Fallen Familiar chapter 5

I do not own Zero no Tsukaima or Highschool DxD.

Azazel watched as Louise slept on the bed in her room, his mind flashing back to the events of the previous night. He was just about to get to the good part when his little master decided to barge in and interrupt his fun. To top it all, she decided to use her newly-acquired power, and needless to say she lost control of it. It took Azazel using senbon-like light spear to stop her, hitting different nerves in her body and knocking her out.

The fallen angel was broken out of his thoughts by said petite girl rising her head with a cute sleepy expression on her face. When she finally come back to her senses and saw the black-haired male, her face turned red and she started backing off until she fell of the bed with a thud.

"Do-Don't come near m-me, you perverted ANGEL!" she stuttered/yelled out. Azazel only smiled before patting her on the head like one would pat a puppy, only that Louise was not a cute puppy but a cute, mostly angry lion. She puffed her cheeks, took her wand that was lying on the nightstand next to her bed before yelling the one thing she knew she was good at.

"EXPLOSION"

What she expected a blasted angel, but when the smoke cleared it revealed her now destroyed room with no Azazel to be found. Moments later, a black magic circle appeared on the floor, and from It, the fallen angel emerged with a grin on his face.

Louise on the other hand stood gaping for a few moments before huffing and turned her back to him with her arms crossed.

It was at that moment that Azazel heard the commotion outside . When he looked out of Louise's window, he saw the black-haired girl from yesterday getting into a carriage. Now, while he did not know her personally, she was beautiful and Azazel did duel for her.

"Louise, whose is this carriage?" asked the fallen angel.

Said girl snapped out of her stubbornness and came to stand next to him.

"It's count Mott's " she said after taking through the window "He is a messenger for the palace."

"And what would he want with that young lady?"

"You mean the commoner girl you fought for? Some nobles like to take mistresses… " Louise said, her voice losing volume towards the end.

By the time Azazel was able to leave the building, the carriage was able to make quite of a head start, enough for it to be not in sight. He spread out his wings and took off in the direction he saw it leave.

As he flew high he saw something that changed his mood from easy going to serious. The carriage was under attack by strange enormous green creatures. The carriage had no guards what so ever, only the horseman and the single passenger inside, and with the horseman already dead that left only Siesta.

Azazel swooped down, a light spear already forming in his hand. There were a total of three of these strange creatures. One of them was continuously hacking and laughing at the body of long-dead horseman, while the other two were busy tearing down the carriage. He saw one of them entering the carriage and a chilling scream was heard before it was silenced.

At that moment the fallen angel's anger boiled over. He threw his light spear at the one outside of the carriage, the spear piercing him from head to toe. Quickly forming a second, he threw it at the one standing over the dead horseman, hitting him squire in the head.

Azazel finally landed and quickly rushed after the last one. When he entered the carriage his blood ran cold. Azazel had thousands of years of battle experience, but it was one thing looking at dead warriors, it was another looking at a young girl with a rusty jagged sword sticking out of her throat with an ugly, slightly bend, green skinned monster standing above her.

He quickly pierced his spear in the exact same place the creature has pierced Siesta with his sword.

Not paying any heed to the dying green skin, he quickly took the black-haired girl outside. He removed the sword from her throat, the girl still alive if only barely. She was choking on her own blood, her eyes becoming glassy, her skin paling but the second.

Azazel was no good in healing magic. You could even say he did not know any. He knew that the only way he could save her was to use his still untested experiment.

Quickly reaching into his inner coat pocket, he pulled out a single copper coin with a serpent on it. Placing in just below the girl's wound, he could only stand and watch as a golden circle appeared beneath her and the wound began to close.

When the wound finally closed, he picked the still girl bridal style and took off towards the academy, the destroyed carriage and four dead completely forgotten.

Siesta awoke on a soft bed. The last thing she remembers is the ugly face of sneering orc. She had heard that there are such creatures in the woods around the academy, but she never imagined she would meet one, let alone have her life ended by one.

Her hands suddenly shot towards her neck, searching for a wound that was not there. She remembered chocking , trying to breath, with the visage of the one that defended her from Lord Guiche above her, her angel.

"How are you feeling?" a voice came from beside her. She turned her head towards the source, only to find said angel, sitting on a chair next to her bed.

Siesta immediately blushed and could only nod. She would be lying if she said she did not develop a small crush towards the black-haired male after he stood up for her.

"Look, I am not going to beat around the subject. You nearly died so I used a certain…artifact. I am unsure of its full effects. Would you mind imagining having wings?" said Azazel, a smile on his face, enhanced by the prospects of one if his experiments into action.

'Wings?' though curiously Siesta, tilting her head to one side, but obliged nonetheless. She closed her eyes and did as the angel requested. Not a second later she felt weight on her back. Opening her eyes she saw that Azazel's smile has morphed into a self-satisfied grin. Taking a look behind her, she became speechless, her mouth gaping like a fish.

Two pristine white wings could be seen coming out of her back.

"Congratulations! You are an angel!" said Azazel, trying hard not to burst out laughing at the poor girl's expression.

Not two seconds later she fainted, dropping back on the bed, her wings disappearing.

Azazel then turned to the door, having sensed the presence of his little master, and saw Louise with a similar expression to that which Siesta wore not ten seconds ago.

"I guess I should explain" Louise could only nod, not trusting her words.

"Not here" said Azazel. Taking one last look at the now sleeping Siesta, he walk out of the room, Louise on his heels

"So, Louise, how is that servant girl that darling was so worried about?" asked Kirche, both she and Tabitha having caught up to Louise which was still trying to catch up to Azazel.

"He somehow turned her into…an angel" said the pink-head so quietly the Germanian barely heard it.

While Kirche started stuttering, Tabitha's only reaction was a raised eyebrow.

"Just get a move on you Germanian Cow. He said he will explain." Said Louise, this time in the way she normally speaks to Kirche.

Ignoring the Valliere daughter, the red-head soon realized Azazel has been leading them towards Louise's room. Once inside, he took a seat on of the chairs at the small table in the room and started rummaging through his inner coat pocket.

With the girls taking a seat Azazel pulled out strange coins and aligned in three groups.

"You see, after the war, the devils developed a way to turn humans into devils. It became known as the evil piece system based on the game of chess, with each piece having different strengths. After peace was declared, the devils shared they technology with us and the angels. I was too busy at the time to create a fallen angel equivalent, having worked on a dragon armor. Heaven, however created the Brave Saints. The ability to turn humans into angels based on card games." He paused here, turning to look directly at Louise.

"I was working on the fallen angel equivalent when you summoned me." He said, gesturing to the coins on the table.

"It is still incomplete, which is why the servant girl got turned into a normal angel instead of fallen one. She could still fall, but for now, she is pure. So, any questions?" Azazel asked, his normal smile finding a way to his face.

"Different" said Tabitha, gesturing to the coins.

"Ah, yes different coins grant different abilities. The girl is a serpent coin" He said, gesturing to the copper coins, which were the most –eight.

"Serpent coins have increased regenerative abilities. If, for examples, she loses a hand, she will grow a new one within a day. Sadly internal organs cannot be regenerated."

"The hydra coins allow for those that are Hydras to communicate telepathically with one-another and share their energy no matter the distance. The prime hydra can also use any of the abilities of the other hydras." Azazel continued, gesturing to the five silver coins, four of them depicting a four-headed hydra and one having a five-headed one engraved on it.

"And finally, the dragon coin" he said, gesturing to the golden one "No special abilities, just an enormous boost in power, both physical and magical. By just how much depends on the will of the person."

There was silence for a few seconds. In that time, Tabitha was staring at the coins with a calculative look, Louise with a faraway one and Kirches look could only be described as a mix of greed and lust.

"Say, darling, can you turn me into an angel as well. If you did it for that servant girl, then you can surely do it for me."

"I can, but are you ready for it? I turned that girl because she was dying, or rather was dead already. But you are still alive." The black-haired angel started before been interrupted by Kirche.

"So there shouldn't be a problem then?" she asked hopefully.

" You would be immortal. You will see people age and die around you. I have lost count of how many times I have fallen in love and had to watch that person age and turn to dust just because there was no such system back then." He paused here

"Are you ready for it? For people to die around you while you never change?"

A silence descended upon the room, with all three girls bowing their heads down, having obviously thought the same thing.

It was Kirche again that spoke.

"Besides Tabitha, I don't really have anyone I can call friend…and my family…they wanted to marry me off to some old fart, to get rid of me 'for my behavior was shameful to the Zerbst family' . This is the reason why I am here, in Tristain." said the Germanian, her voice quite. Even Louise was staring at her with wide eyes, never expecting her 'rival' to have such a story.

"Still…you should think over it a few days. It is not a small decision." Said the fallen angel, the girl only nodding her still bowed head.

A few minutes passed in silence before Kirche and Tabitha excused themselves. On the way out the Red-head turned to Louise.

"Don't forget about the familiar exhibition tomorrow. You don't want to embarrass yourself in front of the princess, do you? But then again, with darling here, you are sure to win." Said the Germanian, her mood back to normal.

The sound of Louise's hand hitting her forehead as the room's door closed could be heard, followed by a male laughter.

Sorry for not updating for so long. This chapter is kinda…sorta…somewhat…rushed..and bad.

I tried reading the Highschool DXD light novels. Got somewhere to around 8 or 9 (can't remember exactly) before I just gave up. I mean there is perversion, and then there is this thing. Also the plot got repetitive. A strong guy appears, Issei gets his ass kicked, Issei touches breasts, Issei get a power boost/unlocks new ability, Issei wins. Such a great story potential was wasted to simple, primate perverseness. I am not against his dream of been harem king and the occasional ecchi stuff…but that was too much.

So from all this perversion, my mind was in the gutter for quite some time regarding this story.

I also tried looking up the Zero no Tsukaima light novels but couldn't find all of them translated. I am especially interested in the Karin and Tabitha side stories, but for some reason I cannot even find a chapter of them translated. SO, If anyone of you has an idea where I can find them, please PM me.

Regarding the story, I am wondering if I should have the other void familiar be cannon or have them summon other characters from the DxD universe (the pope ending with a devil familiar would be absolutely funny(and possibly deadly for both of them))

And finally-Siesta. Originally I was skeptical about including her at all in the story. When I decided to include her in it, my first idea was to have count Mott be a devil, Azazel and him having a fight and Siesta dying in the process, but since Skylinemaster already did that, I decided against it. Please don't kill me for the cheap usage of orcs. :D

As always construction, grammar or story mistake reviews are welcome.

Thank you for reading.
