Yay, another chapter to A New Beginning! I am sad to say though that I feel this story has one or two more chapters before it is going to be completed! Please enjoy and review!
Benny walked out of class with books in hand as he rushed to Ethan's next class to meet him there. He smiled and waved at a few friends they had made in the weeks they had been attending the school before arriving at the door. He waited patiently as classmates passed him by, looking at his watch and back up as he began to furrow his eyes.
"Ethan's always here by now," Benny muttered softly as he checked his watch one more time before walking into the classroom. "Ms. Perkins, have you seen Ethan today?" he asked the teacher who simply shook her head no as Benny took one last glance at the door before walking out. "Somethings wrong, he never misses class." Benny said to himself as he went to Ethan's last class and asked the teacher the same question but only getting the same answer in return. Benny flipped open his phone as he sent his grandmother a heads up that something may be about to happen before he ran out of the school to his car.
Thirty Minutes Later
Benny had driven to every spot he and Ethan had hung out, finding nothing in any of those places. He finally made his way back before he saw someone walk out into the middle of the road, causing him to slam down on his breaks.
"Who in the fuck!" Benny began to scream before the person lifted their hoodie off, revealing Della. His mouth gaped open as he shut the car off before stepping out, watching her begin to laugh as she walked up to him.
"Della, what are you doing here?" Benny asked, watching as the woman flipped some of her hair back seductively before she leaned onto the car.
"Oh you know, just thought I'd drop in and say hi. How's Ethan?" Della asked, causing Benny to step back as he watched her file down her nails before winking at him.
"You bitch! What have you done!" Benny screamed, rushing forward before watching Della disappear before she stood behind him. "Your a fucking vampire!" Benny hollered out as he turned around and watched Della fake a pout.
"Is that anyway to greet a girl you use to crush on?" Della asked as she smiled at him, flicking out her fangs.
"Where is he!?" Benny screamed out before watching her walk alongside his car, dragging her nails across it as they tore into the metal and paint.
"Oh let's just say he decided to take a nice little swim, seems like a lovely day for swimming doesn't it?" Della asked as she stopped, admiring the work her nails had done on the car.
"Della! Please! Why would you do this?" Benny asked, feeling fear grip his soul as he stepped forward slightly, watching as she cast him a deadly glare.
"WHY! YOU LOVED ME FIRST BENNY! Then that fucking twit claimed your heart, I could tell. The way you looked at him, the way you and him talked and played around. You two were too close to not be anything more! He stole your heart, when it should've been mine!" Della screamed, with each venomous word taking a step forward.
"Della, you told me outright that you never felt anything for me. How could I known? Anyways, now that I know what kind of bitch you are I'm glad I didn't choose you," Benny said, watching as Della became enraged and charged him.
"Stop it right there you dumb blonde bimbo bitch!" came a voice behind her, Della turning around to see Benny's grandmother standing there with a pistol filled with holy water.
"Oh look, granny has come to play. Better hope she doesn't break a hip," Della screamed before rushing the old woman who simply side stepped and decked the girl in face from the side.
"I may be old, but that doesn't mean I can't get your dumb teenage ass. Now where's Ethan!" Evelyn hollered, pointing the end of the pistol straight at Della's forehead as the girl picked herself up.
"Try Lake Watooku, he should be enjoying a nice little swim by the buoy right about now," Della said with a hint of evil in her voice as Benny jumped into his car and sped off, Evelyn still pointing the gun at her.
"What you gonna do ya old hag? Kill me? Kill a teenage girl?" Della asked, watching as Evelyn began to laugh.
"Your no girl, your just a pointy toothed, blood sucking, sadistic bitch who killed my friends and tried killing the man my grandson loves and who I see as my family. And for that, I have no problem killing you," Evelyn said, watching Della begin to rush her once more before shooting the holy water and watching the woman disappear in a cloud of dust and ash.
Benny drove down a dirt road, kicking up dust behind him as he spotted the red buoy in the distance, bobbing back and forth violently.
"Oh my God, HANG ON ETHAN!" Benny screamed as he stopped the car and ran towards the waters edge. He felt the frigid water hit his skin as he waded in and dove under, swimming through the icy icy water as he spotted Ethan. He was tied to a rope that hung onto the buoy with a rock tied tot eh other end that weighed him down in the water. He could tell Ethan was frantic, trying desperately to get free as he swam faster and faster. Benny gripped onto the rope as he pulled out a pocket knife and began cutting the rope, looking into Ethan's terror filled eyes. He could feel his heart beating a thousand miles a minute as he watched Ethan's body begin to quit fighting. He finally cut through the rope as Ethan began to sink, before gripping onto him and swimming for the surface. He broke the surface of the water and swam for sure, his grandmother already waiting for them there as she cried for him to hurry up. Benny could finally touch the bottom of the lake as he ran forward as best as he could till they finally reached the edge of the lake. He set Ethan down who was no longer breathing as he started CPR, crying ice cold tears down his cheeks as he looked down at Ethan's pale face.
"Please God! You bastard! Not him, you've taken everything else away please don't take him!" Benny screamed into the air, feeling rage and fear both grip his heart as he continued to do compressions and breathing methods. Minutes passed with no success, Benny fighting with all his strength and energy. Benny could feel hope diminishing quickly, then suddenly Ethan began coughing up water and spit before opening his eyes.
"Oh thank you almighty heavens!" Benny hollered out as he began to cry and laugh at the same time, watching as Ethan reached up a weak hand and gripped his.
"You...rescued me," Ethan muttered, still extremely weak from almost drowning as he looked up at Benny who just lurched forward and took him in his arms, warming them both up before Evelyn threw a blanket over them both.
"Of course I came E, I love you more than anything and I couldn't live without you," Benny said as he rocked himself and Ethan back and forth.
"I saw them Benny, my family. They told me it wasn't my time yet, and sent me back. I actually saw them, hugged them, and finally got to say goodbye," Ethan whispered, clutching onto Benny's back as he smiled into his luke warm skin. "I love you too Benny," Ethan muttered, the two of them crying together as Evelyn stood back and dialed a ambulance to the lake.
