Disclaimer: Kingdom Hearts is not mine.

Author's Note: I just wanted to say, that even though it seems crazy (and it is) all of this drama has taken place, and now the day after Kairi moved back officially is going to be Christmas. Sorry I didn't get it out on Christmas, but... well, I've been busy. If you don't celebrate Christmas, sorry, but bear with me through this!

Warning: It's CHRISTMAS! ...in the story, of course. And... this is the last chapter. I'm sorry, but there won't be a sequel. I will put in an epilogue, though.

Chapter 16: The Best Christmas Ever

Kairi's POV

"Kairi, what are you doing here? I mean, I'm not upset to see you, but-" Sora was rambling.

"Sora, I moved back." I said.

"Really?! That's great!" Sora exclaimed. I stood up.

"Yeah. I know. I really gotta go though. Sorry." I said, before taking off in the direction of Namine's house. I could feel Sora's confused stare on me as I ran. Obviously I had to try harder to fix my heart because that just ruined my day.

I knocked on Namine's door, and the instant that it opened her eyes lit up.

"KAIRI!" Namine hugged me and I smiled before hugging her back.

"I missed you so much!" Namine cried.

"Um, Nami, I haven't been gone that long." I said.

"Well it was WAY too long for me!" Namine said before yanking me inside her house and up to her room.

"So, what brings you back? Not more drama, I hope." Namine said.

"Well, after I went back to Destiny Islands crying-"

"Wait, you were crying? Why?" Namine interrupted.

"You don't know?" I questioned. She shook her head.

"Sora and Xion are dating."

"THEY'RE WHAT?!" Namine covered her ears at Yuffie's outrage.

"You heard me! Sora and Xion are dating!" Namine cried.

"This is preposterous!" Aqua exclaimed.

"Why didn't she tell me? Scratch that, why didn't HE tell me?" Roxas questioned.

"Alright. We have to get to the bottom of this." Everyone turned towards Yuffie. This was planning Yuffie. She had the greatest plans that the crew had ever experienced.

"Roxas, find the exact addresses of each of Xion and Kairi's friends. Namine, work with Roxas and find their phone numbers as well. Aqua, you and I are going to Destiny Islands just after Christmas to search Kairi's old house for clues. I know where it is because I stalked her while I was there. ...What? It's not creepy!" Yuffie exclaimed. Everyone looked at each other.

"Yes, it is." They said simultaneously. Yuffie rolled her eyes.

"Wait, so why don't we just ask Sora, Kairi, and Xion for the information?" Namine asked.

"Because we can't let them know that we're interfering with their personal lives." Aqua said. She always was the smartest member of the crew.

"MOVE OUT!"

Roxas and Namine didn't take much time at all in finding the addresses and phone numbers. They immediately texted them to Yuffie.

Good work, Blonde Duo.

Yuffie texted them back. The two rolled their eyes at the nickname. Ever since Yuffie's first plan, they had been known as the "Blonde Duo." Even before they were dating. Their "skills" were research. Aqua was "Water Sidekick" and was always Yuffie's sidekick, often giving input and correcting any mistakes or flaws. Obviously, that was her skill, her genius mind. Yuffie was "The Mastermind" as she was always running the plans. Her skills were being a ninja, being awesome, and leading a not-quite-as-awesome-but-still-awesome team. That was in her own words, of course. Though he was excluded from this mission, Sora was "Cocoa Spikes." He disagreed to the name every time it was mentioned, especially since it originated from the time that Yuffie threw a cup of hot cocoa at him. Though most people would not believe it, Sora was the spy. He was quite incredible at it too, though Yuffie had once mentioned that he wasn't better than her. Nobody believed her, because she squealed and commented to every piece of information she got. Kairi, though she had never been involved in one of Yuffie's "extremely epic epic-ness plans," as she liked to call them, was called "Fire Hair" with the skills of deceiving. They had learned that the girl was good at getting rid of emotion and also good at changing her look, as they had experienced.

"Yuffie's crazy." Roxas said.

"Yes, but a very good kind of crazy." Namine said. They both jumped as they got a text from Yuffie.

Intel on the Demonic Raven.

Roxas glared at it before sending a text back.

Don't call her that. She isn't evil.

He texted. Almost immediately he got a text back.

Believe what you want, Sun Spikes.

"Dang it! Now I have my own personal nickname!" Roxas groaned. Namine giggled.

Yo Sun Spikes, you and Miss Intel had better be on your way or I'll DESTROY YOU BOTH!

Roxas and Namine shared a look before running as fast as they could around the room, packing their stuff, and taking off out the door.

Aqua, who had arrived only a moment before, and Yuffie had been waiting for a very short amount of time before Roxas and Namine came running in the door, both panting heavily.

"WE'RE HERE!" Roxas yelled.

"DON'T KILL!" Namine cried. Yuffie laughed at them.

"Anyways, so now we officially have the addresses and phone numbers of them." Yuffie said, before stopping. All three of them looked at her.

"That's what you called us here for?!" They all cried out.

"No, stupids! Take these... and don't open them until tomorrow!" Yuffie said. They all looked at her.

"Okay, but-"

"No but's! The great ninja Yuffie, away!" She threw down a smoke bomb and it cleared nearly instantaneously, yet she was gone.

"WHOA!" They exclaimed.

"Yuffie! Yuffie, this is YOUR house! Where did you go?" Roxas yelled.

"How did she do that?" Namine asked in awe.

"I have no idea." Aqua said. It was silent for a moment before Roxas spoke up again.

"You wanna go get pizza?"

Kairi sat on her bed and looked at her Christmas presents. Clothes, movies, and a new phone to replace the old one that she had thrown away. The phone was really expensive and brand new, but that was all her mother would tell her. She wouldn't even tell her how expensive it was.

Kairi's head glanced to where she saw a present, which had randomly appeared. She opened it up, and saw a card taped to a box. She opened the card and read what was written.

Merry Christmas, Kairi!

From, the Crew
Yuffie, Roxas, Namine, Aqua, and Sora

Kairi traced her fingers over Sora's name before snapping out of it and unwrapping the present. Inside was a picture frame. She picked it up and looked at the picture inside it.

It showed the crew at the top of the clock tower. They were all smiling, and it was sometime in the Winter. Kairi's fingers traced over them all, before stopping at Sora. A tear slipped down her face, and she finally accepted the facts. She loved Sora. She couldn't convince herself that she didn't.

Kairi's head turned towards the last wrapped gift on her bed: Sora's. She picked it up and carefully unwrapped it, revealing a bracelet. It had gold and silver entwined around each other and it sparkled like nothing Kairi had ever seen before. She saw the card that was on the bed and carefully picked it up, reading it.

Kairi,

I was scared to death to tell you this in person. I really wish I could've, but I'm too much of a chicken.

I love you, Kairi. I know that we didn't know each other for long, and I broke your heart. I wanted to tell myself that I wasn't in love with you after you left. I didn't want to hurt myself more knowing that I couldn't be with you. I was selfish, I know.

You're my best friend, Kairi. Even if you don't like me back, I hope that we can still be friends, because I can't stand the thought of never seeing you again. I really hope you visit, because I'm crazy about you.

Merry Christmas Kairi.

-Sora

Kairi looked at the letter and blinked. Sora... loved her? Then why was he dating Xion? Kairi was about to tear up the letter and all of its lies, but her new phone beeped. Bewildered, she picked it up and looked at the message.

Kairi, your mom gave me your new phone number. If it isn't programmed into your phone, this is Xion. I heard that you threw your old phone away, so I had to tell you this before you make any mistakes. Kairi, I'm not dating Sora. He told me that he couldn't date me, because he was in love with you, Kairi.

Kairi's eyes widened, and she immediately found that all of her friends, in the crew and the gang, were in her phone. She texted Namine immediately.

Namine sat with Roxas and Aqua at Yuffie's house. They had just finished getting their presents and were now discussing the plan.

Namine jumped as her phone went off, and everyone looked at her, curious. She read the text.

Nami, I was wrong. Xion just texted me. Sora and Xion aren't dating.

Namine blinked. Then blinked again. Then had a freaking panic attack.

"OH MY GOD! THIS WHOLE TIME WE'VE BEEN TRYING TO LEARN THE TRUTH AND KAIRI JUST TEXTED ME THE TRUTH!" Namine yelled. Roxas stole her phone, read the text, and went just as crazy. Aqua and Yuffie read it, and Yuffie went berserk.

"HOW COULD THIS HAPPEN?"

"Guys." Aqua said. No response.

"Guys!" Aqua tried again. No response.

"GUYS!" Aqua yelled. No response.

"YOU GUYS!"Aqua screamed. Everybody stopped and stared at her.

"You should be happy! Sora and Xion aren't dating, that means that Sora and Kairi can get together!" Aqua said. They all looked at each other, before grinning.

"YES!"

Xion opened the present from Sora and Roxas and saw that it was the newest, most expensive laptop that was out. She gaped. This was her dream laptop! She looked at the card.

Xion,

I remember you telling me in one of our letters that you wanted this. Our parents are slightly rich, so we managed to get you this with a little begging and some of our own money. And by our, I mean Sora's.

Merry Christmas!

- Roxas and Sora

Xion smiled at them before remembering the Sora-Kairi situation. She remembered that Kairi's mom had given her Kairi's new phone number through email, and pulled out her phone, rapidly texting Kairi before sending it.

She just prayed that it got to Kairi before she said or did something she'd regret.

Kairi ran down the street as fast as she could towards Sora's house. She knocked on the door and came face-to-face with Sora's mother.

"Oh, you must be Kairi! It's a pleasure to meet you! I bet you're wondering where Sora and Roxas are. Well, Roxas is at Yuffie's house, and Sora... well, he's actually on his way to your house!" She exclaimed. Kairi nodded, feeling a little awkward as she stood there.

"Well don't just stand there, go get 'im!" Sora's mom smiled at Kairi. Kairi smiled back before running off back to her house.

Running at top speed, Kairi saw Sora walking up to her driveway.

"SORA!" She yelled. He turned around and yelped as she tackled him. Kairi did the most shocking thing ever right then and there. She kissed him.

Sora's eyes widened in surprise, before kissing her back. After a few moments, they pulled away.

"What was that for?" Sora questioned, surprised.

"I love you too, Sora." Sora's eyes widened even more.

"Oh yeah! That letter!" Sora glanced down to see that she was wearing the bracelet.

"Yeah. I almost tore it up after reading it. Thanks to Xion, I didn't." Kairi saw his confused look and explained.

"I thought that you were lying to me because before I left... I kinda saw you kissing Xion. She texted me today and told me that you two weren't dating. That was why I kinda ditched you when I came back. What was that kiss about, anyways?" Kairi asked.

"Oh! Xion told me that she had a crush on me. She kissed me." Sora said. Kairi nodded, before kissing him again.

"AW!" They broke apart, blushing, and turned towards Namine, Aqua, Yuffie, and Roxas.

"THIS CALLS FOR A PICTURE!" Yuffie pulled a camera out of nowhere.

"Seriously, how does she do that?" Namine asked Aqua. Aqua shrugged as the crew moved in around them and Yuffie held her hand out with the camera. They all smiled and took the picture.

And it truly was the best Christmas ever.
