A pounding in my head was what I was greeted with when I woke, the thing was though I had no idea how I passed out or even end up in this bed. The bed was lush and the blanket was heavy on top of me the ceiling above display the beauty of space and it was unlike anything I have ever sounds of a slow steady breathing came from next to me causing my heart to slow down and match the strange breathing. I glanced down and noticed an arm slang lazily over my waist on top of the blanket. My eyes followed the arm up to the peaceful face of the Doctor who was snoring lightly against the second pillow near my head. I felt the blood rush into my face as my eyes dashed back down at his arm then to his face. My mouth dried out as I tried to bring myself to speak up or even make a noise to wake him. As I shifted slightly, a shock of pain came to the surface of my forehead causing me to make a disartic movement and grab my head as memories came pushing their way to the front.
The Doctor sat up in a confused daze, looking about as if in a dream, "No not the jammie dodgers...wait what? What's wrong?"
"It feels like something is pushing through..." I cringed grabbing my head, glancing at him before flashing backs of the roof came back.
"Sam, just stay calm, your memories are most likely coming back from what happened on the roof." His voice called out over the replay going on before me as his hands cupped my face.
I watched as the memories came back, myself falling in Jim's blood in tears as Sherlock took the leap, the voice of the Silence that confronted me then vanishing before my eyes. Those memories tried to erase themselves, they tried to disappear causing an even worse rampage in my head. I remember calling the Doctor and his arrival then the mind numbing trip into the Tardis before passing out against him.
"The Silence…They were there." I choked out as my vision focused on the view of the Doctor in front of me.
"The Silence? You have met the Silence and remember? That is amazing!" He beamed happily cupping my face a bit tighter.
"Yeah…Uhh Doctor, whose bedroom is this?" I finally managed to ask, as the blood rushed to my cheeks.
He blinked in surprised and pulling back his hands as his face became red as well and he leaned back a bit more.
"This is my room actually, sorry it is dusty. I hardly come up here." He explained leaning back away from me as if to hide this part of him.
I sat up and looking around taking in the beauty of the room, the walls and ceiling was made of glass and displayed the beauty of space and the cosmos. I gaped up at the scene before me as I slowly crawled out of bed taking in the incredible view.
"This is your bedroom? Doctor it's beautiful." I grinned as I stumbled a bit as if I had sea legs.
"Woah there I got you." He explained jumping over the bed and scoops me up in one arm allowing me to use him as a support.
I gave him a cheeky smile as I looked back up at the sky around us, I notice him look at me from the corner of my eye as I took in the sight.
"So you know the about the Silence?" I asked being the first one to break the silence between us.
"We met the Silence about 5 months ago and man you should have seen it. We met Nixon and a great FBI agent named-Canton Everett Delaware the Third." I finished glancing over at him.
"I can't believe I missed that …I really wanted to met him." I chuckled weakly leaning back against the bed pulling him along with me gently.
"He is a great man, very clever. You would of liked him." He perked up with a grin like a five year old.
I smiled softly before I looked over at him, "So how did I get bathed and changed if I passed out minutes into coming into the Tardis?"
His expression dropped and his cheeks turned a very interesting shade of red, before quickly making eye contact then looking away.
" Amy…made sure you were cleaned up and decent."
"...I'll have to thank her...I didn't want to be covered in that man's blood...Doctor I shot that bastard…" I mumbled holding back a sob.
"...I know Sam, promise me you won't ever do it again." He questioned taking my hands in his and looking at me with those sad eyes.
" I promise."
" let's get you dressed and we will go on a trip. Oh we got lots of planets to show you and Amy and Rory will love for you to come along...They do a lot of kissing and that's no fun." He declared jumping to his feet and making dramatic hand gestures about the adventures soon in the future.
I chuckled softly and looked at him nodding, "Yes we can do that, but first I need to make a stop."
"Ok where to?"
I stood back and watched as John stood by Sherlock's grave giving his little speech to Sherlock who I know was just a few hundred feet away watching the scene unfold. John's body was tense and he was close to being in tears but as a soldier I knew he wouldn't be, so I had to just wait for him to turn around. I arrived about five minutes after they did and The Doctor who was in view, was casually leaning against the Tardis waiting for me. He didn't know Sherlock as well as he wanted and honestly I didn't want him there for this, I didn't know how long it had been since the fall and I'm not sure how John would react by seeing me.
When he turned to make his walk back to the cab and his eyes fell dead on me, they widen in shock and he rushed over to me. He gripped my shoulders as if he was trying to clarify if I was dream or not.
"Hello John…" I uttered out quietly.
His expression broke as he pulled me into a death grip hug, "It's been weeks where have you been...I thought that bastard might have done something to you."
"No he didn't get any where near me John…sorry about vanishing" I pulled back looking at the saddened soldier.
"Well, it's good to know you are ok...I'm guessing you hear-yes John...that's the reason I vanished…" I interrupted looking away.
The was brief silence between us as John finally let go of my shoulders before I spoke up," I'm leaving John...I can't stay in London...I'm worried about what might happen if I do."
"Sam...I understand.I guess...this is it then, goodbye." John summed up.
"I'll try to pop by next time I'm in London but please call me. I had a hell of a time with you boys and I don't want to lose you too."
"Of course Sam, what shall I tell to do with your stuff?"
"Sell most of it, I'll stop by to pick up the certain pieces I want to keep." I sighed glancing at John, before hugging him tightly.
"Thank you for everything John, you are my family ok?" I chirped out as I pulled away to smile up at him.
He chuckled and nodded letting go before stepping back, "Good travels to you."
"Trust me I will, I'm positive I got an angel watching over me." I mentioned as I glanced over at Sherlock's grave with a soft smile.
