…...
WITH AZULA AND THE OTHERS
Princess Azula was in the middle of venting her… Frustrations.
"DAMN IT!" Screamed the princess, letting loose a column of azure flames. June watched with some amusement as one of the most dangerous people in the world threw a tantrum. Nyla, being the intelligent lizard she was, took cover a short distance away. The bounty hunter gave a light chuckle.
"Geez, Princess. You must really like this guy." Laughed June. Azula turned on the woman with all of her fury.
"OF COURSE I DO! DO YOU REALLY THINK I WOULD PUT UP WITH YOUR ANNOYING PRESENCE FOR THIS LONG IF I DIDN'T!?" Screamed the girl. Ty Lee had taken this chance to flee to a safe distance, along with Mai. June, however, wasn't afraid of this spoiled little girl.
"Hey, I'm trying to help you here. The least you could do is show me a little respect." Said June, deciding she'd had enough of this.
"RESPECT!? RESPECT!? YOU TALK TO ME ABOUT RESPECT, BUT DO YOU EVEN KNOW THE MEANING OF THE WORD!?" Screamed the pissed off girl.
"If this is how you always act when something doesn't go your way, I can see why this guy left." Said June, making probably one of the biggest mistakes she ever has.
"Oh, shit." Whispered Ty Lee, with Mai mirroring her thoughts, but keeping a stoic visage. They could both agree on one thing. June better hope the princess don't want to use her as target practice.
"How dare you." Said Azula, glaring at June. Her hands lit with blue fire, and released a volley of the deadly, yet beautiful fireballs.
June's eyes widened as she dodged the fireballs. It vaguely dawned on her that maybe, just maybe, she went a little too far.
"Oh, God, I hope I survive this." Thought June, taking cover behind a tree.
THE DARKROOM
"We have given you new abilities to assist you in your mission." Claimed the Skrell.
"What kind of 'abilities?'" Asked Senshi, eyeing the shrouded woman with a raised brow.
"We have made you similar to us." Answered the dark spirit. "While you do not have perfect control over the shadows, as we do, the darkness will be much more accommodating for you than others. In some cases, it may bend to your will, but darkness is immaterial. The most you could do would be to melt into the shadow to escape, or create illusions. But remember, you can only do this in an incredibly dark area, such as a cave, or at night."
"Wouldn't that make me a shadowbender?" Asked Senshi, grinning at his new title as the first shadowbender. The Skrell laughed, covering it's 'mouth' with it's hand.
"We suppose, yes that could very well be the truth." Said the creature. "Now, go. We will leave you and your companion on the shores of the boiling rock prison."
"Why there?" Asked the changed warrior.
"That is where you will meet you followers." Said the Skrell. "They were freedom fighters that were captured just recently. If you get there, you can get to the docks, and hijack the prison boat with them on it."
"You've thought of everything, haven't you?" Asked Senshi.
"We have many minds that think of many things."
Yep. Leave it to the Skrell to give a creepy answer like that.
OUTSIDE THE DARKROOM, WITH KIKYO AND COVENANT
Kikyo jumped back when she saw the metal door begin to glow. Senshi stepped through the door, literally, through the door. Kikyo almost began drooling at his new look. Senshi laughed.
"I take it you like the new look?" Asked the man. Kikyo nodded. Senshi laughed, but then became serious. "We're leaving." Kikyo nodded, also becoming serious.
"Where are we going?" Asked Kikyo. Senshi grinned.
"The Boiling Rock." He said. Kikyo's jaw dropped.
"That… Is suicide." She said, but thought: 'And hot.'
WITH AZULA AND THE OTHERS
Nyla's head snapped back up quickly, and June guessed that the lizard caught the smell of her target.
"We got him." Said the bounty hunter.
"Senshi?" Asked both Ty Lee and Azula in sync. Ty Lee grinned at Azula's scowl.
"Yes, it's him." Said June.
THE BOILING ROCK: DOCKS, NIGHT
Iori Kato, or Ghost, to those that know him, straightened his funny looking hat as he was getting ready to bash some skulls together. These firebending pricks were pushing him and his friends around like they were trash. Iori and his friends, Kiara and Rox, were ambushed not long after sabotaging a few of the Fire Nations war machines. They grabbed the young freedom fighters, and shoved them into a small mobile cell with some kind of cult follower. He was kind of a creepy dude, that apparently sacrificed many of the Fire Nation to his violent god.
Now, the four were being pushed towards the gang plank. But then, steam began to rise around them. Nobody could see. The small group stuck together as they heard the sounds of slashing, and splashing water, mixed in with sizzling. The steam cleared, revealing two people. One was a younger woman, wearing all black, with a small, white skull pin in her hair. She held a large clever in one hand, and a long sheath in the other. The man, however, was the one that made Iori tense. He was tall, wearing a nearly terrifying outfit. His white face mask was the very image of death itself. Long, silver hair blew behind the man in a rather dramatic way. There was a rather large sword in his hands, dripping with blood. That's about the point when the cultist dropped to one knee.
"Oh, merciful God of Death. You have freed us from our imprisonment!" Said the cultist, Cedric. "How may your humblest of servants please you?"
The masked man stared at the four, the emotionless mask of death showing nothing. Then, a light chuckle could be heard. The man reached up to his mask, and pulled it away, revealing a young, handsome face.
"I'm no god." Said the boy. "My name is Senshi, and, until recently, I was the son of your enemy."
"Why help us?" Asked Rox, stepping forward, prepared to bend large amounts of boiling water on this "Prince."
"Honestly, I don't know." Said Senshi. "It would probably be safer if I carried on alone, but I was told that I needed your help."
"Oh yeah? By who?" Asked Iori.
"How dare you question a god in such a way!?" Asked Cedric, standing to his full height.
"I thought I told you that I wasn't a god." Said Senshi, becoming annoyed. It seemed that Cedric completely ignored him
"I demand you apologize, at once!" Said Cedric.
"How about, no." Said Iori. He wasn't about to let this damned cultist push him around. Cedric pulled his fist back, and let it fly at Iori, but the practiced martial artist merely redirected the blow, then slammed his palm into Cedric's chest, throwing him on his back. Rox started laughing, and Kiara frowned at her friend's sense of humor. Rox stopped nearly immediately.
"Come on. I'm not here to watch you two fight." Said Senshi. Cedric stood and bowed to the disgraced prince.
"Of course, my lord. I shall let this incident slide." Said the cultist, glaring at Iori.
"Yeah, like you could do anything about it." Said Iori.
"Guys! Look, we're all in the same boat here." Said Rox. Senshi and iori both looked to see that they were, indeed, still on the boat.
"Hah!" The two laughed in unison. They looked at each other, and grinned.
Kiara looked at Senshi with a questioning gaze.
"What is it?" Asked the man.
"Wouldn't it be a good idea to take the prison over? We could gain a great force of allies." Said the young woman.
"I don't think that's a good idea." Said Rox. "Think about it. The prison isn't just filled with enemies of the Fire Nation, but thieves and serial killers as well."
"Yes, but think about it. Those thieves and killers hate the Fire Nation. If anything, we can use them as cannon fodder." Said Iori. Senshi was thinking the same.
"That's it." He said. "We're taking the prison. Iori, Kikyo, and I will infiltrate the eastern wall, while Cedric uses his earthbending to draw attention to himself so Kiara and Rox can proceed to take out guards using the boiling water of this lake."
"Your will be done, God of Death." Claimed Cedric, slamming his fist to his chest.
"Wait, how do we know we can trust you?" Asked Iori, giving Senshi a raking glance.
"Simple." Said Senshi. "If I wanted you out of the picture, I could have just killed you in the steam."
"Come to think of it, he's right." Said Kiara. "And he seems to be well versed in military strategy." Then, a thought struck her. "How did you know our names and elements?" She asked.
"Not the time, let's go." Said Senshi, avoiding the topic. The six went about their different duties, not straying until the end.
BOILING ROCK: ABOUT TEWNTY MINUTES LATER: WARDEN'S OFFICE
Senshi, Iori, and Kikyo had managed to amass a group of prisoners strong enough to overpower the guards, and from the screaming coming from outside, the others were doing their jobs as well. Senshi walked up to the Warden's office, and kicked the door down.
"Who the hell are y-!" The man's words were cut off, along with his head. Senshi cleaned his blade, and placed it back in its sheath that Kikyo had been holding for him.
"I'll give you one thing." Said Iori. "You're a brutal bastard." Senshi grinned down at the body, reminded of his time in the north, when he beheaded that waterbender, but instead of shame, like last time, he was grinning like a madman.
"Sir, the prison is under your control now." Said one of the inmates, bowing to Senshi. The silver haired man nodded.
"Good. Get the men weapons, all that you can find." Said Senshi. "The Fire Nation may try to get the Boiling Rock back, and I want this place protected."
"Sir." Said the man. "If I may be so bold, why don't we just keep going like normal? Let them think they still control the rock. Lock the guards in the cells, steal their armor, and pretend to work here. Then, when the Fire Nation sends more prisoners, we gain a larger fighting force."
"What's your name?" Asked Senshi, impressed with this man's battle knowledge.
"My name is Hakoda, sir." Said the man. He was obviously a Water Tribe warrior. Maybe a southerner?
"You wouldn't happen to know a young man named Sokka, would you?" Asked Senshi.
"He's my son, sir." Said Hakoda.
"Whatever you did raising him, you did good." Said Senshi.
"How do you know my son?" Asked Hakoda, deprived of knowledge from the outside world.
"He defended the Avatar in the battle of the north. He fought valiantly against a stronger force, and came out on top." Said Senshi. Hakoda swelled with pride for his son. Maybe he did do good on his own, after all. No… Not alone. He had his sister and the Avatar. Speaking of Katara."
"What about my daughter, Katara?" Asked Hakoda.
"Honestlt, she had the Prince of the Fire Nation on the ropes." Said Senshi. "And she probably would have won, if they weren't interrupted."
"So, looks like they don't need me, after all." Said Hakoda, smiling sadly.
"Don't be stupid." Said Senshi. "They're doing this for you. To make you proud. That's all a child really wants to do for their father." Hakoda nodded, and excused himself from the room.
Cedric suddenly enters with Kiara and Rox behind him, smiling like they'd just won the lottery.
"Master." Said Cedric, falling to his knees in a praying position. "We have one the Rock over. You honor us with your presence."
"No." Said Senshi, smiling. "You honor me, my friends."
…...
A/N: Thought this was a good place to stop. What'd you think about my little surprise at the end there? I'm like a freaking time lord. I always have a plan.
