Chapter: 12:
Green Eyes and Red Lips : Part. 2
Hey! I'm back! I took a LONG time off but here I am. School has finally slowed down, and I was able to come up with more ideas. I am calling this part two because I feel the mood might change a bit from now on. Anyways, as always thanks for reading, feedback ALWAYS welcome.
The arrow slid in between the two with a sudden graceful glide. Natasha gasped, with thankfulness, fear, and fury. Loki's eyes narrowed with an abrupt anger. He stood up clenching his fist and staff to run at the assembled hero's. His resentment clouded his judgement and didn't see the flash of red that rammed into his side, Iron Man pounding his body firmly into the already crumbled building. Clint rushed to Natasha side his hands softly, delicately placed on her shoulders.
"My god, are you okay?!" He asked frantic, almost cooing over her figure. Natasha brushed him aside; she had been thorough much worse.
"I'm fine." She stated a cool bluntness coating her sentence. She looked around. All of the Avengers, with the exclusion of Bruce, stood before her. Thor and Steve run to where Tony had taken down Loki, Natasha nodded over and Clint followed. Natasha shadowed behind, not wanting to get too close. Emotions had never before churned in her like this. Pity, hatred, lust, and disgust all in one. She looked at Loki lying in a pile of rubble, a covering of pure innocence seemed to fall on him at this moment, if they had not already knew him too well, thoughts of sympathy would surely pop up.
"Loki, enough, you have had your fun, your time is done." Thor's booming voice announced, his hand firmly holding the hammer, Mjolnir. Loki looked up slowly to his brother with a sudden mocking glare.
"No," He laughed, "It's just begun." As he said the last words almost looking straight at Natasha. "New York may not be for me….but there are other things for the taking." With that he disappeared. The group backed up to look but there was no use, he was gone, for now.
"Brother you cannot hide forever!" Thor yelled his voice ringed off the broken glass and damaged buildings of the city, but no answer was heard.
Only silence.
Natasha lay in bed a long time that time before sleep overtook her. Thoughts of Loki ran through her head, but these ideas were not created by his dark magic, only by lingering feelings. Most of her team were near- dead tired, the afternoon spent cleaning up of the mass destruction, and looking for Loki. Before the group had found Natasha the frost giants had been taken care of. Thor had much experience with these beasts, and their numbers were limited from their last battle with Asgard . Most of the city was once again destroyed but eventually will be rebuilt. She lay and thought of everything, of the battle, of Clint, of Loki whom she hated…whom she thought she hated. Eventually she knew she couldn't fall asleep and went to the exercise room, to take out all the feelings, to rebuild her silent cold wall. When she arrived she noticed she would not be alone. Sitting on a bench against the wall sat Steve, dripping sweat, breathing hard, head behind his hands. He looked up and nodded.
"Can't sleep?" He questioned as she went and sat by him, wrapping her knuckles with gauze.
"No," was all her response consisted of, not wanting to start conversation at the moment.
"What is it? Who is it?" He asked again, and Natasha shot a glance at him…how would he know…
"Nothing, I'm tired, it's been a long day." She bluntly replied and started to stand. He nodded, not wanting to push it, and walked away to his room. Natasha walked to a punching bag, started to punch and kick at it with the speed and accuracy she always contained.
One punch, directed to Loki.
Another, for herself, letting herself feel like this.
One more, to forget those feelings, for now on Loki will always be the enemy.
Nothing more.
There you go! Quick question to all my readers, should I incorporate Thor 2 into this fan fiction, or just continue on, forgetting that (awesomely amazing) movie. I have two endings and two sequels in mind, just depends on your thoughts. Thanks once again!
