The Last Round Bar, Downtown Los Angeles

Maximillian Strauss glided at a clipped pace through the dingy bar and entered the back room. The distaste he normally felt when he was forced to enter this place never had a chance to creep into his mind, so great was his preoccupation. He took a seat at the table then looked around to see who had already arrived. Nines Rodriguez sat at the head of the table in the "governor's" chair. Skelter sat to the right of him, representing the Brujah clan. Then came Isaac Abrams for the Toreador. Therese Voerman for the Malkavians was next to his own seat and then on his right would be Gary Golden of the Nosferatu. This left the Gangrel and Venture chairs empty.

"I would ask we begin this meeting. I fear the matter is urgent enough we must act with haste." Strauss opened

"A little melodramatic don't you think?" Nines stated unimpressed.

"Let's at least humor him enough to find out why he called an emergency session. I have never known Strauss to enjoy these meeting any more than we do." Abrams stated.

Nines simply shrugged and waved Strauss on knowing it would annoy him even more.

"My sources have discovered a convoy of large vans have entered our territory from the south. The vans contain Sabbat raiding parties. They are coordinating with the spies they have in the city to learn the location of a being that has extraordinary powers who early last June wiped out an entire Sabbat stronghold here in Los Angeles. They plan to seek him out and bury him in numbers. They have prepared not only almost one hundred regular shovel heads, but thirty or forty vampires who have survived repeated Sabbat skirmishes into enemy territory. After the weaker vampires wear this being down, the lieutenants will then move in for the kill. They will, of course fail, and this powerful being will then have every reason to hate and hunt our kind. We must stop this madness at once." Straus said.

Skelter gave a chuckle. Abrams raised an eyebrow in incredulity.

"You really think with 140 vampires the Sabbat is going to fail? It sounds to me like we need to prep our defenses for what they decide to hit after they are through with this...whatever it is." Nines stated. He then turned to the Nosferatu as he continued.

"Gary, find out what targets are likely to be hit once you have the van's locations from Strauss. Skelter, once you have those locations start moving our people into defensive locations around those targets. Abrams, as no one else decided to share this information with us plan to send some warnings out that the truces are over and all future requests for aid and information from us will be meet with a 'Fuck you'."

"Diplomatic." Abrams stated simply.

"Well, tell them it will be a very polite fuck you." Nines countered.

Strauss rose from his chair, grasped it firmly, and shattered it upon the middle of the table. Everyone seated there slid back in shock.

"I believe you misunderstand the gravity of the news I bring you, or perhaps you mistake my warning for hyperbole. They. Will. Fail. The being I tell you of would appear, at first glance, to be only a young college age male. However, coursing through his body is exponentially greater power than a Manifested, and like their power it is aspected. In particular this being is aspected toward sunlight! If you think the Fire Manifested are a threat, I warn you, this being is far, far greater and a lack of action on our parts will turn him into a dedicated hunter of our kind. Ignore me at your own peril. Whether you act or not, Clan Tremere will. Even now we are preparing the Chantry for evacuation and self destruction." Straus stated.

"Wait a minute...one guy? All of this over one kid?" Skelter asked.

"Believe me mister Skelter were there more than one such being in this city we would have already evacuated. I have been approved to sacrifice the chantry and all members of my clan in this city if need be to prove we are not out to kill him. I can tarry no longer." Strauss said as he turned to leave.

"I believe him. I've have second hand information on this subject and urge you all to take Strauss seriously." Therese said in her typical cold, slightly hostile tone.

"I as well. My reports indicate he slew eight vampires in under two minutes and his power has likely grown. He had manifested these powers less than a week before when that happened." Gary added.

"Then it sounds to me like we'd better do something but the question is what?" Abrams asked.

"Alright. I need to know everything you know. No holding back. What are we dealing with and where are those vans?" Nines asked as he looked about the table.

Strauss returned to his place at the table and stood. His standing would convey a sense of urgency and push the others to quick action. Lucky for them all, Therese and Gary had also played their parts well. Perhaps they would be able to herd the misfits into acting before it was too late to prevent the Sabbat's stupidity from pushing Kashi Kimura into declaring war on all vampires.

Carl's Cafe, Inglewood

The hipster mage named Greg looked up from his book. The tablet laying on the table in front of him had sprung to life with a sudden vibration. It slightly worried him. He lifted it to see what set it off. He let out a sigh of relief when he saw it was only a hunter in the area around the subject. This hunter had been flagged as knowing something of their charge's life and being interested in her brother's supernatural powers. Skimming briefly through his dossier, he smiled to himself. He was pretty obviously harmless, likely out chasing kids in halloween costumes while looking for actual goblins hiding among the trick or treaters, he decided. In fact he likely didn't even know he was close to the charge as she was not inside the bounds of the protectorate they had cordoned off around her house so long ago. In fact he went back out of the alarm's proximity pretty quickly. Greg touched the tablet silencing the alarm and went back to reading.

A few seconds later the tablet vibrated again. With a frustrated sigh, Greg picked it up. It was the same hunter. He had again crossed into the bounds of the warning area. Disgruntled at the interruption, Greg went into the menu and turned all the alarms off. He was not about to have a quiet night ruined because some moron felt the need to prowl through the bushes in a paranoid, Halloween fueled search for monsters.

As such, he didn't see or hear when the vans filled with vampires filed through into his device's sensor radius only a few moments later.

Across the diner someone else, however, was very aware of these facts. The large hunter peered into his laptop's screen with rising worry.

Runner88: Is he really as powerful as Seeker thinks?

Donboy: Can't be if his aura doesn't make real vampire smiting sunlight.

LucyNDskies: Trust me boys I saw what he could do. I don't think we have to fear him

turning against us, but we do need to help him. This is a lot of vampires.

NewKid6: We could wait see how he does. Could be a chance to test what he can

really do.

Nurse934: Newbie that is awful! We are not going to put peoples lives at risk to

satisfy curiosity! They still seem to be searching for something BTW.

Stylez: He's not a weapon, he's a person.

Seeker143: I get the feeling he's both.

Runner88: What do you mean?

Seeker143: Powers like his don't come about by chance. He seems perfectly set up to

fight vampires or things like them. I think it's what he was made for. I think he's like us, and that is why we were told to watch for them.

Nurse934: They are turning back into Ladera. The vans are headed right for you,

Seeker.

Seeker143: That's it, then. They are going after RisingSun. The full lot. No splitting up.

BigBoy: Neither of you are combatants. Get out of there and wait for the cavalry.

LucyNDskies: On my way I'm not far.

Keeper975: Hit the front Lucy. I'm going for the back about to log out and get in the

truck.

Seeker143: If you're out in East LA you're going to be too late.

Keeper975: I'm not. I'm in Inglewood, watching the mom. Logging off.

The hunter quickly packed up the laptop and hastily bolted out of the diner. He flashed his waitress, Banyan, a smile.

"Keep the change from what I left on the table." He said with a grin covering his haste.

Outside he was all business. He got into his truck and took off. He checked his GPS and set course. Now that he knew they were going directly for the source, rather than seeking to avenge themselves on his family, he had to move quickly. That many vampires could turn L.A. into a blood bath and if the local fangsters got word it would only get worse. He just knew it.

The Jones Residence Ladera Heights

Ken, having tired of the card game he was playing, was attempting to teach Willow to dance. Willow, who had never really had the occasion to dance before flailed about in an attempt to keep up with Ken's decidedly more smooth dance moves. In fact, Ken did everything so smoothly he definitely fit the role his Great Gatsby costume provided. The movie had not even made it to theaters but then Ken tended to be a trendsetter.

"I feel like an idiot! I can sing, but I've never never really learned to dance. Kashi always said it was the bullet in my dream of being a pop star." Willow confessed.

"I'm surprised your brother never taught you. I hear Kashi is a good dancer. But, I guess that would make sense. He's pretty agile on the soccer field." Ken replied with a grin.

"Kashi can only thrust and grind. If it's not dirty dancing he can't do it and I didn't want to dance like that. It is probably easier then this is." Willow confessed frustrated.

"Don't' worry everyone has to start somewhere. Don't be so nervous." Ken said soothingly.

"Easy for you to say. I feel like I'm all elbows and knees." Willow nervously peeped.

"That would be because you're not even thirteen and have the build of an emaciated ten year old." A snide voice called out.

Willow almost fell over as she turned to find the source of the familiar voice. She stopped herself from tipping and spotted her old Jr. High nemesis, Grace. She had luckily not encountered Grace since they had started High School. She had heard Grace was busy trying to navigate the transfer from queen of the top tier social rung in middle school. She had been industriously sucking up to those cliques that being a freshman did not bar her from joining. She had a lot of people to convince she was of the elite to claw her way back up.

Willows pale skin blushed furiously. Her mind was reeling. she had not been prepared for this. Grace was dressed as Catwoman from the Dark Knight Rises. The costume looked good with her Latino coloration. It also had the effect of making Willow feel as pale as a sheet of paper by comparison. Grace alway made her feel physically defective. In part this was because of her early and generous physical endowment by puberty with curves Willow had lacked. Over the years, Grace had perfected cutting Willow down to a art. An art she'd mastered. It was just then, that something brought Willow out of her mental tailspin.

"Hey! You wanna dial the bitch down a bit?" A sophomore, who was costumed as Captain America, that Willow didn't know cut in.

"What do you want? I know this girl. She's a freak." Grace said icily

"Oh? I hear she's Kashi Kimura's little sister. Kashi's kinda got a thing for stuffing bullies into lockers or hanging them up flagpoles for picking on freshmen. Even ones he doesn't even really know. I'd hate to imagine what he'd do to a snippy little bitch with a junior high chip on her shoulder ragging on his own sister." The sophomore continued.

"So.. she's' got a brother. Big... deal?" Grace started to quip, her voice dying in her throat.

She felt the shift of energy in the room as everyone's eyes fell on her. Grace was not used to being on this side of things but knew she'd made a major misstep. It seemed Kashi's memory had not quickly vanished from his former school. The freshmen he had helped were now sophomores who remembered his kindness. She searched for a way to extract herself from this.

"Some people just have trouble letting go. I'll bet these two have a history, Alan. It is Alan, isn't it?" Ken said with a good natured lilt.

"Yeah, I'm Alan. I think I know you... Wait, you're Ken Baker, aren't ya? You were trying out for soccer." He looked around. Grace had vanished just as suddenly as she'd appeared. "Yeah you're right. Let's all leave the junior high B.S. for the kiddies down in the basement and try to have a good time." Alan said.

Kimmy slipped up to Willow excitedly. She had also often been the target of Grace's biting jokes in school.

"Oh my God! That was so cool! I've never seen Grace deflated like that!" She jabbered as she smoothed her flapper girl costume.

Willow wondered, not for the first time, how Kimmy had known what Ken was going to be wearing. She shoved the thought out of her mind.

"I've noticed people are a lot nicer to me than they were in junior high. I guess I have Kashi to thank for that." Willow said begrudgingly.

"Speaking of Kashi, let's go see your brother…. and his date too of course! I have to see who helped you put together such an impressive costume, Willow." He complimented. "Kimmy, you want to come too? We can get punch while Grace cools down." Ken offered.

"Oh, yeah! Yes! Er... I mean no! I better stay and keep an eye on Grace, just incase she gets bitchy again. You can bring me back a glass of punch." Kimmy retracted her acceptance of Ken's invitation as soon as she saw the dangerous look in Willow's eye.

"Alright, it's a deal then. Let's find this brother of yours." Ken said, giving Willow a wink.

Passing through the kitchen, Ken and Willow picked up snacks and punch. They then walked into the backyard admiring the decorations.

"Now where would Kashi be..." Ken pondered.

"See the 're likely are gathered around him." Willow pointed out.

Kashi was, as predicted, gathering notice. Around half the partygoers were not from the same school system as Kashi and Willow. They had rarely seen Kashi show off. He was playing the bean bag toss soccer style. He was avoiding using his hands while bouncing the bag around like a hacky sack then tossing it into the score targets.

"Of course, if the ball was this small getting it past the goalie would be easy." Kashi bragged.

"That's Sayuri next to him. She and her cousin, Reiko, made the costumes." Willow pointed out to Ken.

Ken walked up with Willow following just after him. He admired both Kashi and Sayuri's costumes while grinning at Kashi's infectious enthusiasm.

"You must have played hacky sack as well as soccer?" Ken asked.

"Hey, Ken! Yeah, I played a little during breaks, though there's not a lot of offerings for hacky sack scholarships." Kashi quipped.

"Oh, so this is Ken. Nice to meet you." Sayuri said as she offered her hand to shake.

Ken, instead, took Sayuri's hand and kissed it like he was the character Gatsby, fully channeling the character he was dressed as.

"To meet such an artist with costumes, the pleasure is all mine my dear." Ken said in an imitation of Leonardo DiCaprio's voice.

Sayuri broke out in an amused smile. She looked over his costume.

"Are you James Gatz AKA the Great Gatsby?" Sayuri asked.

"Indeed, I am and I am quite charmed to find you here at the gala tonight, madam." He said still remaining in character.

"Who's Gatsby?" Kashi asked confused.

"It's a movie coming out sometime later." Justin said as he walked up with Sam.

"It's a book too, Justin. You didn't have Mrs. Niles for English Lit but Kashi and I did. Of course, Kashi didn't read the book. I think he copied of Juanita's test." Sam scolded.

"It's my favorite book and very topical for today as well. I think, sometimes, we are living in a second Jazz Age." Ken gushed.

Willow smiled. She didn't agree with Ken's line of reasoning, but it was nice to have someone she could talk to on such a level.

"Sayuri, I think these are some of the finest costume I have ever seen. You truly have a talent for craft. I really think you could do this professionally. You know, we live in a good area to do workshops in Hollywood." Ken praised.

"Sorry to disappoint you, Ken, but I hope to put these talented hands to an even better use. I'm down for med school." Sayuri revealed.

"Oh! A doctor! Well that is impressive! I guess you're a polymath. Well...then at least we should take pictures of these wonderful costumes." Ken beamed.

Ken had the group pose for pictures. First Willow, Kashi, and Sayuri then Willow and Sayuri then himself and Kashi.

"That's great Kashi! You really look like a sword wielding hero!" Ken complimented.

"Um...thanks guy. I guess I do look pretty good. All the working out does that!" Kashi beamed back.

"I guess we better go back inside. We've taken up enough of your date, Kashi." Willow suggested a note of insistence starting to creep into her voice. She was beginning to feel slightly cognizant of the fact that Sayuri's more than generous cleavage was visibly on display here in front of her prospective boyfriend. It made her self conscious of her own lack of such assets.

"Oh don't worry you're not pestering anyone. Ken's right, these are really good costumes! Sayuri and Reiko did good jobs." Kashi stated.

"I'm pretty proud of them, but I was thinking It's getting late. I'd like to get a dance or two in before we get too tired." Sayuri objected mildly.

"Dancing! Great idea!" Kashi exclaimed, taking Sayuri's hand.

"Of yeah! We've taken too much of your time. Maybe latter we might talk again. I'm sure I'll see you at Kashi and Willows house sometime. I might pick your brain a bit. I've wanted to get into costuming." Ken offered diplomatically.

"Sure thing! I'll even find you some of my old drawing I used to plan these out." Sayuri said as she followed Kashi to the dance floor.

Ken and Willow headed back into the kitchen and refreshed their punch while getting a spare glass for Kimmy.

"So you've always liked The Great Gatsby? I guess loving the book you've been pretty excited about the movie." Willow inquired.

"Oh yeah! It mixes two of my favorite things; the book and I'm also a really big Leonardo DiCaprio fan. To find out Leo is playing Gatsby for me, I imagine, it's like Lord of the Rings fan's excitement that those movies had such a fine cast." Ken gushed.

Willow smiled at Ken, amused by his enthusiasm. Well she'd solved the mystery of how Kimmy knew to dress as a flapper.

As they passed through the open door way, Ken gave a half step like he was recovering from a near trip. Willow turned to look. She noticed some older teens and guys who looked to be in their mid-twenties headed for the backyard. They looked a bit more rough cut then the lot at this party.

"Are you okay, Ken?" Willow asked still watching the suspicious group go.

"I'm fine. I almost spilled Kimmy's drink. One of those jerks almost knocked me down coming around the table." Ken said. He looked a little miffed.

"Yeah they seem odd..." Willow said distracted.

She turned to look out the other open door and saw a seperate, even weirder bunch coming through the front door. This group looked to have crawled out of the urban jungle. They could have been costumes but something told Willow this was their everyday wear. Worried, Willow pulled up her phone and started to text.

"Hey. Find Kimmy for me, Ken and let's stick close to the stairs. I have a bad feeling about this." Willow muttered quietly.

The Last Round Bar, Downtown Los Angeles

Therese Voerman's already straight posture became, if possible, even more rigid as she looked at her phone.

"We're too late. The Sabbat are sending their troops into the party right now." Therese said in an angry clip

"How can you be sure?" Nines asked.

"My twin, Jeanette, forwarded me a text from the sister. She said some suspicious guests had shown up. She was able to recognize them for what they are. She has seen them milling in by 6's into the party. As soon as they find their target, they won't care if they make a scene." Therese explained.

"Then we have tarried too long already. I go with what force we have." Straus said turning.

"This is complex, Maximilian. We can't just attack the Sabbat, as you very well know. We have to cover this attack. We should gather vampires with the social adroitness to sweep what is likely to be a messy combat under the rug." Abrams offered.

"Then they had best hurry. With or without them things will no doubt escalate quickly. I only pray I can make it in time with what force we have now. The powers Mister Kimura wields are far from subtle." Strauss said exiting.

"Abrams get the Venture to step it up and pull your lot in to help, and be quick about getting some of their people in the police to be the first responders! Everyone else who's going come with me." Nines said with a focused intensity as he got up and once again headed off to battle.

The Jones Residence Ladera Heights

Kashi was not enjoying his dance with Sayuri as much as he should have been. He was a bit preoccupied with keeping his dancing from becoming too overtly sexual. For once, he wished he'd learned some tamer dance moves. His attention to self warred with his desire to sweep up and kiss Sayuri while holding her in his arms.

There was also something else that was distracting his split concentration. He kept thinking he saw an out of place face or hostile glare from the other dancers or onlookers. It was never long enough that he could say for sure what or who it was, however, a niggling feeling was building that something was wrong.

Those thoughts all vanished when he realized, excitedly, that the song that just started was a slow tempo song. As he had hoped Sayuri closed into an embrace and resumed dancing with him chest to chest. With her large breasts, skimpy costume top, and Kashi's own bare chest it left a lot of flesh touching. Was it his imagination or could he feel her heartbeat?

"I am so glad I came here with you, Kashi." Sayuri said as she looked up into Kashi's eyes.

"I've never felt so glad to be anywhere." Kashi softly spoke back.

Once again the moment was right, and this time Sayuri was already in his arms. Nothing stood in his way. When he brought his face down Sayuri tilted her face up, her eyes closing and her lips slightly parted in open invitation for his kiss. Kashi had kissed a lot of girls. Never had he felt this spark this energy when his lips met theirs. He knew he would do anything to keep this feeling. He would do anything for the girl in his embrace.

Kashi lost track of how long they'd kissed. He pulled up from the kiss with the heady feel of being drunk, and stared into Sayuri's eyes. He was lost in her gaze when he heard it.

"Hey man, don't be a dick!" An angry voice called out.

Kashi turned, the moment's magic shattered, to see a teen he didn't know. He was angry about another guy jostling him. The accused turned a shoved the complainer to the ground with a casual violence that was startling. His eyes locked with Kashi's. Kashi's mind raced; pale skin, the violent arrogance mixed with cocky self assurance. One word slammed into Kashi's brain: Vampire.

"Sayuri. Listen and don't argue. Go inside. Get Willow get to the car and get out of here. Go home." Kashi insisted, pressing the keys into her palm

"Let's see how you like it, asshole." Justin said shoving at the stranger, who despite being much smaller, stopped the large boy's push with ease.

"We're going to kill you for what you did." The strange vampire said to Kashi.

He leapt straight toward Kashi who stepped back and then, with an unusual quickness, slammed his open palm down on the vampire's head and shoved down, using his attackers own momentum to plant him in the dirt. Kashi then sprinted forward while ushering Sayuri toward the house. The vampire rose hissing angrily. New answering hisses came from all around where second ago Kashi and Sayuri had been dancing.

Like a dam giving way, violence broke out. The vampires casually shoved humans out of the way seeking their target. Kashi looked about frantically. Seeing inspiration he dove for the mirror ball on a stick. Hefting it up he slammed it down on the closet approaching vampire. The ball shattered mirrored tiles sparkled through the air as he then shoved the pole hard into the next attacker's chest.

"That's him! Get him!" A shout came from behind Kashi. He turned to see a new wave of attackers directly behind him coming from inside the house. Turning in a quick spin, Kashi swung to face his assailants only to find his friend Justin giving out a war cry. Justin had picked up one of the tables and, using the flat side of the table, charged the massed attackers. These vampires didn't seem as strong as the one he'd shoved. They tumbled backwards into the kitchen blocked by the table.

"Who are these guys?!" Justin asked, bewildered.

"Some sort of gang it looks like." Brandon answered kicking away at another vampire.

Kashi looked to find that his friends were defending the party goers with him except for Toshi who was ducking and dodging but had yet to throw a punch.

"Toshi, you're not a fighter! Get clear! You don't have the martial arts or wrestling training the rest of us have." Kashi yelled to his younger friend.

"He's right, Toshi! Find something else to do to help! You suck at fighting." Sam agreed. She had taken martial arts defense classes for years, and as such was able to handle herself.

"God you suck, Toshi! You're Asian for God's sake! Not to mention the only full blooded one here and you suck at martial arts?!" Brandon yelled back somewhat playfully. He, like Justin and Kashi had also been on the wrestling team in high school. Not to mention, along with taking some martial arts classes with Kashi and Sam, he'd been in more than his fair share of fist fights.

"Oh bite me, Brandon! You, Justin and Kashi wrestled! I took track you ass!" Toshi replied testily. He was not in a good place at the moment.

Kashi turned as he clocked an oncoming vampire with the metal pole of the mirror ball. "Then use the skills you have! Run for the side door! These guys are coming through the house! Open that locked side gate and start guiding these people away from here! Justin! That table is cracking! Get out of there! Some of these guys might have guns! Some are... umm... umm... hopped up on drugs and really strong! Brandon, cover Toshi! Sam! Get those people in the corner moved around before they get pinned!" Kashi shouted. He had instinctively begun to give tactical orders to help his friends. Other than captaining a team, he had never been particularly strategic or even good at planning anything out, but these ideas came to him almost effortlessly for some reason.

Kashi's friends leapt to do as he'd told them. Kashi held the mirror ball in his hands and steeled himself for when the vampires spilled out of the house. The now unheld table was tossed aside as vampires poured forth from behind it. He attacked several more vampires with the metal pole while retreating away toward the back fence, leading his assailants away from the others.

"I can't get this open! It's locked with a master lock!" Toshi called out desperately.

"Toshi! Kick it! Your legs are strong! The wood will give way!" Sam yelled, slightly agitated.

Toshi, only half hearing over the noise, smacked into the gate with with his shoulder. It didn't budge. Wincing in pain, he dodged out of the way as Justin came roaring toward the gate like he was charging an offensive lineman. He slammed into the gate, splintering the wood, causing it to burst open. Justin hit the door so hard, he couldn't regain his footing and tumbled to the ground on the other side.

"Lets get a move on! Toshi lead them out! We'll cover you!" Brandon called out as he helped Justin to his feet.

Sam fell back with the last of the trapped people. She looked to see Kashi, who was nearly obscured behind a wall of attackers.

"Get out of there Kashi!" She urged.

"Just go!" Kashi replied.

"Kashi! YOU get out you're trapped!" Sam yelled.

Kashi's impromptu 'staff' had been twisted into near worthlessness. He tossed it to the side. He saw, out of the corner of his eye, his prop sword that he had put down to dance with Sayuri. He seized it and and, instinctively swung it in a wide arc. The fanciful weapon impacted the closest vampire, causing the fiberglass sword to shattered in an explosion of golden sparks. The force of the blowed knocked the hapless vampire back into his allies. A second vampire stopped. He was shocked at what he'd just seen. Kashi stopped for a second as well, he was equally dumbfounded. He and the second vampire's eyes met briefly before, seizing the opportunity, Kashi stabbed the jagged shards that were left attached to the handle of his weapon into the dumbfounded vampire's throat.

It was then he noticed the faint glimmers of light beginning to radiate from the top of his brow, just above his peripheral vision. He cursed. He knew he was beginning to use too much of the power inside him. He had to get out of there.

Kashi leapt up atop the fence. Looking back he yelled to his friends. "Sam, Brandon, Justin! Get out of here now! I'll lead them away!" Kashi yelled.

Kashi looked back toward the house. He didn't see Sayuri anymore. He hoped she was out of the house already. However, what he did see filled him with dread. Mrs. Jones was just inside the door that lead out toward the patio. She was laying in a pool of blood.

Kashi dove off the back of the fence. He'd lead these bastards away...he hoped.

"Kashi you idiot!" He heard Sam cry out.

Kashi called the light to him. He felt it, instinctually. He felt it suffusing his legs. He leapt and dashed into the night with near inhuman speed with vampires leaping over the fence after him.
