I don't own Harry Potter, much to my dismay. If I did I would be rich! Yeah, I'm not rich.

The Life of Albus Potter

Chapter 14: Questions and Answers

I lay on my bed, sighing at the memory of last time I was in this room. It was easier back then- it was easier at Christmas.

But now I have to reside in the same house as my Gryffindork brother for three whole months.

I expressed my thoughts as I sat down at the dinner table that night.

"You know, I think that you Gryffindorks have to reslize that Slytherin beat you in the House Cup fair and square."

"Slytherin won?" Dad asked, a bit of shock playing on his face. I knew that he had tried his best to hide it, but it was actually in plain sight to me.

"Yes. And, James, it's not my fault that I actually do homework."

"Yes it is! You only passed because of Norrie-" he began to argue.

"Boys, settle down." Mum had scolded as she set down the spaghetti on the table.

And that was how most of the Summer Holidays went in all technality.

I tried to ignore my idiotic brother. The key word being tried.

I had gone back to being how I was before I had gotten sorted into Slytherin quickly. I hid in my room, reading, and reading, and reading. I would listen to some music while I read, and I would only exit for meals, bathroom uses (you know, going number two and such, showering...), and to get a new book or something of that sort.

I think my parents were getting worried, when I don't think they had a reason to be worried in all honesty.

Well... I suppose they do have a reason, maybe- I have been very antisocial, declining any sort of contact with the world outside of the comfort of my room.

Yeah, I think that that might be a pretty good reason for my parents to worry about me...

Anyway, I was sitting on my bed, underneath the covers, with light on my nightstand on, I had the book "The House of Hades" in my hands. This would be my third time reading it.

My parents came in, closed the door, and sat on my bed.

"Hello?" I asked, unsure of their reason for visiting me.

"Hi, Al. So, James told me about that little wave*..." Dad chuckled.

"Oh, after I got sorted into Slytherin?" I retorted.

Mum nodded. "So... How is Slytherin?"

My eyes lit up with joy, I know they did. I also only know because there's a mirror across from my bed.

"Oh, it's amazing! The Common Room is really cool- we're under the Black Lake! The fire is green, and it's really awesome! It's hard to explain... But it feels like a second home to me."

"So your okay with being in Slytherin?" Dad pondered.

I nodded as I put my bookmark in my book and placed it on my nightstand.

"Yeah, I think I belong there, in all honesty. I think Gryffindor just wouldn't suit me. The Gryffindork of a brother that I have has this HUGE crush on Norrie. Norrie is in Slytherin."

"Which you think is an advantage, huh?" Dad laughed.

A flush of pink fille up my face. Is it hot in here, or is it just me? Well that was the answer to Dad's question, I suppose.

"Anyway," I said, finally getting over my momment of embarrassment. "I really like it, Slytherin. I am away from the family, which can sometimes be a good thing, and I like being able to say that I'm the first Potter to be in Slytherin."

"Actually, you great-grandma Dorea Potter was in Slytherin." Mum pointed out.

"Yeah, like a billion years ago."

"Anyway, I think that it's high time that you have had the Talk."

The Talk.

"You and Rose will be having that Talk with Aunt Mione, Uncle Ron, your father and I. It will be tommorrow."

"Oh great. Great way to start off my first time seeing Rose this summer." I sarcasticly said.

So.
