A/N HELLO ALL YOU SWEET REVIEWERS! I spent literally my whole Sunday writing this, you guys BETTER BE FRIGGIN' HAPPY! D: Okay, enough threatening comments, on with the chapter~

For the next few days Allen somehow got used to having Kanda around (Surprisingly). Lenalee, Kanda and Allen pretty much went everywhere together. Of course Kanda would much rather have him and Lenalee alone, but he wasn't quite ready to act on his feelings so he was actually sorta glad that Allen was there to not make things awkward. Lenalee adored Allen so where ever he went, the green haired girl wasn't too far behind, and where ever Lenalee went, Kanda begrudgingly followed...for obvious reasons. Their classes however, weren't all that convenient and the only period they had all together was lunch.

The three of them sat together in the cafeteria, laughing and joking around like normal teenagers do. Lenalee gaped at the enormous pile of food that crowded Allen's tray while Allen ate without a care and Kanda plastered a disgusted expression on his face.

"Who eats this damn much?" Kanda asked incredulously, gawking at the enormous stack of food.

"Not everyone can live off soba noodles." Allen retorted, earning a 'che' from the samurai and a laugh from Lenalee. Everything was great and the three of them were off in their own little world.

Lavi had been on his way to a staff meeting when he passed by the lunchroom, spying a familiar head of white hair. Curiously, he peeked in and immediately was surprised when he saw the long ponytail that belonged to none other than Kanda. A feeling of uneasiness washed over Lavi at seeing the same guy who was bullying Allen a few days before, now seated comfortably next to him eating noodles.

No, it doesn't work like that! You can't just bully someone then expect them to be your best friend the next day! Lavi pouted at the unfairness of the situation. Sure Kanda did get in trouble but Lavi had wanted to do so much more for hurting his precious Allen-chan! After he finished throwing a mental tantrum, Lavi went back to peeking in on them. He noticed Allen point at Kanda then at Lenalee and the Chinese girl laughed, hugging the usually cold samurai tightly. What Lavi found odd was that as soon as Lenalee made contact, the boy immediately froze, then the faintest blush dusted his cheeks before disappearing completely.

"Ohohoh~" Lavi whistled and his mouth twisted into a Cheshire cat grin. "He's got a crush on Lenalee, eh?" Lavi shoved his hands into both his pants pockets and strolled down the hallway, trying to play it cool and not look like a giddy, grinning, idiot. Although on the inside Lavi was pretty excited about the information he had just acquired.

Meanwhile, Allen sighed at his failure to help Lenalee become slightly aware of Kanda's crush, but then again Lenalee was kind of dense. All she did was hug him and Kanda didn't really have much of a reaction, though Allen swore he saw him blushing slightly. Allen dismissed that thought quickly, looking at the scowl that presently graced Kanda's face. No way Kanda would blush, hell would sooner freeze over!

At this point the bell for last period rang and the trio reluctantly got up and moved on with the remainder of their school day.

Allen let out a huge sigh of relief, classes were now over and he could finally leave. He stepped out of the front doors of the school in a swift motion, stretching his arms to the sky and wincing as the sun blinded him momentarily. Lenalee walked at a steady pace alongside him, chattering happily while Kanda reluctantly occupied the other side, being silent as usual. Oddly enough, Allen's thoughts drifted to Lavi. The red head hadn't been in his life much except for during class (which Allen still couldn't write any notes for) He frowned. Allen wouldn't admit it, but he really did miss Lavi. Wait, should I really be thinking about my teacher in this way? No... These thoughts are forbidden.

Lost in thought about his teacher, Allen had unconsciously crossed the street after putting his feet on auto pilot. It was only after the car honked it's horn obnoxiously loud, did Allen notice the vehicle speeding towards him. He couldn't help it and froze up. Panic overtaking his senses, he squeezed his eyes shut and braced himself for impact. Then it was all a blur, a flurry of motions crossed Allen's field of vision and he felt himself being knocked to the ground.

"Dumbass!" Allen heard someone growl from above him and he opened his eyes to a piercing blue glare.

"K-Kanda?" Allen asked disbelievingly.

"Who else? Pay more fucking attention."

In the distance Allen could see the tire tracks where the car had swerved. A few seconds later the car shot past, the driver cursing angrily. When the car was just a dot on the horizon, Allen let out a huge sigh of relief. He realized just moments later that Kanda still hovered above him, his legs spread on either side of Allen's waist. Kanda was panting and looked a bit pale, yet Allen couldn't help but blush and look away, they were so close that if he sat up his face would be buried in the other's chest!

"What happe-" Lenalee started as she ran up to the two boys, concern etched onto her face. She abruptly stopped in her tracks and blushed when she saw the position they were in. She turned away from them in an apparent act of modesty, yet in reality she was really looking for her cell phone to snap a picture. To be honest she was kind of a yaoi fan~

"Um... you can get off me now." Allen muttered, a heated blush covering his cheeks.

"No shit, *pant* why would I- *pant* want to be anywhere near you moyashi?" Kanda muttered, climbing off of Allen's torso and brushing the dust off himself. Allen winced at the scratches on the boy's hands. He felt guilty that Kanda got hurt while he didn't get a scratch on him. Allen turned to Lenalee who had been scrolling through her phone with a weird grin on her face.

"Lenalee, you weren't injured right?" Lenalee snapped out of her little daze and looked up at him.

"Huh? Oh, no i'm fine. Kanda pushed me out of the way when he saw you stop in the middle of the street." She explained, her tone slightly scolding. "Why did you stop so suddenly Allen?" She inquired.

Allen didn't really have an answer. It's not like he could tell her that he was thinking about how much he missed his English teacher, that'd be weird.

"I don't know, but Kanda you pushed Lenalee out the way and tackled me to the ground just to stop us from getting hit?" Allen asked, attempting to change the subject. Allen really was curious about why he did it. He understood why he'd save Lenalee, but... why him too?

"Che." Was the only answer that Kanda was willing to give. Allen smiled, he was convinced that Kanda was a pretty nice guy.

"Speak of the devil." Or in this case, think of him. Allen groaned, eyeing the red head who lounged lazily on the couch that Cross usually claimed.

Lavi grinned mischievously, "are you implying something with that statement Allen~?"

The snowy haired teen rolled his eyes heavenward, "not to be rude but, why are you here Lavi? It's weird having your English teacher in your house..." Plus, I almost died because of you today. Allen thought to himself.

Lavi pouted, "that's mean Allen." He replied, rolling over on the couch with his back to the small teen.

"Why were you sitting with your bully at lunch today?" Lavi asked in a serious tone. Allen whipped his head up, "why were you spying?"

"Don't give me that, I was just looking out for you." Lavi spoke softly and Allen was surprised that he could sound so gentle.

"Well, he did save me from being hit by a car today." Allen shrugged as if it wasn't a big deal. Lavi shot up from the couch. "Seriously?! Wow, guess I can't plot my revenge against him anymore." The red head responded with a devious look in his eyes. Allen was about to sigh heavily until his phone vibrated against his leg. Curiously, Allen reached into his pants pocket, pulling out his phone and blinking irritably at the bright screen.

It was from Lenalee.

*Wanna go 2 the beach tmmrow?*

*Kanda & my bro r coming*

To say that Allen was surprised would be an understatement. He'd never really been invited to just hang out before. He sat there a moment, holding the phone awkwardly. Lavi noticed his silence and rolled over on the couch to face him.

"What's up?" He asked cautiously, trying to avoid incurring Allen's wrath for not minding his own business.

"Lenalee wants to go to the beach tomorrow...and well I don't know if I should go." Allen scratched the back of his head, and wore a slight frown. Lavi however, perked up at the prospect of a day of sand, surf, and sun.

"Hell yeah, we should go!" Lavi cheered, punching the air and sitting up abruptly on the couch.

Allen's eyes narrowed, "I don't believe she invited you..." the snowy haired teen said nonchalantly.

Lavi sulked. "You're right, it'd be weird if I just showed up huh? Who's going?"

"Lenalee, Kanda, and Lenalee's brother." Allen replied.

A startled gasp escaped Lavi's mouth as a light bulb seemed to light up above his head. "Kanda and Lenalee are going?! WE should set them up!" The red head grinned, pointing between him and Allen.

"I even have a plan!" Lavi bounced excitedly, jumping off the couch. Allen groaned, this seemed like a headache.

"Tell Lenalee you can't go!" Lavi ordered.

"What? Bu-"

"JUST DO IT!" He whined enthusiastically, like a kid in a candy store.

"Fine, chill out." Allen sighed, texting the reply on his phone.

*Sorry, can't come...*

"Okay, now... the perfect disguises...muahahaha" Lavi attempted to act like an evil scientist, laughing menacingly and rubbing his hands his together in a threatening motion. Already Allen was regretting his decision.

The next day Allen woke up particularly early and took a quick shower, slipping on his swimming trunks.

"What I wouldn't give for a nice peaceful weekend." Allen said with a sigh. Not a second after, Lavi pulled up in front of his house, honking his horn loudly. Allen walked over to the window to see the grinning redhead, exiting his jet black colored car. Allen walked to the front door, pulling it open to reveal a giddy Lavi, holding up a plastic bag.

"What's that for?" Allen asked cautiously, eyeing the bag like there was a bomb inside.

"You'll see!" Lavi said with a grin, reaching inside. When he pulled out what was in the bag, Allen nearly doubled over laughing.

"Fake mustaches?" He asked disbelievingly, laughing and clutching his stomach.

"What? They work!" Lavi pouted, attaching a rather thick and bushy black one to his face.

"That's what you came up with? THIS is your grand master plan?" Allen snorted.

"Hey! I'm trying my best!" Lavi protested, ripping the stache' off with a manly whimper. "Well try the best of someone better!" Allen scoffed, watching the red head rub his face and wince.

"Y'know what- Oh!" Lavi brightened, rummaging through the bag for something that he must have forgotten. Allen watched his actions suspiciously as Lavi pulled out a tiny white case.

"The contacts!" He grinned victoriously, inching closer to the snowy haired teen.

"I don't need any contacts!" Allen protested, backing up.

"Come on! You'd look awesome with these, they're just part of your disguise." Lavi persuaded. With that, Allen bolted, Lavi not far behind. The two ran aimlessly around the house, skidding around corners and knocking over lamps, boxes, picture frames, you name it. Lavi shouted for the young teen to just wear the damn contacts, and Allen refusing adamantly. Finally Allen had run out of places to run and Lavi had cornered him in the younger's bedroom. They both were panting heavily and out of breath from the chase, Lavi glared and shook the small container of contacts suggestively, at the same time he attempted to catch his breath. Allen wheezed and panted, bending over and placing his hands on his knees.

"I DON'T NEED ANY CONTACTS, LAVI!" Allen yelled between breaths.

"YES YOU DO, IT GOES WITH THE PLAN! QUIT BEING SO DIFFICULT!"The red head growled and panted. Allen glared and wiped his forehead of the remaining sweat that threatened to blur his vision. Lavi took this as a chance to strike and tackled the poor boy on the bed.

Lavi hovered above Allen, panting, sweating, and slightly flushed. "JESUS ALLEN! IT'S NOT GONNA KILL YOU, JUST LET ME PUT THIS THING IN ALREADY!" Lavi shouted in irritation at the out of breath boy beneath him as he held one of the contacts just inches from the other's eye.

A second later the door creaked open, revealing a blushing Lenalee who looked on the verge of a nose bleed and a scowling Kanda who turned the other way. Jeez, maybe I don't need to play cupid... they seem to have it covered. Lenalee thought as she ogled the two males in their very... suggestive pose.

"How did you get in here...?" Lavi asked, which was literally the first thing to pop into his head.

*Ahem* "Cross let us in." Lenalee replied, cursing herself for leaving her cellphone in the kitchen.

"Cross is here?" Allen shouted, blushing furiously and shoving Lavi off of him and onto the floor.

"Yeah, he just left." Lenalee stated, raising an eyebrow at the teen's behavior. I wonder... if they didn't know Cross was here would they still be doing whatever they were just doing?

"Why are you here? Aren't you two supposed to be at the beach?" Allen asked nervously.

Lenalee snorted, "didn't u see my text?"

"No, what text?" Allen asked, scooping his cell up from his dresser. Allen fumbled around with his phone for a second before checking his messages.

*Sorry, can't come...*

*Y not? U got plans with Lavi? -wiggles eyebrows-*

Oh. Allen thought, that was when Lavi had distracted me...

"When you didn't answer I figured that you did have plans with Lavi, so i came here prepared to drag you to the beach when we walked in on your little-"

"Let me stop you right there, we weren't doing anything like that! We were planning on following you two!" Allen blushed, gesturing to Kanda and Lenalee.

"Che, you two are the worst spies ever." Kanda scowled, It was the first thing he said since he got here.

"Pshh! No way! We would've been like ninjas out there!" Lavi boasted.

"Doubt it, we'd notice you first baka usagi." Kanda denied. Soon after the two got into a little argument while Allen face palmed in the corner.

"Aww man!" Lenalee sighed, interrupting the argument. "What's up?" Allen asked with a concerned expression.

"The fireworks start soon and we'll never reach there in time for them if we go by bus..." Lenalee pouted, disappointment written all over her face.

"What are you talking about? You've got me to drive you!" Lavi grinned, swirling his car keys around his finger. Allen blanched at the thought of Lavi driving again ever since his reckless rampage on the streets when they were just innocently trying to get to school. He drove like an escaped criminal trying to get rid of the police on his tail. Allen almost said something until Lenalee's expression brightened.

"Oh yeah, would you do the honors." She smiled. Allen couldn't do it. He couldn't crush Lenalee's hope.

Allen was right however, Lavi drove even more recklessly. The thought of seeing the fireworks spurred on his excitement.

"Oi, stupid rabbit, can't you drive any slow-" the car hit a speed bump and Kanda being the tallest one, his head hit the roof of Lavi's car. Must have been pretty hard too based on the crunch sound that his skull made. It took all of Lenalee and Allen's strength to keep the samurai from decapitating the driver, no matter how bad they wanted him too. By the end of the trip everyone except Lavi looked ready to throw up.

"You guys are a bunch of sissies." Lavi teased, earning a few murderous glares from the group of teens. They hopped out of the car and shuffled over into the sand, it was a bit dark outside but the fireworks hadn't started yet so they made it on time.

"Lenalee, where's your brother?" Allen asked curiously, seeing as they hadn't arrived with him.

"Oh yeah, he was roped into doing some last minute paper work and said he'd be here a bit late." Lenalee replied, peeling off her skirt and revealing her light blue swimsuit. Kanda's eyes widened a bit before looking off to the side. Allen was smirking until he saw Lavi's eyes on her as well and his mood shifted a degree darker. Allen elbowed Lavi in the side.

"Ow! Jeez, what did I do?" The red head offered a weak glare.

"It's weird having our English teacher here." Allen retorted vaguely, kicking his feet in the sand.

Lavi shrugged,"then just think of me as your everyday random sexy guy you find on any beach." They all rolled their eyes. It may have been a bit dark but it was still pretty hot and stifling outside, so everyone except Kanda walked towards the ocean. Kanda laid on a towel under a beach umbrella, drinking a soda and keeping a hand on Mugen. Does he take that thing every where? Allen wondered, before Lavi proceeded to dunk him under the water.

"La-Lavi!" Allen spluttered, just barely keeping his head above the surface.

"It's what you get for always staring off into space Allen~" The red head called out mischievously behind him as he swam away from the fuming whitette. Allen however, wouldn't let that go so easily and grabbed Lavi's foot.

"He-Hey! That's cheating!" Lavi shouted nervously as he tried to stay afloat. It was in vain though as the red head plunged into the deep blue water and a soaking wet Allen laughed profusely from dry land. Lenalee giggled at their antics and dragged Allen away to go play volleyball. A water logged Lavi bounded up onto dry land a moment later, cursing to himself.

"Mr. Bookman?" Lavi heard someone shout from behind him and turned around to see a grinning Komui.

"Yo~! Sister complex how ya doin'?" Lavi greeted, earning an odd look from the Chinese man.

"What's that?"

Lavi rolled his eyes, informing the man that it was not important. A smile returned to the man's face as he asked where his 'darling Lenalee' was. Lavi shrugged and thrust his thumb in the direction of the volleyball game between Lenalee and Allen.

"Ah! What is she wearing?! I can't let those filthy boys see her like that! Lenalee~!" The man yelled, about to sprint off in her direction, until he stopped for second. He turned and faced Lavi with an incredulous look.

"What're you doing here anyway?" Komui asked curiously.

"Oh, y'know someone's gotta chaperone these kids, besides who would turn down the beach?" Lavi replied. Komui nodded before speeding off towards Lenalee. With nothing better to do, Lavi settled for going to the beach cafe and buying a drink. While he was there, a beautiful blonde woman sporting dark black sunglasses caught his attention and he immediately struck up a conversation, totally forgetting about the silver haired boy.

Said boy was sweat dropping as Komui continued to threaten every male who came within 2 feet of Lenalee, covering his beloved sister with a multitude of towels. Allen was lucky that Lenalee proclaimed him as a friend before Komui bit his head off, although he still received a glare or two. Allen had nothing to do now seeing as it was impossible to play volleyball without Komui on his back for Lenalee possibly getting hurt. Sighing, the boy returned to the spot where Kanda was sitting up straight and meditating, his hand still on mugen.

In the distance a loud scream was heard as some poor bastard tried to hit on Lenalee when Komui's back was turned. Allen couldn't help but laugh.

"I don't see how you can get her." Allen sympathized as he watched Komui drag the guy into the ocean.

"Fuck off moyashi, I would be focusing on my own love life if I were you." The grumpy samurai growled, making Allen realize that he hadn't seen Lavi in a while. Wait... why did I automatically think of Lavi when I heard 'love life?' Don't do it, brain. Allen thought with a frown as he scanned the beach for any signs of the red head. His heart dropped when he saw him laughing with a beautiful woman.

Meanwhile, Lavi was fawning over the blonde lady who wouldn't give him the time of day. "Oh come on, at least tell me your name?" Lavi coaxed, watching as the woman poured herself a glass of milk. Weird... The woman seemed to hesitate a bit before tugging off her shades and staring him in the eyes.

"If it'll stop you from harassing me then fine, it's Lulu bell and sorry to break it to you but you're too young for me." With that she walked away, attending to the other customers in the cafe.

"She's... intriguing." Lavi murmured with a smirk, before turning his back on the beach cafe and walking back to his waiting friends.
