Dum Dum DumDum Dum Dum DumDum! It's the moment we've all been waiting for!

Mr. and Mrs. Edward Cullen request the pleasure of your company at the marriage of their daughter, Renesmee Carlie Cullen to Jacob Ephraim Black...

Chapter 28: I (Finally) Do

Renesmee's chocolate brown eyes fluttered open. She stretched and looked about her room. Rare sunlight streamed in through the window, dancing over every knickknack she'd collected throughout the years. She smiled. It was amazing how four walls could hold so many memories. How strange and exciting it was to be waking up in this room for the last time. Renesmee sighed happily. "I'm getting married today."

Her grin grew wider. "I'm getting married today," she said a bit louder, loving how it sounded. She laughed. Untangling herself from the blankets, she stood and began jumping up and down on her bed. "I'm getting married today!" she shouted. "I'm getting married today! I'm going to be Mrs. Jacob Black! I'm getting married today!"

She heard someone laugh from the doorway. Turning, she saw Bella entering the room. "Happy Wedding Day!"

"Thanks Mom," Renesmee laughed, hopping off the bed and giving her mother a hug.

"Seth came by this morning," Bella said, handing her daughter an envelope. "He brought this from Jacob."

Renesmee eagerly took the letter and ripped it open.

"Breakfast is ready downstairs whenever you want it," Bella chuckled, seeing that Renesmee was already engrossed in the letter from her fiancé, and shutting the door behind her.

"My Nessie,

You know I'm not very good with words. But, well, I have to try. There's just too much that's happened tonight. Yeah, I'm writing this at about four in the morning, after William was born, after I talked with Rebecca, and after finding out that in a round about way, I now have to share my nieces with Jasper and the Pixie. I should probably go to sleep, but I can't. Knowing this is my last night without you beside me has me begging for the sun to rise. Y'know what? Actually, now that I think about it, there's too much that's happened over the past ten years, not just tonight. It's been a long road that led me to you, Ness. One that I was so afraid I'd be traveling alone. I was so lost. For a really long time. And every time I thought I had things figured out, something else knocked me back down. Until I saw you. This perfect, tiny little bundle in Blondie's arms. And suddenly everything made sense. All the pain was worth it because it led me to you. With one look you healed me. I know other people may not understand it. Hell, I'm not sure I've ever even understood it myself. But I don't care. Because I know how I feel about you. That's the one thing that I have always been sure of. I love you. You are my life. I'm home when I'm with you. I hope I've made you as happy as you've made me. In less than 24 hours, we'll promise to spend the rest of our lives together, even though I've always known I'd never be able to love anyone else but you. You've held my heart since the day you were born. I love you, Renesmee Cullen.

I'll see you at the altar,

Jake"

"Good morning!" Renesmee called, bounding into the kitchen with a bright smile and joining Esme and Bella at the table. "Where is everybody?"

"Alice and Rose went to get last minute supplies," Esme smiled.

Renesmee rolled her eyes. "Great."

"Actually, I had better go make sure Jasper and Emmett haven't destroyed anything. Leaving those two alone never ends well," Esme chuckled, kissing Bella and Renesmee atop the head as she headed for the door. "I'll see you later."

"Bye!" Renesmee called after her.

"Are you hungry?" Bella asked her daughter. "Do you want some coffee?"

"Yes, actually. And no, I'm plenty awake today!"

Right on cue, Edward appeared, setting a plate of eggs before Renesmee.

She grinned. "Thank you!"

He sat down between her and Bella, watching her eat and marveling that this young woman before him was in fact his daughter. Suddenly, he saw her as a little girl again. Her feet barely reached the floor, and she swung her legs back and forth impatiently. Her bronze curls fell about her shoulders, and perched on top of her head was her Pretty Pretty Princess crown. She smiled up at him and giggled.

Renesmee noticed her father's stare and blushed, her cheeks coloring just as Bella's used to. "What?" she laughed lightly.

"Nothing, I just," he sighed, rubbing his hand over the back of his neck. He had a bad feeling today was going to be a very long day. "I can't believe my baby girl's getting married."

Renesmee smiled, taking his hand and giving it a gentle squeeze. "I'll always be your little girl, Daddy."

Edward smiled back at her. "I know."

Reaching for Bella's hand, Edward did the same, and the little family connected their circle. "Before things get really crazy today," Renesmee said, looking into the golden eyes of her parents, "I just want to thank you both. I am the luckiest girl in the world. I know life hasn't always been easy for us, but you guys have always been there for me. I've grown up with more love and support than I know what to do with. So, thank you. And I meant what I said. I'll always be your little girl. I love you guys."

Not trusting his voice, Edward kissed her hand and gave it a squeeze. Bella placed her hand against her daughter's cheek. "We love you too. You've made us so very happy, Renesmee. We couldn't have asked for a better daughter."

A loud rapping at their front door interrupted their family moment. Edward cleared his throat. "Looks like the craziness is going to start early."

"I am not early," Alice snapped when he opened the door. "Actually, I let her sleep in." She and Rosalie entered the cottage and hugged their niece. "Good morning Beautiful!"

"Good morning, Auntie," Renesmee laughed. "Although I guess it's almost noon."

Alice groaned. "We've wasted so much time! Rose, get her upstairs. Edward, dearest brother... Get out. This is now bride central and you are banished until I say otherwise."

"Alright, fine," he chuckled. He kissed his wife goodbye, and pecked his daughter's cheek. "I'll see you two later."

"Bye Daddy," Renesmee called after him.

"Ugh, I thought he'd never leave," Alice groaned. She clicked a button on her iPod and Walking On Sunshine began to play. "Let's get to it!"

A few hours and a couple dozen wedding themed songs later, her makeup was done and half of her bronze curls pinned back, a few hanging loose and brushing her cheeks. Rosalie squeezed her niece's shoulders. "You're beautiful, Princess."

"Wait!" Alice chimed. "There's one more thing before you put on your dress!"

Bella came to sit beside her daughter at the vanity table, holding a black velvet box. "When I married your dad, my mom and Charlie gave me this," she said, opening the box and revealing a hair comb encrusted with sparkling diamonds and sapphires. Renesmee gasped. "It was my something old and something blue. It used to belong to your great-grandma Swan." Renesmee turned so Bella could place the comb in her hair. "My mom told me that this was my first family heirloom," she continued. "Something that I could pass down to my daughter, and to her daughter. But, at that point, I already knew that I would become a vampire. I never imagined... I never dreamed that I would be so blessed as to have a daughter of my own. That I really would get to pass this down to her, and watch her marry the most wonderful man. I'm so proud of you. I love you so much."

Renesmee had tears in her eyes. "I love you too, Mom," she sniffed, wrapping her arms around Bella. "Thank you. It's really beautiful."

"You're welcome," Bella said, placing a kiss in her daughter's hair. "Now, how about we get you into that dress?"

Renesmee beamed as Alice brought the strapless, a-line, long lace gown into the room. She and Rosalie were already dressed in their burgundy bridesmaid dresses, and Bella was in her slate grey mother of the bride dress. Renesmee slipped into the white dress, Rosalie doing up the corset back, and turned to look in the full length mirror. "Oh my gosh," she breathed.

"Oh Sweetheart," Bella sighed. "You are so beautiful."

Alice agreed. "Gorgeous!"

"Stunning, Princess," Rosalie nodded with a smile. "That is one lucky dog."

Renesmee was still looking in the mirror, unable to quite believe that the woman staring back at her was, in fact, her! "I can't believe this day is finally here," she said softly. She grinned, turning to face her mother and aunts. "I'm getting married!"

"Yes you are!" Alice squealed, and they all fell into a hug.

There was a knock at the door. Alice beamed and Bella opened it to reveal Edward all dressed up in a black tuxedo. A smile smile tugged at the corner of his lips, and he shook his head slightly when he laid eyes on his daughter. "You are so beautiful," he said, echoing his wife's earlier sentiment as he stepped into the room.

Renesmee could feel herself blushing. "Thanks Daddy. You don't look half bad yourself, y'know."

"Well thank you," he said, kissing her cheek. "I know your mother already gave you something, but I have a gift as well." Edward reached into his pocket and pulled out a string of pearls, fastening them around her daughter's neck. "They belonged to my mother, Elizabeth Masen. You remind me of her, you know. She would have been proud to have you wear them on your wedding day."

"They're perfect," Renesmee said, touching the antique necklace fondly, hugging her father close, closing her eyes and enjoying one of her last moments as Renesmee Cullen. "Thank you," she whispered. "For everything."

"Ok! Everyone is waiting downstairs," Alice announced, bounding back into the room. "Let's get this show on the road!"

**J/N**

By the time the Cullen family arrived at First Beach, everything was already set up. Rows of beautifully carved dark wood chairs, an aisle runner made of white and burgundy rose petals to match Renesmee's bouquet, and a small, elegant pavilion at the end where she and Jacob would say their vows at sunset.

"Are you ready?" Edward asked.

Renesmee took a deep breath and nodded. "Are you?"

"Honestly, no," he chuckled. "But that's my prerogative as a father." He offered her his arm. She took it, standing on her toes to kiss his cheek. "I do think that you and Jacob will be very happy though, Sweetheart. I meant what I said. This, being able to walk you down the aisle, is the biggest honor of my life."

Renesmee smiled as they began their walk to where the ceremony would take place. "Don't let me fall, Dad."

Edward gave the hand that rested on his arm a squeeze. "Never."

Music started once they reached the aisle. Soft piano notes floated gently on the breeze. Renesmee's Wedding, the piece her father had written after finding out about her and Jacob's engagement, alerted the guests to the bride's presence. Everyone turned to look at them as Edward slowly led his daughter down the aisle. Renesmee's heart picked up speed. She was sure everyone, perhaps even Charlie, could hear it pounding. A blush creeped into her cheeks and she quickly glanced down, looking at her father's polished black shoes and her own sparkling straps and red-painted toes. She listened to her father's composition, trying to calm herself and regain some sort of control. Taking a deep breath, she looked up. She saw him waiting for her. And nothing else mattered. Nothing but him. My Jacob.

When Jacob saw Renesmee walking towards him, the setting sun framing her silhouette, he all but forgot how to breathe. He couldn't believe how beautiful she looked. All day he had been imagining this very moment, but nothing could prepare him for this. As she drew ever nearer, tears began to prick his eyes. Never did he dare believe he could ever be this happy. But there she was, a walking dream, his love, his life, his everything. And suddenly, she was standing right before him.

The music stopped and the officiant cleared his throat. "Who gives this woman to this man in marriage?"

The voice was too familiar. Renesmee looked toward the officiant and her jaw nearly dropped. Emmett! He smirked and winked at her. "Surprise, Princess!"

The guests laughed, as did Renesmee and Jacob. She had completely forgotten Emmett had been planning a surprise for her. And what a surprise it was! "As I was saying," Emmett continued. "Who gives this woman to this man in marriage?"

Edward smiled proudly. "Her mother and I." Shaking Jacob's hand and kissing Renesmee's cheek, he handed his daughter off to his worst enemy turned son-in-law.

"Dear friends and family," Emmett said once Edward had taken his seat beside Bella, "welcome to what I'm sure will be the wedding of the century. We're here today to celebrate the marriage of Renesmee Carlie Cullen and Jacob Ephraim Black. Their love was unexpected, to say the least. And it hasn't been easy, that's for damn sure. But despite the odds, they've survived every curveball life has thrown at them, and have come out stronger for it. In entering into a marriage, the two become one. But today, not only will Jacob and Renesmee come together as one, but so will their families. Today, you both begin the greatest adventure of your lives. And Jacob, just one last reminder that if you ever hurt her, I will kick your ass."

Everyone laughed again, although Jacob knew there was some truth in it.

"Now that that's settled, Jacob and Renesmee will say their vows," Emmett said, his voice booming, a silly, proud grin on his face as he beamed at his niece.

Renesmee looked up at Jacob, his hands cradling her own. She was overcome with love. She smiled at him, this man who held her heart. The one she'd spend the rest of eternity with. "I, Renesmee, take you, Jacob, as my one true love, my husband," she said, her voice trembling, and his thumb gently wiping away a happy tear that cascaded down her cheek. "I promise to love you more each day than I did the day before. I will trust you and respect you, laugh with you and cry with you, loving you faithfully through good times and bad, regardless of the obstacles we may face together. I give you my hand, my heart, and my love, from this day forward, forever and always."

"I, Jacob, take you, Renesmee, to be my one true love, my wife. I promise to always be there for you. To be your strength when this world becomes too much to bear. I will honor and respect you, laugh and cry with you, loving you faithfully through good times and bad, regardless of the obstacles we face together." Jacob stopped to recollect himself. He'd started out strong, but salty tears were beginning to fill his eyes, and more than once his voice nearly broke. Renesmee squeezed his hands and smiled at him encouragingly. He smiled back, continuing with his vow, "I give you my hand, my heart, and my love, from this day forward, forever and always."

"May we have the rings?" Emmett asked. Seth stepped forward and gave Jacob Renesmee's ring, and Rebecca gave Renesmee Jacob's. As Rachel had only given birth to William the night before, Jacob and Renesmee had asked Rebecca to be the matron of honor.

Jacob took Renesmee's slender white hand in his. "Renesmee," he said softly, "I give you this ring as a symbol of my love. As it encircles your finger, may it remind you always that you are surrounded by my enduring love forever." He slid the gold band onto her finger, right next to her engagement ring.

"Jacob," she smiled through the tears that fell softly down her cheeks. "I give you this ring as a symbol of my love. As it encircles your finger, may it remind you always that you are surrounded by my enduring love forever." She then slid his own golden ring into place on his left hand.

"And now, by the power vested in me by some guy on the internet, I hereby pronounce you husband and wife," Emmett declared. Then he winked at his niece and new nephew. "What are you waiting for? Kiss her."

Jacob smiled, placing a hand against Renesmee's cheek. "Kwopkalawo'li," he whispered huskily.

Renesmee smiled back. "Kwopkalawo'li."

Then his lips were on hers, sealing their love with a kiss.

"It is my pleasure to present to you for the very first time, Mr. and Mrs. Jacob Black."
