I don't own Naruto. I only wrote the fan fiction! If some of the characters seem a little OC-ish then I'm sorry - I haven't been keeping up with the episodes so don't bug me, and I might have changed a couple things - that is another thing NOT to bug me about! An Unexpected Visit - Something's Wrong
Kakashi decided to take Sasuke down the hall to his room to sleep seen as how he was really tired; he felt a shiver from the small frame in his arms. "He's cold? It's not cold in here at all though..." He thought as he sat down on his bed; realizing that Sasuke was still wearing Obito's goggles. He smiled and chuckled slightly, but even in trying to be quiet he still woke Sasuke; who hadn't fallen asleep totally and could still hear.
One onyx orb could faintly be seen in the dimness of the moon-lit room. "Wha-what's going on?" The boy asked; his voice sounded so small to the jounin.
"You sorta fell asleep in the living room so I brought you in here to sleep, but I saw that you were still wearing Obito's-er I mean-your goggles, and you looked really cute, and you kinda still look cute ya know..."
"I'm not cute..." He said as the other eye opened, and all you could see of his eyes was the sparkle that they usually had since that morning...every time the boy smiled was when you could see them the most.
The man chuckled again. "You can be sometimes ya know. You just don't THINK that."
Sasuke remained silent; he was very tired from training and used a bit too much chakra than he wanted to.
"You should take the goggles off and get some rest."
Sasuke silently took the goggles off and placed them on Kakashi's bureau and changed in to the sweat pants that the man had given him the night before. He walked over and sat back down on Kakashi's bed.
Kakashi put his arm around the gennin's shoulders; letting him lean against his sensei's broad shoulder, but he still tried not to fall asleep again; there was much to be said since they left to training grounds as it already was.
Sasuke was almost asleep when Kakashi slightly shook him. "Sasuke don't fall asleep yet. I know I told you to get some rest, but..." He whispered.
"Hm..." The gennin mumbled.
"Not yet..."
"Why?" Sasuke sighed as his onyx orbs slowly and sleepily opened; full of haziness from needing sleep; he had trained a lot today and had used a little too much chakra than he'd like to.
"We need to talk about some things. I know you're tired, but we need to talk about a couple things."
Sasuke nodded slowly. "Okay, but what do we need to talk about Kakashi?"
"I need to talk to you about the whole part of using that Crystal Geyser Jutsu that you had used TWICE in one week."
"Oh...that..."
"Yeah...that...so how did you learn it and who did you learn it from?"
"I dunno...really...if I knew I'd tell you, but it just came to me naturally...no one taught me at all."
"I see..."
"What? What do you see?" The gennin said lifting his head from his sensei's shoulder.
"There are some things that I should be telling you then...some things that I could get in trouble for telling you."
"What do you have to tell me, and why would you get in trouble for telling me? Is it really THAT bad to tell me?"
"Yes...I would get in trouble for telling you because it was a decree NOT to disclose anything to you about it. I need to tell you something that you can NOT take lightly...do you understand?"
"Yeah I understand but-?" Sasuke started to say before Kakashi cut him off by placing a finger on his lips.
"Shhh...le'me speak please..."
Sasuke nodded and stayed silent.
"I just have one question left to be answered..." The man said taking his finger off of the boy's lips.
"What is it?"
"Are you sure you're ready to bare this information?"
Sasuke nodded.
"Alright..." Kakashi said with a sigh. He cleared his voice. "You are the host of the Ten-Tails White Wolf - an Extremely rare Jinchuuriki that is said to only occur every one thousand years-or-so, and in other words said to be a myth."
Sasuke's eye's widened. "So you're telling me that I'm a host of the Ten-Tails...which is said to be a MYTH?!"
Kakashi nodded. "Yup. That's right. You're the strongest of them all though."
"Really?!"
"Yeah; the strongest...and on top of that...the Ten-Tails was the one who used to seal the other tailed beasts when they escaped from their hosts or hostesses."
Sasuke had no words to say - he never thought that HE'D be the host of the Ten-Tails White Wolf - a myth and ancient legend pasted down through the generations.
Kakashi cleared his throat. "But there's a catch ya see..."
Sasuke's head tilted. "What catch?"
"Well...the Akatsuki's main goal was to catch you and someone else..."
"Who else Kakashi? Tell me!"
"There's still a certain group out there trying to capture you too..."
"Who are they then?"
"They call them-selves the hidden sound ninja, but it's a faulty nation."
"In other words please."
"In other words - they don't exist."
There was loud crashing and yelling from a distance; making Sasuke jolt and snap out of his doziness...followed by a violent sounding voice. "WHERE IS HE? WHERE IS SASUKE UCHIHA? I KNOW HE'S HERE! TELL ME WHERE HE IS! NOW!"
Kakashi looked at Sasuke with fear in his eyes; seeing Sasuke in such a state made him scared too. "S-Sasuke?"
Sasuke was shaking. "I-I'm going out there..." he said before gulping; putting on a very convincing fierce face as he put his kunai holster, ninja headband, and Obito's (which are now his, but ya know) goggles on; flipping down the orange-tinted lens, and he was no longer shaking.
Kakashi was in shock - to see Sasuke go from scared to the point to where he was shaking to a ready-to-fight gennin; looking totally unafraid of what is to come. "You think you're going out there alone?"
"Huh?"
"I'm comin' too." Kakashi said as he fixed his headband
Sasuke smirked. "Hehe..."
"What's so funny?"
"I gatcha sensei."
"What are you talking about? How did you 'get' me?"
"Acting all tough DOES work in getting you to follow. You wanna see what happens...don't you Kakashi?
"I-I do want to see what happens, but I also want to make sure you don't get hurt."
"Hurt?"
"The sound ninja are ruthless when it comes to a target of high prize such as your-self ya know Sasuke."
"Hm. Whatever."
"The usual reply I sometimes expect from you Sasuke...I think we need to change it though..." Kakashi thought as Sasuke walked past him toward the door. He somehow felt familiar, but then he remembered how he used to act when he was a gennin. "You are just like me when I was gennin your age..."
~Flashback~
It was an early summer morning in July at around 5:30 am. He was a gennin on a three-man squad with Rin, and a some-what rival of his - Obito Uchiha...his sensei being no one other that the Fourth Hokage - Minato. Obito had shown up late; rubbing his eyes and looking as if he had just woken up - his hair was a mess.
Kakashi sighed. "Obito...you're late again..."
The Uchiha yawned. "So what? It's not my fault I can't wake up at 4:00 am like you can Kakashi." He said; sounding a bit flustered.
"I never said I COULD wake up at 4:00 am." He said calmly.
"I just assume because you always act so tired...well the way you talk that is...and your facial expression."
The gennin waved a hand at his team mate. "You're just full of shit Obito."
Obito gritted his teeth. "What did you say, Hatake?!"
"I said you're full of shit. Do you need to clean your ears out?"
"NO I don't! You just need to chill okay?!"
Rin became worried - their sensei would be here any minute, and he hates it when Kakashi and Obito fight like this. "Guys, guys...can't we just settle things another way that DOESN'T involve insults?"
Kakashi glared at Obito. "We COULD...if HE would shut up for two measly SECONDS."
Obito glared back at Kakashi. "Ditto to HIM too."
Rin sighed. "Just...just settle it with a sparring match then..."
Kakashi looked over at Rin. "Hm...that sounds like a good idea."
Obito nodded; not even uttering a word.
Rin blushed and looked away; a small giggle could be heard from the girl.
The two rivals engaged in a sparring match; a sparring match long enough to last until their sensei arrived; they had shown up early by his request anyway.
When Minato arrived he saw Kakashi and Obito in a sparring match; Kakashi had the upper hand on this match; he had gotten a full eight hours of sleep. While Obito only had at maximum five or six hours of sleep.
The jounin cleared his throat; catching the two boys' attention. "M-Minato s-sensei..." Obito stuttered.
Kakashi just turned around casually as if he's seen and or done absolutely nothing of harm.
"What were you two doing exactly?"
"We were arguing so Rin suggested that we spar instead of verbal fighting, and that's what we did." Kakashi answered; his eyes not showing any emotions what-so-ever.
"Well I like your honesty, but you know the penalty for arguing don't you Kakashi?"
Kakashi sighed. "Yes..."
"Good - get to it then."
Obito started laughing; only until Minato looked in the Uchiha's direction. "You too Obito."
The gennin looked surprised. "W-what?! Me too?!"
"Well yes...both you AND Kakashi were arguing...so yes...you too."
"Aw man!"
"Yeah, yeah...let's GO Obito!" Kakashi said walking away nonchalantly.
~End of Flashback~
"Sensei? Aren't you coming with me?" Sasuke asked innocently as he turned around from the door way; he noticed that his sensei hadn't muttered a word since the gennin decided to go after what the loud and violent yelling was.
Kakashi snapped out of his daze and looked over at Sasuke with a warm smile on his face. "Of coarse I'm coming with you."
A smile cracked onto the gennin's face.
The two walked out of Kakashi's house; Kakashi turning around to lock the door.
Sasuke was watching for anything suspicious in the area when he heard something from a little far ways away (Wolf senses) and immediately withdrew a kunai and was motionless in a guard position.
Kakashi turned around and became confused. "Uh Sasuke?"
Sasuke turned his head only slightly to let Kakashi know that he heard him.
"What are you doing there's nothing out here." He said placing a hand on the boy's shoulder.
"But I heard something over there down the path."
"Yes that's down the path Sasuke...not here. Now, put the kunai away, and let's get moving."
Sasuke put the kunai back and sighed as he caught up with the jounin. The gennin continued to hear the noises, and ultimately decided to hold his ground, but with a shuriken windmill drawn and ready to be thrown.
Kakashi turned around to see a shadow behind the boy, but thought he was seeing things. "Sasuke c'mon we don't have time for this."
"I'm not going any further. I'm staying right here until I find what I hear."
"Well maybe it's right behind you, but I could just be seeing things." Kakashi blankly said to the gennin.
Sasuke turned around and saw the shadow; throwing the shuriken windmill at said shadow he had fallen to the ground because he lost his balance (I would too if there was a shadow behind me, and it wasn't mine, and I didn't know about it).
Kakashi caught him and helped him to his feet.
The two turned to see a sound ninja lying dead on the ground; the horror in Sasuke's eyes was true to the core - he could've died right then-and-there, on-the-spot, never-to-be-seen-again, but he trusted his sensei's words.
The gennin finally came to terms with reality again and wrapped his arms around his jounin teacher. "Thank you Kakashi..." The boy whispered into the jounin's chest.
Kakashi crouched, returned the hug, and smiled. "No problem Sasuke." He whispered back into the boy's raven locks. "I just have one question."
"What is it?"
"Why the 'thanks'? What did I do to deserve it?"
"I felt it was necessary for everything you've done for me. I'm very grateful Kakashi-sensei."
Kakashi felt as thought he'd finally gotten what he had wanted to get to in the first place - Sasuke's finally opening up to people; especially his teacher. "*sigh* I got what I want. You've finally started to open up to others instead of pushing them away Sasuke, and that is a very big changed; you've grown to be strong Sasuke." Kakashi thought as he felt Sasuke grow warmer and warmer in his arms.
"We should get going now."
"You don't hear anything else?"
"Nope. That was it...it was just one of them."
"Alright then. Let's go."
Sasuke nodded and walked next to his sensei down the dark forest path from the jounin's house.
