The Life of Albus Potter

Chapter 11: Without Norrie

So, for Christmas, I ended up getting a bunch of crap. Not literally, that's gross. Why the hell would you think that? Why am I even thinking of this...

Anyway, by that I mean a bunch of clothes that a normal eleven year old boy would not wear. Thank you, Auntie Muriel, for your kind consideration of giving me those unrurly outfits... I'll be sure to wear them to your funeral.

I'm not sure how she isn't dead yet, because I swear- she's older than Dumbledore was when he died! Dumbledore was pretty old.

I'm pretty sure I'm ADHD, because I keep getting off track. Whatever.

Today I got on the Hogwarts Express and I found Scorpius.

"Hey, where's Norrie?" I asked him, knowing he would know her location.

He frowned. "I don't know. She usually comes over at Christmas with Uncle Gregory and her brother Alex."

"She didn't this year?" I asked, worried.

"No, she didn't. Dad and mum seem uncomfortable talking about her when I asked where she was at the momment."

The happy balloon I had inside my chest then deflated. I was excited to see Norrie and Scorpius, but I was more excited to see Norrie. And to know that she was no where to be found? It made me worry, and I wanted to be the one to find her and hug her close. I wanted to be the one to snuggle her and tell her everything will be alright.

But that's a whole other fantasy.

"Strange." I said, and he nodded.

"I think it had something to do with her family, though. Come on, let's go find my other cosin."

We then soon found Alex, who smirked when Scorpius asked him where his younger sister was.

"Dead, of course. Nah, I'm joking with you." He gave a sneer.

"Well then where is she?" I snapped at him.

"Okay Potter, don't need to be so snappy! For your information you two, Norrie is currently in St. Mungos."

"Why is she?" Asked Scorpius, worry in his voice. He voiced the worry I had been feeling inside myself.

"Well, you see, she attempted suicide. As you can see, it didn't exactly work out."

And then everything in my mind became silent. My mind was calm, like it would be after a raging storm of destruction. Sort of like the eye of a hurricane, not forever calm, only halfway through the damage.

I couldn't hear Alex and Scorpius' voices it seemed. I mean, I knew that they were there, I just couldn't make out what they were saying. The world was fuzzy, and I wondered if I was crying or something. I wasn't sure.

"So... When will she get out?" I finally choked out.

"I don't know. Dad is pleased, you see, about her attempting it. Always been the odd one in the family, and he is right. If I had a daughter like that... She's a freak, she is."

"No she isn't." Scorpius and I said at the same time, defending Norrie.

"You don't know. Niether of you do, huh? Some friends of hers you both are. She hasn't told you her secret?"

"What's her secret?" I asked him, smally.

"She's a were-"

He was cut off by the sound of a scream, which I later realised to be his own. He had collapsed, and nobody exactly knew why.

Okay. This is really short, but it is kind of a filler chapter I guess. Can any of you guess what her secret is?
