Author's Notes: HOW AWESOME WAS THE DAY OF THE DOCTOR! EVERY DOCTOR WAS IN IT! ESPECIALLY NINE! AND TWELVE! I also watched An Adventure In Space And Time and I dare say I broke down and shed tears when William Hartnell saw Matt Smith. I CRIED THERE! IT WAS SO BEAUTIFUL AND I AM MAN ENOUGH TO ADMIT IT! And now, by this time next month, Matt Smith will have regenerated to Peter Capaldi.

But lets get back to my story. I know that Batman didn't have any Bat-prefixes for his equipments nor did he call the Trubler Batmobile, but I just went, what the heck!? Let's do it! Also as the title of this chapter refers to, Scarecrow's fear toxin also had a memory jogging effect on the Impossible Girl, who is beginning to recall who she is and why she is here.

And a cameo from a character from DC Comics here in the beginning and a mention of a certain SWAT-officer from Batman: Year One and Arkham Origins.

RUN YOU CLEVER BOY…

I don't know where I am…

Arkham Asylum was surrounded by police officers, every one of them pointing their weapons at doors and windows, any possible exit that Batman could have used to escape. But still no one had been brave enough to go in there yet.

''What are we waiting for?'' Detective Flass asked from an officer Bullock as he arrived to the scene with Sergeant Gordon.

''Back up,'' was Bullock's response.

''Back up?'' Gordon asked, after a few seconds of assessing officer Bullock's answer.

''Batman's in there,'' Bullock said bluntly. ''SWAT's on the way, but if you wanna go now, we'll be right behind you.''

''SWAT's on the way,'' Flass snorted out of his mouth and took his place behind the other officers.

Gordon did the exact opposite. He loaded his sidearm and began to jog towards the Asylum's entrance. All the other officers just looked from behind him confused of his actions. SWAT. All that meant in GCPD was Brendan and his damn bloodhounds. Just last week they had been called to handle a situation at Robinson Park for what had turned out to be a jaywalker going to a protest and that had then turned into an all-out bloodbath when the SWAT arrived. That had better not happen in here.

It feels like I'm breaking into million pieces and there is only one thing I remember…

Gordon had walked through the entrance corridor and was in the stairwell. He had only taken a few steps up until he was covered in blackness and felt being ascending in uncontrollable speed. When the blackness was uncovered, Gordon saw Batman and Doctor Smith, kneeled over two unconscious, twitching women. He recognized other one as the acting Gotham City District Attorney Rachel Dawes and assumed the younger one to be Doctor Smith's assistant.

''What happened to them?'' Gordon asked focusing what he saw important.

''Crane poisoned them with a psychotic hallucinogen,'' Batman growled as the answer. ''A panic inducing toxin Doctor Smith calls the Nightmare Child.''

''I'll take them down to the medics,'' Gordon said ready to take Dawes to carry, but was stopped by Doctor Smith.

''The medics can't help them, but he can,'' Doctor Smith told, nodding his head towards Batman and showed Gordon something that looked like a blue penlight. ''I just tested his blood work and he was poisoned with the same thing earlier this week and is now better thanks to an antidote he made.''

Batman looked down to where he had pulled Gordon and saw the SWAT-team approaching. He pushed something under his right heel and a small high pinched noise began to wheeze around the room.

''Get them downstairs, meet me in the alley on the Narrows side.''

''What is that?'' Gordon asked questioning the noise.

''Back up,'' Batman growled back, looking down to advancing SWAT-team.

''If you are trying to call a swarm of bats here, that signal is too weak,'' Doctor Smith said pointing his penlight at Batman's right heel, while the penlight was making similar kind of wheezing. ''Let's boost it up a little bit and…''

Gordon and Batman looked down and the swarm of bats batman was trying to call had arrived and they were now attacking the SWAT-team on the staircase.

''…Voilà.''

I have to save the Doctor.

Gordon and the Doctor carried Rachel and Clarissa down the stairs through the swarm of bats and the immobilized SWAT-team. It was difficult, but thanks to the Doctor's sonic screwdriver, they were able to cut through the swarm and then outside the building where other police officers were also fighting against the bats. Unnoticed by this method, they got themselves around the building and the Doctor opened the exit door on the wall with the sonic screwdriver.

''We're here now,'' Gordon said as they got to the alley between asylum wall and the next building. ''Now, what has been going on here?''

''Doctor Jonathan Crane has been receiving Nightmare Child, Falcone's drugs, here and been dumping it to the water supply,'' the Doctor told as he scanned the women with the sonic screwdriver. ''He has also found a way to weaponize it to an aerosol form as I feared and gave both too huge dose.''

''But not you?'' Gordon noted, trying to see Batman coming. ''I mean, you're fine now…''

''I was gassed with it too, but…'' the Doctor said, trying to make an excuse, ''I woke up. Apparently I'm immune to it or just more resistant.''

''What was Crane planning?'' Gordon asked.

''I don't know,'' the Doctor said shaking his head.

''Is he working for Falcone?''

''No,'' The Doctor said still kneeled next to the women. ''But when Batman questioned him, he called his employer the Demon's Head. Thought Batman kept saying the Demon's Head is dead.''

''How are they?''

Batman had suddenly appeared between Gordon and the Doctor without either of them noticing. The Doctor had been focusing his attention on his 'patients' and Gordon had been gazing at the end of the dark alley.

''Fading, we need to get them to the antidote soon or their condition becomes permanent,'' the Doctor said lifting Clarissa on his arms as Batman took Rachel.

''I'll get my car,'' Gordon said looking out for the other officers.

''I brought mine!'' Batman growled loudly and the Doctor saw the biggest, blackest tank of a car he had seen during his 900 year long life. Batman took Rachel and Clarissa inside, but before closing the hatch of car, the Doctor said:

''Make sure they get better!''

''Trust me,'' Batman told him before closing the hatch and speeding away past amazed Gordon.

''I've got to get one of those.''

He never looks the same, but I always know it's him.

Batman drove the Batmobile roaming over police cars and towards the bridge out of Narrows. As he was escaping from the police, Batman activated the Bat-Radio and turned it to police frequency.

''He's in a vehicle.''

''Make and color?''

''Well… it's a black… tank.''

So, they were after him now. Hopefully Gordon and Doctor Smith were able to convince at least some police officers to stay at Arkham and take care of Crane and his men. Rachel and Doctor Smith's assistant were twitching faster now and the latter one had begun to ramble nonsense.

''Stay calm,'' Batman told to the girl while changing channels of the Bat-Radio, ''you've been poisoned.''

''Sir?'' answered British accent from the loudspeaker.

''Alfred, I'm on my way back and the police are after me,'' Batman spoke to the radio.

''Well, we we're aware that was to happen eventually.''

''Was Fox able make more of the antidote?'' Batman asked as he drove the Batmobile up to the roof of a parking building.

''Yes, he brought it with him when he arrived with the other guests.''

''Is there enough for two people? I'm bringing Rachel and Doctor Smith's assistant to the Batcave for it,'' Batman growled as the police cars surrounded the Batmobile on the roof.

''Only just, and no more.''

''Understood, Batman out.''

Batman turned the Bat-Radio back to police frequency and went to Batmobile's turret mode, shooting the wall-railing of roof and drove the Batmobile to jump to the next rooftop, escaping from his pursuers.

But he never sees me. Almost never.

''With this authority!'' The Doctor yelled almost shoving the psychic paper to detective Flass' face, with Gordon smiling slightly amused. ''Now call those officers back here and make sure they do their actual jobs, AND NOT WASTE OUR TIME ON A WILD BAT CHASE!''

Both Gordon and the Doctor had returned back to Arkham just as Batman had roamed over some of the police cars and speeded off on his tank with Rachel and Clarissa. Flass had almost ordered every officer to leave the scene and go after the vigilante. Thanks to the Doctor's firm attitude and Gordon backing him up, they had succeeded in keeping most of the officers at Arkham. As Flass did what he was told to, the Doctor led Gordon and some officers back into the asylum and to Crane's secret laboratory.

''How long has that fat slob been your partner?'' the Doctor asked Gordon as they walked into the Asylum's hallways.

''Too long,'' Gordon said as they got to the elevator and the Doctor used the sonic screwdriver to bring them down. ''What is that thing? You used it to open doors and boost that… bat summoning device and now to-''

''Think of it as an electric door opener and a multitask tool,'' the Doctor answered putting it back to his jacket's pocket and crossed his arms. ''Something I built when I worked for UNIT.''

The Doctor, Gordon and the officers arrived to Crane's secret lab. Everyone was still unconscious from Batman's confrontation, mostly Crane who was laying next to the stairs. Gordon picked up the scarecrow-mask and told the officers to cuff every one of Crane's thugs and take Crane elsewhere so he can be questioned later. Then he joined the Doctor by the open pipe where the water was flowing.

''They got stuff all over mains?'' Gordon asked looking at barrels next to the pipe.

''Oh yeah,'' answered the Doctor while scanning the water with the sonic screwdriver.

''We need to call Water Company,'' Gordon suggested, ''have them shut down the mains-''

''That won't work,'' the Doctor said turning to Gordon. ''Crane has had Falcone supplying him with Nightmare Child for some time now, at worst for weeks. The entire water supply must be contaminated by now.''

''We have been drinking this stuff?!'' Gordon said surprised and grossed out. ''How come we don't feel the effects?''

''Well, from experience I can tell you must consume the toxin through lungs in aerosol form,'' the Doctor said hearing some sort of vibration. ''Your phone also seems to be ringing.''

''Must be the wife,'' Gordon said picking up his phone and answered it. The expression on his face however told that it wasn't Mrs. Gordon who had called him. ''How did you get number? Well, that is good news, but… Alright, I'll get him. It's for you, Doctor.''

The Doctor took Gordon's phone and said: ''Hello, this is the Doctor.''

''I managed to get the antidote to your assistant and Ms. Dawes,'' said the growling voice of the Batman from the phone. The Doctor took a deep breath relived that his companion was okay.

''Good to hear, but you that wasn't the only reason you called.''

''Unfortunately, I only had two doses for both of them, and not much more,'' Batman's raspy voice replied. ''I'm asking source if they can make more with what they have, but thought it would be good to ask if your expertise could be able to get more antidote done in case Crane's employer manages to get the toxin in air.''

''I'll see what I can do,'' The Doctor said looking around Crane's lab. ''What are you going to do with Ms. Dawes and Clarissa?''

''I let them rest for a while and then get them back,'' Batman answered. ''They're waking now, I must go.''

Batman hung up the phone call and the Doctor returned Gordon his mobile.

''Go ask Crane how he was planning to get Nightmare Child to air,'' the Doctor said beginning to browse the lab equipment. ''I'll see if I can get some kind of antitoxin made from all this mess.''

I came to this world on a leaf, I'm still blowing. I don't think I'll ever land.

Clarissa… no, that… that wasn't her name… woke up in a dark place. The ceiling was of black rock and there were bats flying and climbing on it. There was also water falling somewhere as she could feel the moist. She could also make out that they were in some kind of a cave.

''How are you feeling?''

Clarissa… that wasn't her name… turned her head to the direction of the voice and saw Rachel laying on a hospital bed next to her also bare conscious and Batman was standing near them at the feet of the beds.

''Where are we?'' Rachel asked frightened of their surroundings. ''Why did you bring us here?''

''If I hadn't, both of your mind would be lost,'' Batman shot back as the answer. ''You were poisoned.''

''It was… Doctor Crane,' Rachel tried to speak with half of her strength and sit up.

''Rest, Gordon's got Crane,'' Batman said pushing her back down and looked at Clarissa… No! Her name was... ''Doctor Smith is also fine. I just spoke to him on the phone.''

''Is Gordon your friend?'' Rachel asked Batman.

''I don't have the luxury to have friends','' Batman told Rachel and nodded his head to Clarissa… NO! She was... ''I'm giving you two a sedative. You'll wake up at your home.''

''When you do,'' Batman continued pulling out a small syringe, ''get this to Gordon and Doctor Smith. And them alone! Doctor Smith has begun to try manufacture more antidote for mass-production, and this might help him doing it.''

''Mass-production?'' Rachel asked as Batman gave her the sedative.

''Crane was just a pawn, we need to be ready,'' Batman said as Rachel slipped back to unconsciousness and then turned to... Clara. ''You'll see Doctor Smith again when you wake up.''

Clara tried to get up before Batman could sedate her, but she got her sedative and returned to slumber.

I'm Clara Oswald. I'm the Impossible Girl. I was born to save the Doctor.

Author's Notes: Well, I'm sure the Doctor has seen something more alien like that could rival with the Batmobile, but I couldn't remember any episode, comic or a book where he could have. If any of you readers do, I'm all ears. Or since we'll be communicating through writing messages and review-replies, all eyes.

The next chapter will be, as the three dots suggest, the closing to the Impossible Girl's mantra. And we all know, what happens then.

And since I'll be doing telling this to you any way, REVIEW THIS CHAPTER, MY FOLLOWERS!
