Artemis crouched silently staring at the base. The other had not only failed but also gotten Robin killed. Now, she was going to kill every single soldier inside. Superboy and Wonder Girl were both with her but the others were at the Cave. Artemis nodded and Wonder Girl carried both her and Superboy to the roof of the fort. Then she and Superboy leapt into the sea of soldiers below them, killing any they could reach. After a moment, Artemis began to kill them as well and soon the soldiers were all dead. Then, she slipped to the ground and the three of them snuck inside and then through the first level to the stairway.

"Alright," Superboy said. "What do we do?"

"We kill anyone and everyone we meet until we reach the dungeon where we rescue the original target," Artemis said. "Then you three leave while I set a bomb to level this place and hopefully do a shitload of damage to the city too."

"You had better get out before it goes off," Wonder Girl said.

"I will be," Artemis said. "I may miss Richard but I'm not going to go suicidal to see him again. Besides, I still have to kill Red Arrow for what he did to him."

Superboy nodded just as a door banged open below them and soldiers began to charge up the stairs toward them. Artemis shot an arrow into the group and that arrow exploded sending super-heated shrapnel into the other soldiers and killing them all. Superman glanced at her then began to lead the way down the stairs. As he had expected, one soldier had stayed at the bottom with a sniper rifle and the bullet bounced off of Superboy's forehead then landed in his hand. Then he threw it back so hard that it exploded out the other side of the soldier's head. The three of them continued through the base and soon reached a large open room where Wally and Tempest stood waiting.

"Where's Kaldur'ahm and Beautiful?" Tempest asked.

"Not here," Artemis said. "Can you two handle them?"

"Easily," Wonder Girl said.

"Don't underestimate them," Artemis said. "I'm going to go to the dungeon. I can only hope Red Arrow is waiting."

"He is," Wally said standing aside and holding his arm out invitingly. "Enjoy your death."

Artemis walked past him calmly and then continued down the stairs. Wally turned back to Superboy and Superboy cracked his knuckles. Tempest sprinted at Wonder Girl drawing his swords and Wonder Girl grinned and held her arms out. Tempest grinned and swung at her shoulder intending to simply leave a shallow cut and succeeded. Wonder Girl leapt back staring at the cut then at her blood dripping down Tempest's sword. Tempest tossed the other one to Wally and Superboy backed away also.

"These blades were originally made to cut through heavy armor," Tempest said. "You two are nothing to them."

Superboy smashed his hands into the floor then pulled up two sets of pipes similar in size to Robin's eskrima sticks. He handed one set to Wonder Girl then sprinted at Wally. Wally swung at Superboy's neck but Superboy blocked it then slammed his other pipe into Wally's shoulder shattering it. Wally spun and slashed Superboy's back then Superboy spun and smashed Wally's ribs with the back of his arm. Wally flew across the room and slammed into the wall just as Tempest's sword drove itself through Wonder Girl's stomach. Superboy push kicked Tempest into the wall knocking him unconscious then picking her up and ran after Artemis.

Artemis walked down the steps calmly using a second explosive arrow when several soldiers charged at her from below. After a few minutes, she walked into the dungeon and spun her bow at her left side and blocked a red arrow the same way Red Arrow had hers at the colosseum so many years ago. She pulled the arrow out and tossed it back to him turning to face him.

"Welcome," Red Arrow said. "Before you start accusing me of killing your boyfriend, remember that I do know what I'm doing."

"What do you mean?" Artemis asked.

"The plan was never to kill those that assaulted the base," Red arrow said. "Take a look."

Artemis looked into the cell he had indicated and saw Robin laying in a bed inside bandaged and pale but alive.

"He's...alive?" Artemis asked.

"Indeed," Red Arrow said. "Had I wanted him dead, I would have planted it through his eye."

"Thank you," Artemis said. "You have no idea how relieved I am that he's alive. Unfortunately, I still have to kill you. Unless you want to defect and go with us."

"Sorry," Red Arrow said. "Not happening."

Suddenly the intercom over his head went off and a voice said, "Change of plans, kill them all. Do not even spare the prisoners."

"But Sir," Red Arrow began.

"That's an order Lieutenant," the voice said.

"Yes Sir," Red Arrow said and the intercom turned off.

Red Arrow began shooting arrows at Artemis as fast as he could with everything from nets, to points, to boxing gloves for tips. Artemis rolled under a boxing glove and launched a pointed arrow of her own that scratched his arm then Artemis stood in cover just as an explosive arrow flew bast her head. She dove out of range just as it exploded then spun as a boxing glove hit her in the chest. She slammed against the bars of Robin's cell then stood and batted another boxing glove aside and fired her own boxing glove followed by an explosive arrow. He batted the boxing glove aside then blocked the explosive arrow on his bow and threw it at her before it exploded. She dove into cover then stepped out after the explosion and fired a taser arrow at him hitting him in the side of the neck. He dropped then pulled out a collapsible compound bow and shot a taser arrow of his own hitting Artemis in the chest. She stumbled back smashing the arrow off then drew an explosive arrow and shot it at the ground in front of him. He batted it away with his bow then dove sideways as it went off. Then, he stood just in time for a sharp arrow to tack him to a support beam.

"Not bad," Red Arrow said. "But now what are you going to do?"

"I'm taking both of them, then I'm leveling this place," Artemis said.

She walked over to the original target's cell and let him out then opened Robin's and walked in picking him up just as Wonder Girl and Superboy ran in.

"You beat him," Superboy said. "I assume we're bringing this place down?"

"Of course," Artemis said. "Plant the bomb here, then we bail."

"Deal," Superboy said taking off his backpack and pulling out a bomb big enough to send the entire base sky high.

Then, he and Wonder Girl flew them out of the base and then got clear of the blast just before it went off. Then, they all returned to the Cave where Aqualad and Tula were waiting.

"You see," Artemis said. "If you would just kill them all, you wouldn't need to worry about it."

"It's okay you guys," Robin said. "You did your best. Either way, I'm going to nap for a while."

Robin went to his room and to sleep and the others all did the same. Now that they had the prisoner, their next mission would be harder.
