I don't own Naruto. I only wrote the fan fiction! If some of the characters seem a little OC-ish then I'm sorry - I haven't been keeping up with the episodes so don't bug me, and I might have changed a couple things - that is another thing NOT to bug me about! The Showdown! - Sasuke's Once-In-A-Lifetime-Chance!

They came to a clearing which was the training ground; nothing seemed out of place. One thing caught the gennin's attention - what looked to be a person standing on the water...just standing there as if they knew Sasuke and Kakashi would show up.

Kakashi stepped toward the figure. "Who are you...step into the light and show your-self!" The jounin demanded.

The figure moved into the light and it was no one other than Orochimaru him-self.

Sasuke's eyes widened; shocked, and he could say nothing.

Kakashi looked back at the young gennin; only to see him shaking and unable to move; his onyx eyes were but small black dots surrounded by white. The jounin looked back at Orochimaru. "Why are you here?"

"I'm here for the young Uchiha behind you. You know - the one that's looking very frightened right about now."

Kakashi drew a kunai from his holster and stood guard against Orochimaru, and he decided to move in front of the young gennin he knew needed to run as far away from this dangerous man as possible...knowing what he's capable of. "Sasuke get out of here...now!"

Sasuke couldn't move. "No!"

"I know you don't want to leave this up to me, but trust me; just please get out of here...I don't want to see you get hurt."

This time hearing what Kakashi had to say gave him the chance to move, and he took it to walk up next to his sensei and draw three kunai from his holster and hold them between each knuckle.

"I told you to get out of here...not stay and fight!"

"I don't care. I stay and fight or I run while you run the risk of dying...that's something I'll never take a risk for again."

"Again, but this is the first time."

"For you yes, but for some other people who I once loved...that was their last."

Kakashi had nothing to say for this; all he could do was stare into the now-watery onyx eyes of the young Uchiha. He finally understood how alike they were - They lost their families to something, and they just ran while their loved once died. He continued to look at his young student, but although his eyes said he was going to cry...not a single tear fell from them. Kakashi saw that fighting along side someone is not as easy as he thought, but he knew that Sasuke was willing to risk his own life to save others; noticing that the gennin was still wearing Obito's goggles (not that he ever took them off that is), and it made him smile.

Orochimaru had been standing in silence (to be fair), and just seeing the confidence the gennin was displaying moved him; it moved him to a point where he thought he was actually going to be defeated by him.

Sasuke continued to look forward at his opponent; not moving until he did.

Something Kakashi was able to see from were he stood was that Sasuke had activated his sharingan, but it was different from before...before he knew what he was - A Jinchuuriki. This time the jounin could see that there was a blue tint to the goggles. He looked at Sasuke's eyes; only to see two ice blue sharingan; a DNA looking structure in the center (see image at /key/all%20mangekyou%20sharingan%20eyes and scroll to the very bottom). "That's not normal at all. When did he get that? That sharingan looks far too powerful for him to have right now...I would understand why he had it if he were older." Kakashi thought as he looked into the two ice-voided sharingan.

"My, my, aren't those sharingan a sight to see ay Kakashi?"

"Leave him alone!" Kakashi shouted. He looked over at the young gennin who hadn't moved since he had walked up and stood next to his sensei...as if he were in some sort of trance.

~Flashback~

He was standing on a dock starring at the lake as it reflected the setting sun. He saw his own reflection; only to have it brake apart like glass from a ripple of water. He used to come to this dock when he was a little younger than he was at the time; he his brother, his mother, and his father. Sasuke's brother - Itachi, would demonstrate a fire ball jutsu, and it would amaze both their mother and father, but it was mostly his father who would be impressed. The young Uchiha stood at the edge of that dock, and finally, he decided to attempt once again the fire ball jutsu his brother could amaze his parents with. His fire ball demonstration would be different from Itachi's - his mother and father wouldn't be there...it would just be who ever passed by. He formed the fire style hand signs - the same hand signs that his brother formed, and let out a giant burst of flame that reached halfway across the lake; it was much larger than Itachi's was by far in length and in width as well. The boy stood back from the edge of the dock, and once again, starred out at the rippling lake before him. There was still smoke that remained from the giant burst of fire, but the young Uchiha didn't take any mid to it. He turned away from the lake to see a blonde headed kid standing in awe at the top of the hill that lead to the lake; the sight made a small smirk crawl onto the young boy's face as he walked off the dock and back home to the Uchiha complex that had been temporarily condemned.

~End of Flashback~

Orochimaru was never there as it turns out...well at least Sasuke found that out when he snapped out of his trance. Turns out it was all just a dream that the young gennin couldn't wake up from. He heard a familiar voice calling out his name; it sounded somewhat like this voice was pleading for him to hear them.

It was faint and cut off at first. "Sasu-" The familiar voice called. Again it called for him; clearer and a little more put together. "Sasuke...wake..." Incomplete as it was, Sasuke could tell who was calling for him - Kakashi. "Sasuke...wake up..."

Sasuke tried to open one eye, but could only attempt at acknowledging that he could hear Kakashi at the very slightest. "Mn..."

The voice continued to call out to him. "Sasuke...wake up Kiddo."

The young gennin finally found his voice. "I-I...wha?"

Kakashi smiled as the boy's eyes opened to just dark slits. "You need to wake up Kiddo."

The young ninja barely had a voice, but he replied with what voice he had. "I know...I know."

"Sasuke you sound terrible. Are you alright?"

"Yup...just...just fine." He said sitting up; supporting himself with his triceps (and his elbows, but ya know).

Kakashi looked at his student with concern. "You don't SOUND fine to me."

Sasuke attempted to fix his voice by clearing his throat, but it didn't work all to well. "I'm fine Kakashi."

Kakashi put his arm around Sasuke's shoulder blades and lifted him up. "I'm serious Sasuke...you don't sound well."

Sasuke looked at the man with a face that said 'I'm annoyed with you'; making the jounin chuckle slightly. Sasuke became confused. "What's so funny?"

"You're trying to be intimidating when you just look so cute."

Sasuke sighed. "I'm not cute..."

"Sure you are...only sometimes though." Kakashi said with a sheepish smile.

Sasuke sighed again.

"I know...you don't like being called cute."

"Yeah...exactly."

The jounin chuckled.

"I should get going..."

"Why?"

"You said I could stay for only last night. It's not nighttime anymore."

"So?"

"So I should be going home."

Kakashi let Sasuke sit up the rest of the way and get out of bed. "Ya know you could just...stay here..." He said standing up from the bed and walking over to the young Uchiha.

Sasuke felt his face get hot as he felt his sensei's strong arms wrap around his waist. "K-Kakashi...w-what are you d-doing?" He stuttered.

"What does it look like I'm doing?"

"I dunno..."

"You should stay here with me." Kakashi whispered in the boy's ear.

The young gennin wanted so badly to let a moan escape from his throat from Kakashi's low whisper, but he restricted him-self from the thought.

Kakashi had still been close to Sasuke's ear when he decided to let out a small yet sly chuckle; in attempt to seduce the boy. "So whadoya say Sasuke?" He asked before he buried his face in between the boy's shoulder and neck.

Sasuke felt as though he couldn't speak, but attempted anyway. "I-I...uh...I-I..."

"Are you going to give me an actual answer besides 'I' being stuttered?"

"S-sure..."

"Why do you keep stuttering?"

"I didn't expect you to do what you're doing right now!"

"Is this uncomfortable to you Sasuke?"

"Just a little bit..."

Kakashi let up on the seduction a little to make Sasuke a little bit more comfortable. "Is that better?"

"Yeah."

"Good..."

"Why?"

"It's gonna get a little 'hot' in here...that's why."
