A/N: Hai everyone! I'm not Tom. I'm going to be working on RTJ from now on, at least for a while. Don't worry, I'm still getting advice from Tom, so Reddy won't get too different (hopefully), and we both hope to bring you the best RTJ as possible. I'm always open to critisism and suggestions, and I love hearing from you, so make sure to leave comments! I think that's it for now from me, so enjoy the story! - Ice

A/A/N: This is Tom. Yes, I have handed over the reins, so to speak, of RTJ to the fabulous IceQueen2196, both a longtime fan and brilliant writer. Not me brilliant, but still pretty damn good.
My own impressions of this? For now, I'm just glad that this is off the ground again, and am looking forward to a brilliant time with Ice here.

That came out wrong.

Nevermind.

Just read it.

Red Tornado's Journal: November 4th

The Team was issued a general recon mission by the Batman today. I think I will take advantage of the peace and quiet by powering down and recharging.

Red Tornado's Journal: November 5th

Returned to work with the John Smith android today. Noticeable surge in energy detected from all students (approximately 8.376% to 27.58% increase), resulting in two fights, seven heated arguments, and the assignment of nineteen detentions. I returned to the Cave with 9.75 pounds of homework, tests, and extra credit to grade. I am debating asking Kid Flash to assist in the grading, but do not know if he would be a help or would hinder what work I would be able to do on my own.

Overheard Artemis and Zatanna complaining about the teaching style and amount of homework given in John Smith's class. Robin seems unaffected. Perhaps I should ask their suggestions on how class could be improved.

Red Tornado's Journal: November 6th

Went on a walk in the John Smith android. Zatanna and Robin were whispering together, too quietly for my audio receptors to pick up, when I returned. They ceased speaking as soon as they saw me. Zatanna gave Robin a smile that can only be described as "sly" and ran out of the room soon after my entrance.

What were they speaking of?

Someone mysteriously drugged Superboy and locked him in a closet, along with approximately three hundred miniature stuffed monkeys. I have a strange sense that this has happened before.

Kid Flash was seen rolling on the floor of the kitchen with laughter, and had a few pieces of green fur on his outfit. It is highly likely that this was his doing.

Red Tornado's Journal: November 7th

Saw Zatanna and Robin whispering again today. Managed to make out "Wally," "Artemis," "portable heater," "spray paint," and "four dozen pounds of whole, raw shrimp" before they noticed me and stopped speaking. Robin gave Zatanna a smile similar to Cheshire's mask and left. I am now fearful of what those two may be planning. Trackers activated.

Finished grading the last papers from John Smith's class. Now they just have to be passed back. I cannot wait (Sarcasm sub-routine: 347% output capability). I believe I am beginning to understand why students look forward to winter break with such eagerness.

Red Tornado's Journal: November 8th

Re-arranged the seating chart in class, putting Artemis behind Zatanna and in front of Robin. I am still creating my next move with Chalant; hopefully this will buy me time.

Overheard part of a conversation between the Batman and Black Canary aboard the Watchtower when I reported for monitor duty. Included an audio transcript:

BATMAN: I refuse to let him be distracted. As soon as he starts worrying about her in a fight, he opens himself up to attack. I know. I do it myself sometimes.

BLACK CANARY: He's a teenage boy, you're not going to be able to stop him. They obviously like each other, and telling him he's wrong for feeling the way he feels isn't going to help anything. You're his father, you're supposed to help him through this!

BATMAN: Him getting hurt isn't going to help anything, either.

BLACK CANARY: You're being unreasonable. He's growing up, you can accept that or not as you choose but you can't change it. And there are worse girls in the world.

BATMAN: This topic is not open for debate.

BLACK CANARY: In case you hadn't noticed, he does what he wants. He might not blatantly disobey a direct order from you, but is getting your way really worth his happiness and mental health?

I can only assume that Robin is the boy they were speaking of, in terms of logic; the identity of the female of which they were speaking is unknown to me. I have a sneaking suspicion it is Zatanna Zatara.

I am fully prepared to accept that this shall prove to be the end of the world.

Red Tornado's Journal: November 9th

Obtained more ABBA CD's today, thanks to the John Smith android.

Returned to the Cave to find M'gann, Zatanna, Artemis, Rocket, and Black Canary seated on the couch, watching a motion picture (commonly termed "movie") and eating large amounts of "iced cream" while performing the human action known as "crying."

When I inquired as to what was the matter, Zatanna replied (I quote), "It's just so *sniffle* romantic how much *sob* Jack and Rose love each *sob* other, even though *sniffle sniffle* they can never be together! *wailing sob*"

Black Canary assured me that everything was "all right" and they were simply "feeling emotional" so they'd decided to "watch movies" and eat "iced cream" to feel better. Research corroborates: this is a common occurrence with females.

However, with regards to the original reason for the "movie night", as Kid Flash would say, "Yeah, and Santa Claus shot JFK."

Red Tornado's Journal: November 10th

Found Kid Flash carrying Artemis to her room, after she fell asleep on the couch in the living room. He gave her a very caring look and made sure she was comfortable in bed before brushing her hair out of her face and leaving.

Could he feel romantically attracted to Artemis?

More to the point...is the world prepared for what could happen if he were to pursue those feelings?

Made immediate plans to construct a nuclear fallout shelter underneath Mount Justice to house my precious CD collection.
