Wow, I am just pumping out updates like crazy!
...Hope I didn't just jinx that.
So, Happy Thanksgiving! And...Hanukkah, if you celebrate that...
Anyway, here's Hello Again Chapter 4!

"Where the hell are they?"
A restless young shinobi impatiently tapped his foot against the pavement.
'The exams start in twenty minutes, and not one of them has even shown up? I hope Kakashi didn't train them in the art of tardiness...'
A breeze passed through, ruffling his clothing and whipping through his hair.
The source of the wind touched down in a blur of navy and red.
"Dobe."
He nodded in response.
"Teme."
The three walked through the doors together.
"So what exactly did Kakashi teach you guys?"
"Oh! He-er, well, told us not to tell you," said Sakura.
'Hmph. I see how it is then.'

A rather large group of teens inhabited about half of the plane, the smell of tobacco and the sound of crying infants filling the air.
"I can't believe we're taking a public plane," groaned Liz.
"It saves money, I guess," commented Tsubaki with a sweatdrop.
*BZZT*
A loud voice bellowed over the intercom.
"We will be departing for Miami, Florida in approximately 20 minutes. If you'd please direct your attention toward the attendants in the aisle or the monitors before you, you will be instructed on safety!"
The two women demonstrated how to operate life jackets, oxygen masks, seat belts, and the emergency exits.
At this point, the only one not paying attention was Maka, whose eyes were glued to her phone.
"Makaa," her partner hissed, "Turn off your phone!"
"Oh! Right!"
"Actually you guys should make use of what little time with your phone you have left," said Spirit, next to Stein in the row behind them.
"Why's that?" asked Kid, next to Soul.
"The Elemental Countries are a very advanced nation in terms of combat. They are capable of manipulating the residual energies within their bodies for all sorts of things, from simply constructing a wall, to breathing fire. This energy is created due to the odd wavelengths emanating from the region. Such wavelengths react violently with most technology, and have caused normal forms of human transportation to malfunction and their passengers' demise," said Stein, smoking a cig.
'Isn't it illegal to smoke those things in here?' wondered Maka.
"As a result the inhabitants of the continent don't depend as heavily on tech as we do. Anything running on an electrical current will go haywire when used, due to the unique magnetic field."
"Wouldn't that be...well...harmful to us then?" asked Tsubaki.
"Not at all. The wavelength will pass through our bodies with no harm done. Trust me," said Stein with his glasses shining, "I performed several….experiments."
The others shivered under his gaze.

Meanwhile, our three ninja, caught up in their conversation, passed the trap on the second floor without even looking at it, and were now scaling the steps to the third floor.
"...Did you get taller?"
It was true. Since they'd returned from Wave, Naruto'd been eating "healthier" (A.K.A. anything except ramen). With the change in diet, and some assistance from a certain Kitsune, the blond stood at an even 5'0".
"I dunno', maybe."
"Hn."
"Oi!"
The three nin looked back to see a spandex-clad genin with eyebrows the size of caterpillars.
"You must be very powerful to resist that genjutsu back there!" yelled the nin enthusiastically, "Your youthfulness must shine like a thousand suns!"
The three looked at each other quizzically, before looking back at the odd boy.
"...What?"
"You're Uchiha Sasuke correct? The current 'Rookie of the Year'?"
Sasuke unconsciously straightened his back and puffed out his chest a bit.
"Yes! I am!"
The nin slid into a fighting stance, "Then I request a match!"
Sasuke activated his Sharingan, and slipped into the traditional Uchiha "Intercept" stance.
"Bring it," he motioned, eyes swirling.

Sakura had Sasuke's arm slung over her shoulder, supporting him in place of his, now sprained, ankle.
"You barely lasted 30 seconds, teme," muttered Naruto.
"Shut it, dobe."

Patty stared out in fascination at the layer of clouds below, stuffed giraffe clutched under one arm.
"Look sis! That one looks like a giraffe!"
Liz sighed, and removed her sleep-mask, following her little sister's finger to see….
"Patty, that's the third time you said a cloud looked like a giraffe! It's just another blob!" she said, before putting her eye-mask back into place.
Kid soon joined her in blissful sleep, unable to tolerate the shape of the asymmetric cloud.
Anyway...
The row to their left consisted of Stein, Spirit, Sid, his partner Nygus, and a sleeping Marie.
The row to the left of them had Tsubaki and Black*Star, both of whom had dozed off as well. His head lay on her shoulder as he muttered nonsense in his sleep; it was an interesting sight indeed.
Meanwhile, Maka appeared to be reading through a rather thick novel, while Soul had headphones on, Justin Law style.
But, if you were paying attention to the ash-blonde girl, you'd notice the unmistakable dull glow of a phone behind the book's near-opaque pages.
"Attention Passengers!"
Maka's head shot up.
"We'll be landing in Miami in about 10 minutes! Please turn off all electronics during the descent!"
She stared at her phone, thinking of (possibly) years of going without using it.
She closed the apps, gazed at her wallpaper for about half a minute, and turned it off.
Spirit, awake behind her, caught a glimpse at the one picture they took on their last visit…
An image of a much younger Maka, and the little blonde boy that was her first friend.

Hey guys! Sorry not much happened this time around, just a bit more character development.
But hey! Soon, two old friends will reunite!
'Til Then!
