A/N: I own nothing this is just for fun.

Levy sighed as she looked out the guild hall window. The storm had only picked up intensity the past two hours. The blizzard raged on. Levy and several other Fairy Tail members were trapped in the guild hall; waiting for the storm to pass. Levy had been in the guild library when the storm had really begun to hit the city of Magnolia. Levy had been curled up reading several novels that were tales of adventure. Having finished her novels Levy had left the library only to discover that she and her guild mates were snowed in. Now Levy was bored with nothing to read or do since almost everyone else was currently asleep thanks to a guild wide brawl stared of course by a bored fire mage, Natsu. As Levy continued to look out the window to watch the storm her mind began to wonder.

A small fairy sat on a flower basking in the sunlight. Her small wings stretched out to soak in the warm rays. After the long winter the fairy was glad to bask in the sun. Suddenly a loud roar split the air. A large smile spilt across the Fairy's face she knew whom had just awakened from his long winter nap. The small fairy took to the sky; flying up the mountain side knowing that he would be there long before she would reach the meadow. She caught a flash of dark grey with a shiny tint as it descended down into the meadow. The small fairy pushed her small blue wings to flap faster. A huge grin was spread across the fairy's face; she could not wait to talk to her friend. The large dragon was the only one in this mountain range that did not sleep all winter. Instead he traveled to a far island with other dragons for the first two months of winter before coming home and sleeping for the last one. The fairy finally reached the meadow; the only big enough for her dragon to lie down and rest comfortably in. "Hello Gajeel how was your winter?" the little fairy inquired as she came to rest on the large dragon's front left forepaw. "Tch. My cousins were annoying as always; Natsu still wants to fight everyone constantly. Erik was quite but he was there this year. Sting and Rouge were rough housing with Natsu until Laxus zapped 'em." Levy nodded not surprised about the large dragon's smaller male cousins, but she did notice that the iron dragon had not mentioned one cousin at all. "What about little Wendy, she was there this year right?" Gajeel shifted careful not to dislodge the tiny fairy on his paw. "Yeah Wendy was there, but…" Now Levy grew concerned Wendy was the only other dragon besides Gajeel she had met. The youngest of the dragons and a healer in training the small deep blue dragon had spent one summer with Gajeel a few years back. Levy was quite fond of the little dragon and often asked about her. "Gajeel is Wendy okay? Did she get sick, or hurt?" Levy's little fairy heart began to beat wildly with fear and concern. Gajeel shook his head "Naw nothing like that, Shrimp. Wendy is fine it is just that she is not a little dragon anymore. She shed the last of her baby scales during the summer so now she is off looking for her own roost." Levy gave a sigh of relief until she was that Gajeel looked upset. "You did not expect her to never grow up did you?" Startled the iron dragon balked "N-n-no it is just that she is like a baby sister to me. It is hard on me to watch her leave out on her own." Levy nodded to the large dragon in understanding. "It will be okay Gajeel. Wendy knows how to take care of herself." Gajeel nodded at the fairy "I know; I know. It just bothers me that she will longer be small like…"

Levy stiffened "Small like what or should I say whom?" Gajeel was silent before he finally sighed "Small like you, Shrimp. I mean you are already done growing and look at you. You still fit on my paw." Levy turned a beat red, now she was upset. She liked talking to the dragon that had the freedom to see more of the world than she ever would. Levy knew she would never leave this mountain thanks to her size and fragile wings. She snapped at the dragon "You know that I am a Fairy not a dragon, Gajeel. I will never be big and thanks to that I am stuck on this mountain. If I could travel I would; I want to see more of the world." The dragon balked feeling bad; he knew that his small companion would love to see more of the world. Gajeel sighed "Sorry, Shrimp. I know how you feel if I could find a way to take you with me I would, but I could bear it if something happened to you." Levy took a deep breath in order to calm down. "I know Gajeel that you would."

Levy suddenly snapped back to reality as Pantherlily land in her lap. A glance out the window showed that the snow had stopped and that a few of her guild mates were already clearing the streets of the city. Lily looked up at Levy "Welcome back to the real world, Levy. Gajeel wanted to know if you would be so kind as to help him and I clear some of this snow off of the eastern streets." The small exceed asked. Levy nodded with a smile "Sure let me grab my coat" with that the solid script mage stood to fetch her coat, gloves, and hat all while thinking about a fairy and her dragon.
