ASDFGHJKL I HAVEN'T WRITTEN IN SUCH A LONG TIME! ;v; I'm stuck in school again...I feel as if my brain is going explode, 'cause that's what school just does to you. :'(
"Hagashii~! Korosu~!" Kirara scampered toward her older brothers. "Come play with me!"
Korosu snorted. "We're too old for playing. We're going to do battle training."
Kirara's crimson red eyes lit up. "Can I watch? Please?"
"No way," Hagashii scowled.
Kirara's two tails drooped. "Why not?" she whined.
Sora slid in between them. "Just let your sister watch. There's no harm in that," she chided.
Korosu bristled. "But-"
"Let's go! Let's go!" Kirara interrupted, bouncing up and down excitedly. He eyes sparkled with anticipation.
As the four cat-demons padded towards a small clearing, Kirara could feel pulses of rage emitting from both Hagashii and Korosu. Why were they angry? Was it because they didn't want her to want? If so, why didn't they? Kirara just couldn't understand her brothers' unexplained anger.
When they reached their destination, Sora whisked Kirara to the edge of the clearing. "Don't get in your brothers' way." Sora murmured.
Korosu and Hagashii faced each others in the middle of the clearing. Suddenly, flames enveloped them and when the flames died down, what stood in the center of the clearing were two demons resembling two enormous saber-tooth tigers.
Kirara's eyes widened. "Wow!" she gasped. She had never seen anything like that before. She pawed at the ground. She couldn't wait to start her battle training!
A strong metallic smell wafted into Kirara's nose. She frowned. Sora had told her about this smell before. She had said it was a red liquid and flowed in every living thing's body, and it was bad when it came out of the body. Kirara glanced at Hagashii and Korosu, trying to remember what it was called. She noticed glistening, crimson liquid smeared on their pelts, and she immediately remembered the name. It was called...
Blood!
"Stop!" Kirara yowled.
Sora glanced at her, alarmed. Hagashii and Korosu turned around to face Kirara, their eyes piercing as they glared at their little sister.
"Don't interrupt our training," Korosu spat angrily. Hagashii's nodded in agreement and bared his long, sharp teeth.
Kirara stared at them. "I smelled blood, though! I saw it, too!"
"So what?' Hagashii sneered. "The ones who don't spill blood during training are weak! Cowards! Just like you."
Sora stepped in between Kirara and her brothers. "Don't argue!" she ordered. "Hagashii, Korosu, your sister is right. You shouldn't spill blood during training. Who knows when another battle will come. It's best not to get injured beforehand."
Korosu and Hagashii transformed into their original form again. "You're just taking her side because she's the younger one!" Korosu snapped. He and his twin brother spun around and bounded off deeper in the forest.
"You two come back right now!" Sora shouted. But Hagashii and Korosu were already gone.
Kirara stared at her paws, crestfallen. "Am I really a coward?" she whimpered.
Sora licked her daughter's small head. "Of course not," she purred quietly. "Your brothers are just teasing."
I don't think they were just teasing me, Kirara thought, but she kept it to herself. She knew Sora was just trying to make her feel better.
"Come on," Sora muttered, swishing her two tails. "Let's go home."
"But what about Hagashii and Korosu?"
Sora glanced at where Hagashii and Korosu had disappeared. "They'll come back eventually."
Kirara blinked. "Alright."
They set off for their home. As they walked, Kirara's head was filled with thoughts. Why would they want to spill blood? Where did they disappear to? There were many, many unanswered questions.
YAY! I FINISHED THIS CHAPTER! But it is rather short. I'M SO SORRY! I hope to make longer chapters in the future!
