A/N: I feel like the previous chapter was a bit um…rushed? No, anti-climatic? No, Desperate? Chapter 8: Feeling freed, the reapers
(Fujimi High School aka Headquarters)
My name is Hisashi Igou…and I died by my (ex)best friend sword'
(1 Hour earlier)
Takashi and Imamura approached the front gates, which were barricaded by two cars and had two guards' arms with machineguns standing on top of each
"Got to make due with what you have I guess" Imamura said, signaling to the guards to open the gates
"Yeah" Takashi replied simply
The guards signaled to the drivers in the cars to reverse and the drivers complied, once the cars were out of the way Imamura attempted to push the gates open but they wouldn't budge
"Wait a minute" Imamura grunted as he pulled the gates open easily "These gates open outward so what's the point of having the cars on the inside?"
"We didn't want to run the risk of someone stealing them and no one wanted to stand guard outside" The guard on the left replied
"That fair I guess" Imamura shrugged walking inside,
"Hey Imamura do you think it was I good idea to leave the scavenging to Morita" Takashi asked, closing the gates behind them and nodding to the guards
"Well Kazu is with him he can't do anything too crazy like bringing back motorcycles or something" Imamura chuckled
(With Morita and Kazu)
"Hey Kazu can we take this vending machine" Morita asked excitedly
"No" Kazu said monotone
"Please"
"No"
"PLEASE"
"NO!"
"PLEASE, PLEASE, PLEASE, PLEASE, PLEASE, PLEASE, PLEASE!"
"NO! FOR THE LAST TIME WE ARE NOT TAKING THAT VENDING MACHINCE IT HAS COFFEE IN IT AND I HATE COFFEE!" Kazu yelled in frustration
"Aww.." Morita sulked
Kazu then smirked "We're taking that one" He said pointing to the vending machine behind him
"YAY!"
(Back with Takashi and Imamura)
"Yeah that's for sure" Takashi laughed
"Well anyway we should probably tell the others what we found in the city" Imamura stated
"You go on ahead, I'll head over to the gym meet me there with the others" Takashi said before leaving in a shunpo
"K~" Imamura replied as he went inside the school
(Fujimi High aka Headquarters – Gym)
Takashi did a few stretches to loosen up his muscles then took a deep breath as he raised his reishi
"Alright come on out you two" Takashi yelled, tossing his zanpakuto's into the air
Both zanpakuto glowed with red reishi and began to expanded in size and shape, soon they began to look humanoid and in a burst of red smoke two childlike figures landed into of Takashi in a loud thud
"Seriously guys was all that smoke really necessary" Takashi sweatdrop
In front of Takashi sat two kids, a girl and a boy who could easily be mistaken for Takashi's younger sibling or even his children
"Well we want to make a big entrance but we messed up" The boy said with a shrug, the boy is exact copy of Takashi when he was twelve, messy brown hair, golden brown eyes filled with energy and joy
"Uragiriiii what exactly do you mean by 'we'?" The girl said sweetly as she pulled Uragiri's ear, the girl looks like Uragiri only with softer features, shoulders length brown hair and chocolate brown eyes filed with mischief
"Ow, ow, ow ok I meant 'I' wanted to make a big entrance, stop it Fukushu" Uragiri begged his younger twin
"Good" Fukushu said releasing her brother's ear
Takashi watched the whole scene trying not to laugh the last thing he wants was to make Fukushu turn on him
"So Takashi why did you make us materializes?" Fukushu asked
"I wanted to talk to you two and thought that bringing you out would be a nice change of paste" Takashi said with a smile
"Well it is nice to stretch my legs for awhile" Uragiri said while doing a few hops "your mindscape is big and all, but seeing the same place everyday gets a little dull"
"I'll try to bring you out more often then" Takashi chuckled
"So what did you want to talk about?" Fukushu asked
Takashi took a deep breath "It's about getting Bankai-
"Let me stop you right there" Uragiri cuts him off "You've already signed the contract and agreed to the terms and now you must fulfill said terms there is no getting around it"
"…Actually I just wanted to with of the two blood do you want the most Rei's or Hisashi's?" Takashi said plainly
Uragiri and Fukushu looked at each other then back at Takashi with a grin "Hisashi's blood!"
"Very well consider it done" Takashi said monotone
"Boo, I don't like when you get like that Takashi all emotionless and junk its boring" Fukushu whined
Takashi raised an eyebrow at her "But you're the one how included that term in the contract remember, 'All emotions towards Hisashi Igou and Rei Miyamoto shall be rendered null for they are not worth my feelings' that was one of your terms" Takashi explained
"Well it sucks! Killing someone and not feeling something towards it make you sound like a bloodthirsty monster and your nothing like that Takashi" Fukushu stated with a huff
"He's not but you sure are" Uragiri giggled only to get hit in the head
"So I'll remove that term" Fukushu said as she claps her hands
A red scroll appeared before her and opened it self, Fukushu and Uragiri read through the scroll
"Aha here it is term number three: All emotions towards Hisashi Igou and Rei Miyamoto shall be rendered null for they are not worth Takashi's feelings" Uragiri said pointing on the paper
"Well lets get rid of it shall we" Fukushu said swiping her finger of the words and just like that they faded from the scroll "all done" Fukushu claps her hands and the scroll disappeared
"Well Takashi how do you feel towards Hisashi and Miyamoto now?" Uragiri asked excitedly
The waves of emotions that hit Takashi was so much more than he expected that he couldn't reply
Lucky Imamura had arrived
"Hey Takashi talking with your kids" Imamura laughed but stopped went he felf a fluctuation in Takashi reishi
"Whoa! Did you feel that?" Uragiri asked in false shock
"How could I not we're standing right in front of him" Fukushu said flatly
"What did you two do!?" Imamura demanded
"We released the lock on Takashi's emotions towards Igou and Miyamoto" Fukushu replied casually
"What do you mean 'we'" Uragiri asked only to get a jab to the ribs by Fukushu "Shutting up now" He whines
"YOU DID WHAT!" Imamura screamed rushing to Takashi only to be stopped by another fluctuation from Takashi
Takashi slowly turned around to face Imamura, his eyes being overshadowed by his hair
"Ta…Kashi…are you okay" Imamura asked reluctantly somehow he already knew the answer
"Hey Imamura…what shoulder I be feeling right now" Takashi asked with a cracked up voice, "Because I'm not sure what to feel" He raised his head revealing face, tears steaming down face, red half opened eyes that made him look like he's been crying for day and a crooked half hearted smile
"I don't know, anger I guess" Imamura sighed not liking where this is going
"Anger huh? Well I do anger" Takashi said lowly, his reshi spiked "Along with joy, pain, relief, regret, betrayed, happiness, hatred, sadness" Takashi's reishi spiked at each word "But all these are overshadowed by this UNYEILDING RAGE!" Takashi's reiastu flared the pressure caused the windows and doors at fly open
At the stood the candidates to become new shiniga- I mean reapers, at the front of the group stood Souichiro Takagi behind him was Saeko, Hisashi, Rei, Shizuka, Kohta, Saya, Yuriko Takagi and two solders, they had been waiting outside the door for Imamura to give them the go-ahead to go inside so when the door flew open only moments later they took it as the signal
"That must be this signal lets head inside" Souichiro said as the lead the way, they followed in suit
"They sure know scare people, making the doors flew open like take almost sacred me out of my pant" Kohta chuckled
"Well some of us are technically going to die today" Saya stated
"Well it was quite the spectacle" Saeko smirked
Hisashi just laugh
"Hisashi" Takashi grunt's after hearing Hisashi's laugh
"Oh boy" Imamura exclaimed drawing in sword
"Fukushu come" Takashi ordered, Fukushu nods and returns to her zanpakuto form into Takashi's hand
"I'll just stay here then" Uragiri grumbles putting his hands into is pockets, kicking away invisible dirt
Takashi took two steps towards the group before disappearing in a shunpo
"Oh no you don't" Imamura yelled using shunpo to intercept Takashi
Hisashi and the others jumped in surprise as Imamura blocked Takashi's blade from cutting him in two
"Hi..sa…SHIIIIII" Takashi raged as he struggled to overpower Imamura but to no avail
"Takashi calm down" Takashi yelled pushing Takashi away by a few feet
"What the hell is going on?" Souichiro demanded to know
"It's complicated I'll explain later" Imamura yelled back
Takashi shunpo again this time from the side but Imamura stopped him again
"Takashi that's enough" Imamura yelled pushing him into the wall
"MOVE! Hado #31: Shakkaho!" Aiming his hand at Imamura's chest he fires a ball of red energy at point blank
"Shit!" Imaruma got blasted across the room crashing into Kohta
Takashi turn his attention back to Hisashi who hadn't move and was surprisingly calm, smiling even it pissed Takashi off, Takashi walks toward him and to everyone shock Hisashi met him half
Now standing face to face Hisashi could practically feel the rage oozing off of Takashi but regardless he smiled
"You know this is the first time you've showed any emotion towards me since you came back, it makes me kinda happy you know" Hisashi said still smiling
Takashi just glared
Hisashi stopped smiling
No one moved, expect for Kohta and Imamura who got up groaning in pain
"I'm going to kill you" Takashi states seriously
"Going ahead I came here to die anyway" Hisashi said sullenly "Besides it only fair right" he gave a closed eyes smile
Takashi screams in rage as he draws his sword back ready to impale Hisashi "I HATE YOU!"
"BAKUDO #63 Sajo Sabaku" Three large chains of energy shot from the entrance, pass Hisashi and wrapped around Takashi pinning in place stopping his sword that was just three inches away from Hisashi's chest
Everyone turns to the entrance to see that the chains were coming from Kazu
"Morita NOW" Kazu yelled
Morita appeared behind Takashi in a shunpo and chopped him in the back of the neck knocking him out
Morita catches Takashi's limp body "Ok some tell me what the fuck is going on!"
All eyes turn to Imamura, Imamura points to Uragiri, all eyes turn to Uragiri, Uragiri was picking his nose
"What?" Uragiri asked noticing the attention he was getting
(One Explanation Later…)
So that's what happened" Morita sighed
"Yep" Uragiri nods eyeing Hisashi who hadn't noticed
"So your Takashi's sword that's interesting, can all zanpakuto able to get a humanoid form?" Saeko asked
"Well all four of us can make our swords materialize a body but then again there are only four of us it may be different four other" Kazu states
"Yeah the soul reaper in Kisuke-sensei's world are different from us" Imamura says wait thinking pose
Takashi groans as he woke up "did anyone get the number of the truck that hit me"
"Yeah it's: you-got-knocked-the-fuck-out 321" Morita smirks
"You ok?" Kazu asks helping him up
"Yeah" Takashi replies, he looks at everyone in the room mainly at Hisashi "I'm sorry"
Hisashi shook his head "No I am and I want to earn your trust Takashi, so please can we turn over a new leaf"
Takashi looks away "You can try"
"Oh I wi-augh" Hisashi suddenly cuffed up blood shocking everyone then he felt really drained like the life was sucked out of him, looking down he saw Uragiri holding Fukushu in his hand the blade covered in blood, that's went it hit him, HE WAS STABBED, his body fell to the ground cold
"HISASHI" Rei screamed rushing to his side but was stopped by Uragiri appeared in front of her and shoved in hand through her heart, she died instantly
Uragiri pulled his hand out letting her body fall to the ground, he watched as his skin absorb her blood like a sponge and grinned "it's done"
"Uragiri!" Takashi called out
Uragiri turned around to see them glaring at him other's were scared, Kohta and the two soldiers had their rifles aimed at his head, Souichiro and Saeko had their katana's drawn Yuriko and Shizuka hid Saya behind them and Morita, Kazu and Immura were indifferent, Takashi however was pissed as hell and that scared him
"Why did you do that" Takashi asked angrily walking toward Uragiri
"I-I did it for you Takashi you wanted Bankai didn't yo-
"IT WASN'T SUPPOSE TO BE YOU" Takashi yelled in rage raising his hand
Uragiri closes his eyes thinking he was going to get hit but instead he felt something on his head, opening his eyes he saw Takashi had rest his hand on his head
"It wasn't suppose to be you Uragiri, it was my burden to bare" Takashi said quietly
"I'm sorry I just…they were both here and Fukushu was screaming for them for what they did to you" Uragiri said with his head down
"Did the screaming stop" Takashi asked
"Yes the pain is gone now" Urarigi replied putting his hand over his heart
"Good, now head inside ok" Takashi said softly ruffling his hair
"Ok!" Uragiri smiled dropping Fukushu and returned to sword form
Takashi picked up both of his blade and sheathed them "Morita soul candy stat"
"Got it" Morita pull out a soul candy dispenser from hid sleeve and tossed it to Takashi who caught it
"We should wait an hour or two before giving the this but since Hisashi had all the blood sucked from him and Miyamoto has a hand size hole in her heart (Fukushu: you sure it wasn't there before) I'd say they're dead enough"
They watch as Takashi slip a candy into both Hisashi's and Rei's mouths but nothing happened
"Why isn't it working" Shizuka asked worried
"Relax it's not a wonder drug it takes time" Morita said as he sat Indian-style on the floor
"How long those it take" Souichiro asked
"About now to 6 hours" Imamura shrugs "It varies"
"6 hours is a long time" Kohta exclaims dropping to the floor
"I said it varies"
Takashi walked back over to them "I was bitten before I died knowing I was a goner I at least want to die human so I jumped from the roof, I was head for about 3 hours skull cracked open, bones broken but here I am, so I it work on me it well for them" He said leaning on the wall "We were all brought back to life I came back seconds after I got the pill"
"I was fell down some stairs and snapped my neck was dead for a good 3 hours but I came back in a minute after getting a soul candy all my hair grew back too" Morita said proudly
"I was bitten several times and was dyeing and turning slowly but thankfully Busujima-senpai gave me mercy and killed me, I was dead for an hour and came to in about an hour and a half after getting mine"
"I died fighting a hollow got both my arms ripped off and bleed to death, got my pill after before I died, came back I an hour and got my arms back" Imamura laughs at there blue face
"That so called soul candy is able to re-grow body parts?" Shizuka asked fascinated
"Well not exactly you see done by fusing our bodies with gigais" Kazu states
"Gigais" Souichiro asked raising a brow
"Gigais are artificial bodies which are used for a variety of reasons by Shinigami within the World of the Living. It is currently unknown when exactly the first Gigai was formed and by whom, But Kisuke-sensei created new one call Blank-Gigai that work copies our body structure and fuse with us replacing any missing parts" Kazu explained further
"But how dose I copy the missing parts" Saya asked
"The soul, its like the diagram for the body scan the soul and you get a new body" Takashi replies
"That just the simple version" Imamura said
"Ahh my head" Morita groans clutching his head "too damn complicated
Everyone sweat-drops
"And then there's the side effects" Morita chopped Kazu in the head
(47 minutes later)
Rei body began to shake before going completely still again and seconds later she sat up stretching and yawning
"Good mor'ing" Rei yawns before noticing she wasn't in her room "So it wasn't all a dream" She cried covering her face
"Someone go comfort" Takashi said tiredly, Shizuka nods and heads over to Rei
(2 hour and 6 minute later)
Hisashi's body began to glow blue when the glow fade Hisashi sprung up gasping for air, catching his breath he stoop up and looked over to the other
"That was…intense"
Takashi stood up and walk to the center on the room, Morita Kazu and Imamura following
"First I'd like...(sighs) to welcome Hisashi and Rei to team reaper" Takashi said feeling really tired
"You okay" Morita asked in a whisper, Takashi nods
"You talk over I gonna take I nap" Takashi said then shunpom over to the bleacher and lied down at the top
Morita turn to the rest of them with a grin "So….whose next?"
