One year later…Gibbs was walking into the bull pen and he saw Ziva with tears in her eyes sitting at her desk. Tony and Tim were at their desk's sitting down, since they had just got there.

"Ziva," Gibbs said walking over to her. Ziva never showed emotion, so this was serious, "Ziva, what's wrong?" Gibbs kneeled beside her. Ziva looked at Gibbs and a single tear went down her face, she wiped it away immediately.

"Eli has been dead for some time now and even now he is even causing me problems," Ziva said, "…I apparently have another sister and he never told me."

"What?"

"Yeah, and since she has no mother she is coming to live with me. I have full custody."

"Full custody? How old is she?"

"She is twelve. You know she didn't even live in Israel. She lived in a small town in this country with her mother, but her mother died two months ago. I am just finding out about her." Tony and Tim looked shocked.

"When will she be here?"

"She came in last night and she isn't even talking to me and I can't get her to open up. I need to borrow Malcolm because she will be here soon."

"Malcolm?"

"She is gifted, too and she's going to be going to Malcolm's school and is going to be in his gifted class, too, so can he sort of mentor her?"

"I would love to," said a voice from ahead where Gibbs' desk was. It was Malcolm.

"I appreciate it Malcolm." The elevator bell dinged and out came a girl with brown curly, slightly messy, hair that was in two uneven pony tails. She looked like Ziva. Ziva rushed over to her and brought her over to Gibbs, the girl seemed really quiet and depressed. Malcolm went wide eyed when he saw her. Oh MY GOD! It's Cynthia! The girl did not see Malcolm. Ziva and Cynthia walked over to Gibbs.

"Cynthia, this is my boss, Gibbs, and that's Tony and Tim," Ziva said.

"Nice to meet you," Gibbs said.

"You, too, sir," Cynthia said timidly, she stared at the floor. Why is she acting so depressed? It's so...un-Cynthia like. Cynthia looked up and saw Malcolm. Suddenly a huge smile came across her face and she was beaming! She gasped in happiness, then she became overwhelmed and started to cry. She ran over to Malcolm with a bone crushing hug. She hugged Malcolm so hard that she spun around and was now facing Ziva and Gibbs. Malcolm hugged her back. Cynthia was crying on Malcolm's shoulder; Malcolm was her best friend when they went to school together. Gibbs and his team looked confused.

"Hey Cynthia," Malcolm said.

"Malcolm! Malcolm hi!" Cynthia said hysterically. Cynthia was a little shorter than Malcolm, so she was resting her forehead on his shoulder. Malcolm was actually happy to see her. They pulled apart and looked at each other. She was her wide eyed self again.

"Cynthia, your Ziva's sister?" Malcolm asked.

"Who's-," Cynthia stopped and looked over and Ziva, "Oh! That's what her name is? Okay."

"I can't believe it's you!" Cynthia looked at the team and looked back at Malcolm.

"I missed you so much!" Cynthia saw everyone looking at them. "Is there any place we can talk in private?"

"We can go to the break room," Malcolm suggested. Cynthia nodded and took Malcolm's hand and they walked together to the break room. Everyone stared in shock.

"What just happened?" Ziva asked.

"Malcolm just got a date," Tony said chuckling. Ziva and Gibbs glared at him then they walked over to the plasma.

"McGee, put up security footage from the elevator," Gibbs said. He did and they saw that the elevator was off and Cynthia and Malcolm were talking.

"Malcolm, I don't know what to do," Cynthia said, "I don't have anyone anymore." She leaned against the side of the elevator.

"You got me, Cynthia," Malcolm said sweetly. Oh My God! Did I really just say that? Have I gone soft? Thank God Reese wasn't here to hear that! Cynthia looked at Malcolm and smiled.

"Thanks," Cynthia said, "So will we be going to the same school?"

"Yes."

"Yes! Just like old times! So, how are your brothers?"

"Good. Can you do me a favor to make this really like old times?"

"Sure."

"Will you beat up Reese again?" Cynthia got that look in her eye that Ziva gets when she in intrigued by something.

"Of course, my Malcolm," Cynthia said, she turned back on the elevator, "but first I need coffee." Did she say 'my Malcolm'?

"Your sister is really nice," Malcolm said. Cynthia turned the elevator back off and looked at Malcolm with sadness in her eyes.

"Is she?"

"Yeah. She's friends with my parents."

"Where are the parents who are raising you?"

"The guy upstairs named Gibbs, that's my Dad. My mom is the forensic scientist here. You'll like her…everyone does."

"So Ziva is nice?"

"Ziva is very nice and did you see that guy Tony?"

"Yeah."

"Well, he and Ziva don't know this, but they're in love with each other. Tony has been in love with her for years he told my mom and Ziva has been in love with Tony also…she also told my mom."

Upstairs Tony and Ziva were so shocked that they were frozen. Finally Ziva turned around to face Tony; all the color had left his face. Gibbs looked at McGee and they both started towards the steps. Tony and Ziva started to walk towards each other, but they stopped a few inches away from each other, neither knew what to do next.

"Is that uh…true?" Ziva said. Suddenly Tony got some courage and kissed her. Then he pulled away.

"Yeah, it is," Tony said. Ziva smiled and kissed him back very passionately.

Malcolm and Cynthia finally made it to the break room where Vance was, but they didn't see him. Malcolm and Cynthia smiled at each other and were lost in each-other's eyes.

"What?" Cynthia said smiling.

"You just look pretty," Malcolm said. What did I just say? She giggled. Vance was silently chuckling, but they still didn't notice him.

"You don't look too bad yourself." Malcolm smiled. Finally Malcolm saw Vance.

"Director Vance," Malcolm nervously said standing up.

"Who's your friend, Malcolm?" Vance asked.

"I'm Cynthia Dávid," Cynthia said. Vance's eye brows went up.

"Dávid? Not as in Eli."

"He was my Aba."

"Will you both excuse me for a moment?" Vance said going up the elevator to Ziva. Malcolm and Cynthia smiled at each other. Why am I smiling? I feel…happy and…not so alone.

"So my Malcolm…we're going to be in the same class."

"Cool. I'm glad you're here."

"Me too."

Two months later Cynthia and Malcolm were friends again and Tony and Ziva were dating. Everything was going well. It was a Friday evening and Malcolm was going over to Ziva's to study with Cynthia. He was going to sleep over in the guest room; Francis was taking Jamie out to his friend's house, where Jamie would sleep over; Dewey was sleeping over his friend Roy's house; and Gibbs was catching up on some work at NCIS. Abby was down in her lab when all of a sudden Reese walked down.

"Hey Reesie Piecie," Abby said.

"Hey Mom," Reese said.

"You know everyone is going to be out of the house except me and you, so I thought that we could watch a movie."

"A movie?"

"From my collection." Reese looked shocked.

"Fr-from your horror movie collection?"

Abby nodded.

"Really?"

"Yep, I thought we could watch whatever ones you wanted."

"Awesome!" Reese said. Francis walked in and he was smiling.

"Hey Francis," Abby said.

"Hey. Reese, dad's about to interrogate this guy and I think dad's going to hit him," Francis said.

"Alright!" Reese said darting towards the elevator.

"So what's up?" Abby asked.

"Can I talk to you for a minute?" Francis asked.

"Yeah sure."

"First off…I already talked to dad and he thinks it's a good idea, but he said that he'll talk to you about it too."

"Okay?"

"And just remember that this is what I want."

"You're scaring me," Abby said.

"Mom…I…uh…remember when I was in military school?"

"Yeah."

"Well…I hated it, but…you know dad's taught me a lot about the core and I think that I would make a great marine. And if you sign my papers to let me join the military…then I can serve my country." Abby was shocked.

"Mom?" Francis asked.

"I'll have to talk this over with your father."

"Mom-."

"Francis, I have plans with Reese tonight. I will talk to your father later, okay?"

"Okay. Love you."

"Love you, too."

That night, Reese and Abby were hanging out watching a very scary movie. Reese was having a great time with his mom. He thought she was pretty cool for a mom. When the movie ended Reese was asleep, with his head on a pillow that was on Abby's lap. Abby was stroking his hair and thinking about Francis. Gibbs finally walked in around 10 and he saw Abby who was deep in thought and was rubbing Reese's head. He sighed. He knew what she was thinking about. Abby looked up at him and slightly smiled.

"Reese," Abby said slightly shaking him, "Go to bed." Reese nodded and in a daze went to his room. Gibbs walked over and sat next to Abby and put his arm around her.

"Abby," Gibbs said, "You don't have to let Francis join if you don't want him to."

"I don't want to hold him back from something that he wants to do," Abby said sadly, "Especially if it's something like that."

"But?"

"I don't want to have my son come home in a body bag before he's 18. Or have PTSD. I know that sounds horrible, but-."

"Abby, I know. A part of me doesn't want him to do it either."

"But?"

"I'd be a hypocrite if I said anything."

"I love Francis."

"Me too."

"Is this what's best for him?"

"It might build character," Gibbs said.

"Alright," Abby said, as she started to cry, "I'll sign it."

"Me too," Gibbs kissed her forehead. Abby was crying.

"Baby," Gibbs said, "I'll give him some pointers to help him out. He'll be fine."

"Okay," Abby said with a shaky voice. Just then Francis walked in and Abby composed herself. Abby quickly signed the paper along with Gibbs and then walked over to Francis.

"Just promise to be safe," Abby said handing him the paper. Francis smiled and he hugged his mother.

"I love you mom," Francis said.

"I love you, too."

Six months later Francis was being deployed to Afghanistan. His entire family was standing out front with him waiting for the truck that was to pick him up. He went down the line. First to Jamie.

"Hey little guy," Francis said to Jamie, picking him up, "I'm going to miss you. When I get back I want to hear you talk alright." Then he put Jamie down and he went over to Dewey. Dewey had tears in his eyes.

"I want you to concentrate on your music and send me a copy of your play that you have coming up," Francis said, "I can't wait to see it."

"Okay Francis," Dewey said with a shaky voice. Francis hugged him, then went over to Malcolm.

"Don't be such a show-off," Francis said making Malcolm laugh and giving him a hug, "I'll see you."

"See you," Malcolm said. He went over to Reese who was holding back tears and was silently crying. Reese saluted him and Francis did the same to him. They nodded at each other and Reese hugged him. The Francis went over to his parents.

"Thank you dad," Francis said, "For teaching me and everything. I'll make you proud."

"I know you will," Gibbs said giving him a hug.

"Mom," Francis said, "I will come back safe and I will make you proud."

"You already have," Abby said crying and giving him a hug. Then she let her oldest go and he went off in the back of the truck with his marine friends and they drove off. He waved goodbye and then Abby looked over at Reese who was holding back tears. Malcolm, Dewey, and Jamie went in the house, leaving Gibbs, Abby, and Reese outside.

"I wanna cook dinner tonight," Reese said, making Abby and Gibbs turn to him in shock.

"Huh?" Abby asked, "What? Why?"

"I like cooking and it might get my mind off…," Reese's voice drifted.

"Sure Reese. We would enjoy that," Abby said rubbing his head. Reese nodded and went in the house. Abby went in the back yard and Gibbs followed. She sat on the wooden swing and Gibbs sat next to her. Abby let a small sob escape and Gibbs immediately wrapped her in his arms and kissed her head.

"It's okay," he whispered to her. Abby let another small sob escape and she buried her face deeper into Gibbs' chest.

"I'm gonna miss him," Abby said crying.

"Me, too," Gibbs said, "But he's gonna be okay. I promise." Gibbs kissed her head.
