Chapter 12
Mary's POV
I don't know where my thoughts were lost. We walked around the venue as I ran into Samu's back. I looked up confused why he suddenly stopped. The stage was right in front of us and what should I say, it was huge. But why was that such a surprise for Samu ?
'What's up Samu ?''The stage is just so huge !''Still not used to it ?' 'Nope. I still have stage fright.' 'But you guys have been touring for 8 years now. How come ?' 'It all started again when I fall of stage for the first time.' 'How did it happen ?' 'I've tried to jump on a box, trapped and fall down. My guitar broke.' 'I'm sorry to hear that but you need to cool down. As long as you don't hurt yourself everything is gonna be alright. Just remember that your voice is awesome, you're a handsome man and every girl in the audience wants you. You don't need to be frightened.' 'That's so nice of you !' He hugged me tightly and I just let go of everything in that moment.
A while later the others joined us in front of the stage, Samu was joking around with the other guys like always but I knew now that he was frightened and looked at this scene with a different view. They all looked so happy in that moment and I was jealous. Soon the guys had to do their sound check and Anna and I went to build up the merch tent.
We met the band who will play before them, they were called My First Band. We found ourselves surrounded by finish people because the guys of My first Band were from Finland as well. After an hour we had set up the tent and then the doors opened and 35 000 girls and boys ran by, just some stopped to buy a tour t-shirt or a shirt with the face of Samu or another band member, depending on which one they liked the most.
My First Band went off of the stage, leaving screaming girls behind. Our merchandise tent was empty because everyone was standing in front of the stage, waiting for Sunrise Avenue to start the show.
The intro was played with a little film showing the guys. All the girls went nuts. Anna and I walked past all the girls and into the backstage area. Standing at the left side, watching the guys having the time of their life's.
Goosebumps went all over my body when it came to Fairytale Gone Bad. Every single person in the crowd was singing this song to the guys and they just watched it. This song is the hardest part of the show to me because it's about a relationship that went terribly wrong which brought me back to my past. Just for a few seconds because after that the guys took a little break, they came to us sweating. I was smoking a cigaret.
'Can I ?' Samu asked me looking at my cigaret. 'Sure.' I shrugged and gave it to him. He smoked it like crazy inhaling in and out. I had to laugh so hard it ended up in a cough. After that we had to go back to the tent because the concert was nearly over.
We heard the crowd screaming 'One more song.' and Osmo went on stage to play his solo and the intro of Hollywood Hills.
