White Wall

Alex Rider stared at the white wall of his room, his fair hair glinting in the sun that filtered through the window, his pale skin shining.

"He's only fourteen!"

"Nooo!"

"Please! Please don't hurt him!"

"Mr. Blunt, sir?"

"Double 'o' nothing."

"You'll be in no danger."

"She killed your father."

"Scorpia never forgives, Scorpia never forgets."

"Yassen Gregorovich is here."

"I knew your father."

"I don't kill children."

"Cub!"

He closed his eyes.

The voices kept going, reluctant to let him have peace.

"Miss Starbright's visa..."

"Alex, m'boy!"

"No guns."

"You're just a child."

"Druggy."

"Tom?"

"A spy!"

"No one can know…"

He opened his eyes again.

"You are a liar."

"Good bye Alex."

"Kill him."

"Alex."

"Alex."

"Alex?"

"ALEX?"

Alex Rider stared at the white wall… and screamed.
