The sun instantly caught Ness's violet eyes as he stepped outside. In both corners was a beautiful purple shimmer that could almost reflect and cause an elegant ray of light to follow his sight.
Lucas's eyes, however, displayed a pool of cerulean waves that had a striking resemblance to a calm lake that glistened in the Sun's rays. Both eyes presented little circles of white light that defined the beauty within them.
But the most magical part about their eyes was the fact that not all of the beauty had been unleashed yet. It was yet to be triggered. The beauty was being preserved for a very special frame in time where two hearts would connect and form an unbreakable bond. When that time comes, an enchanting memory will be made. It will remain one of the most significant moments of their lives, and it will live as a story beyond their eyes forever.
Both of the boys calmly walked over to a tidy patch of grass and lowered themselves until they were sitting. For a brief moment, a sweet silence coated their surroundings, but it didn't have an effect on either of them. They didn't grow nervous or awkward... They were just embracing the positive weather and enjoying the company of their new friend. Everything was perfect.
Ness quietly let out a content sigh and gazed up at the mass of blue that was the sky. ''Lucas...'' His accent called, causing Lucas to smile to himself. He loved Ness's accent. It was such a beautiful melody.
''Yes, Ness?'' The blonde boy replied as he laid a hand onto the grass beside him. He was watching Claus and Tracy in the distance. Tracy had persuaded Claus to make daisy chains with her, and he already had three round his neck. Tracy was giggling as Claus had full concentration on looping the stems.
Ness turned to face the paler boy. He let a faint smile onto his lips as he saw the amusement in his eyes. ''I was sinking...''
Lucas directed his attention to Ness and tilted his head slightly. ''About what?'' He asked, innocence projecting straight from his voice box.
''Well, it's such a lovely day...'' The violet-eyed boy stated, letting his eyes drop to Lucas's hand which was still placed on the grass.
Lucas waited patiently for Ness to continue. He let himself become intrigued by the way the soft breeze ran through his raven locks and made them gently dance around.
Ness brought his eyes back to Lucas's face again, a faded blush had crept onto his cheeks. ''I was wondahing if you'd like me to show you somesing special...''
Lucas felt his heart miss a beat. He recognised a warm feeling beginning to spread within him. Ness wanted to show him something special?
''I haven't shown anybody befoh. It's been my sec'het because it's so amazing.'' Ness said this with a soft voice that read: You're special.
Lucas let his eyes roam Ness's face before letting his head move in a slow nod. He was excited, but unable to express it because he felt funny inside.
The raven-haired boy gave a sweet giggle before gently lowering his hand down to place it on top of Lucas's. ''You stay heyah, I'll tell our pa'hents sat we ah going foh a walk.'' He let his hand slowly slide off Lucas's as he stood up from the grass. ''I won't be long!'' He sang.
The blonde boy's eyes followed Ness as he skipped away. He could still feel the ghost of Ness's hand gently caressing his own and it influenced a joyful smile to creep onto his lips. Still in a loveable daze, the boy turned back to face Claus and Tracy. The two were now making flower crowns from tiny daisies. He could faintly hear their conversation and it lifted his mood even more to see Claus getting along so well with the young girl.
''You look great in your crown, Claus!''
''Hmm, I think it needs some more daisies.''
''Add this one in! It's so beautiful!''
''Woah, that's the prettiest daisy I've seen yet!''
Lucas gave a content sigh and twirled his finger in the grass. He was so glad that he came along today. Imagine if he hadn't? He'd still be at home, completely missing out on this beautiful evening. He wouldn't have met Ness, and he wouldn't be going somewhere special.
''Lucas! Come on! Sey said we ah allowed!'' Ness called from the back door, gesturing for Lucas to follow him.
Lucas stood up from the grass and wiped himself down. He then began to run towards Ness, only to be greeted by an unexpected hug. He blushed slightly and allowed himself to be gently squeezed.
''I'm so excited to show you!'' Ness beamed, wrapping his arms around the slightly shorter boy.
''I'm excited to see!'' Lucas replied, smiling as Ness let go of him.
The raven-haired boy giggled and tilted his baseball cap that Lucas was still wearing. ''Sat suits you so well!''
The blue-eyed boy blushed again, putting his hands behind his back.
''But we bettah huhhy.'' Ness took ahold of Lucas's hand again and began to lead him indoors.
Hinawa, Flint and Ness's mother were still in the kitchen. They were all sat around the table, coffee in hand, discussing what they had been up to this past year.
It didn't take long for Hinawa to notice the boys. She nodded at Ness before turning to her youngest twin son. ''Ness has told me about you two going out for a walk. He's going to bring you back in about an hour, okay?'' She told him, voice soft like silk.
''Yes, mom.'' Lucas leant over to his mother and planted a gentle kiss on her cheek.
Flint ruffled Ness's hair. ''Y'all look after yourselves.'' He gave a friendly smile to the boy.
''We will!'' Ness chirped, eyes arching as he cheerfully grinned.
''Bye, mom! Bye, dad! Bye, Ness's mom!'' Lucas waved, feeling slightly more confident in Ness's company.
The adults all simultaneously waved, watching the boys leave the house before going back into their conversation. But of course, the conversation had changed to how overjoyed they were that their children were getting along.
A/N: Next chapter is when they arrive at their special place.
