Hey guys and I am a giant liar! I am the biggest liar in the world because I said the last one would be up soon. This was a lie. But I have hired an assistant and he will be helping me stay on track and I love you all!
I don't own Harry Potter, neither does my assistant!
Jayce sat in the Gryffindor Common room watching the clouds floating in the lovely blue sky. Her eyes were glazed over as she thought about the past events the day before. A bird flew past the window and out of sight, she sighed. Her hair was still perfectly curled, nails just perfect and purple. Even though she seemed fine staring blankly into space, she was not. Jayce was plotting revenge, nay, vengeance against the obnoxious Slytherin. As she plotted, the world around her still kept spinning.
A Few Days before
A heavy cloud loomed over Hogwarts as every student waited for the worst to happen, and it being the end of the year something was bound to happen. The end of the year was a time for relationships to bloom or fall into the gutter and die, a time when students went to their Professor's and begged for a better grade, a time when homework was to be hurried and finished before Professor Snape failed you made a visit to parents. Yes, it was the second to last day of school.
The library was full of students getting last-minute essays together. Katie and Jess were one of the many groups of people cramming. The two sat at a table in the back with piles of potion books surrounding stacks of Jess's potions essays left from last term.
"How'd you lot your homework get this bad?" Katie asked as she looked over an essay on the study of polyjuice potion.
"I have been very distracted. Everything's going to hell this year and Hagrid packed on a arse load of homework in his class." Jess grumbled, slumping onto the table causing the books to crash upon the floor.
"Well, his pet is going to be executed, stupid Malfoy, and no one likes his class. It's hard on him." She bent down with a sigh and picked up the fallen books. Jess shrugged in silence, it wasn't her fault that the bird was going to die. If she could stop it then she would but she couldn't.
"When is the beast going to be executed?" Jess stood up, knocking the books out of Katie's arms and down onto the floor again.
"Damn… later today, why?" But Jess was already out of sight. Katie bent over to pick the books back up but George was already picking them up. He looked at her and grinned making her giggle.
"Thanks for that." she muttered taking the books from him.
"No problem. But, Katie why do you put up with Jess?" He asked, wrapping his arm around her shoulders and walked her around as she placed the books back.
"What do you mean?" She put her arm around his waist and they walked out together.
"Let me put it this way. You're smart with a kind heart and Jess looks like she is just bringing you down."
"It's not like that…"
"Then what? Tell me so I understand and so I know that you two aren't going to have a huge blow out and I'm going to have to pick up the pieces without lashing out on her." They had stopped walking and he had his hands on her shoulders.
"We are not going to get into a fight. I promise." George slid his hands down into hers, looked around, leaned in, and kissed her on the forehead. Heat spread through her face.
"You're blushing Katie." Jess was leaning against the wall with a smile on her face.
"Jess shut the hell up! I am not!" She snapped, letting go of George's hands and stomping over to Jess.
"Well you are now. Anywho... I need you to help me find Zack and Casey. And George, if you hurt her I'll feed you to Jayce." She grabbed Katie and pulled her towards the Great Hall and away from George.
Outside of the castle, skipping rocks across the lake, sat Casey and Zack having one of their famous conversations.
"So, does Jess like me or not?" Zack asked as he threw a rock towards the middle of the lake. Casey didn't say anything, he just sat watching Zack throw the rocks while he ate a chocolate frog. Zack picked up another rock and tossed it with a long sigh.
"Are you gonna say anything?" He asked with a smile. Casey shook his head sadly, there was nothing to say. Zack went back to throwing rocks in the silence as the gloom of the evening washed over them. Casey looked back at Zack then something caught his attention in the corner of his eye. He glanced over and saw a great black dog the size of a bear. The dog looked back at him and started to make its way toward them.
"Zack, we need to go inside!" Casey jumped up and pointed to the running beast. Zack looked up, grabbed Casey, and took off running for the castle before the monster could catch them.
They ran through the doors and into the Great Hall, the animal hadn't passed through the doors to the entrance hall but they weren't going to take any chances.
"I found them Jess!" Katie put her hands out in front of her to stop them from trampling her. Jess, Jayce, Ally, and Erin walked over to where the boys were freaking out to Katie.
"What the hell are you two freaking out about?" Jess asked, stepping up to Zack and patting his cheek.
"There was a huge arse dog outside!" Casey whimpered, "It started to come at us so we ran."
"A dog? Dogs aren't allowed at Hogwarts, it's against the rules." Jayce butted in.
"Well little miss. 'I know everything' there is a big dog outside, the size of a bear, that just tried to kill us!" Zack snapped at her. All the yelling and whimpering had attracted Gibby and Sierra over.
"What's happening?" Sierra was eating one of Casey's chocolate frogs. He glared at her, fury in his eyes. Zack started to rub his eyes as he retold what had happened outside, leaving out the conversation they had had. Gibby stood in silence until the end, listening very intently with a blank stare, then he gasped.
"What is it Gibblet?" Casey asked.
"Cedric told me something about this once! He said..."
"No one freaking cares what Cedric freaking Diggory said Gibby!" Jayce screamed at him. The few students in the room looked over at them. Jess gave Jayce a glare that shouted, 'not now'.
The group had walked out to get out of the public eye. They kept their conversation/argument about the mysterious dog going. As Jayce started to raise her voice again a terrified screaming had erupted somewhere behind them, but they ignored it.
"Jayce would you stop yelling? We don't need it right now!" Jess turned away from her holding the bridge of her nose. Erin and Ally backed up a bit, knowing that something was going to happen.
"I wasn't the only one yelling Jessica," Jess turned to glare at her, "besides, who died and made you ruler of us all?"
"Why don't we just calm down?" Cary suggested, his hands up in defense.
"Shove it Coon!" Jayce had now started to turn on the others.
"Leave him out of this Jayce! He didn't do anything to you!" Zack stepped in front of Casey and got in her face.
"Oh look, Piepers trying to be a hero. You're just going to make things worse."
"YOU SHUT UP! I'm sick of your shite Rogers. You keep going against everything I say and you keep getting on my case. It's not my fault you hate me so STOP!" Zack was breathing hard as silence had fallen upon them.
"Hey guys?" Gibby whispered. He had been watching off into the distance the whole time.
"What is it David?" Ally asked calmly.
"The Willow stopped moving." Jess turned to look at it. She let out a shaky laugh until it became more hearty.
"Why are you laughing?" Jayce asked coldly.
"I'm just trying to figure out what you did."
"Excuse me? Say that again." Jayce walked up to Jess and pushed her back a bit.
"I was joking, relax." She went to turn, "Don't touch me."
"What," she pushed her harder, "like that?" Katie stepped forward but Sierra pulled her back shaking her head. Katie noticed she was now eating a licorice wand.
It had happened all so fast. Jess turned and her fist connected with Jayce's nose. Jayce went to pull her wand out as blood streamed down her face but Jess tackled her to the ground causing her wand to fly somewhere into the grass. Katie tried to stop the fighting but Sierra wasn't letting her go. The two fighting had started to tumble towards the whomping willow shouting curses at each other. Casey and Zack took off towards then while Erin and Ally went to grab a Professor. Katie, Sierra, and Gibby soon followed the girls after Sierra grabbed Jayce's wand.
The Whomping Willow had started to move around again once Jess and Jayce had stopped rolling. They stopped two feet in front of it and now were on their feet, fist raised and ready to finish each other off. Zack and Sierra were chanting "fight" while Katie and Casey screamed for them to stop. Gibby was looking at the ground around the area they were standing in and the grass was matted down as if someone had been dragged across it into the... Willow?
"Learn to take a bloody joke!" Jess swung and missed.
"I would if they were good!" Jayce kicked and missed her by and inch. Jess finally ran at her again and tackled her into oblivion. Quite literally actually, Jess had tackled so hard they were out of sight. Gibby looked down to where the disappeared into, a hole, and laughed.
"Why are you laughing?" Zack shouted over the branches rustling.
"There's a hole here. They fell into a hole!" Katie wasn't watching him point at the hole. She was watching a branch that was coming straight for him. It flew through the air and hit its designated target. Gibby's eyes crossed and he fell into the hole he was jabbering on about. Zack was holding his crotch while Casey was breathing hard with the look of pain on his face.
Down in the hole sat Jess and Jayce. Gibby had rolled down a few minutes after they had and he was out cold. They sat in silence, glaring daggers at each other.
"This is all your fault! We wouldn't be in a damn hole if you didn't joke around like that." Jayce growled, throwing dirt at Jess. She kicked some back at her and accidentally kicked her in the jaw, knocking Jayce unconscious.
"Everything okay down there?" Kate called down from the great beyond.
"Yeah, Jayce just hit her head on a rock and Gibby fell down here already passed out."
"Is Jayce bleeding at all?" Sierra asked, crunching some sort of food.
"Nope, just knocked out..." Jess looked around for any exit besides the one she just entered from.
"... your chemistry set..." Jess took out her wand and aimed it in the darkness. As she looked around a small light was coming from the other side of a tunnel. She stood up and started toward it, leaving the bodies, with her wand still raised.
At the end of the tunnel there was a hatch that went up into a dusty house. It creaked as Jess pushed the hatch door up. The dust rose as she stepped in causing her to cough uncontrollably.
"What was that?" The voice came from above her and slightly to the left.
"Don't try to distract me Black!" It was a different, deeper voice. Jess covered her mouth with the hem of her t-shirt and started up the stairs towards the voices.
Katie, Zack, and Sierra watched Jess slowly as, one by one, they pulled themselves up through the hatch. Casey stayed with Jayce and Gibby to try and wake them up.
"Jess, what are you doing?" Katie asked. Jess turned to look back at them. She put a finger to her lips then pointed to the door. It was ajar and the talking had started up again. Zack and Sierra were right behind her while Katie was behind Sierra to refrain her from eating. Zack put his hand on Jess's shoulder as we nudged the door open with her foot.
The scene was shocking. Snape, Professor Lupin, and Sirius Black were standing in the middle of the small, what looked to be, bedroom while the Golden Trio stood, but Ron who laid on a dusty mattress, against the wall.
"What the hell is going on here?!" Zack walked forward to catch their attention.
"Ooo, big man trying to be a hero again." Katie muttered from the back.
"Shut up bitch." Zack growled. "Now I'll ask again, what the hell is going on here?" Sierra was holding Katie back with one hand over her mouth. Jess just stood looking at one person and only them.
"Remember me? You locked me in a bloody closet." She walked in with her wand aimed at his chest. Sierra and Katie followed them in, shutting the door behind. Black was looking at the new arrivals and sighed.
"Someone better explain why Lupin and Sirius Black are in on this together!" Harry shouted from the wall.
"Same here." Jess went and stood next to Harry and Hermione.
"It doesn't matter! The dementors are waiting..." Three of the same spell from different wands hit Snape and made him fly into the canopy bed. Katie was standing too close for comfort when this happened. He was hit by his arms and flew into the canopy also before it crashed down.
Sierra broke out laughing along with Sirius. Zack just looked dumbfounded along with Lupin.
"Someone better explain what is happening before I kill them. No more stupid talk, explain!" Harry shouted.
"I didn't tell Voldemort where your parents were."
"Bullshite!" Zack took a step back.
"I also didn't kill Peter Pettigrew! He's in this room! Right there!" Black pointed at Ron. Jess. Zack. and Sierra pulled their wands on him.
"I knew no one could be that ginger!" Sierra aimed it at his heart. Ron started to freak out as his rat squirmed in his hands. Jess raised an eyebrow as we looked toward Black. He shook his head until she lowered her aim at the rat. Black nodded really slowly, "yup" was all he said.
"No way! Scabbers is their family pet!" Zack said, keeping his aim on Ron. "He's a magical rat, besides he's not missing..." He aimed the wand at the rat.
"He's missing a toe Ron. Let him go!" Jess went to grab the rat but it bit her. She screamed in pain as it jumped into the air and hit a desk. All at once spells were flying at it until something clicked.
They, the children in the room, didn't know what was going to happen when the desk spät out a full grown, rat looking man.
"Gibby?" Sierra whispered. He turned his watery eyes toward her with a grin and a nod.
"Davis's my nephew." He had a squeaky voice they made Jess cringe. He then turned toward Harry with the same gross smile.
"Harry! Oh my gods!" He ran at him but Sirius and Lupin pulled him back. They had their wands raised at him.
"Well, Peter you should have known that we would find you. And if Voldemort didn't kill you we would!" Sirius shouted.
"WAIT!" Harry stepped forward, hands raised in defense. "You can't kill him. It's not how my dad would want it. His two best friends becoming real murderers." The two looked at each other and nodded.
Jess was walking in front of the large group showing them the way towards the exit. They had all come to the conclusion that Peter, aka Wormtail, should be fed to to dementors. Zack was walking behind Jess with Katie in his arms. Snape was being dragged by Sierra by a rope tied around his ankles. Casey was sitting with Jayce and Gibby's bodies. He stood up and picked up Jayce. Jess grabbed Gibby's ankle and pulled him out of the hole and into the night sky.
Sierra stood next to the bodies as Jess and Zack talked about getting them up to the castle.
"We could carry them. Drag Snape and Gibby behind maybe." Zack looked over at Harry and Sirius. Jess glanced over and smiled, it was a touching moment.
"So, what are we gonna do with the rat?" Sierra poked him with her wand in the temple.
"Give him to the dementors. Then I guess get Sirius off the hook." Jess shrugged. Sirius slapped her on the back with a grin.
"Oh wow, heartburn." Lupin was rubbing his chest while looking around in the sky. He stopped once his eyes found the moon. Lupin let out a painful moan.
It had not occurred to Jess at any moment in the year that her second favorite, McGonagal first, Professor could be a werewolf. The closest thing to any mythical creature would be Snape being a vampire. It just goes to show that anything can happen at Hogwarts, anything.
"Ugh, what happened?" Katie sat up rubbing her head. "AH!" Mass chaos had broken out. Lupin was turning, Sirius was trying to calm him the hell down, Wormtail freaking ran, not without Sierra getting a bit of his hair in her fist, and Snape had woken up!
The first thing he saw out of all the confusion was Katie shaking Jess. Harry was trying to pry her off and tell her Lupin was going to kill them if they didn't do anything.
"Vance! Potter! Who else attacked me in that room? Pieper! What on earth were you thinking? Did you think you..." Snape heard the growl and looked towards a full transformed Lupin. "Children get behind me." They did as they were instructed. Katie was right behind Snape, Jess grabbed his outstretched arm, Casey was way in the back with Ron, holding each other and yelling.
"I'm too smart to die!" Katie shouted.
"There's so much food I haven't eaten yet." Sierra ducked behind Jess further.
"I wanted to kill a man before I died." They all looked at Jess. "Don't judge me!" Snape grabbed her arm with his free hand so if she pushed him she would die too.
Sirius, in his animangus form, had started to fight with Lupin. He threw Sirius like a crumpled up piece of parchment. Then he turned on Snape and the children. With one swipe he smacked Snape down but not out. Harry and Hermione ran after Sirius and away from Lupin. Jess dropped to her knees next to Snape and Katie. Sierra was standing next to Casey breathing hard a she swatted a branch at Lupin.
"You're not supposed to die yet!" Jess was shaking Snape by the front of his robes.
"Vance let go. I'm worried you're going to stab me." He pushed her off then stood up as off into the distance came howling and Lupin ran.
"Who can run the fastest?" Snape asked. Zack raised his hand. "Run to the school and tell the Headmaster what has happened. RUN PIEPER!" Zack was gone.
The rest of the students walked up the castle. Casey and Sierra were carrying On, making sure they kept his foot elevated above his heart like Snape told them before running off after Harry. Jess was pulling Gibby by his ankle and Jayce was thrown over her shoulder. Katie led the way to the Hospital Wing to get everyone looked at. Madam Pomfrey was sitting at her desk in the front of the room. When she saw the state that they were all in she had a screaming fit telling them all to lie down in a bed.
They placed the injured into the beds closer to the front and the rest climbed into a bed and slowly fell asleep one by one. Jess on the other hand laid awake for awhile longer. A smiling face was walking towards her. As it had gotten closer a beard and half-moon spectacles had come into view.
"You should be asleep." A voice whispered ever so smoothly. She looked past the face as her eyes slowly closed. Harry and Hermione stood there then were gone in a blink of an eye and then she fell asleep.
"HE WAS THERE! I saw him, you saw him! POTTER HAD SOMETHING TO DO WITH THIS!" Jess woke up rubbing her eyes to the sound of Snape yelling. "EXPLAIN POTTER! WHERE IS HE!?" Everyone was awake and watching Snape throw Harry around like a rag doll. Fudge was standing in the back trying to calm him down. Jess finally grabbed a pillow and threw it as hard as she could at him. The pillow hit Snape in the face causing him to drop Harry and turn on Jess. She tried to jump out of the way but it wasn't worth it. He jumped on her and started to shake her, "SHE HELPED!" was all he yelled.
"I'M SO CONFUSED! HELP ME!" Katie and Zack tried to pull Snape off of Jess but it wasn't working. Fudge and Dumbledore ran over to help. Katie was slammed onto the ground by Fudge in attempt to stop Snape from killing the girl.
"Severus stop this instant! Think of the power her mother has other the school!" Dumbledore had picked Severus up and was holding him in the air.
"I don't care! I want justice!" Jess stuck her tongue out at him and he tried to tackle her again.
"That is enough. Children go to your dormitories, rest, and be prepared for the next few days." Dumbledore escorted them out of the Hospital Wing with Snape still screaming after them.
Jayce was packing away her things with Ally and Hermione. It had been a few days since Jess had knocked her out in that hole. She had not forgotten it. So, Jayce sat in the Gryffindor Common room watching the clouds floating in the lovely blue sky.
Jess sat on her bed and decided to pack her things. Sierra was watching her the whole time.
"What are you thinking?" She asked.
Ally looked at Jayce from behind and tapped her on the shoulder. She had a friendly smile playing on her lips.
"Whatcha thinking about?"
Jess and Jayce looked at the girls and said at the same time though neither would ever find out what the other one said.
"I'm gonna kill her."
YAY! I did it and it only took me three days! Well, the next one will be posted sometime next week. Always!
