Sam POV -

My body feels likes it's floating in the blackness that surrounds me. There is no pain or sadness. No demons or angels. No good vs. bad. Just a lightness that I wish would last forever.

But of course all great things must come to an end and that's why I find myself groaning loudly as I roll over and sit up, the thin white sheet that had been wrapped around me falling down around my waist. I rub my hands down my face, trying to clear the sleep from my eyes before looking back up and squinting into the darkish room, the only light streaming through the small cracks around the closed shades. I groan again, this time a bit quieter, as I roll over and place my feet on the cold, carpeted ground. As I look down, I notice that I'm still in the same clothes as the night before and I frown as the memories from last night come back to me.

When I look up to confirm that the girls weren't something I was making up or dreaming about, I'm shocked to see that the cute, little brunette and her friend are still asleep and very much not a dream, though I know I shouldn't be. I stare at them a bit longer, my brows furrowed as I ponder who they are and what they're hiding before deciding that no matter how long I stare at them, I won't be getting any of my concerns or questions answered now, so I might as well hit the shower before the ladies get ahold of it and use up all the hot water.

Taking a quick leak and then discarding my clothes on the gray-ish, white tiled floor, I spin to turn on the shower head, leaving my hand under the spray until the water heats up and I can finally jump in.

Once the water hits my skin, I instantly relax. The knots that seemed to be in every muscle in my body untangle and I let out a sigh of relief. I stand under the shower head for a minute before quickly soaping up. I take a pretty short shower, knowing that there are three other people that need to use it, I feel one hundred percent better and more like myself when I finish anyway. Hopping out, I grab the small, tan towel that's hanging by the door and wrap it around my waist, letting myself dry off a bit before I put on my clothes. I'm just about to head over to the toilet where I usually put my clothes when I realize that they're not there.

Crap. I must've forgot them because I was too focused on getting in the shower before the others. Well, it's still early and don't most people sleep in late when they don't have to worry about school or work in the morning? Hopefully neither of the girls will be up yet.

I walk back into the main room to see Lily awake, sitting up in the bed she is sharing and staring at Melanie impatiently. I clutch my towel a bit tighter to me, feeling slightly self conscious. I clear my throat and she immediately looks up at me, her eyes widening when she sees what I'm wearing, or, not wearing.

"Hi." I say awkwardly, moving my weight from foot to foot and looking down at them before looking back up at her when she doesn't answer right away. I smirk when I see that her mouth is in the shape of an O and her breathing has slightly elevated, her eyes traveling over my body. I clear my throat again, showing her my teeth as I grin at her.

"Um... Hi." She finally squeaks out.

"I forgot my clothes." As way of explanation for my half nakedness, pointing to my duffle bag that is lying at the foot of my bed, and walk over to it, still clutching the towel but walking confidently.

"So... Good shower?" She asks. I laugh through my nose, nodding my head up and down before replying.

"About as good as a motel shower is gonna get." I smile politely, turning around so that my back is to her.

"Yeah we should definitely get something a bit nicer next time. I mean... This place is kind of gross." I catch her gesturing around the room at the last second when I turn my head to look at her.

"Its kind of part of the job." I try to explain as I turn back around to rummage through my clothes, trying to find some clean ones.

"Ohhhh yeah! You're hunters!" She says a bit loudly with excitement and awe clear in her voice.

"Um... Yeah." I hesitate, wondering how she knows that, but decide against asking until Dean is awake. I grab a clean plaid shirt and some faded jeans before turning towards Lily again. "Welll I'm just gonna..." I say trailing off and starting to walk towards the bathroom once again.

"Oh, yeah." She scoffs, waving her hand at me to proceed. "Go ahead, I'll ah, just be here. Ya know." She continues.

I nod, and then turn away sighing inwardly. This is going to be much different from just Dean and I doing hunts.

When I'm done changing, I walk back out and see that Lily is lying down now, her eyes closed. I distantly wonder how someone who was so awake just a few minutes ago can go back to sleep so quickly. I look over to see that Dean is starting to wake up, his hand going up to wipe his face subconsciously as he lets out a loud groan.

He wakes up about ten minutes later and doesn't even bother to mumble out a hello before he stumbles his way over to his bag to pick out some clothes and then moves into the bathroom. At least he was smart enough to remember a pair of clothes. His shower is just as short as mine, maybe even shorter, and when he comes back out he stops to look at the occupied bed, his eyes widening and roaming over the figures on the bed with horror in his eyes as if he can't believe their are two ladies in our room and he hasn't screwed them yet. It's actually quite humorous.

I clear my throat for what seems like the tenth time this morning, making Dean jump and smile cockily at me.

"In time Sammy, I'll have 'em. You'll see." He says, walking over to the end of the bed to shove his dirty clothes back into his duffel.

"We should wake up the girls." I say, ignoring his comment. I had a feeling these girls had a bit more of brain located in their heads than the typical girl Dean usually went for.

"Ok. You do it." Dean says, probably not wanting to deal with them.

"No! You!" I exclaim, not wanting to chance pissing them off. We stare at each other for a moment and hold out our fists silently, symbolizing a rock-paper-scissor game. I smile, knowing that Dean always shoots scissors. We pat out fists down on our hands three times and he shoots scissors as predicted, and I shoot rock. I smile triumphantly, running a hand through my still wet hair to tame it a bit.

"Dammit." Dean grunts, and looks over to the queen sized bed where the girls are both sound asleep. He walks over to them, looking at them as if they're monsters and he, a child afraid of them. I watch as his brows furrow, looking between each girl before shrugging and putting one hand on Melanie's arm, shaking it gently a few times. She stirs once but doesn't wake. When he tries again and still doesn't wake he turns his face to me and gives me a wink before he turns back and slowly draws his hand down her arm, down her leg and then back up until he reaches her ass where he eventually squeezes her bottom.

"What the fuck do you think you're doing?" Melanie gasps, her eyes snapping open and showing her anger as she grabs his wrist and shoves it away.

"Time to wake up, kid. Rise and shine or whatever. Wake your lil' friend as well." He replies, stepping away from the bed. I roll my eyes at him when he's facing me and wonder how any girl could ever put up with his cocky attitude.

"Lil." Melanie whispers a bit harshly, hitting her arm with the outside of her hand.

"Go away." Lily mumbles, turning over so that she is facing away from her friend. One side of my mouth quirks up into a half smile as I remember how just fifteen minutes ago she was wide awake.

"Lily." Melanie says a little louder, shaking her this time around. She mumbles again but doesn't move. Damn, these girls were good sleepers.

"Lil!" Melanie screeches, hitting her friend harshly in the side, "Wake up!"

Lily grunts, opening her eyes and so I give her a gentle smile. She returns the gesture, her smile showing in her eyes. It quickly vanishes when Melanie smacks her again.

"What the fuck?!" She growls at Melanie, getting out of bed and grabbing some clothes from her bag, "Don't be a fucking bitch, Mel. Its not my fault you barely fucking slept." Lily barks out irritably, going into the bathroom to change.

"Well that was awkward." Dean points out. Melanie's eyes are trained on the door, a deep scowl on her face. She sighs loudly but doesn't move to get up and I can tell she is fuming on the inside. She sighs again and jumps up to get her clothes from her leather backpack before following Lily into the small bathroom, the door clicking and then locking behind her.

As soon as the door is closed, Dean pounces on the free time to talk.

"What the hell are we supposed to do about those two?" He whisper shouts, pointing to the door.

"We could bring them to Bobby's." I suggest. "He might be able to help explain all this."

Dean nods in response and is about to answer when the door suddenly opens, cutting off the conversation completely. Lily steps out of the bathroom sporting a red v-neck shirt, tight skinny jeans, that look painted onto her and black high heels. Her hair is atop her head in a neat bun, a few stray strands cramming the sides of her face. I notice I'm staring at her when she looks over at me, her brows furrowing as she looks down at herself.

"What?" She asks. I shake my head, indicating that it was nothing.

"Can we get some food then?" She asks, a smile appearing on her lips. "I am absolutely starving," she says dramatically, pointing to her stomach.

"Oh shut up." Melanie says, walking out of the bathroom, tucking her oversized gray, worn out Guns N' Roses shirt into her just as tight, torn up skinny jeans that are tucked inside her combat boots. "At least you got to eat last night."

"Yeah, that's because she ate my food!" Dean complains loudly.

"Can we please just go?" Melanie says, rolling her eyes at the repetitive conversation. She's clearly not in the best of moods this morning.

"Yeah. I'm getting hungry too." I say, trying to help out, but somehow it makes her angrier. She shoots me a hard glare and scoffs.

What did I do?

"C'mon, ladies!" Dean says, grabbing his duffle and moving towards the door. "We'll grab some grub and be on our merry way."

"Where are we going?" Lily asks, bending to grab her backpack before straightening and handing Melanie's hers.

"Up my ass. Where do you think, dumbass? They're taking us on a hunt."

"What crawled up your ass and died?" Lily retorts as we walk out to the car, Dean separating from us for a few minutes to check out. I grab the two bags from Melanie and Lily's shoulders and shove all of our bags into the trunk, trying to stay out of the conversation, but still listening.

"Sorry." Melanie mumbles, "I'm just... Stressed? Everything, yknow?" Her voice is quieter now.

"Yeah." Lily says solemnly, Believe me, I get it." She clears her throat and gets into the back of the car, not waiting for Melanie's response. Melanie follows suit, but not before giving me a hard glare, tears brimming her eyes.

I cock my head, trying to figure out what the heck is going on, feeling more confused than ever. Who are these two girls and why do I get the feeling that they are about to change our whole lives and spin our world upside down?

Dean comes out then, twirling keys in hands, while whistling.

"Ready, Sammy?" He asks, a big smile on his face as he walks over to his side of the Impala and opens the door, sitting heavily down into his seat before slamming his door shut. The Chevy comes to life seconds later and I'm rushing into the car.

The ride is short and quiet. The only sound is the quiet hum of the Impala and the drawl of Kid Rock singing Rebel Soul. Once we get to the diner, Lily and Melanie both get out of the car before we do. I look over at Dean to see him looking at me with just as much confusion on his face as I'm sure is written all over mine. We both shrug at the same time and jump out, following the girls into the old fashioned diner.

The walls are a bright white color with black and gray photos hanging all over them. The floor is checkered white and black and the booths are red with a wide white stripe running down the middle while the bar seats are just red. The bar that runs the length of most of the diner is white and filled with patrons eating their morning meal and reading a book or magazine. In the far corner of the diner is a retro jukebox that sits quietly. It's actually one of the nicer diners Dean and I have been to.

I see an empty booth in the back and shove Dean's shoulder, gesturing towards it. Dean nods and starts walking confidently towards it, the rest of us following him. He scoots in on one side and I'm about sit next to him when Lily pushes past me and rushed in to sit next to him, a bit closer than necessary. Dean looks surprised, but doesn't object. Instead he smiles cockily up at me, his arm coming to rest behind Lily's head. I look over to Melanie and see her roll her eyes at the duo, a frown on her face as she takes the inside corner on the other side, and I take the seat next to her. She barely looks at me, keeping her eyes focused on the wall next to her, but I can distinctly see her eyes watering up.

"Mel..." Lily starts, almost whining.

Melanie clears her throat and picks up her menu quietly. I see her quickly wipe under her left eye before mumbling softly "Sorry." She says to no one in particular, but I have a funny feeling it's directed at my brother and I more than it is for her best friend.

Dean nods in acknowledgement, but says nothing more on the subject. We are all tense when the older, brown haired, with too small glasses, dressed in a blue and white uniform waitress finally makes her way over to us. Her southern accent is thick and I can tell our tension is making her feel just as uncomfortable as we do. Each one of us orders, Dean and Lily seeming to order everything on the menu before the nice waitress takes our menus and hurries away in the direction of the kitchen.

"So..." Lily starts, trailing off at the end so that someone else can jump in and take over the conversation. When no one does, she continues. "What's it like killing demons and such?"

"Lil!" Melanie almost yells.

"What? I'm curious." She replies as if she's dealt with this type of situation before.

"You don't just ask someone what's it like to kill a person." She fires back.

"Like you aren't curious little miss I-can't-wait-to-join-the-military."

"You want to join the military? Which branch?" I ask, trying to defuse the hostility that seems to be making itself known in Melanie's voice.

"Looks like that's not happening anytime soon, huh?" Melanie spits out, glaring at me.

The waitress comes just in time, making everyone halt in the conversation as she sets down our food. We all eat our meal in an uncomfortable silence, and at the end of the meal, after fighting Melanie on letting her pay for her meal, Dean and I both take out a few bills, throwing them down on the table and standing, almost rushing out the diner and away from the tension.

I find a rock and kick it all the way across the parking lot, in the direction of the car. I find another one and do the same thing until we are all at our doors.

"Where are we going?" Melanie finally asks, her hands across her chest in a defensive stance, though her face is smooth and hard. God, she was going to be tough to handle.

"We're goin' on a hunt." Dean lies smoothly as he unlocks the doors. Lily looks up, surprised as Melanie's flutters up and down, trying to hide her excitement.

"Cool." She says, shrugging when she finally gets her emotions under control, her features cleaned into a hard mask.

When we are all seated and comfortable in the car, Dean starts the car and rev's the engine, before he places it into drive and screeches out of the parking lot, ACDC's Highway to Hell blaring through the speakers.

Bobby, I hope you're ready, because here we come.
