CHAPTER 2

AMU' S P.O.V.

gym

"ALRIGHT BRAT'S! LISTEN UP!" Shouted the gym teacher for this period, Coach Sanjo, or otherwise known as Demon-women, Slave driver, or evil in human form. "Amu!" kukai whisper/yelled at me. "You lied! I thought I had gym first period with Coach Miller! Not Demon-women!" He hissed at me, even going so far as to allowing his fangs to peek out a bit."Yeah well, I lied. Now shut up!" I hissed back, my golden eyes glaring at my older bother. He simply 'hmmf!' and let the subject drop.

"Today, we'll be starting flying ed so I'm going to sort you all into catagorys based of your power levels. Remember! You'll be working in pairs until the end of the semester!" I froze at that. "Um, Phycho-sensei?" called a voice from behind me. I turned to see a tall male with blue eyes barely seen from under his cloak. There was a grand total of fifteen students here who had to wear cloaks, myself included. His sent seemed is what caught my attention however. It's a little...exotic to say the least. Not different from a genie or something of the sort mixed with something else. Strange how he's wearing a cloak though. Most genie' s prefer to get as much Sun as possible.

"What was that, you damn puck?!" Coach Sanjo yelled. The mysterious boy ignored her question however and continued on. "What about half-breeds?" he asked. "Excuse me?" Blinked, having been caught off guard by the seemingly random question."Half-breeds. What are you going to do with them group wise?" He clarified. "Why do you ask?" he seemed to hesitate for a minute before walking up and handing her a peice of paper. Half-breeds are not uncommon, but we do get overlooked often. In all honestly, if he hadn't asked that when he did, I would have had to.

"Alright." She spoke after reading the slip of paper. "Anyone who is a half bread who'll need to be put in a separate group from what is on my clipbored, raise your hand." Kukai nudged my arm. "Raise your hand space cadet!" He whispered to me. I flinched out of shock before shooting my hand in the air

"Hinamori-san." she said with a slightly bewildered expression on her face - having more than likely forgotten about my supposed half-breed genetics - before quickly recovering. "Alright. get over here. As for the rest of you, you know what you are. Witch's with witch's, vampire's with vampire's, etc etc. Now go!"

After everyone was stationed with they're group, Coach Sanjo came over to the mysterious kid and I.

"Alright, now Tsukiyomi-san, what are you again?" she asked.

"Sunlight-sensitive vampire on my dads side, genie on my mom's."

"Right. And Hinamori-san? What about you?"

"Im a sunlight-sensitive vampire on my dad's side too, butI'm also part witch on my mom's side." I explained. "Hmm' She hummed in response. "Well, it seems to me you too should have about the same magic skill level then. So I guess I'll be pairing you too together for the rest of the semester." And with that, Phycho-sensei, as I'm now going to Refer to her as, walked off to go boss around other students.

"Tsukiyomi Ikuto" I turned to face the guy besides me, unsure about what he was talking about. "Huh?" He let out a sigh. "My name. Its Tsukiyomi Ikuto." My eyes widened, realization finally dawning on me. "Your that guy from potions 101!" A flash a Recognition ran threw his eyes for a second before he spoke up again. "Your that girl in next to me?"

"HEY! Tsukiyomi! Hinamori! less flirting, more flying!" Phycho-sensei snapped. I blushed and quickly got a broom and got into position. "Well, lets fly." Ikuto said, getting in position as well. I nodded and began to focus on willng my broom to fly."surgite et ascendamus in excelsum supra hoc scopa muska" I chanted, feeling myself begin to levitate. I felt the a few dozen pairs of eyes burn their way through the back of my skull. "GOOD JOB HINAMORI! TSUKIYOMI!" Phycho-sensei shouted up at us. I looked to my left to find that Ikuto was indeed right next to me. Cringing, I heard the bell go off, signaling the end of second period.

"YOU BOTH PASS FOR TODAY!" she told us. I looked at Ikuto and gave him a victory smirk which, he returned as we came back down.

Kukai came running over to us and when I got of my broom, I was instantly pulled towards him and he slung his arm around my neck. "Nice job you baby-sis! Can you show me how to do that?" Did I mention I cant breath? Giving kukai a small what I like to call 'love shock' - which is basically a small electrocution, just barely strong enough to be felt - he immediately withdrew his arm and backed away a few steps in fear that I'd shock him again, which I admit I have been known to do from time to time.

"Um, ow! Anyway, good job! So who's this?" He gestured to Ikuto. "This is Ikuto. We have potion 101 together. He's new." I explained. Kukai nodded before turning to face Ikuto. "So do you like any sports Ikuto? Wrestling? Boxing? American football? I like them all!" Kukai said, giving Ikuto the 'Big-brother' look, a combination of a playful smile and a small, challenging glare as if daring Ikuto to question him. "I don't play." He stated simply. Kukai hummed at this, nodding his head. "Well, we'd better get to class. See ya dude!" He shouted over his shoulder, dragging me with him towards the building. 'Brothers...'
