"Oh excuse me for worrying about whether or not my husband is in love with his co-star. You spend more time with her than you do with us anyways!" Jade's voice echoed through the halls of the now still house.

Brynn flinched from behind the door to her parent's room, which stood closed in front of her. Beck and Jade had been fighting for a while now, voices rising with each passing second. Brynn knew better than to stand by and listen, but for some reason she just couldn't turn away.

"Jade. She is my co-star. We work long hours. I am forced to be around her. You're acting just like you did back in high school." Beck replied, his voice much quieter than Jade's.

Jade suddenly slammed her fist down on the desk, growing more and more upset with every word out of Beck's mouth. It was true; she was getting jealous over nothing. After all, Beck was married to her, not his gorgeous, Barbie replica co-star.

She quickly brushed past him and out of the room, without stopping to notice the teary eyed little girl standing next to the door.

Beck sighed, holding his head in his hands. It had been years since Jade has a jealous flare like this, and he had forgotten how to handle it.

"Daddy?" He heard a small, weak voice beside him.

Beck looked up, alarmed at the sound of Brynn's voice. He had somehow forgotten that she was there and could have heard the whole thing. Guilt instantly washed over him as he stared into his daughter's teary eyes.

"Do you and mommy still love each other?" She questioned; her lip quivering as she did so.

"Yes, baby. I'm sorry." Beck sighed, picking up his fragile daughter.

Brynn sighed, tears spilling from her eyes as she rested her head on her father's shoulder. It wasn't uncommon for Brynn to hear her parents fight from time to time, after all, Jade was notorious for picking fights over the small things. This time was different though, at the end of every other fight she was always sure that her mommy and daddy loved each other, as she would see them cuddled up on the couch just minutes later and she would run and jump on them, giggling the entire way. This had been the first time that Brynn had heard her parent's take it to this level, their voices raising more than she had ever heard.

Beck carried Brynn into his room, placing her down on the bed and cuddling up beside her.

"Brynn, please don't cry, okay?" He pleaded with her, using his thumbs to wipe the tears that had fallen down her face.

Brynn only sniffled in response, more tears falling from her eyes. She had heard kids at preschool talk about how their parents fought and eventually left eachother, and she was terrified that it would happen to her parents.

Beck took her into his arms, allowing her to bury her face in the crook of his neck. He sang softly to her as he rubbed small circles on her back, something he knew to be very soothing to his daughter. He was angry with himself, and with Jade, for not realizing that Brynn could hear every word they said, more than likely terrified by the anger portrayed in their voices.

Suddenly, the sound of the front door slamming shut could be heard throughout the house, the sound of a car starting up followed soon after.

"It's okay, baby. Don't worry, okay? We're all okay." He tried his hardest to console her.

Brynn pulled back from her father, her blue-green eyes now staring into his brown ones. Her arms remained wrapped around his neck, ready to cuddle back up to him at any given moment.

"Is mommy running away?" She whispered.

"No baby girl, she'll come back. She loves you too much to ever leave you like that." He sighed. The more he thought about his daughter's question, he almost wanted to smile. His daughter's perspective on what was happening almost brought a lighthearted tone to the situation.

"Us. She loves us." Brynn said

"Yes, she does. Don't worry about it, okay? We love each other and we love you.. So much, Brynn." He replied, his voice barely above a whisper. He kissed his daughter's forehead and pulled her closer to his embrace.

They sat in silence for a few moments, enjoying the comfort of being together. Brynn began to play with the necklace that hung from her father's neck, the necklace that was identical to the one her mother wore. The small girl took comfort in this item, to her it was a sign that they'd always be together. After a while, Beck began to hum quietly and Brynn looked up at him when she realized what song it was.

"I know that song." She smiled at him, the worry he once saw in her eyes quickly dissipating.

"Oh yeah? What is it?"

"Home, silly! That's the song mommy plays when you're gone." She said, her voice barely above a whisper as she remembered the times she and Jade would dance around the kitchen together.

"She does?"

"Mhm." The tiny girl nodded, "It makes her feel not so sad when you're gone for a long time."

Beck smiled, he knew Jade missed him when he was gone, though she never cared to admit it. That was the thing about Jade; she wasn't one to admit her feelings. It was something that Beck had grown accustomed to, not letting it bother him as much as it did in high school. He knew that if she didn't care, she wouldn't be with him; and that was enough for him.

"Let me go home, I'm just too far from where you are, I wanna go home.." Brynn sang quietly in her sweet, raspy voice.

"And I feel just like I'm living someone else's life, it's like I've just stepped outside when everything was going right." Beck sang the next line as Brynn smiled at him, forgetting everything that had once been worrying her.

The two of them continued to sing line after line together, until Beck scooped Brynn up and held her above him, her shrieks erupting through the silent house. "Daddy, stop it!" She giggled, her eyes sparkling much like her mothers.

"Stop what? What am I doing?" Beck pretended to be confused as he held his daughter up and tickled her.

"Tickling me!" She cackled, the words coming out broken up between her laughs.

"I don't know what you're talking about, Brynn." He continued to play along, making her laugh even harder.

Brynn began kicking her legs, causing Beck to break his serious face and begin laughing with her, gently dropping her on the bed beside him.

"Well isn't that cute." A familiar voice sounded through the room as someone stepped through the doorway.

"Mommy!" Brynn shrieked, running to the edge of the bed and jumping into Jade's arms.

"Hi baby." Jade smiled, catching her daughter as she smiled at her lovingly.

"Didn't take you long to come back." Beck smirked, sitting up on the bed.

"I started the car and sat there, then came back inside while you two were singing; by the way you are such a sap." She smirked.

"Oh I'm the sap? Which one of us plays Home when they miss their spouse?"

Jade blushed, turning her attention to Brynn, who was smiling up at her. "Did you tell daddy about our secret?"

"I did." Brynn giggled as she nodded her head.

"Whatever." Jade shrugged, placing Brynn down on the bed. "At least I don't call you all the time and tell you how much I miss you like the biggest sap alive."

"Better to be calling you than to be spending time with that costar I'm in love with." Beck smirked, knowing it would get Jade to stop making fun of him. She shot him a glare, one that said "If you don't stop talking, I'm going to rip your head off". He only smiled as Jade lifted her daughter back into her arms and carried her out of the room.

"Where are you going?" He called after them, the smile never leaving his face.

"Places!" He heard Brynn respond, mimicking her mother's go-to response.

Hey guys! I don't know about this one, but I figured I owe you something. After all of the Jade/Brynn loving, I figured you all deserved some Beck/Brynn too. As for the people that are asking for another Bade baby – I'm thinking about it! In fact, a lot of my story ideas have to do with another baby, but if I do that I'll have to change the title and everything. It's most likely going to be happening very soon, I'm just being extremely indecisive about it right now! What do you want them to have, a boy or a girl? Since my updates are far and few between these days (which I do feel bad about), you all should check out vanillaandtoothpaste's stories. She's amazing! Thanks again for the reviews, much love!
