So I'm just gonna try and blitz through the rest of this story and finish it. I know in the previous chapter I said was gonna be one thing, but I'm skipping straight to Acmegeddon. I might do that one idea later on, but for now, I just want to get to the end of the story.

Sorry for the long wait and I know some of you have been very patient and I appreciate you sticking through for me. TheDude, come on, don't be like that. "Are you going to give us an update soon," come on, you don't have to be rude about it. I can completely abandon a story if I so choose... But nonetheless your comment got Loonatics back into my head enough for me to do this. But don't think that lets you off the hook for your tone, because it doesn't. People, please keep in mind that all of this is my hobby. I can't do this full time and I certainly don't get paid to do this (though that would be nice XD) So if you're following one of my stories and are worried that it hasn't been updated in a while, you can send me a reminder message or ask if I'm still working on it, just be polite about it please ^_^

Honestly, I didn't feel like revising this chapter. I know that's a bad thing to do, but like I said, I'm just gonna wrap this story up while I can.

"They got away and on my watch! This is terrible, a disaster of epic proportions! The boss lady is gonna chew me out when she finds out I let four of the most dangerous criminals get away!" Duck wailed and groaned in despair, burying his face in his hands in shame.

"Don't beat yourself up over this, Duck," Ace reassured him.

"Ace is right, Duck, it was completely your fault even though it was a major botch and you probably feel even worse because it makes you look less like the kind of leader you wanna be."

"Gee, Rev, now I feel loads better. Thanks," he mumbled sarcastically.

"Duck's fault or not, we better tell Zadavia," said Ace.

"I already know," Zadavia announced, her hologram appearing.

"Oh boy," Duck squeaked.

"How did they escape Duck?" she asked, getting straight to the point.

"Well, uh, they just, uh, flushed into a hole and just, uh, went poof!" he stammered.

"You must find them immediately, before the situation escalates! I suspect…" she trailed off.

"Suspect what Zadavia?" Ace asked.

"Nevermind. You must hurry! I will contact you later," she said, signing off.

"Fear not! I shall track down those criminals! No one can escape from the amazing Danger Duck!" Duck boasted, sporting a large sack of weapons.

"I don't think so, Duck," Ace said, shooting him down.

"Please, this is just another sad attempt to kiss up to Zadavia and hog all the glory," Lexi noted.

"Yeah? And your point is?" Duck asked.

"Well at least he's admitting it. That's one step forward," Skye laughed.

"Ok Duck, I'll make you a deal. You can go look for those super jerks," Ace started.

"Now your'e talking!"

"So long as you take Rev and Skye with you."

"Come again? Please tell me this isn't punishment and Tech and me dating in secret!" Skye asked.

"Sorry, I don't do partners," Duck turned away.

"Hm, ok then what about sidekicks? Lots of heroes have sidekicks!" Rev suggested.

"Whoa, whoa, whoa, I'm nobody's sidekick. Do we need to revisit Lexi and me kicking butt on our own?" Skye asked.

"Sh! Hm, that could work! I like it! Ok, let's move out!" Duck declared.

Just as Skye began to follow after them, Ace pulled her aside. "Just keep Duck busy while we find them, got it?"

"Got it," she nodded. She followed after Rev and Duck as they returned to the scene of the original crime: the high speed train that Duck was on while the prisoners were being transferred. The train car had four large tubes, each of which had contained one of the four villains that mysteriously escaped from. On each side of each containment tube was a large circle cut out, which Duck closely examined with a magnifying glass.

"Clearly this wall was perforated by an unknown source, but the question is what kind?" Duck observed.

"Well, Tech might say they were subjected to some sort of time displacement vortex also known as a wormhole, though technically that's inaccurate because there really aren't any worms involved at all," Rev explained.

"A wormhole would explain why there isn't a trace of evidence and, you know, the lack of circular cut outs from the walls," Skye added.

"I just realized!" Duck gasped, "there is but one force in the universe that would have this effect: termites!"

"Termites don't eat high density steel, last time I checked," said Skye.

"Or a wormhole," Rev suggested.

"Yeah that too," said Duck. "Just as I feared, this investigation will require more… investigating! Back to HQ!"

The trio returned to the tower and Duck walked up to the facial recognition scanner. "Welcome back to headquarters, Danger Duck," the computer greeted, as the computer proceeded to scan his face. "Access denied, Danger Duck has already been scanned. This is clearly a duplicate. You have ten seconds to vacate the premises or hostile action will be taken. 10…9…" the computer began counting down.

"What the?" Skye asked surprised. "How can you have already been scanned in?"

"What? What do you mean duplicate? Listen you overgrown ATM, when they made this kisser, they broke the mould!" he boasted. "So open this door now or else…" As he spoke, Rev walked up to the scanner just before the countdown finished.

"Access granted," the computer announced, opening the doors.

"See that kind of respect I command? Even the computers are afraid of me!"

"Yeah I don't think 'respect' is the word I'd use there," Skye muttered.

"Oh hush, you! Ok, who forgot to pay the electric bill?" Duck asked, noticing nothing but static on all the monitors.

"Something's not right… This shouldn't be happening," Skye said examining one of the terminals.

"What do you think's causing it?" Rev asked.

"Well, my first guess would be- Oh, hang on, there's an incoming signal!" Skye noticed. She pressed a button on the terminal and Zadavia's face appeared on one of the screens, but static was interfering with the feed. "Zadavia! Hang on, let me clean up the signal!"

"At last, I'm getting through! You three need to get out of there now!" All of a sudden, an energy blast shot from behind them right into the screen, smashing it and cutting off the feed.

"You're really clueless aren't you? Blast them!" Mastermind shouted, appearing at the door with a blaster as Weathervane and Massive appeared as well.

"Keep her away from me! If she gets too close to me she can take over my cybernetics!" Skye cautioned her teammates. The three of them scattered, avoiding Weathervane's lightning and Massive's gravity blasts. Rev managed to trick Weathervane and Massive into blasting each other, knocking them both out in one hit, after which the three of them took the opportunity to escape. Once they escaped the tower, they took cover in a small alleyway.

"Duck, Skye, Rev, can you hear me?" Zadavia called from their wrist communicators. "Ive tapped into a private signal, but I don't know how long it will stay secure. All my systems have been hacked! The tower's as well! You must find the others!" She ordered as her feed turned to static.

"Ok, think, think, think, think think! Oh!" Rev rambled.

"Whaddya got?" Duck asked.

"A headache. Wait, that's it! Duck, a headache!" Rev realized.

"What are you talking about?" Duck asked again.

"Ok, who has the biggest head, you know, Mastermind right? And who was in the specially designed underground prison that isn't open anymore? Mastermind again! So where would be best place to lock up our buddies?"

"Um, go fish?"

"The underground prison Tech designed!"

"Oh, of course! And I'm betting she'd consider that poetic justice: locking up her mortal enemy in the cell he designed to hold her," added Skye.

"Exactly!"

Rev and Skye zoomed off as Duck followed, yelling, "Hey! Wait up! You two are just sidekicks!"

Rev's deduction turned out to be more then right when they found their teammates trapped inside Mastermind's old cell with Sypher guarding them by the terminal. While Skye and Duck distracted Sypher, Rev began entering random number sequences, hoping that one of them would be the six digit code to open the cell.

"Uh oh," Duck muttered with Sypher grabbed his arm. He could feel his powers leaving his body, remembering the feeling from when it happened the first time and he fell back, weak and literally powerless.

"Feel like some company? Now that I've got Duck's powers, I'm gonna quack myself in there and steal all of yours!" Sypher said sinisterly as he stalked over to the cell. All of a sudden, a blast struck him in the back and he cried out from the impact.

"I don't think so," Skye said with narrowed eyes and her blaster pointed right at him. She fired another blast, but he quacked out of the way just in time. He kept reappearing around her, but each time she fired another shot, he would just as easily disappear. He appeared right behind her and grabbed her shoulder, but she quickly grabbed his hand and flipped him over. "Sorry, no powers to steal, remember?" she smirked.

"Oh, why didn't I realize this before? I think I know the activation code!" Tech realized.

"You do?" Ace asked.

"Rev, try 163208!" Tech called as Rev quickly entered in the code and the cell immediately opened.

"Wow Tech, how did you know the code?" Lexi asked.

"It was Mastermind's locker combination," he answered.

"What? That's it?" asked Ace in surprise.

"Yeah! We shared one in college. It's uh, heh, a long story," he stammered nervously.

"Uh huh, and when exactly were you planning on telling me you shared a locker with that psycho? Please don't tell me you were more than just her tutor," Skye asked with her arms crossed in annoyance.

"Well, you see…" he started, causing everyone else to groan in disgust.

"We'll talk about this later!" Skye whispered with narrowed eyes as Tech let out a nervous laugh.

"You let them escape?" Weathervane shouted as she, Massive and Mastermind arrived from the elevator.

"Relax, weather girl, I'm handling it!" Sypher assured her, only to be caught off guard from behind by Lexi's brain blast, which sent him flying into the wall. "See?" he whimpered before passing out. A battle quickly ensured between both parties before the Loonatics managed to get to the elevator. When Massive tried to use his gravity powers to bring the elevator down, Tech managed to stabilize it with his magnetism until they made it to the top.

"Nobody get comfy, we've got company!" Ace cautioned as Weathervane rose from the prison below, carrying her fellow convicts in her weather sphere.

"Care for another round Loonatics?" Mastermind taunted.

Before either party could make a move, a ray of rainbow light suddenly appeared and the image of a man with purple and white hair stood before them, causing the villains to gasp. "Zadavia?" Lexi asked, recognizing the rainbow light.

"Ugh, not quite," Ace gulped.

"I ask you to do one, simple thing: catch the Loonatics, but you can't even manage that! I should eradicate you now!" he bellowed.

"No!" they cried in fear.

"But… perhaps you may still be useful to me," he reconsidered. The man raised his hand and a blue wormhole appeared, sucking in the four villains.

"Not so fast!" Duck called out.

"Duck, wait!" Ace cried.

"You still have something called my powers to return!" Duck ran up and grabbed onto Sypher's leg just as the wormhole pulled him and Duck in.

"Who was that?" Lexi asked.

"I think the better question is where did Duck go?" Skye asked.

"We're a man down, Loonatics. We've gotta figure out who the guy with the freaky light show was and where he took Duck!" Ace declared.

"Loonatics," the six of them turned when they heard a familiar woman's voice address them. A figure in pink and purple clothes was draped in a long, red cloak. She pulled off the hood to reveal…

"It's Zadavia!" Lexi gasped with a smile.

"In the flesh!" Tech added.

"Hey Zadavia, you know something about that guy seemed awful familiar," Ace said.

"I'm not surprised, he is my brother after all," she explained. "I promise I will explain everything once we get back to headquarters. If we do not act soon, Acmetropolis will be destroyed.

"Oh, at last! I found you," a tall, female white wolf with long blonde hair stared at a computer monitor, which showed a brown planetoid in space. 'At first glance this looks like a completely empty planetoid, but thanks to Lupus K9 scanning technology…' "Life signs, let's see what kind of access I can get into their systems," she said out loud as she began typing. Lines of code appeared before a window of live video feed.

"Zadavia is more powerful than I expected. It seems years of hiding have done nothing to hinder her powers. Bring her to me immediately," said a man with purple hair with a white streak. Half his face was replaced with cybernetics and he had a robotic green eye.

"What's going on? What's happening out there?" Arianna gasped when she recognized the individual speaking.

"Demitri," she whispered, running her fingers over the monitor.

"Your troublesome daughter and her Loonatic friends have discovered our location. Optiforces, remove Dr. Wolfe from my presence immediately. His 'assistance' is no longer necessary."

"No, let me go!" Demitri resisted as to Optiforce robots came up and seized him by his arms.

"Put him with the duck!"

Arianna stood up from her computer terminal and glared at the screen. This was the one who had taken her husband and now her daughter was putting herself in danger as well. "I'm going to need a ship."

The door of Duck's cell opened and Demitri was roughly thrown in by to Optiforces before the cell door shut behind him. "Ow!" Demitri muttered, rubbing his arms which were bruised from the impact.

"Uh, I don't know who you are, but I don't share cells," Duck said.

"Hey, you're one of the Loonatics!" Demitri gasped.

"Oh? A fan? I'm not surprised, I am the most powerful and most handsome of the Loonatics!" Duck boasted.

"Uh, no I've only ever heard of your group, not any of the individual members. I only know that my daughter is a member of your team."

"Daughter? Wait, hmm, you're clearly not a rabbit, so that would make you Skye's dad?" Duck asked.

"Y-yes! A few years back, Optimatus kidnapped me and forced me to build his Optiforces for him. He said he'd kill my daughter if I didn't help him. I've been here ever since."

"Well, we won't be here for long. Danger Duck has an ingenious plan to escape and reclaim his amazing powers!" Duck boasted proudly.

"And what exactly is your plan?" Demitri asked, curious.

"Watch and learn!" Duck stepped over to the bars of the cell door and lay on the ground, propping himself up with his arms to feign weariness. "Oh please, oh please help me!" he wailed.

His cries alerted the nearby guarding Optiforce robot, who asked, "What is the nature of your distress?"

"Just look at me, I'm dehydrated, shrivelled! I need water!" he gasped dryly, clutching his throat.

"You just had some ten minutes ago," the robot noted.

"Hey! I'm a duck! We're big on wet! Please, oh please, just a drop," he pleaded.

"Fine," the robot conceded, as a little drone came up and handed the robot a small cup of water. "Here is your water," the robot said, taking the cup and handing it to Duck through the bars.

"You wouldn't happen to have a wedge of lemon, would you?" Duck asked.

"Here is your wedge of lemon," the robot responded, handing him a lemon slice. Right away, Duck threw the cup of water onto the robot, shorting it out. It stumbled back onto the electrified bars of the cell, shutting the system down momentarily and freeing them.

"Wow, I honestly didn't think that was going to work," Demitri said, amazed. "I suppose even the simplest ideas are the most successful. So what do we do now?" he asked as the stepped out of their cell.

"Now, I find that no good powers thief and get my powers back!" Duck declared. The pair carefully made their way through Optimatus' lair, carefully evading patrolling robots as they went.

"Up there, that's where Optimatus will be," Demitri pointed to a large red orb. Once they entered inside, they quickly ducked behind a terminal.

"Good, I wouldn't want you to nod off while I destroy your beloved Acmetropolis," Optimatus stated.

"Zadavia!" Demitri gasped, noticing his friend trapped.

"And there's the hub who stole my powers!" Duck raced down towards Sypher, who had just been knocked out by Optimatus, the four villains arguing with him since they wanted to rule Acmetropolis rather than see it destroyed. "I'll just take my powers back, thank you," he said, grabbing Sypher's hand and reabsorbing his powers. "Man, if those guys are on his side, I'd hate to see what he does with his enemies," Duck commented from behind the rolling platform Zadavia had been bound to.

"Duck?"

"Hey boss lady! I'm, uh, you know, here to rescue you of course!" he stammered.

"Dr. Wolfe, I'm relieved to see you're all right," Zadavia smiled.

"Well, that won't last much longer if we stay here. I'll get you out of there as fast as I can," Demitri assured her. "There, got it!"

"My thanks, doctor. You should find some place safe to hide until the battle is over. Things are going to get… dicey," she cautioned.

"After I find my daughter. I'm not leaving here without her!"

"It's about time!" Duck cried, as Ace, Tech and Skye arrived, all dressed in newly upgraded and red versions of the bionic armor Tech invented.

"Zadavia could use some help, Duck," Ace noted.

"She's handling it!" he barked back. "Oh and Skye, I found your dad!"

"What?" she cried in disbelief.

"Skye!"

"Dad?" When she finally overcame her shock, she ran up to her father and tightly embraced him. "Dad! Wh-what are you doing here? Are you okay?"

"Doing a lot better now that you're here! Optimatus kidnapped me and he's been forcing me to build his robots for him this entire time!" her father explained.

"I can't believe you're really here," Skye started, her eyes tearing up, "I tried so hard to find you!"

"It's all right, everything's going to be fine!" he assured her, as they embraced again.

"We've got bigger problems! Optimatus' wormhole is gonna send Acmetropolis where the sun don't shine! And I need the sun for my vacation days!" Duck shouted.

"Tech, figure out how to stop that wormhole. The rest of us will keep them robots off you!" Ace ordered.

"Stay close to me, dad, I'll protect you," Skye said, readying her blaster arm.

"You don't have to tell me twice!"

The white wolf piloted her one-man ship through space. Thankfully, Rana knew someone who could supply her with a ship and he also owed Rana a favour, so now they were considered even. Suddenly, the ship's alarms began going off as she noticed two dots on her radar closing in on her.

"Great," she mumbled rolling her eyes in annoyance, " the welcoming party." She pressed a button on the control panel and the ship shot forward with a burst of speed as her pursuers began tailing her. She easily dodged their shots before flying straight up above them and coming down right behind them. Right away, she fired at both targets, immediately destroying them. "Haha!" she boasted. All of a sudden, she felt something strike the ship and noticed a third dot on the radar. "Dammit, a third one. I should've noticed that," she muttered. She manoeuvred her ship around the asteroid field and managed to trick the ship into crashing into one of the asteroids.

"Finally, that's over and done with. Now to find a… shit," she noticed one of the warnings on the control panel. "That last blast damaged my landing gear. Well, Demitri always loved how great I am at making entrances," she said, diving straight into the base on the planetoid.

"Warning! Warning! Incoming vessel! Collision imminent!" the computer system warned as a large alarm blared throughout the base.

"Everyone brace for impact!" Ace shouted.

"Skye, get down!" Demitri cried, grabbing his daughter's shoulders and pulling her to the floor as he covered her body with his. A small ship suddenly crashed into the base, destroying some of the Optiforces before it finally slowed to a halt.

"Whoa!" Skye gasped. "That was close!"

"Is everyone all right?" Ace asked as everyone responded back, all right.

"Is the pilot ok?" Lexi asked, approaching the crashed vessel. Before she could get closer to investigate, the cockpit burst open and a hooded figure in black with a white, robotic arm burst out. She quickly glanced around, ignoring Lexi who asked if she was all right. She spotted Skye and Demitri, the former of whom had been knocked down by one of the Optiforces.

"Get away from my husband and my daughter!" she shouted, glaring at the Optiforce robot. A blue energy blade sprung out from her forearm and she drove it straight into the chest of the robot before driving the blade up the rest of it's body, destroying it in an instant.

"We're ok," Demitri assured her. She nodded and dashed off to destroy more of the advancing robots. One by one, they fell to her blade as she kicked and punched her way through the robot army.

"Dad… who is that?" Skye asked, slightly dazed from that last hit she received. She watched in awe as this mysterious newcomer dealt with robot after robot without breaking a sweat. When she was knocked back by an oncoming Optiforce robot, her hood fell back to reveal a white wolf with blonde hair tied in a long braid with thick bangs covering half her face. She had seen that face before in old photographs, so it was impossibly easy to recognize the person that had saved them. "…Mom?"

"Tech, time's up!" Ace shouted.

"Here goes nothing, engaging!" Tech stated, inputing the microchip into the terminal. Seconds later, the wormhole disappeared.

"Tech you did it! You shut down the wormhole!" Ace praised as the others celebrated.

"Well, I didn't shut it down per say, more like relocated. If we don't leave this planetoid now, that wormhole is going to send us to a galaxy far far away," he explained.

"Everyone, to my brother's ship!" Zadavia ordered.

As they rode the elevator down to the ship, Tech noticed Skye's father. "Y-you're Dr. Wolfe! I've read all your papers and research notes on advanced robotics! Your work on Skye's cybernetics is just incredible!"

"Tech, now is not the time to fanboy over my dad!" Skye scolded.

"Right, right, sorry. Just can't help myself. Who's the lady?" he asked.

"My mom," she answered.

"Your mom? I thought you didn't know your mom!"

"I don't. Cards on the table, it's been a really crazy day."

"Yeah you can say that again," Tech said as they boarded the ship.

"Zadavia!" Optimatus suddenly appeared on the ship. "You'll pay for what you've done!" He began firing a beam from his hand, but the ship was suddenly hit by floating debris and he fell over. Ace quickly blasted Optimatus with his laser vision, knocking off one of his gauntlets. Zadavia quickly grabbed it and opened a wormhole, sucking Optimatus in.

"Thank you Loonatics, you saved me and all of Acmetropolis. You are all heroes, my heroes," she added.

"Just for the record, she's talking about me!" Duck boasted.

"Aw, we like you too," Slam mumbled, pushing past Duck and hugging Zadavia tightly.

"So…" Skye began, not really knowing where to begin her sentence, "you're my mom?"

"I imagine you have a lot you want to talk about," Arianna smiled.

Ok, we finally got to the part of the story that I've personally been waiting to get to: Skye's mom :3

Next chapter - On offer from her mother forces Skye to rethink her position on the team.
