HELLOOOO! So here I am, BACK FROM THE DEAD! Seriously, everyone, I'm really sorry for the delay in updates. I've sort of been a little stumped on how to continue this story. Plus I've been SUPER busy with schoolwork and practices. But, the show WILL go on. And so, without further ado, here it is...

Mrs. Ratfield's smile just kept on growing as she began to see the few remaining players being frozen. Although it was only coming from her small computer, her signal was strong. It was only taking so long because of the amount of energy it was using to reach all of "MyAlternative's" millions of players.

She kept on scrolling through the different worlds and different cities, watching as the remaining few ran and often screamed with terror and, then, froze in place and silenced themselves. What brightened her up even more was that she had seen no trace of that Doctor and his friend. Good girl, she thought of Tammi. She always came through. An excellent worker. Truly a member of the family….

A sudden flash went through Mrs. Ratfield's mind. An image of Tammi. Smiling and looking up at her. A beautiful white gown fitting her body perfectly. Her hair down and natural. Mrs. Ratfield sighed deeply and found her eyes watering up. She let herself go for just a moment. It was as if Tammi really was right in front of her, looking up to her. She was laughing and showing off her perfect and bright teeth. "I love you so much, Mom," she was saying, soft and light, almost in an echo.

"HELPPP!"

Another scream from another player robbed Mrs. Ratfield of her thoughts. She twitched in her chair slightly, looking around and remembering her surroundings and her agenda. She regained her and refocused herself back to the computer. It seems that another player and her boyfriend stopped abruptly in front of the local boutique. They were holding hands while looking at each other with fear and uncertainty. Mrs. Ratfield inspected them closer. The girl had glasses, frizzy red hair, and freckles all over her body. The boy had spiky blonde hair, dark eyes, and was slightly taller and older than her.

To Mrs. Ratfield, they almost looked like…. Tammi and Terrance. "No," she whispered to herself.

Another flash came and went. This time it was of Terrance. Tall, strong, well-built Terrance. Wrapping his arms lovingly around Mrs. Ratfield, flashing his own bright smile. He was chuckle heartily. "No," she whispered again, trying to stop the video in her head but it kept playing. Soon, Terrance brought himself up next to Tammi. They giggled and beamed at each other. She placed her arms around his neck and snuggled her head into his chest. He took a hand and began rubbing her back. Truly two of a kind. Perfect together. "No. No!" Mrs. Ratfield kept repeating, her intensity growing louder and louder.

"Love you, Mom!" the two said in unison, still holding each other and looking up at her. Like any two children would look up at their mother.

"NO! NO! NOOOOO!"

She flung herself out of her chair and onto the ground, banging her fists into the floor and screeching like a toddler in a tantrum. She felt the tears threatening to appear and fall down her withering face. But all of the screams and pounding suddenly came to a halt. "No," she finally decided through gritted teeth. "No. Not now."

She grabbed for the edge of her desk and slowly brought herself up. Her heels clicked as she stood and moved around, straightening her black jacket and dress pants. She combed through her short hair at least a couple of times before wiping away the unshed tears under her eyes. She took several deep breaths and set her eyes dead on the door several feet in front her.

"Not now," she repeated. She could not let emotion cloud her judgment. This was right. This is what she wanted. This is the only way she could be happy. In a way, this is the only way the kids could be happy, too. She could care for them. Look after them. Protect them. She would be their mother. She smiled at the word. Mother. The one thing she has always wanted to be. What she is going to be.

She grinned and swiftly sat back down in her chair, scrolling through the different worlds and cities again, watching as the remaining few ran and often screamed with terror and, then, froze in place and silenced themselves.

Oooooo... So, I did this mainly to give you all more insight of Mrs. Ratfield and why she is behind all of this. I also wanted to give the Doctor & Co. a bit of a break! I hope this makes up for my long absence. Keep on reading, reviewing, and waiting for the next chapter. Thank you!
