Hey guys! Sorry I haven't updated. I've been working on this chapter and the next chapter. This next chapter there will be epic stuff... It's so epic, I don't think I'll be able to write it all by my self. Along with this, though, I'm working on the new chapter for DSWY, and I'm also working on a new adventure story. I have a feeling that you'll like it. Sorry I've been busy! I hope it all pays off :)

Yugi's POV

(a little flashback)

Yugi knew that someone was with him while he slept, but he had no idea who. There were many things Yugi had heard after he had fought bravely against his other self. He now knew that his other self was the one to be careful around;luckily he shouldn't have to worry about him, seeing as how he had, barely, beaten him in a spiritual match. He couldn't really recall the specifics of what happened, his mind was too foggy.

He was exhausted, and grabbed at the opportunity to sleep. When someone had sat down next to him, he briefly wondered which of his friends that had been with him, were sitting next to him; he pushed that though away when he remembered his companionship with Yami.

Oh how he missed Yami; he'd been gone away from him for so long, and Yugi didn't know when he would see or hear from him again. He had only heard him the one time, in his head, shortly before he talked to Seto Kaiba and Yami Bakura.

He missed his voice, his helping and reassuring words. His face, even. Yugi wondered briefly about when the pharaoh would leave to go to the After Life. That made his heart ache. With this thought, and a sudden weight on his chest, probably from the person who was next to him, he felt that little bit of reassurance. The reassurance calmed him, and he fell into a light sleep.

XXXXX

Yugi didn't know how long he had been sleeping, but when he became alert, the weight on his chest had disappeared, but the warmth still lingered; but what had really got him was a different hand grasping his.

A voice whispered his name, one that he recognized.

He thought he was hearing things, and the hand disappeared from his. He then felt a little unnerved when the same, soft hand held onto his once more, the familiar voice calling to him again.

"Yugi...?"

Yugi chanced opening his eyes. His eyes were blurry from his sleep, but a figure was there.

"Yugi, it's me, Yami..."

Yugi's eyes came into focus then, and he saw him. Yami, not in spirit form, but with an actual body of his own. And he was holding his hand.

"Y-Yami?" Yugi stammered, voice croaking as he hadn't used it in a while.

Yugi could see Yami's eyes sparkle with happiness.

"Yes,"

Yugi could feel himself smiling, despite the pain of doing so. "It's good to see you," Yugi murmured.

Yami nodded, smiling, "Same; I was worried about you. Tea, Tristan, Joey, and everyone else, too."

Yugi frowned a little. He didn't like making people worry. "I'm sorry..."

Yami frowned too, a concerned look crossing his features. "Don't be sorry, Yugi."

"I am, though,"

"Don't be," Yami interrupted, "All that matters is that you're alive."

Yugi furrowed his brows in confusion. He couldn't recall ever being in danger on the outside... There was his other self, but that was it.

"Uh... I was dying out here, too?" Yugi asked, not sure where his thoughts were. His head was fuzzy, and ached. It seemed that the more he tried to think about specific details, or recall something, he would pull a complete blank. Perhaps he was still exhausted? He had never done that before, but at least he still had some of his thoughts still pieced together.

Yugi saw Yami raise an eyebrow; "Out here?" he questioned, "What do you mean...?"

Yugi frowned and sighed, "Well... I thought it was just a spiritual battle..." he replied, more to himself than to Yami.

It was true, now that Yugi thought about it. He just couldn't recall recent events. He barely even remembered that Sora was evil... or Ryou and everyone's chat about... about... what?

"Whoa, what?" Yami sounded, "Explain, Yugi."

Yugi sighed, trying his best to remember the details, and how it was best to explain to Yami.

"It was like a dream at first," he began, "I was in the Wayther's room with Ryou and the others. The dream... my other self needs my energy to stay in this world... It soon became a battle of who could win and take the others life energy."

"Life energy?"

"It's what he needs."

"Yugi," Yami began, "You do know that he isn't you, right?"

Yugi blinked, memory loss forcing him to think back to the vision.

"He is; he came out of me..."

Yami sighed, "He was using you as a vessel. His real name is Oni, and he's from Mariku's past... Apparently he can look like the person he comes out of."

Yugi gasped a little as a tiny flood of memories came back to him. The talk he had with Ryou and the others, why he was in the hospital ward, all of it came flooding back, and he needed to take a second to recover from it. Even though it wasn't that much that came back to him, it still swamped him; and in his condition, it was rather harsh to do that to his brain when he was still recovering.

He had to wonder though, if that kind of memory loss would happen to him again.

With the information though, about this Oni guy, he felt a little relief that Oni wasn't actually him, though. He was a little uncertain about finding out he was from Mariku's past, though. He decided to think about that later; he may already know, and just still have memory loss... he didn't know.

"I guess all that's left now, is to defeat Oni."

"And Sora and Mira's evil spirits," Yami added.

Yugi nodded in agreement, "Then we need to get the Items, and everyone else back to our time."

Suddenly feeling tired, he slid down back into a sleeping position, but had his eyes still trained on Yami.

"Yes, about that," Yami said, "All the Waythers are kidnapped people."

Yugi's eyes widened; this was definitely something he hadn't heard before.

"Mia told me there are only two time zones. This one, and our time. All the Waythers came from our time, but from different places around the world."

Yugi blinked, "Well..." he thought, "We'll gather everyone up and bring them with us, I guess..." He trailed off, thinking about the person who had told this to Yami.

"Also, you said someone named Mia told you this...?"

"You mean, you haven't met Mia...?" Yami asked; before Yugi could answer, he turned away and disappeared behind the curtains.

Yugi didn't know how long Yami intended to be, so he tried his best to think back to earlier events.

He felt a flash of pain in his head. He tried to squint his eyes to take away some of the pain; as he did so, a tiny, almost inaudible voice sounded in Yugi's head. A brief memory.

I'm coming for you, Yugi Muto...

Then, the voice was gone, the memory faded, and the pain disappeared.

The voice gave Yugi the chills, even though it was a memory, it felt like someone was telling that to him now.

Then, he realized who's voice it was, and there was no doubt in his mind. It was Oni's voice.

Then, Yami reentered, but this time, a small girl was with him. She was really pretty for someone around her age; she had ocean blue eyes, light orange hair, and a set of freckles. She seemed to be able to pull these features together, and pull it off. So far, her appearance was interesting; especially when she only appeared to be about four or five years of age.

"Yugi, this is Mia. Mia...Yugi."

"Nice to meet you!" Mia exclaimed, blue eyes sparkling with delight.

Yugi couldn't help but smile at her; he'd never met anyone who was so excited to meet him before.

"Nice to meet you too," Yugi answered with a genuine smile.

Yugi then watched Yami take a seat next to him in a plastic chair that he didn't know was there before.

Once he sat down, he continued the conversation where they left off.

"Yugi, I think... Mia may be able to help us."

"With what?"

The little girl, Mia, was suddenly blocking his view of Yami.

"May I?" she asked him; Yugi didn't see if Yami did anything in response, but she climbed into his lap, and faced towards Yugi.

When they were both situated, Yugi tried so hard not to laugh. The whole thing was cute, really, and Yugi had a hard time taking Yami seriously. It actually looked like Yami had a little sister, or a daughter.

The only thing Yugi could really do, was just focus on Yami, but he raised his eyebrow at Mia's action. He was actually very curious as to how Yami hit it off with her.

At Yugi's action, Yami shrugged, before continuing where they left off in the conversation once more, though, Mia's gaze kept wandering.

"I don't know what, I just had a feeling she could help us."

Yugi did what he could to keep a straight face as Mia kept smiling when she occasionally glanced back at Yami.

"Oh, did you have something specific in mind?"

Yami was about to reply, but there was some commotion outside the curtains.

Yugi could see Mia almost jump in fright at the sudden noise, and Yami turned with a surprised and concerned facial expression. He and Mia both got up and exited the curtained room and into the sudden chaos behind it.

XXXXX

"Yugi, we're leaving now." Yami's voice sounded as he shoved the curtains aside forcefully. Mia was walking beside him, a worried expression clear on her face.

"Why?" Yugi asked, surprised.

There was a fierce knocking and pounding that seemed to answer his question. Yugi wasn't sure why he didn't hear it before.

"Yugi, it's Oni and Mira," Mia said worriedly.

Yugi's heart started to race; this was it. Oni was coming for him just like he had said he would.

Yugi couldn't get up yet, though. He was still recovering from his inner battle with Oni, and outer battle with life.

"Yami, I can't-"

"I know," Yami interrupted, "I'm gonna carry you,"

"You're gonna what?!" Yugi's eyes widened in surprise.

"I know," Yami repeated, "But it's the only way,"

Yugi gulped. It seemed so weird still. The Pharaoh had never been able to touch him until now. And to top it all off, the Pharaoh was carrying him. A Pharaoh wouldn't normally do that.

"No time to sit there, Yugi!" Mia shouted in a high-pitched, kid voice.

"Mia's right, Yugi." Yami moved the blankets aside, leaving Yugi feeling kind of cold. He was in one of those dresses that patients wear, only he was glad to feel that they had kept his underwear on underneath. He'd have to change, but now was not the time.

"Come on," Yami urged, and held out his arms.

Yugi knew it would be very awkward; and Yami seemed to notice this, so he turned away from him, and knelt by the bed instead.

"Piggy back ride!" Mia squealed, running around in small circles.

Yugi still felt awkward, but shook it off when he heard the intensified pounding on the metal door, and confused yells coming from the people outside the curtain.

"Yugi! Hurry!" Yami hissed desperately.

Yugi then sighed and threw his arms around Yami's neck. When Yami stood, Yugi was dragged fully off the bed, and Yami quickly secured his legs to his sides.

"Mia! Let's head out!" Yami shouted above the pounding.

"Right!" Mia agreed, sudden excitement and determination showing in her expression.

When they exited the curtains, they found Ishizu giving orders. When she saw them, she quickly pulled them into a small group. "Ok, we're going to split into three different groups. That way, at least, we stand more of a chance against them."

Yugi blinked, teams? What would that accomplish? He thought.

"On my team, I'll have Yami, Mia, Marik and Bakura,"

"What about Yugi?" Yami piped up.

"He'll be on my team," Sora said, "If I'm away from him, I'll be against you instead of with you, in the fight."

"Right," Ishizu agreed, "And on Sora's team, Ryou will help her lead, and Yugi Kali and Shiro will accompany them."

Ishizu turned to the remainder of the group, "Odion, Mikki, Kaiba and Mariku will be a group as well, but they will be holding Mira and Oni off as best as they can to give the rest of us a head start."

When Mikki's name was mentioned, she seemed to suddenly realize something.

"Yugi!" she squealed, heading for Yami's back.

"You remember me right? I stuck with your word, and I remembered to go to Yami!"

Yugi gave a nervous laugh, and gave a small nod. Oh he remembered it all right. It was the day that he screwed everything up. And when he was taking himself back to his own home. He remembered telling Mikki and Shiro that if they needed help, to find Yami if they couldn't find him. It seemed they stuck true to their word.

Yami looked over his shoulder and gave him a quizzical look, but Yugi shook his head, signaling that now was not the time.

With a nod, he turned back to Ishizu, "Who'll hold Yugi then, if I'm not with him? He can't walk on his own just yet..."

"I'll hold him," Ryou offered.

Yugi nodded, he would be ok with Ryou carrying him. It was still a little odd that the Pharaoh was giving him a 'piggy back ride' or so that's what Mia had said it was.

"We have to leave now," Sora pressed, looking nervously at the metal door. Dents were already starting to appear from the banging that the two outside the door had been making.

"Oni is every strong, as is Mira's spirit. With their two strengths combined, they could have easily knocked the door down by now."

"Are you suggesting they want us to escape?" Yugi asked.

Sora nodded, "And give chase. I suspect they want to drive us into a corner. Somewhere that we can't escape."

Yugi thought a moment, "Where would that place be? Do you have any guesses, Sora?"

Sora hesitated for a moment, unsure. "There are many places in this castle... Even hidden passage ways and trap doors. It's impossible to avoid all of them," Sora explained, then added quickly, "I grew up here and even I haven't been able to explore every inch of this place."

"Well that... makes it a little complicated..." Yugi said, sighing.

"I know," she murmured, "But, I do think I know a safe place we can go."

Just as Yugi was about to respond, a voice distracted them all.

"I know you're in there Yugi Muto! I promise you, I'm gonna get you. You just wait!"

Yugi gritted his teeth. Sure enough, it was Oni.

"You won't get far, we'll catch you, and you know it." Mira's voice sounded.

Yugi was slightly relieved to know that it was deeper, and older sounding, thus telling him that it was in fact, Mira's spirit who was talking, and not Mira herself.

Yugi's gave automatically trained on Sora. What surprised him was that she didn't seem too surprised by Mira or her statement.

"We should probably leave," Ishizu remarked.

Yami and Yugi both nodded in agreement.

"Yugi, you think you can handle getting on my back by yourself?" Ryou asked as he walked up beside Yami.

Yugi thought a moment. He could really only use some of his upper body strength. He didn't even want to try to stand though, he was still feeling a little fuzzy in his head. He crinkled his eyebrows, trying to think of a way he could make this work.

"Yugi," Ryou began, "I'm gonna stand right next to Yami-"

"And you can grab hold of Ryou's neck and swing over," Yami finished for him.

When Yugi nodded at this plan, Mikki's voice called over, "If you want out of here so you can get a head start, you're gonna need to hurry it up and get outta here. The hinges of the door look like they're about to give out."

"Let's hurry then," Ryou said, turning his back towards Yugi.

"Right," Yugi said, taking a deep breath.

The last thing he wanted to do was injure himself further at such a critical time.

"Here, let me help you," Yami said, letting go of one of his legs and grabbing a hold of his wrist. He quickly leaned towards Ryou, and moved his hand to Ryou's shoulder.

Yugi gasped at the sudden movement, but quickly grabbed hold of Ryou, swapping his body from Yami's back to Ryou's.

When Yugi was safely aboard Ryou, Yami gave the signal for everyone to go their separate ways.

"Odion, Mariku, Kaiba, Mikki, you stay and try to hold them off like planned." Ishizu declared, then gathered her group: Yami, Mia, Marik and Bakura, and exited through the emergency exit.

Ryou, Kali, Yugi, Sora and Shiro followed soon after they disappeared. When they both exited, the teams went in opposite directions, Yugi's group heading further into the castle, while Yami's group headed further out.

As Ryou continued on at the head of the group, Yugi kept glancing down the other hallways they passed. The hallways were all very similar. Red carpet, regular white, concrete walls, paintings of past rulers, and empty spaces for future ones. Despite all his past explorations on his own, while Sora was asleep in her room, there was still so many places he hadn't been yet. Although it seemed Ryou was the leader, Sora was giving him directions.

"Where is it that we're headed, Sora?" Shiro asked as he ran along side Kali.

Sora looked back from her small lead ahead of them, "I have a specific place in mind... but I haven't fully explored it yet."

Yugi turned his head to look at her in alarm. Before he could respond, however, Sora had noticed his expression.

"I'm almost one-hundred percent certain that Mira and Oni haven't heard of it... actually, this one is probably the only one that I know of that I haven't told Mira about."

Yugi nodded in understanding. As did everyone else in the group.

"How far is it, do you think?" Kali asked, panting a little from everyone's current run.

"Sora shrugged, "It shouldn't be that far,"

Ryou nodded, "Just tell me where to turn and when to stop."

XXXXXXX

"Stop, Ryou," Sora said, breathless. Everyone was breathless now; they had passed many hallways and gone through many doors. They had been running longer than they thought they would. It seemed that this castle was a fair amount larger than what they first thought.

"Why did we stop?" Shiro managed to breathe out.

Everyone turned to look at Sora, who was now in the front of the group next to Yugi and Ryou. They had stopped in the middle of a long hallway, that seemed to take them forever to get out of. It just seemed to stretch further, and further, and further every time they seemed to get closer to a corner.

Instead of answering Shiro, she walked over to the wall next to them, and pressed her ear to the still white concrete. She knocked on the wall here and there until she, and everyone else, heard a hollow sound when she knocked on a particular area.

Sora then reached up above her head, and pushed on the space really hard. To Yugi's amazement, the space on the wall she pushed on, pushed in further than the rest of the wall; soon, the concrete space her body was up against slid upwards, revealing a long tunnel. Only one torch was there at the entrance. Yugi didn't bother to think how there was even a lit torch inside a secret tunnel, but merely grabbed it from his perch upon Ryou's back as they all filed in.

The tunnel was rather dark and small, only room for people to walk in single file, but it soon grew wide enough so that they could all bunch up together on either side of Ryou.

Sora pushed past all of them, though, pointing excitedly at the treasures she had discovered when she first set foot in the secret passage way.

Soon, however, she came to a stop next to a small, gold statue of a woman in armor.

"This was as far as I had gone. I don't know what lies beyond this point." she said, nervously.

Kali gave her a quick hug, "That's alright. We can explore together." Sora smiled briefly, and murmured a thanks.

Yugi smiled a little at their actions. And to think, in his vision, Sora was one of her worst enemies... though, he supposed it would be easier to forgive someone if you knew it wasn't actually them. And, he then realized how Kali got out alive. It wasn't Sora's doing at all. Sora never saved her or touched her. It was Mira. Mira had saved Kali.

Yugi smiled when he realized that it was because of him being there that Mira had the small amount of strength to take control of herself and get Kali to safety.

Wait... How did I just think this? Did I know this before? Or... did someone tell me this? I'm so confused... How did I suddenly know that?

Yugi squeezed his eyes shut as a sudden wave of pain shot through his head. He rested his head on Ryou's shoulder, hoping to bear through the pain so he could help his friends.

"What are we standing around here for? Let's go!" Shiro shouted, a little too loudly, in excitement. This caused Yugi's ears to ring with pain, he quickly gave the torch to Ryou, and let go of Ryou's neck to clutch at his ears.

Ryou didn't notice this, however, he was too focused on watching Shiro shoot off into the darkness. Shiro had pushed past his sister and cousin, and raced on ahead.

"No!" Sora and Kali shouted in unison. "It's dark! We don't know what's ahead! Come back!" Kali ordered her little brother.

There was a small whine from somewhere up ahead.

"Come back right now!" Sora barked angrily.

There was a sigh. Then there was a click,. Then a rumble, which was followed by a blood curdling scream.

"Shiro!" Yugi exclaimed, ears ringing even worse than before at the scream; the scream had caused him to wince with pain.

Kali and Sora didn't say a word, but ran as hard as they could to reach Shiro. "Guys!" Yugi yelled as Ryou followed.

"I have the light!" Ryou sounded, "You can't see if-"

A rumble cut him off, and soon, there was another pain of even higher pitched screaming.

Yugi couldn't help but make of pain, as he started to feel dizzy and tired. He felt like he may pass out.

"Ryou, we gotta-"

"Tread with caution," Ryou cut him off.

"But Sora, Kali and Shiro-"

"We'll reach them, but running blindly isn't the answer. If we want to be of any use to them, we have to keep ourselves safe."

Yugi sighed, worry and guilt getting to him.

Ryou and Yugi, however, didn't have to get very far to see what had happened. There was a hole not far away, a large rock covering the hole, and there was an opening in the ceiling.

"W-what happened?" Yugi asked, shivering at the devastation.

"My guess," Ryou began, "Would be that Shiro ran on ahead and fell into that hole. When Sora and Kali ran through, they stepped on something that triggered the ceiling to open, and a rock to fall and roll behind them, leaving them to either be crushed, or to take their chances on the big hole."

Yugi blinked, "That sounds... pretty accurate..."

Yugi felt Ryou shrug, "Dunno if it happened that way; it was just a theory."

"Mmm," Yugi agreed, "I guess we'll have to be extra careful around here then."

"Agreed,"

"We'll have to get around this rock..." Yugi stated.

"Think you could try walking?" Ryou suggested.

Yugi tensed up a little, unsure if it was such a good idea... but if it needed to be done in order to get the others to safety then so be it. Yugi then nodded to Ryou.

Ryou then carefully lowered him to the ground, not daring to let go of him until he was sure Yugi was alright to stand by himself.

When Ryou turned, Yugi was leaning heavily on Ryou's shoulder, trying to get used to holding his own weight again.

When Yugi took in a few deep breaths, and felt no pain, he stopped leaning on Ryou. When he felt alright, no pain, he gestured to the rock.

Ryou looked at him with uncertainty. Yugi would have been uncertain, too, but he remembered it was only a spiritual war with Oni, and he didn't lose. He just needed to rest, which he had gotten plenty of.

"Go ahead, Ryou," he urged.

Ryou hesitated, but started to climb atop the rock when Yugi crossed his arms, waiting.

It didn't take long for Ryou to get to the top of the rock.

"Yugi, it's not too bad of a climb. Just start to climb and I'll pull you up and over the rest of the way."

Yugi nodded, he agreed with Ryou on it not being too steep, judging by it's size and how long it had taken Ryou to climb.

Yugi approached the rock, and grabbed a hold of a chip in the rock. A little at a time, Yugi was able to hoist his small and fragile body up the rock.

Not even half way, Ryou held out his hand; when Yugi grabbed it, Ryou hoisted him up, just like he said he would. Ryou and Yugi then proceeded to slide down the other side.

Yugi was a little breathless, but carried on. Ryou helped Yugi up and then both started down the tunnel.

It had become narrower again; they would have to walk single file.

"Ryou...? What about Sora, Kali, and Shiro?"

Ryou sighed, "We can't move the rock by ourselves, we'll need help... we'll have to come back for them."

Yugi looked behind him with a sad expression.

"I hope they're ok..."

There was a moment of silence before they pressed on.

"There may be something down here that can help us," Ryou said thoughtfully.

"Maybe..." Yugi sighed.

Ryou suddenly stopped, causing Yugi to bump into him.

"Ryou, what is it?"

"A death trap." Ryou stated.

"A what!?" Yugi asked in alarm, pushing to see past Ryou.. When he did see, there was nothing there. The hallway looked as normal as it had been so far.

"Not funny, now's not the time for jokes." Yugi said. He must be paranoid... or really mean to make a joke like that after what just happened. He thought.

"No, Yugi-"

Yugi ignored him, and pushed past.

"No!" Ryou shouted as Yugi got past him.

Too late. Yugi failed to see the massive amounts of camouflaged buttons that were displayed on the floor; and he was standing on two of them.

Two big red buttons, and two separate, big trap doors. One for Ryou, and one for himself.

He screamed; Ryou screamed. They both screamed so loud they both heard each other from their separate trap doors and they fell through the floor. His headache began again from the screams.

It all ended however, with a big thump as Yugi hit the bottom.

XXXX

Yami's POV

"So... where are we going?" Mia asked.

"Dunno..." Yami answered.

"Just shut up, both of you," Marik snapped. "She's been asking that way to often."

"No you shut up," Mia replied, sticking her tongue out at him.

"Yami, you have ten seconds to make the brat shut the fuck up before I throw her out a window." Bakura snarled.

"Yami! Bakura's being mean to me!" Mia exclaimed, starting to tear up; she hid behind Yami as they walked.

"I'm being serious," Bakura barked.

"She isn't doing anything wrong, Bakura," Yami argued.

"She's pissing me off!"

"And me!" Marik added.

"Like Yami said, I'm not trying to annoy you, I'm trying to figure out what's going on!" Mia shouted.

"Keep your voice down, Mia. We're inside..." Yami said, trying to calm her down.

"She's yelling at us! How could she not be doing anything wrong!?" Marik shouted.

"She's five! Lay off!" Yami screamed, quickly losing his patience.

"Why do you take her side all the time?" Bakura growled.

"I'm not taking her side! Even though she's little, she does bring up good points!" Yami responded.

"I don't give a shit about points! I just want her to shut the fuck up so that we can actually get to where we're supposed to be going!" Bakura yelled, stopping to get into Yami's face.

"We are getting to where we're supposed to be! You just had to start this whole thing so that we'd all fall behind so that you could emphasize your point!"

"There you go with fucking points again, Yami! It's always about you, and it's always about how you're right, and we're wrong! We're wrong all the time!" Bakura growled.

Yami narrowed his eyes dangerously. He was very close to losing all his patience, and snapping this fucker's neck.

"I'm not always right!" Yami yelled.

"Yes! You are! You say that constantly!"

"No I don't!"

"Yes you do!"

"No!"

"Yes!"

"No!"

"Yes!"

"ALL OF YOU SHUT THE FUCK UP!" Ishizu screamed. Then, in a lower, scarier voice, she added, "If you all don't knock it off right now, we're all going to die. I want to live, if you haven't noticed. So I'd appreciate no arguing. If you argue any further, I'm going to throw you ALL outside in the freezing weather, and make you starve and freeze to death. Got that?"

Everyone gulped. Yami admitted that Ishizu had her scary moments. It was even scarier when she said it in a controlled voice like she did.

It was silent for a moment; no one talked or even moved a muscle. Then, Mia broke the silence.

"I'm dorry Miss Ishizu. I promise I'll be good." she whispered in a low voice, clutching onto Yami's pants.

"I'm sorry as well, Ishizu," Yami apologized, "I lost my patience, and that's something that almost never happens. It won't happen again."

"M'sry Ishizu," Marik whispered, not making eye contact.

Ishizu then turned to Bakura, awaiting an apology.

When nothing came from him, Ishizu walked up to him, and raised her eye brow.

Bakura, it seemed, could not just ignore it. As he found that she was indeed, very scary.

"My apologies..." he grumbled, avoiding eye contact.

"Much better," Ishizu said, raising her head in authority.

"Let's get going," she added, and walked along.

Yami and Mia exchanged glances, but continued walking.

"Umm, Miss Ishizu?" Mia began, this time clutching Yami's hand.

Ishizu turned back, her face softening a bit, "Yes, dear?"

"I don't mean to sound rude, but... do you know where you're going?"

Everyone looked at Mia, eyes widening in surprise. How could she think that that was ok to say right after Ishizu had threatened them?

Ishizu sighed, "Mia, I'm sorry I yelled at you, I lost my patience as well, and I'm sorry for that... but, I'd very much appreciate if you had a little faith in my direction." she said, smiling softly.

Yami saw Marik and Bakura's eyes both grow round, probably with amazement. Yami was amazed too; he didn't think Ishizu would be that gentle... especially when she blew a gasket like she did... but he supposed it was because Mia was a cute little girl who didn't really know right from wrong, so he supposed Ishizu forgave her for that.

As they rounded a corner, Mia piped up, "Because... this way's the dead end..."

Ishizu blinked, and looked in front of her. She growled slightly, and everyone but Mia backed off a little.

"Shit," She whispered.

"That's why I wanted to know, because I know this castle better than you do... and I could get you to where you wanted quicker..."

Ishizu spun around to her. Mia gasped in surprise. Ishizu seemed to be looking at Bakura, Marik and Yami, and a few seconds later, she was lunging for Mia.

"No!" Yami shouted.

"Get behind me, Now!" Ishizu screamed.

Yami's eyes widened. Bakura and Marik didn't question her, but Yami had to chance a look behind him.

Yami's eyes widened when he saw both Mira and Oni standing right behind him. Oni, who looked incredibly like Yugi still, was glaring at all of them.

A glare does not belong on Yugi's features,Yami thought as he backed up.

"See you on the other side, brats." He snarled, before signaling to Mira.

Mira had merely nodded, and punched the wall.

Yami had only a few seconds to realize what was going to happen. When he did, he quickly ran towards everyone and held on to all of them, as if giving them a big group hug. Just as his arms locked around them, the floor gave out, and they were all falling.

Falling, and falling, was all Yami could think about as he braced himself to hit something.

Mia was in tears already, "I'm sorry! I didn't mean for any of this to happen! Please, it's all my fault! They're after me, not you! Please, let me go Yami!" She pleaded. She was crying really hard by now, but Yami shook his head.

"You're one of us, Mia. Whether they're after you or not, we stick together. I made a promise, both to you and to myself that I'd always keep you safe no matter what happened. And that's what I'm doing now."

Mia cried even harder, trying to move out of Ishizu's grip to get to him. She succeeded in wiggling out, and she moved to hug Yami's chest.

"Thank you, Yami. It means a lot to hear someone say that..."

Yami smiled softly, before he finally felt what he'd been expecting. A ground. He let go of everyone except Mia, and swiveled around so that she'd be cushioned with his body, instead of the ground.

When impact occurred, he felt his head hit the ground harshly, and he blacked out.

XXXXXX

Whoa, harsh. :/ Any who. I had only expected to do a Yugi POV, but I wanted you to know what happened with Yami before the next chapter. I threw in an argument because I thought it was hilarious... or at least... it's hilarious in my head XD

Like I said, the next chapter will take a lot of time to do because there will be something in there that takes a lot of work. Please hang in there! The story is almost over... sadly... This next chapter will be a Yugi POV.

A new story will be coming out soon, and adventure one that I think you'll all like. So excited to release it! :D
