A/N: So if you came back to this and noticed that the first chapter has been replaced well I decided to make it into a more proper au.
So think of the original chapter as like a pilot chapter.
What you're seeing here will be the official prologue. Figured I could do some world building. Of course when necessary I will take some liberties with lore particularly with Mewni and its neighbors. I will often be using Norse Mythos as a basis

"Tell me, princess. Are you familiar with the realm of magic?" asks a tiny floating blue skinned man.
"N-No...not really" A young girl with dark skin and brown hair answered nervously
"Now now. No need to be so nervous princess. I understand that you're not very familiar with it. Heck my own children barely understands it beyond how its the source of magic for your realm and many others" The tiny man said with an amused smile. He notices the look of curiosity in the young princess' eyes. She was eager to learn.
Now that was a rare sight. Usually Butterfly princesses would rather do anything other than actually listen to him. Perhaps there is potential in this one
"Would you like to learn more about the realm of magic?" he asked despite already knowing the answer.
"Yes!"
"Eager are we?" he chuckles "Where should I begin?"
"If it's alright can you um...tell me where the realm of magic came from? Like how did it all come to be?" the young princess asked politely
"Now that is a good question. To put it simply, the realm has no clear origin, at least not one that makes sense for you mortals but regardless for you see it is a dimension that exist beyond space and time that not even Hekapoo's powerful dimensional scissors can easily access it"
"Wow really?!"
"Yes. But of course in the beginning there was no realm of magic. There was only a dark void. And in this void there was suddenly a spark...the same spark that created the universe except this one created something "smaller". It's what everyone would come to know as the realm of magic and alongside a few other worlds that are connected to this magical realm."
He paused for a moment to let the kid take it all in before he continued
"Of course this is something you should know that a lot of people are ignorant of.
The Realm of Magic is connected to the fate of it's worlds, just as we are connected to it. The realm nourishes your worlds. The magical essence from its divine waters feeds your flora and fauna, allows the growth of your precious lacrimas. The realm's very existence supports the worlds among its branches, its energies interwoven into the tapestry of life... birth, growth, death, and rebirth... every strand, transcending time, transcending space. Everything comes back to this realm. Do you understand, princess"
The princess had her mouth open in awe "I think...I do" she moved her mouth to speak but was stopped when the man raised a hand
The man then lets out a yawn "Well that's good to hear because I will be ending our lesson here for now. It's already late and you and I both need our beauty sleeps. See ya tomorrow kiddo!"
