A/N: Once again, sorry for the extremely short chapter. I spent the last few months literally writing and deleting everything because nothing seemed to flow very good.

Also, I am in dire need of a new Beta so if you are interested or if you know of anybody, please let me know. This story seriously needs to start moving faster.

Disclaimer: Same as previous chapters.

Happy New Year!

Dear Cissy

Please talk to me. I know you are mad and I do not blame you but I implore you to understand. I love him. I love him more than words could possibly explain and it is tearing me apart that I have to choose between him and you. You know I love you too, right? Please write something. Even if it is a howler. I cannot stand this silence and I miss your company.

Love always
Andy

The letter was floating in front of Narcissa as she tried to muster the courage to burn it, but none came. Instead she grabbed it from the air, crumpled it and threw it against the bedpost, only to crawl over on her knees, pick it up and read it again. Never in her life has she felt as conflicted as now. Her parents could give Andromeda a chance, so why couldn't she? Was she the only one who felt betrayed by her sister's actions?

It has been weeks since Druella caught Andromeda with some muggleborn called Ted Tonks. Her parents gave her an ultimatum – she had until Christmas to decide who she was going to choose. If she chose her family, she will be welcomed with open arms but should she choose the piece of filth she would be following the same route as all the other traitors- disownment. Narcissa knew it had to be difficult, yet she couldn't fully understand. Yes, her family wasn't the most loving when it came to affection but how could Andromeda even consider leaving them? Did her sisters really mean that little to her?

Narcissa took the parchment, folded it and laid it in the box with all the other letters Andromeda had written. She still couldn't find the words to reply without sounding bitter and like she had already written her off.

"So, Cissy. What are your plans for this year?" The drapes around Narcissa's bed opened to reveal Alecto, who flopped down on the bed.

"Nothing much." Narcissa sat up straight and hid the box behind her back. "Study, work, study, work and maybe I will attend the Halloween ball."

"Boring as always." Alecto seemed occupied with some split-ends in her hair. "You need to get out a little more. See the world! Fuck some boys, perhaps a teacher or two. Hand in homework a little late. You only get to be a student once you know."

Narcissa only rolled her eyes at Alecto, "Still haven't gotten Professor Henderson?"

Alecto only pouted and shook her head. Ever since the young professor started coaching Quiditch Alecto had been eager to catch his eye. Unfortunately he only seemed interested in Quiditch. If he wasn't a professor Narcissa would have called him daft – at times even dafter than Goyle – but, alas, she showed too much respect for professors to do such a thing. "But I will, mark my words, before Christmas I will have him."

A knock on the window stopped Narcissa from saying something. She went to open it and an owl flew in, dropping a letter on each bed in the room before flying out again. Narcissa blocked out Alecto's rambling and opened her letter.

Princess to correspond with Prince Charming.

"Oh no!" Alecto exclaimed with a groan. "I hate this letter thing. Why couldn't we just... I don't know, hang ourselves in the Forbidden Forest and hope for some creatures to eat our toes? It would be less torture than this." She indicated to the letter.

"Stop being so melodramatic Ally, there are worse things than having to write friendly letters to some boy who you may or may not know."

"Yeah, yeah. Whatever. It is not like you have anything better to do with your time." Alecto ducked out of the room before the flying pillow could collide with her head.

Narcissa gave an exasperated sigh and fell back into her bed. Just another letter weighing on her shoulders. Well hopefully whoever this 'Prince Charming' is will know that it is only good manners for the male to start the conversation.

Dearest Princess

I know not who you are, nor do I know how this will work out. I can only hope that my company will be satisfactory and not bore you to the ends of the Earth.
Let me start by saying "Hello". I fear there is nothing more that I can say for now, but I am sure this will end up being a good past time.

Prince Charming

The letter had made its way into the library and into Narcissa's hands. She looked around, trying to see its sender but clearly he wasn't occupying the same room as the blonde. At least the handwriting was neat and legible.

Ignoring the evil look she was receiving from Madame Pince, Narcissa fished her pen and personal parchment from her bag. And started writing her own reply. After she had finished and reread it through trice, she waved her wand and beautiful curls with flowers at the end were marked on the page.

Perfect.

Prince Charming

It is lovely to make your acquaintance. I am sure that, over time, your company will be more than satisfactory and even a welcome change to the dreary everyday life of school. It is rather bothersome to not know who you are but I suppose the mystery behind it all makes it so much more fun.
I guess this is the part where I have to ask you to tell me more about yourself and vice versa so, tell me about yourself.

Princess

Reviews would be appreciated and, remember I need a Beta please.
