Happy Reading and may the story be ever in your favour... Shit wrong show... Ah well role with it!

Carol had never been happier in her whole life than she was right now. Daryl loved her. She couldn't believe it, he actually loved her, of all people he could have, he chose to love her. The thought brought a huge smile to her face. The best part though, was that he told her before she could tell him. In Carol's head, she always imagined it would be her to tell him first, and that thought had been amazing. But because he had told her first, had made it perfect beyond her wildest dreams.

Daryl and Carol had fallen asleep in his cell. With her head resting sweetly on his chest, his arm wrapped around her waist, as the other entangled itself in her hair. Carol felt Daryl stir underneath her, so she looked up at his face to him staring down at hers. She saw a small smile tug at the corners of his mouth, and she smiled back slightly at him and shimmied up to place a gentle kiss on his cheek.

"Good morning" She said to him sweetly as she rested her head on his shoulder. He gave off a noise which was half way between a grunt and a moan, as a response and it was good enough for her. Timidly she told him the news she'd been dreading all week. "I'm going on a run today." Carol hadn't told him about her going on the run today with Rick. She didn't want him to worry, but mainly she didn't want to give him any time to try stop her, so she waited until the day she was leaving to tell him.

The silence was so thick that Carol swore you could cut it with a knife. She had heard his breath hitch slightly when she told him, but other than that he hadn't given her any type of reaction. Not that she wanted him to flip and start shouting at her, more for him to just tell her to 'stay safe' like they used to do.

Daryl finally broke the silence "Who ya goin' with?" Carol tried not to smile a little, he wasn't going to stop her, not when he knew who she was going with.

"I'm going with Rick, just for some medical supplies out of a few houses and the small pharmacy in the town. Just a small run really." She hoped that by telling him it was only a small run that it would calm him down. Carol was right in saying so.

"M'kay, but if ya don't come back 'm gunna have Ricks head sitting right..." Daryl dragged out his sentence before pointing at the wall to the right of him, "there, think it would make a nice bit of room decor." Carol started to giggle uncontrollably at his comment. The thought of Ricks head on a wooden board was hilarious. She saw Daryl smile when she began to laugh at his little joke and that warmed her heart.

"Can I take that as a 'yes you can go but just don't die Carol' kind of thing?" She winked up at him as he sighed at her before slowly nodding his head in agreement. She squealed a little bit before kissing his cheek again. Daryl chuckled before slowly sliding her head off his shoulder and standing up. Carol just watched him get dressed as she snuggled deeper into the sheets, Daryl gave her a skeptical look.

"If yer goin on this run yer gunna have ta get up." Carol moaned in protest before begrudgingly hauling herself out of bed, she quickly pulled on a new shirt, not wanting to show too many of her scars, before walking out of Daryl's cell and into the kitchen. She grabbed a couple of energy bars, a few slices of dried meat and walked back to his cell. Carol found him sitting on the edge of the bed chewing at the end of his thumb, he looked up at her and patted the spot on his bed next to him. Carol obediently sat and handed him his share of the dried meat and one of the energy bars. Daryl mumbled a thanks before ripping open his bar and eating it. She took that as a hint that he was thinking and didn't want to talk, so she slowly start to chew on the meat.

After 5 minutes of silent eating Carol starting to grow uneasy, she knew Daryl wasn't one for conversation, but when she had dropped such a bomb on him she knew the silence wasn't the usual, comfortable, type. Finally she reached her breaking point and couldn't take the silence anymore.

"What's wrong Daryl? I know you would rather I didn't go on this run, but fact is I'm the only other one able to go, plus I haven't been on a run in a month or so anyways. So just accept the fact and please don't be mad at me. I share it when your mad at me. Just please tell me your not mad."

When Carol finished her rant Daryl just turned his head and looked at her with a blank expression, she felt her heart reach the brink of breaking, thinking he was mad with her. Then out of nowhere, there was a sudden twinkle in his eyes, and before Carol could react Daryl has his hands on either side of her head and pulled her into a very sweet and passionate kiss, which quickly turned extremely heated and desperate, with small nips and demanding tongues. Daryl finally pulled away from her to allow both of them to catch their breaths, his forehead resting on top of hers. A smile ghosted over his lips as a half grunt came out of him. "'M not mad. I was eatin' woman. Sheesh." Daryl made a very dramatic hand gesture at her and Carol playfully punched his arm before giggling. Daryl grabbed onto his arm where she had hit him and pretended to be in pain from her assault, which just caused her to laugh harder.

Carol and Daryl ended up lying on his bed, talking about memories from their old lives. It was mainly Carol who talked and Daryl just listened, but she didn't mind at all, she knew enough to know that he had a bad childhood, so she couldn't blame him for not wanting to share all the pain and misery of his young life, where happy ones are meant to go. Eventually Rick came in though to tell she had to leave to go on their run, she stood up and headed to the door, but not before Daryl pulled her down for one more kiss and said their signature "Stay safe" in a soft voice. She smiled at him, "Nine lives remember?" And with that, she left the safety of the prison walls, cells, but more importantly, Daryl's arms.

A/N: Hehe I sorta brought the run idea where Rick leaves Carol behind into this, but he's not going to ditch her because that minor fact of Carol killing part of the group, didn't happen :)

I hope you enjoyed this chapter and feel free to review.
