Disclaimer: I don't own Harry Potter or Dragon Ball Z.

It had been a week since Gohan was released from the rejuvenation tank, and the subsequent spar with Vegeta, as well as being drug back to the medical wing by Hermione, so that Madam Pomfrey could make sure that he was alright. Unfortunately ever since that morning Hermione had been actively avoiding the young man, for reasons that Gohan was sad to say he didn't know, he had tried asking Harry and Ron, but the two refused to tell him. The young warrior had even asked Bulma what she thought only for the older woman to tell him that it was probably just girl stuff. Which only served to confuse the young man more.

Gohan was both surprised and grateful that Bulma had chosen to remain at Hogwarts for as long as she had; the blue haired woman claimed it was so that she could make sure that Gohan was completely healed, but Gohan knew that she actually stayed so that she could just be there for him if he needed her.

This came with another perk in the young warrior's mind, a perk that came in the form of the lavender haired three year old that was currently patrolling the schools hallways alongside Gohan. Trunk's had all but insisted that he wander the halls with Gohan, the little boy wanting to spend as much time with Gohan as he could, and Gohan didn't mind at all, in truth the older saiyan couldn't help but to wonder if this was what it was like to have a little brother.

Though Bulma and Trunk's had decided to stay for a week after Gohan had gotten out of the tank, Vegeta had departed Hogwarts the day that Gohan was released from the tank, mumbling about the gravity room, but the older saiyan had made it clear that Gohan owed him another spar, a challenge that Gohan a readily agreed to.

Hermione had just left her ancient ruins class, the bushy haired brunette was somewhat ashamed to admit that she hadn't paid much attention in that class, in fact she hadn't been paying attention in a lot of her classes as of late. All that the she could think about was the fact that she had yelled at Gohan, she had yelled at a member of the faculty. And no matter how hard she tried to justify it to herself she couldn't help but to feel guilty for doing so, which had caused her to spend the last week avoiding Gohan. She knew that she should apologize to him because he was a teacher but at the same time she had only yelled at him because he had stupidly decided to get into a fight almost right after he had finally gotten healed. Knowing that she wasn't going to magically figure out the answer in the next few minutes Hermione decided to head up to the library so that she could do her homework.

The rest of the day passed in much the same fashion, as Gohan and Trunk's patrolled the school, while Hermione split her time between her classes, and the library.

Bulma sighed softly as she looked at Gohan, she was immensely grateful that her godson had friends his own age, but at the same time she couldn't help but to feel somewhat sad since she knew that tonight would be the last night that her or Trunk's would see Gohan until Christmas.

The blue haired genius smiled softly as she turned back to her meal, less than a minute after though her blue eyes rose almost of their own accord, quickly finding the young woman that she had grown rather fond off in the time that she had been at Hogwarts. Bulma sighed as she looked at Hermione, the older woman had found a kindred spirit in the young woman, but she couldn't help but to be somewhat disappointed in the bushy haired girl. She couldn't help but to be somewhat angry at the girl for deciding to avoid Gohan, instead of talking to him.

Further down the teacher's table Gohan couldn't help but to glance at Hermione occasionally the saiyan boy had decided that he'd disregard Bulma's advise and do what he should of done a few days ago, so the instant that Gohan saw Hermione stand up to leave he all but jumped from his seat and followed after her.

" Hermione wait up" a voice called, causing the young girl to stop mere feet outside of the great hall, Hermione recognized the voice instantly, and couldn't help but to be somewhat afraid that Gohan had finally come up with a suitable punishment for yelling at him. Hermione couldn't help but to want to take off running, but she knew that that would most likely get her in more trouble, so instead she turned to face her doom.

"Hermione I just wanted to say I'm sorry" Gohan said softly, his head hanging somewhat. Hermione couldn't help but to stare at Gohan in shock, did Gohan think that she had been angry at him this whole time.

Gohan had hoped that Hermione might say something, but the fact that the girl remained silent caused Gohan to suspect that the girl wasn't going to forgive him, so deciding that he should probably just leave her alone Gohan turned and began to walk away.

"Um Gohan" Hermione said catching the young saiyan by surprise.

"Yeah Hermione" Gohan responded unsure whether Hermione was angry at him or not.

"I'm sorry for yelling at you" Hermione looked away as she said this, afraid this would be when Gohan would snap at her. Gohan on the other hand couldn't help but to stare at her in confusion.

"It's okay. You only yelled at me because you wore worried" Gohan said the son grin on his face, causing the young girls head to shoot up, her eyes wide at the fact that Gohan wasn't angry at her at all, in fact he understood why she had yelled at him in the first place.

"Hey Gohan, can I ask you a favor?" Hermione asked, once again not really looking at the boy.

"Sure Hermione" he responded.

"Um, would you mind training me, please" Hermione asked quickly, her question catching the young man completely off guard. But before he could answer Hermione continued.

"I've wanted to ask you ever since I saw your fight with Malfoy."

"Sure Hermione." Gohan said catching the young witch off guard. Hermione's look of shock quickly changed to a look of happiness, and appreciation.

"Thank you Gohan I won't let you down." Hermione said as she turned and started to run up the grand staircase, heading to her dormitory.

Gohan smiled as he saw her go, he was immensely happy that Hermione was talking to him again, and he was somewhat excited at the prospect of training with Hermione, he realized of course that he hadn't told the young girl when they were going to train but considering that tomorrow was a Saturday he figured that he'd just have her start after breakfast.

Hermione couldn't stop smiling the whole way down to breakfast the next morning, the young witch suspected that Gohan would begin training her right after breakfast so she had dressed accordingly, wearing a pair of sweat pants and a tee shirt.

Gohan couldn't help but to smile as he saw Hermione enter the great hall and quickly begin eating, the young warrior couldn't help but to chuckle at how excited Hermione seemed to be, he quickly realized though that if he wanted to eat his fill before he had to begin training Hermione then he needed to start eating now.

Breakfast was a quick affair for Gohan and Hermione, and before long the two found themselves at the quidditch pitch.

"Okay Hermione, let's start with some stamina training." Gohan stated as he began to stretch, before he took off at a jog, Hermione following not too far behind him.

The two had barely completed a lap around the quidditch pitch, when Hermione fell to the ground in exhaustion, Gohan quickly coming to stand above her a large smile on his face.

"I'm actually really impressed Hermione, I wasn't sure if you would make it around the entire pitch on your first try." Gohan complemented the young witch. Hermione was too busy trying to pull more oxygen into her lungs to respond, but she did feel an immense amount of pride at the fact that she had exceeded Gohan's expectations.

"So take a five minute breather and then we'll begin the next part of today's training session." Gohan said, causing Hermione to groan as she began to realize just what she had signed herself up for. As well as wondering if she'd live long enough to go to the Capsule Corporation Christmas party that her, Ron, Harry and their families had been invited to.
