Okay, that last one's a joke, but come on! "Hello Darkness, my old friend…" Hah!
This is just kind of a short little chapter to help Rox and Ty Lee's relationship grow.
….
"Pleeeeaaaase!" Whined Ty Lee, whom was tied to tree in the middle of a clearing that the group had managed to escape to.
"No." Said Senshi, for the tenth time since she woke up. He wasn't about to untie someone so dangerous. Everyone else was sleeping around the small campfire, and it was Senshi's turn at guard duty.
"Come on, I won't try anything." The girl pouted.
"Bullshit. And besides, it'll be Rox's watch here soon." Said Senshi, crossing his arms. He watched in amusement as Ty Le perked up at this. She gets attached to people way too quickly. Senshi stood, and walked over to the sleeping giant to wake him.
"Hmm? What?" Rox sat up, and tried to figure out where he was for a moment. He looked up at Senshi, and recognition showed on his face. "My watch?" He asked. Senshi nodded, and helped the waterbender to his feet.
"Hey, cutey! You're awake!" Grinned Ty Lee happily.
SOMEWHERE IN A MOUNTAINOUS AREA
Sokka felt a shiver go down his back.
"What's wrong, Sokka?" Asked Aang.
"I don't know." Said Sokka. "I just feel like I just lost something."
WITH ROX AND TY LEE
Rox was very uncomfortable at the moment. Ty Lee not only kept on trying to get him to untie her, but she was leering at him suggestively. He's not exactly accustomed to getting this kind of attention from a pretty girl like Ty Lee. Back in his home in the Northern Water Tribe, he was a member of one of the lower working class families, along with Kiara, whom has been one of his best friends for years. They've never taken it any farther than friendship, and Rox was just fine with that. He's seen the way Kiara and Iori act around each other. They're both just too damn stubborn.
"Come over here and talk to me!" Said Ty Lee, pouting at the large Northerner. Rox sighed. He realized That the only way to get the girl to stop talking, is to either pull a Senshi(Knock her out), or give her what she wants. Picking up the stone he was using as a chair, Rox sat in front of Ty Lee.
"What did you want to talk about?" Asked the large teenager. Ty Lee thought about it for a moment, and then grinned.
"Kiara sure did put Iori through the wringer, didn't she?" Ty Lee giggled at that. Rox couldn't help but smile.
EARLIER THAT DAY
"How did you get so many cuts on your hands!?" Asked Kiara, grabbing Iori's wrists and inspecting his palms. The other five(Including Ty Lee) were watching the two interact, making bets on which one of the two would make the first move.
"Hey, let's see you try catching fifty knives hurled at you by a professional knife thrower and come out of it unscathed." Said the martial artist, jerking his hands back a bit from the slight stinging sensation.
"You promised me that you wouldn't get hurt anymore." Said the girl, using her bending to heal his cuts. Iori's eyes softened.
"I know, Kiara, but it was either that, or watch you guys die." Iori looked into Kiara's. "I would rather suffer all of the Fire Nations armies, than watch you die." The two of them looked like they were going in for the kiss, until they were interrupted by Ty Lee's sniffling.
"THAT'S SO BEAUTIFUL!" The acrobat cried from her place, bound to the tree, anime style tears running down her cheeks.
PRESENT TIME
"Have they always been that obvious?" Asked Ty Lee. Rox smirked.
"Actually, it's been getting worse. I'm surprised they aren't already together by now." Said the large man.
"Tell me about yourself, Rox." Said Ty Lee, leaning in as close as she could, being tied to a tree, and all.
"Not much to tell, really." Said Rox. "I'm from a lower class family, I had a lower class job, and high class ambitions."
"How did you become a freedom fighter?" Asked Ty Lee.
" My father was just a fisherman, and I worked on one of the fishing boats. I did all the heavy lifting. Kiara was the healer on the boat. We all went out a little farther than we were supposed to. A huge storm caught us by surprise, and our boat went off course." Rox stopped to take a breath. "We were lost at sea for several days. It just so happened that we managed to dock at the Earth Kingdom village that Iori was passing through. He convinced Kiara and myself to help him out, and the rest is history." Rox looked at Ty Lee for a moment. "How about you? How are you so chummy with the Princess of the Fire Nation?"
"Well." Ty Lee searched for where to start. "When I was younger, I had six sisters. We all looked alike, so I kind of felt like nobody would notice me. I met Azula and Mai at the Fire Nation Girls Academy. I ran away to join the circus when I got older so people would notice me. I went back home a couple years later, and decided to help Azula find Senshi. That's pretty much all. Any questions?"
"I don't see how you could feel nobody would notice you." Said Rox.
"What do you mean?" Asked Ty Lee, confused by Rox's statement.
"Well, for one, you're way too adorable to miss." Said Rox, beginning to check off his fingers. "You're a welcome ray of sunshine, you can hold your own in a fight, Actually, I can only really think of good things about you." Ty Lee beamed at Rox's praise. She looked at his aura for a moment: He had a soft blue aura, which meant that he was truthful, intuitive, peaceful, and he had little trouble communicating with others. That means that everything he just told her was the truth. Ty Lee grinned as she got an evil idea.
"Do you like me?" Asked Ty Lee. Rox froze, eyes wide. He began sweating.
"Um, uh. I don't know how to answere that." Said the spooked boy, looking at anything but Ty Lee.
"Just say yes or no." Said a hopeful Ty Lee.
"Well, of course I like you." Said Rox, hoping to drop the subject.
"No, do you like like me?" Asked the acrobat. Rox sighed, before nodding.
"Yeah, I think I do, actually." Rox looked up, and was met with probably one of the largest grins he'd ever seen.
"Good! Because I like you too!" Said Ty Lee, smiling so hard, she was forcing her eyes closed.
….
A/N: And done. I know, evil for me to end so soon, but like I said, this was just to help Ty Lee and Rox grow as a pairing.
I pulled off the information for the aura from a site called , in case anyone was curious.
Oh, hey. Before I forget, I'm starting a poll on whether or not Ty Lee should be a dormant airbender or not. Please vote.
R&R, people. Your reviews give me power.
