. "Finally someone come back to home. Mary is not here yet and I'm very worried… Oh! And I did the dinner, so you…"

"Lucy" Interrupts to tell her something important. "Ruby found out a box in the Troll Bridge"

"And… that box has…?"

"Kathryn's heart" Lucy opens her mouth shocked and the tea cup scape from her hands and breaks into pieces. No one reacts, not even Syvonne thanks to have sound sleeper. "DNA test were positive. Kathryn Nolan is dead."

"Oh my god" Lucy gives thanks for sitting or she will has fainted at the thought of the… surgery. "David must be fucking devastated."

"And it's only the tip of the fucking iceberg… fingerprints were found… are Mary Margaret's."

"What? You are telling me that the saint innocent teacher is a suspect for murder?" She knows this town is all crazy but this is a new level. "Smell to bullshit."

"I know" Emma dropped tired in the chair, in front of her sister. "It's obvious that someone tries to blame Mary Margaret and I'm going to find out who it is… but I can't do this alone."

"I thought you have Ruby's help"

"She returned to Granny's… the things are going to be better between her and Mrs. Lucas".

"I'm glad to hear that" Sees a sad look in Emma. "Hey. You will save her. You will find the bastard son of a bitch and you are going to break his teeth's… and I'm going to break his face."

Emma begins to laugh. Lucy is right, Emma Swan will not back down and she will save the teacher.

"I need your help, sis" Say, calling Lucy's attention. Looking her frown, she doesn't understand Emma's words. "Do you want to work with me? In the sheriff station?"

Lucy Swan a sheriff? The second in command? She saw like Emma gives her a police badge. The same Emma used before Graham's death.

"You said you don't want troubles with Regina."

"My business and my job. I decided, not her… Lucy, this is so dangerous and I can't trust in anyone, except you, to save Mary Margaret… I need you sister".

Lucy is moved from her words. She loves her sister and she depends on her, as she depends on Emma. As in the orphanage, they were two of them and nobody else. They were family.

"Well, if you say it… I accept the job." Take the police badge with a smile. "Do I have to leave you a resume?"
