It was nothing but a white skull with black holes for eyes and a stringy white beard that went down to his waist. His toothy mouth went into a wide smile that started to freak Jack out.

"I am Death. By the look on your face, I can tell that I am not what you expected" he said.

"Well, I was expecting a guy with black robes, blood everywhere and a scythe with a head on it" Jack said and Death laughed.

"No, Jack that isn't my style but that isn't why I'm here. Well, Man in the Moon would be here instead of me but we came to a conclusion that I shall be the one to greet you" Death said, standing up and walking over to Jack who started to shuffle back.

"You're not gonna suck my soul out are you?" he asked and Death chuckled.

"I have already done that once" he said. This comment sent shudders down Jack's spine but then Death sighed. "Alas, I have had to return it due to Man in the Moon's wish. Even I am not capable of disobeying him" he said and he stretched out a hand or what was a skeleton hand out to Jack.

Jack didn't touch it for a moment but he decided to take it and the hand felt surprisingly smooth as he took it and Death pulled him up. "So uh… where exactly are we?" Jack asked, looking around only to see white everywhere.

"We are on the border line of life and death. This is what lies between them. It very rare when souls are here but then again, you are quite rare yourself aren't you?" Death asked.

Jack shrugged, "You could say that" he admitted.

"I know I can say that. The bringer of ice and snow, flyer of the wind and the guardian of fun who will turn any serious situation into a game. Hopscotch seems to be the game of your disliking" Death said and Jack looked at him when he said that.

"Disliking? What do you mean?" he asked.

"Walk with me" Death said, walking forward and Jack curiously followed. "Well, I wouldn't say disliking. After all, hopscotch is what made you Jack Frost is it not? An icy game of hopscotch might I add" Death said and now Jack knew what he meant.

"You know what happened to me?" Jack asked and Death nodded.

"Of dear boy, I was there. You are one of the very few people who cheated me and lived to tell the tale" Death said.

"You were there for my sister weren't you?" Jack said, a little anger coming to his voice.

"I was at first yes. But you switched places when you helped her. You cheated me. So you took her place. I almost had you but ah, dear old Manny saved the day and I lost you" Death said, sighing at that last bit.

Jack then discovered that he could ask Death several things and he tried not to burst all the questions out at once.

"So did you take my sister soon after I died?" Jack asked, feeling weird that he was saying 'died' when here he was.

"Dear me no! She lived on to be a beautiful young woman. I took her when she was an old maid. Ninety three. Good age" Death said with a smile.

"Did she have kids?" Jack asked, his anger dissolving.

"Indeed she did. Four children, two girls and two boys. Ended up having eighteen grandchildren and two great grandchildren and she died at the birth of her great- great grandchild" Death said.

"What was her husband like? Did her treat her well?" Jack asked anxiously.

"My, my, she was lucky to have a protective brother like you. But yes, he did. His name was Tom Trester" Death told him and Jack smiled.

"Good" Jack said but then he found his smile fading. Death saw this.

"What is it Jackson?" he asked gently.

"Well… I just wish that I could've been there to see her grow up that's all…" Jack said sadly.

"My boy, you gave her another chance to live. In doing so, the whole town heard of what happened that day. You were the hero. Your sister told her children and the many more that followed after them about you. They worshipped you and they passed the tale of what you did down to their children" Death replied and Jack looked down at his feet, happy about the comment but still wished that he could've seen her.

Death saw this in his eyes and he sighed. "I am not supposed to do this to people but… you are different" Death said, tapping his staff down on the ground three times and Jack was blinded as the room was illuminated with a white light. When it died down, Jack's vision was blurry and he had to squint around for several moments.

"Jack?" a soft voice said. Jack turned his head around at that voice and he saw tow tall blurry figures in front of him, followed by several small figures.

Jack rubbed his eyes even more and finally, he could see the figures before him and his jaw dropped. There before him were several small children and one of the figure's had brown hair down to her waist and a womanly figure along with matching brown eyes. The man holding her hand had sleek black hair, green eyes and a manly figure.

"Pippa?" Jack whispered.

Pippa had a huge smile on her face and she broke away from the man's grasp and towards Jack where she tackled him into a tight hug. Tears dripped out of her eyes and dripped onto Jack's t-shirt and Jack was so overwhelmed, his hands were shaking as he hugged her.

"Oh Jack, I thought I would never see you again" Pippa whispered.

"Same here to you little sis" Jack replied.

Pippa pulled away from him and smiled as tears continued to come from both of them.

"Mummy, who is that?" a little girl asked.

Pippa and Jack turned to see the four children coming towards them along with the man, who Jack guessed was Tom. The two girls were at their mother's side instantly. "Who is he?" the girl, who was brown haired and the splitting image of her mother, asked again.

Pippa knelt down and held her daughter's hand. "Emma? Do you remember me telling you about Uncle Jack?" Pippa asked and Emma nodded as did the other girl, who was black haired and had green eyes.

"Yes! It's mine and Emma's favourite story! Uncle Jack is so brave!" she said and Jack almost cried again at that bit.

"Well Elizabeth, what if I were to tell you that this is Uncle Jack?" Pippa asked, looking up at Jack who smiled.

The girl's eyes nearly popped out of their heads and before Jack could even say anything, they ran up to him and hugged his legs.

"Uncle Jack! It's really you!" they cried. Pippa smiled as Jack kneeled down and gave them both hugs.

"Yep, it's me kiddo's. You're mother been talking about me has she?" Jack asked and Emma nodded.

"Yes! She always tells us the tale of how you saved her!" she said and Jack smiled.

"That's what brother's do" Jack said and Pippa wiped a tear away at this and Tom came over and held her hand. "Speaking of brothers" Jack said, looking over at the two boys who were too stunned to move. "How are you guys doing?" Jack asked.

"You are really Uncle Jack?" the brown eyed and haired on asked. He looked at lot similar to Jack when he was younger.

"In the flesh" Jack said.

"Cool!" the boy shouted, almost knocking Jack over as he hugged him along with the other boy who looked like Tom. "I'm Max and this is Finn!" Max said, pointing to himself and then Finn.

"Well then you two, I hope you have been behaving well for your mum and dad" Jack said and Tom chuckled.

"Little pair of trouble makers" he said and Pippa laughed.

"Now who does that remind me of?" she asked out loud and everyone laughed.

Jack then stood up and looked at Tom and held out a hand. "Thanks for taking care of my little sister" Jack said and Pippa folded her arms.

"I am taller then you if you haven't noticed" she said, causing Jack to smirk as Tom shook his hand.

"My pleasure Jack" he said, shaking it firmly.

"Uncle Jack?" Finn asked.

"Yes?" Jack asked, looking down.

"Do you know what the Boogieman is?" he asked. Jack frowned at this and looked at Pippa who said nothing.

"Why?" Jack asked, kneeling down to his height.

"When Mum got sad before, I saw a shadow behind her when she was asleep in her chair. It said that it was the Boogieman. What is that?" Finn asked.

"Your mother never told you?" Jack asked.

"No. She said it was nothing" Finn replied.

"Well, you want to hear a little story kiddos?" Jack asked. The kids eagerly clambered around him with excited faces. "The Boogieman is a man that creates fear. He knows what you're afraid of and can make them come to life. Now his job is to scare people but he isn't the only one who gives out dreams. But unlike the Boogieman, whose dreams are bad, there is someone who gives out dreams. Wonderful dreams. Do you know who that is?" Jack asked.

The kids thought about this. "Is it the Sandman?" Max asked.

"Yes! The Sandman is the Boogieman's enemy and if he is around, the Boogieman can't do anything. But even dreams can't solve everything. You can believe in the Boogieman but you don't have to be afraid of him do you?" Jack asked.

The kids shook their heads. "No! We don't!" Finn said sticking out his chest as if he was a warrior.

"Your stories are much better than Mum's!" Elizabeth said and Pippa rolled her eyes.

"Well, I am not your Uncle Jack am I?" she asked and everyone laughed.

Death, who had been standing and watching this reunion, was smiling throughout it but now he was frowning. "Jackson?" he called. Jack looked over to him, realizing that he was the only one who could see him. "It's time to go" he said.

Jack's smile faded as he didn't want to go but he knew that he had to. "What's wrong Jack?" Tom asked.

"I have to go now" Jack said and Pippa gasped.

"No, I don't want to lose you" she said, clinging onto him and the kids did the same.

"Neither do we!" they yelled.

"Okay, you guys listen to me for a minute" Jack said, gently pushing them away so they were all looking at him with teary eyes. "I have to go now because I have a new family to look after. I know that they won't be as awesome and cool as you lot but they need me" Jack said.

Pippa sniffed as she knew her brother was right but the kids didn't. "We want you to be here always!" they cried. Jack kneeled down so he could see their tear streaked faces.

"I'll always be with you. In here" Jack said, touching each of them on their chest where their hearts were. "I want you to look after you mum and dad for me. Think you can do that for you Uncle Jack?" he asked.

The four nodded and they all piled in to hug Jack and Jack tried not to cry as he hugged them back. Jack then stood up and he turned to Pippa. "Same goes to you. You brought these kids up well and you have taken good care of them" Jack said.

"I learned from the best" Pippa sniffed, hugging Jack tightly and Jack hugged her back. "Goodbye Jack" she whispered.

"Bye Uncle Jack!" the kids cheered.

"See you Jack" Tom said.

Jack closed his eyes as the family said one more sentence. "We'll miss you!"

That sentence ended in an echo and when Jack opened his eyes, they had all gone. Jack wiped his eyes and Death came up beside him. "It's time for you to return too. I think you owe Pitch a little conversation for scaring your sister's family like that, wouldn't you agree?" Death asked and Jack nodded.

"Indeed. Thank you Death. Send Manny my thanks too" Jack said, looking at him with a smile.

"Of course Jackson. I hope I won't see you again for an extremely long time" Death said, taking Jack by the shoulder and he was blinded by the light once again.

Back in the Pole, Pitch was losing his fight as the rage of the Guardians was too much for him. He was now backing away from the yetis, elves and Guardians as they closed on him, not knowing that Pitch was backing up to Jack's coffin.

"This ends now!" Bunny snarled, his knuckles cracking and Sandy had angry images above his head.

Pitch did want to get away and he knew he could but he wanted to do one more thing that would provoke them. Now noticing that he was right behind Jack's coffin, he created a huge black axe, whirled around and raised it above his head and prepared to smash the coffin open.

"Let's see how he is doing, shall we?" he asked.

"NO!" Tooth screamed, and she was about to charge at him and Pitch was about to bring the axe down but a loud cracking noise made them all stop dead.

It was the sound of cracking ice.

DUN DUN DUUUNNNN! So how was that for a chapter! I don't know if Pippa (if that is even her name) got married and had kids but Tom, Max, Elizabeth, Finn and Emma I all made up. I made up the older Pippa too, I just pictured her looking like that. Unfortunately, I don't own Rise of the Guardians. If I did, there would be a sequel in the making :( Fingers crossed they will make a new one. I am looking on websites to find out any info but so far, nothing.

Anyway, the next chapter will be the last so can I have fifteen reviews for the big finale and cupcakes as a snack? Bye for now!
