Hey everyone! Sorry it's been so long since the last update, but since Halloween is coming up, I thought I'd write a fall/Halloween inspired chapter for you all. Also, I've been thinking about introducing a new Bade baby to the story, but I'm having a hard time deciding. What do you think? This chapter is extra long to make up for the long wait! Hope you all enjoy this chapter!

"Brynn, hold my hand please." Jade pleaded with her giddy four-year-old daughter.

"Mhm." Brynn answered absentmindedly.

The young girl had made a game as they walked through the mall parking lot, she would jump from fallen leaf to fallen leaf, trying her hardest to avoid stepping on the cement.

Crunch. Crunch. Crunch. SPLASH.

She giggled as she twirled in the puddle, water splashing on the bottom of her white, lacey dress. The little dreamer was finally pulled out of her daze as she heard her mother calling her name.

"Brynn, if you're going to play around you have to keep up. I don't think daddy would be very impressed if I brought home a new dress and no little girl to wear it." Jade called, standing just a few steps ahead of her daughter.

"Sorry mommy!" Brynn smiled sheepishly as she straightened out the black ribbon that snaked around the waist of her dress.

Jade's mini mi skipped happily up to where her mother stood, reaching up to hold onto her hand.

"Mommy, do you think daddy will like my dress?"

"I think he'll like anything as long as it doesn't cost him a fortune."
Brynn giggled at her mother's response, although she didn't quite understand what she said. She began to stray away from her mother again, trying her hardest to step on every leaf they came across.

"Brynn, do you want this costume or not? Because if not, we can go get back in the ca-"
"No!" Brynn interrupted as she ran back to her mother's side, clutching onto Jade's leg.

As they made their way into the mall, Brynn made it a point to hold onto her mom's hand as tightly as she could. After all, she's so excited to get her new Halloween costume that leaving without it would crush her.

They rounded the corner and entered the Disney store, Brynn's eyes filling with excitement as she ran toward the center of the store to find her costume, Jade following close behind. As she neared the big clothing racks, she was crushed to find that her beloved costume was nowhere to be found.

"Mommy! Mommy it's gone!" Brynn began to cry, running back to her mother's side.

"Baby, you didn't even look. Stay right here, okay? I'm gonna look." Jade soothed her daughter as she ran her fingers through Brynn's hair.

Jade made sure Brynn was as close to her as she could be without putting her in the middle of the madness of the Disney store. This is what they got for waiting until two days before Halloween.

She began looking for the Alice in Wonderland costume that Brynn had gone crazy over when they looked online. As she started nearing the end of the endless amounts of princess dresses, she began to worry. Brynn would never get over it if she had to be anyone other than Alice this Halloween. Just as she was about to give up and break the news to her daughter, she spotted a mother and her child standing nearby. The mother was holding an Alice costume and a Cinderella costume, encouraging her daughter to pick between the two.

"Brynn, don't move. Mommy's got this one covered." She smirked, her daughter returning the devious grin.

"Oh, sweetie, that Cinderella dress is lovely! I think you'd be the most beautiful Cinderella, don't you?" Jade cooed, persuading the little girl to give up the Alice dress.

"But Alice is my favorite! My daddy said I look just like her." The little girl smiled, her curly blonde pigtails swinging around her face.

"Well, you're daddy's a liar." Jade smiled, just like she used to do when she would mock Tori.

The little girl's face dropped as she looked at Jade, like she was unsure of how to respond to Jade.

"I'm sorry ma'am, but please leave my daughter alone." The mother responded, stepping in between Jade and the little girl.

"Oh, I didn't mean to cause a problem. I just thought your daughter should know that she looks much more like Cinderella than she does Alice."

Since having Brynn, Jade had become very good at acting nicer than she wanted to towards people.

"She's right, mommy! I want Cinderella."

Jade smiled at the girl, taking the Alice dress out of her mother's hand.

"You made a great decision."

Jade turned and walked back to her daughter, who was waiting patiently where she had left her. Brynn's eyes grew wide as she saw what her mother was carrying.

"You found it, you found it!" She cried, racing towards her mother.

The small brunette seized the dress from her mother's hands, gasping at the beauty of her beloved dress. It was made of a light blue silky fabric, and the white apron was detailed with tiny blue sparkles, creating the outline of the Mad Hatter and Cheshire Cat.

"It's perfect. And the shoes, mommy! The shoes!"

"Way ahead of you, kid." Jade replied as she handed the black ballet flats to Brynn.

A few hours later, Jade returned home with her daughter and the newest addition to Brynn's endless supply of Disney costumes.

As soon as Brynn entered the house, she darted up the stairs to try on her beloved new dress.

"I'm sorry, have you seen my daughter?" Beck joked as he greeted his wife at the door.

"I thought she was gonna have a meltdown when we couldn't find the dang thing." Jade sighed, throwing her purse down on the table.

"She'll be the prettiest Alice anyone's ever seen." Beck smiled, bringing his wife into his loving embrace.

"Yeah, and some other little girl is gonna be the perfect little Cinderella." Jade smirked.

Just as Beck was about to ask his wife what she was talking about, Brynn could be heard yelling at the top of the stairs.

"Are you ready, daddy?" Her tiny voice echoed.

"Ready, Sassy." Beck replied, walking to the bottom of the stairs.

"Introducing, miss Alice!" Brynn said in her best announcer voice.

She walked gracefully down the stairs, her arms placed perfectly at her side just like she had seen the pageant girls do on TV.

"You're gorgeous, Little B." Beck smiled as he took her daughter's hand at the bottom of the stairs, encouraging her to do a little spin.

"All of my friends at preschool are gonna be so jealous.. Especially Miah! That gank." Brynn mumbled as she stared down at the sparkles on her dress.

Jade smirked as Beck looked at her, obviously shocked at what their daughter had just said.

"Where did she learn to call people that, Jade?"

"Oh, I don't know.. She could have picked it up anywhere. Brynn, why don't you go pick out your pajamas so you can take a bath." Jade smiled, obviously trying to change the subject.

"Okay mommy," Brynn replied as she began walking up the stairs, "Gank means Tori!"

Beck sighed as Jade laughed, it was now clear to him that his little girl must have overheard Jade talking about their friend.

"She certainly is your little girl."

"And the Other Mother sewed buttons on the kids eyes, daddy! Their eyes!" Brynn's tiny voice strained as she hurried to tell Beck all about the book they read in her preschool class.

"That's cool, baby." Beck replied, paying more attention to the many kids crossing the street than to his daughter's long, exasperated story.

Brynn sighed, crossing her arms over her long sleeved gray shirt that read "Daddy makes me happy!" in various fonts and colors. It wasn't Jade's favorite shirt, but it was only fair that Brynn get a shirt to honor her daddy after she got her "I Love Mommy" pajamas.

"No daddy, it's not cool! It's scary. And I better not meet my Other Mother, because if I do, I'm gonna poke her stupid button eyes out."

"Language, B." Beck laughed, Brynn knew she wasn't supposed to use words like "stupid".

"Yeah, yeah. Hey daddy, is it time to go trick-or-treating yet?"

"Not yet, baby doll. Remember, we have to wait until it starts getting dark outside, and it's only 1 o'clock right now."

Brynn sat for a second, thinking about what her father had just said as she sat in her purple car seat. She was clearly very impatient when it came to waiting on such exciting events, especially when she was so excited to show off her new Alice costume.

"But daddy, maybe if I start trick-or-treating now, I can beat all the yucky kids to the houses so I can get all of the good candy."

"That was a Jade statement if I ever heard one."

Brynn smiled at what her daddy said, she loved it when people said she was just like her mommy. She stared out the window of Beck's truck, watching the people pass by as she thought about everything she'd be doing that night.

"Do you think those people will trick-or-treat tonight?" She asked, pointing at a group of men in suits, who looked to be leaving work to take a lunch break.

"I don't think so, kid. They seem a little old."

"Good. That means more candy for me." She smirked; her eyes squinting just like her dad's did when he smiled.

XOXOXOXO

As the sun started to go down, Brynn's excitement rose with every passing second. Somehow, her young parents had kept her entertained to the best of their ability, but there was no use in trying to control her when she noticed that it was getting dark.

"It's time, it's time, it's time, it's time!" Brynn squealed as she jumped up and down on her bed.

"Well I thought about helping you get dressed, but since you're moving faster than I want to deal with, you can dress yourself." Jade said as she tossed Brynn's costume on the bed.

"Okay, okay, okay, okay, okay!" Brynn continued to squeal.

"I wonder why our daughter is so excited?"

"Very funny, daddy. Now go get my candy bag so I can collect all candy I can carry!"

Beck threw his hands up in surrender as he laughed; Brynn was just as demanding as Jade at times.

Brynn rushed to tear her clothes off and replace them with her Alice costume, she was ecstatic to show everyone in the city how pretty she looked in her new dress. Although Brynn was more than old enough to dress herself, she seemed to be so excited that she didn't even notice that her dress was on backwards.

"Brynn, baby, slow down. Everyone is gonna think you're the silliest Alice in the world is you go out with your dress on backwards." Jade said, pulling her daughter towards her so she could help fix the mishap.

Brynn giggled quietly as she looked down to find that she was, in fact, wearing her dress backwards. Just as Jade helped her daughter put the dress on the right way, Beck walked into the room carrying Brynn's pumpkin bag.

"Oh, thank you daddy!" Brynn screamed, running towards her father and jumping into his arms.

"Did you get her a pair of pajamas to wear at Cat's Halloween party later tonight?"

"Yes, my love." Beck responded, Brynn resting her head on his shoulder as she waited patiently for her parents to take her out.

"Can we go now? I won't wear stinky pajamas tonight or ever again. I'm never taking my new dress off!"

Brynn's parent's laughed as they prepared to leave the house; Brynn bouncing excitedly in Beck's arms every step of the way.

Finally, the young couple took their daughter outside, constantly having to stop and remind her not to run too far ahead of them. It was as if Brynn has never experienced Halloween before, she was so excited to show the world her new Alice dress.

Brynn ran right up to her neighbors house, ringing the door bell and rocking back and forth on her feet with excitement. When the woman answered the door, she gasped at how cute Brynn was, earning a sweet smile from the small girl.

"Oh, Brynn! You make the most lovely Alice!" The woman cooed. She had babysat Brynn a few times and knew this would thrill her.

"Thank you, Mrs. Null. It's my most favoritest dress now!" She shrieked as she did a spin.

"Well, I can certainly see why. Happy Halloween, Miss Alice."

Brynn smiled as Mrs. Null placed a hand full of candy into her bag, promptly turning on her heels and running back to her parents.

"She said I am the most prettiest Alice! And she gave me lots of candy! Come on mommy, come on daddy! Let's go, let's go, let's go!" She yelled as she pulled on her father's hand.

The night went on like this for quite a while, Brynn showing off her dress and earning a few extra pieces of candy from the men and women for being so sweet and personable. She always captured people's attention with her big personality, and tonight was no exception. After an hour, Brynn began to slow down and become tired, but refused to stop trick-or-treating. Her bag was already filled to the very top with candy, but she insisted that she had more room.

"Baby, don't you want to go to Cat's party?" Beck pleaded.

"No, I want candy! Now let's go, mister!" Brynn responded from her spot on her father's shoulders. She had admitted to being tired enough to have someone carry her, but said she would never stop trick-or-treating.

"You know, Brynn, I think Cat has an extra special bag of candy for you."

Brynn's eyes lit up as she listened to what her mother said.

"Really? Daddy, what are we doing here! Take me to the car!"

Beck handed his daughter over to Jade, slightly tired of carrying a very bouncy four-year-old all over the neighborhood.

"You know, you really are the prettiest little Alice." Jade said, admiring her daughter's porcelain face.

Brynn smiled and rested her head on her mother's shoulder, hugging her even tighter.

As they got nearer and nearer to their house, Jade noticed that Brynn seemed to get heavier and heavier. It didn't take long for the young couple to realize that their daughter had fallen asleep, exhausted form the day's excitement. They decided to head on to Cat's party anyways, even if it was just to stop in and say hello.

"Mommy?" Brynn asked groggily as Jade strapped her into the carseat.

"Yes baby, I'm right here. We're going to Cat's house, go back to sleep."

Brynn nodded and closed her eyes as Jade covered the little girl with her beloved blankie. As soon as they were all in the car, they started off on the short journey to cat's house, which took 10 minutes longer tonight due to the amount of trick-or-treaters on the road. It didn't take long from Brynn to wake up from all of the noise.

"Daddy, can you guess what I'm eating right now?" Brynn questioned sarcastically.

"Hmm, I don't know, baby."

"Nothing. And what should I be eating?"

"Candy." Beck laughed, his daughter could come up with the cleverest sayings at times.

Jade handed the bright blue, plastic pumpkin full of candy back to Brynn and returned to her conversation with Beck. Little did they know that Brynn was sitting in the backseat, devouring as much candy as her little body could handle.

XOXOXOXO

The Oliver's pulled up to Cat's house, which was decked out in every Halloween decoration imaginable. Cutesy decorations, that is. Cat wasn't one to enjoy the spooky aspect of Halloween.

"Um, Beck? Did you know that our daughter can eat her weight in candy like a champion?" Jade questioned when she saw just how much candy her daughter had eaten.

Brynn giggled uncontrollably as Jade lifted her out of her seat, a layer of chocolate lining her mouth.

"Hey, she also wears a chocolate mustache pretty well." Beck said, wiping his daughter's mouth off with his thumb.

Brynn wiggled her way out of her mother's arms and ran up to the door, ringing the bell over and over again once she got there.

"Happy Halloween, baby Jade!" Cat smiled as she opened the door.

"My name is Brynn, not baby Jade!" Brynn huffed as she ran past Cat and into the house.

"I apologize; our daughter is on a sugar high. The sugar coma is expected to come soon." Beck said, following Brynn into the house.

Inside the house, all of the old gang was seated on the couch. Brynn ran excitedly to her favorite uncle Andre as her parents greeted Cat.

"Uncle Andre! I just ate my weight in candy! And the sugar coma will be here soon!" She yelled, bouncing on his lap.

"I can see that in your wild eyes, little Bade."

Brynn giggled at what Andre called her, she never knew what "Bade" meant, but he always called her little Bade.

The room was lit by black lights and Cat has set up a karaoke machine in front of the TV, waiting for any of their talented friends to get up and sing. Trina was currently trying to sing "Take a Hint" and failing miserably.

"Well, I can see nothing has changed. Trina's still talentless and Tori's still a gank." Jade sighed, taking a seat next to Andre.

"I resent that." Tori chimed in.

"Daddy! Did you know that gank means Tori? I think it means Miah too. Look, I can do a spin!" Brynn rambled on as she twirled in circles in front of everyone.

"I see your daughter's still just as charming as ever."

"Yeah well, I just taught her to tell the difference between a good friend and a boyfriend stealing gank." Jade smirked at Tori.

Tori threw her hands up in defeat, "That was years ago! And you're married to him, AND you had his daughter!"

Jade just smirked in response, all she wanted was to hear Tori talk in her high pitched, squeaky voice as she defended herself.

"Oh, Brenna, you are just too cute!" Trina cooed as she pinched Brynn's cheeks.

"My name is Brynn. Mommy! Make her stop!" Brynn yelled as she ran to her mother, throwing herself onto Jade's lap and burying her face in her hair.

"Trina, stop harassing my kid."

"Oh, no problem.. Beck, how are you? You're just as handsome as ever! Brennie looks just like you, you know." Trina said flirtatiously as she sat on Beck's lap, just like she used to.

"Um, yeah.. Her name's still Brynn, and I'm still married."

"My daddy!" Brynn yelled, pushing Trina off her father's lap.

Jade smirked at Trina as Brynn scowled at her, making her point by running to sit on her father's lap.

Everyone took turns singing karaoke, some singing old high school favorites and other's singing songs from their newest albums. Brynn continued to bounce from person to person, rambling on and on about her new dress and the stories that her teacher had read to her at school that day. It wasn't unlike Brynn to engage with everyone in a conversation, but it was strange for her to talk constantly.

"Little Terror Oliver, don't you want to put on your pajamas now and sit with mommy?" Jade asked, trying her hardest not to beg Brynn to sit down and shut up.

"Never! I'm going to wear my Alice dress for the rest of forever. I want to sing LA Boyz!" She jumped up and down.

"Will you calm down if you get to sing?"

Brynn nodded her head enthusiastically as Cat set up the karaoke machine for her. Brynn knew all of the words to her parent's old songs, and she took every opportunity she had to show it off.

Cat handed the microphone to Brynn as she swayed back in forth in place, excited to have everyone hear her sing. She had never been musically trained, she was four after all, but it was clear that she had a natural talent for this type of thing.

She began to sing in her tiny, raspy voice as her parent's friends watched, smiling enthusiastically as Brynn began to dance around to the music. Although she was only four, and her voice was no where near perfect, everyone could tell that she was Beck and Jade's daughter; she was clearly talented just like they were.

One song turned into two, two turned into three, and by the end of the night Brynn had sang every single one of her parent's old songs. Although Beck and Jade continued to beg Brynn to come sit wit them, she refused and sang just as long as she could. It didn't take long for her little body to tire out though, and eventually she laid down right where she was and fell asleep, microphone in hand. It took a few minutes for everyone to notice, but once they did, no one could stop laughing. Beck gently picked up his little girl, admiring the features on her sleeping face. Sweet Brynn was finally all tired out after her exciting Halloween day, and it couldn't have gone any better.
