Must we go over the disclaimer again? Yes, we must, sorry. I don't own Harry Potter, but I really wish I did... But life's not fair.
Oh! I got braces on March 18th, 2014! They are red on the top, and yellow on the bottom for Gryffindor! I'm turning 14 on June 2nd, and my parents might get me an IPhone... That's what I heard, so I'm hoping I get it.
To the story!
Chapter 12: Returns, Rose, and Revelations
The month of January passed by slowly without Norrie, but once February came, I burst with so much joy that Scorpius thought that my heart would fly out of my chest and land all the way in Canada.
I don't exactly think that that's possible, but it gave me quite a weird mental image to say at the least.
As I was saying- er, thinking I guess- February first made me very happy.
Scorpius and I went down to the Great Hall on February first, and were about to go to sit at our usaul spot at the Slytherin table that we've sat at since January (which included our roomate and new friend, Zack Zabini) when we saw a familiar girl sitting at the very end of the table all by herself.
I did not recognize the hair style, and it seemed to be a different color, but the eyes told me who it was.
It was Norrie.
"Norrie!" Scorpius exclaimed. I smiled and together we walked to where she was.
Her once black hair was now an auborn color, and her hair was cut to shoulder blade, and looked blow dried- it had a salon finished look.
Damn, I sound like Victorie there...
"Hey, you two." She softly said, piling some eggs onto her plate.
Scorpius sat next to her, and I sat across from her.
"So where have you been?" I asked, fully knowing the answer due to Alex.
"I believe my stupid brother has told you, since he tells everybody everything about my personal life."
"Yeah. Why did you-"
"Try to kill myself? Simple. If you two saw what happened at my house, you'd understand. Haven't you ever wondered why you've never been over to my house, Scorpius?"
He took a momment to sink in. During that momment, I looked at Norrie, and mouthed, "Abuse?"
She nodded her head, and mouthed back to me, "But I can't leave until my dad dies."
I frowned. It was a rule in some families in the Wizard World that the only way you can leave your family is if you are disowned. Otherwise, you have to wait for your parents to pass on.
I think that that's stupid, but nobody would listen to a eleven year old Slytherin boy If I tried to change anything about it.
"But, I'm better now, I suppouse. McGonagall came and gave me all of my work, and I finished it."
"Even Professor Weasley's essay on transfiguring a quill into a simple feather?" Scorpius asked, grinning at us.
Norrie gave a laugh. "Even that. It was really easy, I hope I get a good grade on it."
Zack Zabini came over and took a seat next to me. "Hey guys, hey Norrie."
"Hey, Zack." we all said in perfect harmony.
Zack Zabini looked a lot like his father. He had dark skin, dark brown eyes, and short black hair.
He smiled. "So. You lot ready for class?"
"Yeah, I am. Ready to sit in a desk and not a bloody hospital bed."
We all looked at her weirdly.
"What? They are hard and uncomfortable. It also smells weird in those types of places!"
"She has a point." I shrugged.
"You've been to Mungos, Al?" Zack asked me.
I nodded. "I went when my sister broke her arm. My mum and dad aren't the best with healing spells- believe me, there's a reason all the cousins do not let them heal if they get injured while at our house."
We all laughed and grabbed our bags and headed to class.
Once we all got to Transfiguration, we realised that we were a minute late. Uncle Fred- er, I mean Professor Weasley- just smirked and gave a smile at Norrie.
"Welcome back, Norrie! Take a seat next to Rose, will you? Al next to Scorpis, there ya go- and Zack, sit next to Arianna there."
Zack pulled led a funny face when he was told to sit next to Arianna Mendoza- a stuck Ravenclaw.
I glanced at Norrie, who seemed rather uncomfortable sitting next to Rose.
NORRIE'S P.O.V.:
I sat sat next to Rose Weasley, and gave her a small smile which she returned. I hoped I could make friends with her, since she seems really nice.
"Hi- oh my Merlin is that the book Mockingjay?" I asked her.
She nodded. "It's my absolute favourite in the Hunger Gamer Triology. Why are you asking?" She asked me, curious.
"Because I love Suzanne Colins work!" I whisper exclaimed.
She grinned. "My only other cousin who enjoys reading is Al, and I don't know anybody else who loves to read."
I, too, grinned. "I know! I love to read. Okay?"
"Okay." She said, as both our eyes welled up with tears.
"It was... Just... Agustus!"
"I know! Green is such a heartbreaker!"
We were then suddenly crying, and we were looked at quite weirdly by everybody in the class.
Professor Weasley awkwardly said, "Erm... Do you guys need to go in the hall?"
"No! It's just... I'm like a gernade!"
"Okay?" Rose asked me, smiling through the tears.
"Okay." I replied, smiling through the tears as well.
"Yeah, you guys need to see a therapist or something. There's one up in McGonagalls office."
And that, my friends, is how Rose Weasley and I became friends.
Al's P.O.V.:
I walked to the library on February twenty-first, carrying my book bag. I was suppose to write an essay on Werewolves for Defense Against the Dark Arts because we are learning about the attack of Werewolves in some old ancient year.
Professor Jackson doesn't even look at our work, but I think the ones who only try are Rose and Norrie. Weirdly, the two seem to be the best of friends now.
Ever since that thing in Transfiguration when they were crying over some dude named Agustus Waters and this heartbreaker John Green, Rose has bee hanging out with us. I personally think that it's cool, because Norrie needs another girl to hang with sometimes.
Thank God I didn't say that to her face, or else I would be screwed...
I sat down at the nearest table by the book shelf about magical creatures and took out some parchment and two quills and a bottle of black ink.
Why can't we use pencils or something?
I began to write my essay.
"Werewolves can be anybody, and you would only know if they revealed their secret to you or you find out using facts. Or if you just see them transform, which I really don't think you might want to try and see.
They transform during the full moon each month, and when there is a blue moon, they transform twice that month since that month is expierencing two full moons in its lunar cycle."
I wrote a lot more than that, but once I did finish writing it, I had only one thought going through my head.
Norrie's a werewolf.
