Sup guys? Lighting Wolf here, back with another story, this one about Black Clover. Enjoy the 800-word chapter. I don't own Black Clover, Yuki Tabata and a few others do.

Rai looked at the burning torch with interest. He was always interested in fire, it danced in the wind like a beautiful flower.

His mother looked at him as Rai turned to look around the courtyard once more.

"You shouldn't put him through the test yet, he's barely 10 right now." His mother stated as Rai continued gazing at the torch with interest. "Whatever powers he might have right now? Those might not might manifest once more. They could have been a fluke." His mother added while looking at the child.

He was curious and constantly learning more about what was around him. He wouldn't be a weapon if she could do something about it. This wouldn't be his destiny.

A child shouldn't be burdened with such power. Her husband didn't seem to share such interests… Even if she was the queen.

"His powers could help us make more allies." Rai's father put in which almost earned him a slap. "You can't protect him from life." He stated as Rai's mother turned to look to the side once more.

Still? He knew very well as king he had more interests then just his subjects… His son shouldn't have to shoulder the entire kingdom on his back. However? He was also going to be king sooner or later and he'd have to protect his people.

"I'm guessing that you plan on telling him at some point?" Rai's mother asked while rolling her eyes. "He's a child currently, you want him to leave his home. Where he's safe, where he constantly can enjoy life without knowing how powerful he is…. Those 'allies' you want him to make?" She asked him which caused her husband to turn and look to the side.

He said nothing at the moment. There were many concerns to deal with, many concerns that he didn't know how to handle at the moment.

Then again? He also knew that saying anything at the moment would be stupid. But it still needed to be said when it came down to it.

"We can't protect him forever." Rai's father put in while waving his hands back and forth. "None of us can… He has a right to know about the destiny he's been chosen for…. You imply it is simply him we have to look after." He added while shaking her head back and forth with annoyance.

She knew that they had a duty to protect their people and do what's best for the kingdom… But to use their own son as a way to do that? They weren't just rulers, they were parents. Their child had as much right to live his life as anyone else, didn't he?

"That isn't something that you can push onto him!" Rai's mother pointed out. "He's still a child and as such? He will be treated as one till he's old enough to make his own choices!" Rai's mother put in before turning and walking away.

Rai's father sighed. There would be no winning this and still looking like the hero. If he didn't inform his son what was expected to him when it comes down to it? Then he'd be putting his son before his people.

But to act like his son was simply a tool? Not something to be loved and cherished and treated like family? Then he had no right to consider himself a father, no right to act like he had moral high ground.

"Rai?" He asked which caused his young son to turn to look at his father with interest. "I have something important to tell you about. Something you need to know sooner or later… And sadly? I've chosen sooner." Rai's father put in which caused him to hum and turn to look at the moment.

He would burn in their afterlife, but it was something that had to be done. It caused him to hum and look to the side. This couldn't be put off sooner or later soon when it came down to it.

"You will be destined for great things when it comes down to it." Rai's father added which caused Rai to tilt his head. "There will be things you must be ready for… Things you must handle soon." He added.

Phew, first chapter will be in several months. I will make several Black Clover stories soon hopefully. Next chapter will be in 8 or so months and will show Rai learning more about his powers and his destiny down the road or such. Until then, Lighting Wolf out!
