POLL ON MY PROFILE

INVOLVES THIS STORY AND HOW IT'LL GO
I know I don't have many HP characters, but Draco and the Weasley Twins will be in this soon because Harry does have friends still—some are just dead now. I was actually thinking about having them as fuck buddies. Not in a love relationship, but a strictly sexual one. I HAVE A POLL ON WHETHER THIS SHOULD HAPPEN. They won't be a big mention or anything. There will be more Draco than the twins :)
Have a good start to the New Year!
Once they were actually able to speak without Remus's kid screaming in Jace's bedroom—which Jace was very thankful for because he had a headache from it, and he was tired, and a screaming child just wasn't a good painkiller—Harry's godfather's and he and Harry gathered in the living room, again.
Jace was starting to think that his living room was "the spot" to be lately, whether it was talking about masked wizards trying to kill him or having a family over for dinner. And as always, Harry sat in his lap. He did prefer that to sitting in Harry's lap, as he would no doubt break him with his body weight—all muscle, of course.
The Serum, the entire reason they came over, was in a little vile, small but so meaningful, and the liquid was the clearest Jace had ever seen. Harry tucked it into his jeans pocket when Sirius handed it to him.
"We're staying for the questioning," Remus said. "I want to ask some questions myself."
Harry agreed. "That's fine."
Sirius and Remus looked at each other, and Jace thought they were one of those couples who could communicate through their eyes very easily.
Sirius spoke. "You know, Harry, the twins and Draco are worried about you."
Jace thought that was a very different way of saying 'we told your friends you're in trouble again.'
"You told them?" Harry exclaimed, nearly standing, hands gripping his thigh and the armrest. "What were you thinking? Oh, hang on; I'm not sure you were."
Jace had heard about Fred and George and Draco. The red-headed pranksters and the stuck-up blonde Slytherin. After the end of the last wizard's war where Harry was the main piece in, the three of them were the only ones to befriend Harry for being Harry, not the defeater of the dark lord Voldemort. But, considering the Twins were already his friends, it was really just Draco.
Draco and Harry, as Harry had told him, were actually good friends. In school they weren't, though. They were basically rivals. When Draco had saved his life that brought them together and even if things got out of hand, and Harry had given examples that Jace even gaped at, they did get along very well.
"Harry." Remus gave him a steady look. "They're your closest friends. We had to tell them. Especially when you've ignored them for weeks. And Jace hasn't even met them yet."
Harry flushed at that. That was such a father thing to say, and Jace almost laughed if he hadn't seen the worry on Harry's face about his friends' wellbeing.
"Remus!" he whined. He looked at Jace, eye wide. "You will meet them, eventually. I promise." Then the younger wizards' eyes were back to being panicked. "They might be in danger now, Rem."
Jace soothed Harry, rubbing his hand up and down his arm. He pulled him back against his body, feeling Harry's warmth and the tensing of his muscles, and he tried to un-tense him as best he could with his touch.
"We had a silencing spell and it was in the privacy of our own home. You know our wards are strong, Harry. We would never want anyone to get hurt. Remus and I just thought they should know what happened."
With a sigh and a little exasperated headshake, Harry gave a tiny nod. "I'm not mad, I just don't want them hurt. I trust you, though."
Sirius grinned. "They want to see you."
The fire lit up in Harry's eyes, and he pursed his lips. "No, absolutely not. Not when these wizards are after me and Jace—well, Jace. They might know where he lives and we haven't put up any wards yet for protection."
He shrugged a shoulder. "When you do, they'll be over. You can't just stop the twins, or that sneaky Slytherin prat." He paused, then looked at Jace. "And I hope you know they won't just go after you. Your family is in danger, too, just like Harry's."
Obviously his family was in danger. Alec was already hurt.
"My family can handle themselves. They're trained to handle danger. They are danger."
Harry chuckled at that, and Jace squeezed his side in revenge, causing him to stifle a loud laugh.
Sirius scoffed at his words and looked away, but didn't say anything else. Jace saw Harry narrow his eyes at his godfather out of the corner of his eye, and he wondered when that can of worms would be opening. And then he wondered, when did these ridiculous mundane sayings start appearing in his thoughts?
Remus was shaking his head a little. "I blame to Prophet for this," he sighed. "If it wasn't for them spying on you all the time, Harry, I don't think Jace would've been targeted."
"You know that's a lie," Harry said sadly.
"I would've been eventually," Jace replied.
The werewolves' eyes were kind, but sad. "I know." His eyes really displayed his emotions looking at Jace like he did. "I'm sorry you have to be involved."
It was that same look, only intensified, that Harry looked at him with next.
So much concern for Jace. He was glad to know they did worry, because it was always nice to have people to care about and to be cared for, but he was a demon hunter. He was trained on what to do in these situations since he was a child, and they didn't need to worry about him being involved when it was his duty to get involved.
The difference between him and Harry was that Harry was a child of prophecy. While he was a wizard, and a good one at that, Jace was a trained killer. There was no need for worrying.
He didn't say that, however, because he couldn't exactly keep his own boyfriend from fretting about.
"I knew being in a relationship with Harry would be somewhat like this," he said, and that was the truth. He was Harry Potter, and with that name came trouble or danger. Jace liked danger, though. "It's not boring, so I'm happy."
Those were the right words, apparently, because he got a sloppy wet kiss from Harry right on his cheek. "You're perfect," Harry praised, smearing it away with his palm gently. It turned into a caress, and Jace watched Harry watch him fondly. "Dealing with the trouble I bring so easily." His eyes gleamed bright down at Jace, and they were so beautiful.
Suddenly, Jace was more awake then before, and he wished Sirius and Remus and Teddy were gone so he could do private things with Harry. He shifted the slightly older man on his lap, and Harry licked at his lips, obviously knowing why he did that. The tease that was Harry Potter… Jace nearly outright groaned.
"With you, Harry, there is always trouble." Sirius laughed, though it was somewhat tense.
Harry pouted and glanced up Sirius. "Not true. I had a few months of silence a while back."
"Oh, I remember that. What happened after, Rem?" he asked, grinning at his partner.
Remus grinned right back at him. "There was a hoard of pixies—"
The front door was opened so suddenly and the laughing mood vanished quicker than a vampire getting staked. Jace didn't know what he was expecting, but he was ready to fight.
Until Alec and Magnus walked in.
Alec frowned at the stares they received. "What?"
"You should probably get better locks," Magnus said. He stepped inside fully, slipping his coat off to hang it on the rack next to the door, Alec shutting the door behind him. "You know, because of the masked group of wizards out to get you. One alohamora later and you'll be dead."
Everyone, including Harry who had been squeezing Jace's arms that were around his stomach—he had automatically hooked them around Harry when the door opened, ready to protect—with his fingernails practically clawed into his skin, exhaled and relaxed.
Because they were safe. And weren't going to be attacked.
And really, Jace thought, it would be a good idea to get those wards up soon.
The sun was rising now; he saw it before Alec shut the door. The city's buildings casting great shadows. And Jace saw all of them, worn and tired, had their own shadows underneath their eyes, probably his self, too.
He nudged Harry with his chin at his neck, who was confused at the touch. "How about a little slumber party?" Jace asked with little to no enthusiasm (really, none at all, he was too tired to have any).
Alec blinked at him from where he was taking off his shoes. "A slumber party?" he deadpanned. "Three gay couples are going to have a slumber party?"
Jace grinned. "Exactly."
"That sounds like a porno," Magnus said, smiling from ear-to-ear. "Actually—"
"I don't want to hear about this—"Alec started, eyes pleading. It was a look Jace was familiar with, having to deal with Magnus and his outrageousness that occurred most of the time.
Sirius was off the couch second flat, asking Magnus about his story, while Remus pressed his hand to his forehead in shame.
Alec was begging Magnus to stop with his sex story that Jace heard involved loads of butter for some reason, and Remus was begging Sirius to stop asking Magnus about it, looking a bit flustered himself. Harry and Jace just looked at each other and did that silent communication thing his godfathers did earlier, wondering why suddenly everyone was so awake and loud when they appeared so dead on their feet. Probably their last burst of energy.
Then Harry jumped up from Jace's legs, shoving him back a bit but Jace forgave him because of his perfect view of Harry's bum, and clapped his hands and said, "Everyone shudup!" and everybody was silent.
Full of energy though his face showed his weariness, Harry glanced back at Jace and smiled. "Sounds good, Jace. Slumber party, with slumbering only," Harry said, looking at Magnus while he said that. "You all look mad tired. Make camp in the living room. Conjure some beds or sleep on the floor, it doesn't matter. Remy and Sirius, you can go sleep with Teddy, yeah? And in a few hours we'll start tracking this guy down. But first, rest."
_BREAK_
AN HOUR EARLIER. AT MAGNUS AND ALEC'S PLACE.
Magnus and Alec were searching for items needed for the tracking spell. Potions and plants and herbs, and plenty of other things Magnus said was needed. Alec had never really looked at all the little stuff Magnus used for his "job" but it was actually pretty fascinating.
Until he started yelling at him, of course.
"The green plant with yellow spikes, Alec, not the green plant with orange spikes. I need the right leaves."
Alec rolled his eyes and set the plant down. "Sorry. They looked the same."
Magnus seemed close to sighing, but he settled for rolling his eyes at Alec instead. "Orange and yellow are not the same. I really must teach you the color wheel."
Thought I'd add a little malec fun because I love malec!
Next Chapter: Confessions are made.
Warning: For future chapters, things will get bloody and sexual. Not both together, though. And you might hate me in about four or five chapters.
